1 ULB ನವೊಮಿಯ ಗಂಡನಾದ ಎಲೀಮೆಲೆಕನ ಗೋತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೋವಜನೆಂಬ ಬಹು ಧನವಂತನಾದ ಒಬ್ಬ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಕನಿದ್ದನು. BSB BSB: Now Naomi had a relative on her husband’s side, a prominent man of noble character from the clan of Elimelech, whose name was Boaz.
2 ULB ಮೋವಾಬ್ಯಳಾದ ರೂತಳು ನವೊಮಿಗೆ, <<ನಾನು ಹೋಗಿ, ಹಕ್ಕಲ ತೆನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಆಯ್ದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಅವಕಾಶ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಡುವವರ ಹೊಲದಿಂದ ತೆನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಬರುತ್ತೇನೆ>> ಅಂದಳು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ನವೊಮಿ <<ಹೋಗಿ ಬಾ ಮಗಳೆ>> ಅಂದಳು. BSB BSB: And Ruth the Moabitess said to Naomi, “Please let me go into the fields and glean heads of grain after someone in whose sight I may find favor.” “Go ahead, my daughter,” Naomi replied.
3 ULB ಆಕೆಯು ದೈವಯೋಗದಿಂದ ಎಲೀಮೆಲೆಕನ ಗೋತ್ರದವನಾದ ಬೋವಜನ ಸ್ವತ್ತಾಗಿದ್ದ ಹೊಲಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿ ತೆನೆ ಕೊಯ್ಯುವವರ ಹಿಂದಿನಿಂದ ಹಕ್ಕಲಾಯುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದಳು. BSB BSB: So Ruth departed and went out into the field and gleaned after the harvesters. And she happened to come to the part of the field belonging to Boaz, who was from the clan of Elimelech.
4 ULB ಆಗ ಬೋವಜನು ಬೇತ್ಲೆಹೇಮಿನಿಂದ ಹೊಲಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದು ಕೊಯ್ಯುವವರಿಗೆ, <<ಯೆಹೋವನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಇರಲಿ>> ಅಂದನು. ಅವರು, <<ಯೆಹೋವನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಲಿ>> ಎಂದು ಹರಸಿದರು. BSB BSB: Just then Boaz arrived from Bethlehem and said to the harvesters, “The LORD be with you.” “The LORD bless you,” they replied.
5 ULB ತೆನೆ ಕೊಯ್ಯುವವರ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ರೂತಳನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಬೋವಜನು ತೆನೆ ಕೊಯ್ಯುವವರನ್ನು ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಲು ನೇಮಿಸಿದ್ದ ತನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನನ್ನು, <<ಈ ಹೆಂಗಸು ಯಾರು?>> ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ BSB BSB: And Boaz asked the foreman of his harvesters, “Whose young woman is this?”
6 ULB ಅವನು <<ಈಕೆಯು ಮೋವಾಬ್ ಸೀಮೆಯಿಂದ ನವೊಮಿಯ ಸಂಗಡ ಬಂದ ಮೋವಾಬ್ ಸ್ತ್ರೀ.>> ಎಂದನು. BSB BSB: The foreman answered, “She is the Moabitess who returned with Naomi from the land of Moab.
7 ULB ಇವಳು ತೆನೆ <<ಕೊಯ್ಯುವವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಿವುಡುಗಳ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಕ್ಕಲಾಯ್ದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆ ನೀಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಕೇಳಿಕೊಂಡಳು. ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಬಂದವಳು ಇನ್ನೂ ಇಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಇದ್ದಾಳೆ. ಸದ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶ್ರಮಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಳೆ>> ಅಂದನು. BSB BSB: She has said, ‘Please let me glean and gather among the sheaves after the harvesters.’ So she came out and has continued from morning until now, except that she rested a short time in the shelter.”
8 ULB ಆಗ ಬೋವಜನು ರೂತಳಿಗೆ, <<ನನ್ನ ಮಗಳೇ, ಕೇಳು; ನನ್ನ ಹೊಲವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಬೇರೆಯವರ ಹೊಲಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಬೇಡ; ನನ್ನ ಹೆಣ್ಣಾಳುಗಳ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲೇ ಇರು. BSB BSB: Then Boaz said to Ruth, “Listen, my daughter. Do not go and glean in another field, and do not go away from this place, but stay here close to my servant girls.
9 ULB ನನ್ನ ಆಳುಗಳು ತೆನೆ ಕೊಯ್ಯುವುದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಯಾವ ಹೊಲಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾರೋ ಆ ಹೊಲಕ್ಕೆ ನೀನೂ ಹೋಗು. ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಯಾರೂ ಮುಟ್ಟಬಾರದೆಂದು ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರಿಗೆ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ನಿನಗೆ ಬಾಯಾರಿಕೆಯಾದರೆ ಹೋಗಿ ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರೇ ತುಂಬಿಸಿದ ನೀರಿನ ಪಾತ್ರೆಗಳಿಂದ ನೀರು ಕುಡಿಯಬಹುದು>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು. BSB BSB: Let your eyes be on the field they are harvesting, and follow along after these girls. Indeed, I have ordered the young men not to touch you. And when you are thirsty, go and drink from the jars the young men have filled.”
10 ULB ರೂತಳು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಸಾಷ್ಟಾಂಗನಮಸ್ಕಾರ ಮಾಡಿ <<ಪರದೇಶಿಯಾದ ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಇಷ್ಟು ಕಟಾಕ್ಷವಿಟ್ಟು ದಯೆ ತೋರಿಸಲು ಕಾರಣವೇನು?>> ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದಳು. BSB BSB: At this, she fell on her face, bowing low to the ground, and said to him, “Why have I found such favor in your eyes that you should take notice of me, even though I am a foreigner?”
11 ULB ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಬೋವಜನು, <<ನಿನ್ನ ಗಂಡನು ಮರಣ ಹೊಂದಿದ ದಿನದಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನ ಅತ್ತೆಗಾಗಿ ನೀನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೆಲ್ಲವೂ, ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿದಿದೆ. ಹಾಗೂ ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆತಾಯಿಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಸ್ವದೇಶವನ್ನೂ ಬಿಟ್ಟು, ನಿನಗೆ ಅರಿಯದ ಜನರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿರುವಿಯೆಂಬುದು ನನಗೆ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಗೊತ್ತಿದೆ. BSB BSB: Boaz replied, “I have been made fully aware of all you have done for your mother-in-law since the death of your husband, how you left your father and mother and the land of your birth, and how you came to a people you did not know before.
12 ULB ನೀನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯಕಾರ್ಯದ ಪ್ರತಿಫಲವಾಗಿ ಯೆಹೋವನು ನಿನಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಕೊಡಲಿ; ನೀನು ಯಾವ ದೇವರ ಕೃಪಾಶಿರ್ವಾದದ ಆಶ್ರಯ ಹೊಂದಲು ಬಂದಿರುವೆಯೋ ಆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನು ನಿನಗೆ ಉತ್ತಮವಾದ ಆಶ್ರಯವನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿಫಲವನ್ನು ಅನುಗ್ರಹಿಸಲಿ>> ಎಂದು ಉತ್ತರ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು. BSB BSB: May the LORD repay your work, and may you receive a rich reward from the LORD, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have taken refuge.”
13 ULB ಆಗ ಆಕೆಯು, <<ಸ್ವಾಮೀ, ತಾವು ದಾಸಿಯಾದ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಟಾಕ್ಷಿಸಿದ್ದೀರಿ; ನಾನು ತಮ್ಮ ದಾಸಿಯೆನಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೋಗ್ಯಳಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೂ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕನಿಕರಿಸಿ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಿಂದ ಮಾತನಾಡಿಸಿದಿರಿ>> ಅಂದಳು. BSB BSB: “My lord,” she said, “may I continue to find favor in your eyes, for you have comforted and spoken kindly to your maidservant, though I am not like one of your servant girls.”
14 ULB ಊಟದ ವೇಳೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬೋವಜನು <<ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಬಾ; ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಮುರಿದು ಹುಳಿರಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಅದ್ದಿ ತಿನ್ನು>> ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯಲು ಆಕೆಯು ಹೋಗಿ ತೆನೆ ಕೊಯ್ಯುವವರ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಂಡಳು. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವನು ಆಕೆಗೆ ಸುಟ್ಟ ತೆನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟನು. ಆಕೆಯು ತಿಂದು ತೃಪ್ತಳಾಗಿ ಇನ್ನೂ ಉಳಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಳು. BSB BSB: At mealtime Boaz said to her, “Come over here; have some bread and dip it into the vinegar sauce.” So she sat down beside the harvesters, and he offered her roasted grain, and she ate and was satisfied and had some left over.
15 ULB ತರುವಾಯ ತಿರುಗಿ ಹಕ್ಕಲಾಯುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಏಳಲು ಬೋವಜನು ತನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರಿಗೆ, <<ಈಕೆಯು ಸಿವುಡುಗಳ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಕ್ಕಲಾಯ್ದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿ, ಅಡ್ಡಿ ಮಾಡಬೇಡಿರಿ; BSB BSB: When Ruth got up to glean, Boaz ordered his young men, “Even if she gathers among the sheaves, do not insult her.
16 ULB ಸಿವುಡುಗಳಿಂದ ತೆನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕಿತ್ತುಹಾಕಿರಿ; ಈಕೆಯು ಕೂಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿ, ಗದರಿಸಬೇಡಿರಿ>> ಎಂದು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದನು. BSB BSB: Rather, pull out for her some stalks from the bundles and leave them for her to gather. Do not rebuke her.”
17 ULB ರೂತಳು ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲದ ವರೆಗೂ ಹಕ್ಕಲಾಯ್ದು ಕೂಡಿಸಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಬಡಿದಾಗ ಸುಮಾರು ಮೂವತ್ತು ಸೇರು ಜವೆಗೋದಿ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿತು. BSB BSB: So Ruth gathered grain in the field until evening. And when she beat out what she had gleaned, it was about an ephah of barley.
18 ULB ಆಕೆಯು ಅದನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತುಕೊಂಡು ಊರಿಗೆ ಬಂದು, ಆಕೆ ಹಕ್ಕಲಾಯ್ದದು ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದ್ದನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಅತ್ತೆಗೆ ತೋರಿಸಿದಳು. ತಾನು ಉಳಿಸಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದ ಸುಟ್ಟ ತೆನೆಯನ್ನು ರೂತಳು ತನ್ನ ಅತ್ತೆಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಳು. BSB BSB: She picked up the grain and went into the town, where her mother-in-law saw what she had gleaned. And she brought out what she had saved from her meal and gave it to Naomi.
19 ULB ಅತ್ತೆಯು <<ನೀನು ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ಯಾರ ಹೊಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಕ್ಕಲಾಯ್ದಿ? ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲಸಮಾಡಿದಿ? ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಟಾಕ್ಷಿಸಿದವನಿಗೆ ಶುಭವಾಗಲಿ>> ಎನ್ನಲು ರೂತಳು ನಾನು ಹಕ್ಕಲಾಯ್ದ ಹೊಲದ ಯಜಮಾನನ ಹೆಸರು, ಬೋವಜನೆಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದಳು. BSB BSB: Then her mother-in-law asked her, “Where did you glean today, and where did you work? Blessed be the man who noticed you.” So she told her mother-in-law where she had worked. “The name of the man I worked with today is Boaz,” she said.
20 ULB ಆಗ ನವೊಮಿಯು <<ಸತ್ತವರಿಗೂ, ಬದುಕುವವರಿಗೂ ಮಾಡಿದ ವಾಗ್ದಾನಗಳನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸುವ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಆತನನ್ನು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಲಿ>> ಎಂದು ಹರಸಿ, <<ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ನಮಗೆ ಹತ್ತಿರದ ನೆಂಟ, ಪೋಷಿಸಬೇಕಾದವನು>> ಎಂದು ರೂತಳಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದಳು. BSB BSB: Then Naomi said to her daughter-in-law, “May he be blessed by the LORD, who has not withdrawn His kindness from the living or the dead.” Naomi continued, “The man is a close relative. He is one of our kinsman-redeemers.”
21 ULB ಆಗ ಮೋವಾಬ್ಯಳಾದ ರೂತಳು <<ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ನನಗೆ, <ಸುಗ್ಗಿ ಮುಗಿಯುವವರೆಗೂ ನನ್ನ ಆಳುಗಳ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲೇ ಇರು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾನೆ>>> ಎಂದಳು. BSB BSB: Then Ruth the Moabitess said, “He also told me, ‘Stay with my young men until they have finished gathering all my harvest.’”
22 ULB ನವೊಮಿಯು ತನ್ನ ಸೊಸೆಯಾದ ರೂತಳಿಗೆ <<ನನ್ನ ಮಗಳೇ, ನೀನು ಅವನ ಹೆಣ್ಣಾಳುಗಳ ಸಂಗಡಲೇ ಹೊರಟುಹೋಗುವುದು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದು; ಬೇರೆ ಹೊಲದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನಗೆ ತೊಂದರೆಯಾದೀತು>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದಳು. BSB BSB: And Naomi said to her daughter-in-law Ruth, “My daughter, it is good for you to work with his young women, so that nothing will happen to you in another field.”
