BSB BSB: Then I saw a beast with ten horns and seven heads rising out of the sea. There were ten royal crowns on its horns and blasphemous names on its heads.
2 ULB ನಾನು ಕಂಡ ಮೃಗವು ಚಿರತೆಯಂತಿತ್ತು ಅದರ ಕಾಲುಗಳು ಕರಡಿಯ ಕಾಲುಗಳಂತೆಯೂ ಅದರ ಬಾಯಿ ಸಿಂಹದ ಬಾಯಿಯಂತೆಯೂ ಇದ್ದವು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಘಟಸರ್ಪನು ಶಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನೂ, ಸಿಂಹಾಸನವನ್ನೂ, ಮಹಾ ಅಧಿಕಾರವನ್ನೂ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು. BSB BSB: The beast I saw was like a leopard, with the feet of a bear and the mouth of a lion. And the dragon gave the beast his power and his throne and great authority.
3 ULB ಅದರ ತಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ತಲೆ ಗಾಯಹೊಂದಿ ಸಾಯುವ ಹಾಗಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಕಂಡೆನು. ಆ ಮರಣಕರವಾದ ಗಾಯವು ವಾಸಿಯಾಯಿತು, ಭೂಲೋಕದವರೆಲ್ಲರು ಆ ಮೃಗವನ್ನು ನೋಡುತ್ತಾ ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯಪಟ್ಟರು. BSB BSB: One of the heads of the beast appeared to have been mortally wounded. But the mortal wound was healed, and the whole world marveled and followed the beast.
4 ULB ಘಟಸರ್ಪನು ಆ ಮೃಗಕ್ಕೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟವನಾದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ಆ ಘಟಸರ್ಪನಿಗೆ ಆರಾಧನೆ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಆ ಮೃಗಕ್ಕೂ ಆರಾಧನೆ ಮಾಡಿ, <<ಈ ಮೃಗಕ್ಕೆ ಸಮಾನರು ಯಾರು? ಇದರ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಯುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಯಾರು ಶಕ್ತರು?>> ಎಂದರು. BSB BSB: They worshiped the dragon who had given authority to the beast, and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast, and who can wage war against it?”
5 ULB ಬಡಾಯಿಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನೂ ದೂಷಣೆಯ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಆಡುವ ಬಾಯಿ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿತು ಮತ್ತು ನಲವತ್ತೆರಡು ತಿಂಗಳ ಪರ್ಯಂತರ ತನ್ನ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ನಡಿಸುವ ಅಧಿಕಾರವೂ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿತು. BSB BSB: The beast was given a mouth to speak arrogant and blasphemous words, and authority to act for 42 months.
6 ULB ಆ ಮೃಗವು ಬಾಯಿದೆರೆದು ದೇವರನ್ನು ದೂಷಿಸಿದ್ದಲ್ಲದೆ ಆತನ ನಾಮವನ್ನೂ, ಆತನು ವಾಸಿಸುವ ನಿವಾಸವನ್ನೂ, ಪರಲೋಕ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ದೂಷಿಸಿತು. BSB BSB: And the beast opened its mouth to speak blasphemies against God and to slander His name and His tabernacle—those who dwell in heaven.
7 ULB ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ದೇವಜನರ ಮೇಲೆ ಯುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಜಯಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರ ಕೊಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿತು ಮತ್ತು ಸಕಲ ಕುಲ, ಜನ, ಭಾಷೆ, ಜನಾಂಗಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರವು ಕೊಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿತು. BSB BSB: Then the beast was permitted to wage war against the saints and to conquer them, and it was given authority over every tribe and people and tongue and nation.
8 ULB ಜಗದುತ್ಪತ್ತಿಗೆ ಮೊದಲೇ ಕೊಯ್ಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಕುರಿಮರಿಯಾದಾತನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಜೀವಬಾಧ್ಯರ ಪುಸ್ತಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರಾರ ಹೆಸರುಗಳು ಬರೆದಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೋ ಆ ಭೂನಿವಾಸಿಗಳೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಆರಾಧನೆ ಮಾಡುವರು. BSB BSB: And all who dwell on the earth will worship the beast—all whose names have not been written from the foundation of the world in the Book of Life belonging to the Lamb who was slain.
9 ULB ಕಿವಿಯುಳ್ಳವನು ಕೇಳಲಿ, BSB BSB: He who has an ear, let him hear:
10 ULB ಸೆರೆಹಿಡಿಯುವವನು ತಾನೇ ಸೆರೆಗೆ ಹೋಗುವನು, ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಕೊಲ್ಲುವವನು ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದಲೇ ಸಾಯುವನು. ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವಜನರಿಗೆ ತಾಳ್ಮೆಯೂ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯೂ ಅಗತ್ಯವಾಗಿರಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ. BSB BSB: “If anyone is destined for captivity, into captivity he will go; if anyone is to die by the sword, by the sword he must be killed.” Here is a call for the perseverance and faith of the saints.
11 ULB ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಮೃಗವು ಭೂಮಿಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ಬರುವುದನ್ನು ಕಂಡೆನು. ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಕುರಿಮರಿಗಿರುವಂತೆ ಎರಡು ಕೊಂಬುಗಳಿದ್ದವು, ಅದು ಘಟಸರ್ಪದಂತೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿತು. BSB BSB: Then I saw another beast rising out of the earth. This beast had two horns like a lamb, but spoke like a dragon.
12 ULB ಈ ಮೃಗವು ಮೊದಲನೆಯ ಮೃಗದ ಎದುರು ತನ್ನ ಅಧಿಕಾರವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಡೆಸಿ, ಮರಣಕರವಾದ ಗಾಯ ವಾಸಿಯಾದ ಮೊದಲನೆಯ ಮೃಗಕ್ಕೆ ಭೂಲೋಕವೂ ಭೂನಿವಾಸಿಗಳೂ ಆರಾಧಿಸುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿತು. BSB BSB: And this beast exercised all the authority of the first beast and caused the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose mortal wound had been healed.
13 ULB ಇದು ಜನರ ಮುಂದೆ ಬೆಂಕಿ ಆಕಾಶದಿಂದ ಭೂಮಿಗೆ ಇಳಿದುಬರುವಂತಹ ಅದ್ಭುತಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾ, BSB BSB: And the second beast performed great signs, even causing fire from heaven to come down to earth in the presence of the people.
14 ULB ಆ ಮೊದಲನೆಯ ಮೃಗದ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹತ್ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವ ಅಧಿಕಾರವಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಭೂನಿವಾಸಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮರಳುಗೊಳಿಸಿತ್ತು. ಅವರಿಗೆ, ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಗಾಯಹೊಂದಿ ಸಾಯದೆ ಬದುಕಿದ ಮೃಗದ ಘನಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ವಿಗ್ರಹವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ಬೋಧಿಸಿತು. BSB BSB: Because of the signs it was given to perform on behalf of the first beast, it deceived those who dwell on the earth, telling them to make an image to the beast that had been wounded by the sword and yet had lived.
15 ULB ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಆ ಮೃಗದ ವಿಗ್ರಹಕ್ಕೆ ಜೀವಕೊಡುವ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯವು ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ದೊರೆಯಿತು. ಆ ಮೃಗದ ವಿಗ್ರಹವು ಮಾತನಾಡುವುದಲ್ಲದೆ, ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಆರಾಧಿಸದವರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಮರಣದಂಡನೆಯಾಗುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಶಕ್ತಿಯು ಆದಕ್ಕಿತ್ತು. BSB BSB: The second beast was permitted to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that the image could speak and cause all who refused to worship it to be killed.
16 ULB ಈ ಎರಡನೆಯ ಮೃಗವು, ದೊಡ್ಡವರು, ಚಿಕ್ಕವರು, ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವಂತರು, ಬಡವರು, ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರರು, ದಾಸರು ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ತಮ್ಮತಮ್ಮ ಬಲಗೈಯ ಮೇಲಾಗಲಿ, ಹಣೆಯ ಮೇಲಾಗಲಿ ಗುರುತನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಬೇಕೆಂದು ಒತ್ತಾಯ ಮಾಡಿತ್ತು. BSB BSB: And the second beast required all people, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their forehead,
17 ULB ಆ ಗುರುತು ಯಾರಿಗಿಲ್ಲವೋ ಅವರು ಕ್ರಯ ವಿಕ್ರಯಗಳನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆ ಗುರುತು ಯಾವುದೆಂದರೆ ಮೊದಲನೆಯ ಮೃಗದ ಹೆಸರು ಅಥವಾ ಅದರ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಸೂಚಿಸುವ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ. BSB BSB: so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark—the name of the beast or the number of its name.
18 ULB ಇದನ್ನು ಗ್ರಹಿಸಲು ಜ್ಞಾನವು ಅಗತ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ. ಬುದ್ಧಿವಂತನು ಆ ಮೃಗದ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯನ್ನು ಎಣಿಸಲಿ, ಅದು ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನು ಸೂಚಿಸುವ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಅದರ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯು 666. BSB BSB: Here is a call for wisdom: Let the one who has insight calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and that number is 666.
