Paul ac Silas fahsr sasla Amphipolis ac Apollonia ac tuku nu Thessalonica, yen ma oasr iwen lolngok se we.When they had passed through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica, where there was a Jewish synagogue.

In oana ke el oru pacl nukewa uh, Paul el som nu in iwen lolngok. Ac ke len Sabbath tolu el sramsram nu sin mwet uh, ac rit ke kas in Ma Simusla,As was his custom, Paul went into the synagogue, and on three Sabbaths he reasoned with them from the Scriptures,

Paul el fahk, “Jesus se ma nga fahkak nu suwos kac inge, el pa Christ.”explaining and proving that the Christ had to suffer and rise from the dead. “This Jesus I am proclaiming to you is the Christ,” he declared.

Kutu selos lulalfongi ac welulang Paul ac Silas; oayapa kutu mutan ma eteyuk fin acn we, ac pus pac mwet Greek su alu nu sin God.Some of the Jews were persuaded and joined Paul and Silas, along with a large number of God-fearing Greeks and quite a few leading women.

Tusruktu mwet Jew elos sok selos, ac orani kutu mwet lusrongten ma forfor wel inkanek uh, ac orala sie u in orek lokoalok. U se inge akfohsyauk mwet in siti uh nufon, ac utyak nu in lohm sel Jason, in sokol Paul ac Silas ac usaltal uh nu yurin mwet uh.The Jews, however, became jealous. So they brought in some troublemakers from the marketplace, formed a mob, and sent the city into an uproar. They raided Jason’s house in search of Paul and Silas, hoping to bring them out to the people.

Tusruktu ke elos tia konaltalak, elos amakunulma Jason ac kutu pac mwet lulalfongi nu ye mutun mwet fulat in siti uh, ac wowoyak ac fahk, “Mwet inge orek fohs yen nukewa! Ac inge elos tuku pac nu in siti sesr uh,But when they could not find them, they dragged Jason and some other brothers before the city officials, shouting, “These men who have turned the world upside down have now come here,

ac Jason el solaltalak nu in lohm sel ah. Elos nukewa kunaus ma sap lal Tokosra Fulat, ac fahk mu oasr pac siena tokosra saya, suh inel pa Jesus.”and Jason has welcomed them into his home. They are all defying Caesar’s decrees, saying that there is another king, named Jesus!”

Ke un mwet uh, oayapa mwet fulat lun siti uh lohng kas inge, elos arulana wonak kac.On hearing this, the crowd and city officials were greatly disturbed.

Mwet fulat lun siti uh sap tuh Jason ac mwet lulalfongi wial uh in moli lupan mani ma oakwuki in aksukosokyalos, na filfilla elos. And they collected bond from Jason and the others and then released them.

Ke tufahna fongeni, mwet lulalfongi elos supwalla Paul ac Silas nu Berea. Ke eltal sun acn we eltal som nu ke iwen lolngok lun mwet Jew uh.As soon as night had fallen, the brothers sent Paul and Silas away to Berea. On arriving there, they went into the Jewish synagogue.

Mwet in acn sac elos engan liki mwet Thessalonica in eis mwe lutlut. Elos arulana oaru in lohng kas ma srumunyuk uh, ac elos lutlut len nukewa ke Ma Simusla uh in liye lah pwayena ma Paul el srumun uh.Now the Bereans were more noble-minded than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if these teachings were true.

Mwet puspis selos lulalfongi, ac pus mutan kacto sin mwet Greek, oayapa mukul Greek puspis elos lulalfongi pac.As a result, many of them believed, along with quite a few prominent Greek women and men.

Tusruktu ke mwet Jew in acn Thessalonica lohngak lah Paul el fahkak kas lun God in acn Berea, elos tuku nu we ac mutawauk in pirik ac akfohsyauk nunak lun mwet puspis. But when the Jews from Thessalonica learned that Paul was also proclaiming the word of God in Berea, they went there themselves to incite and agitate the crowds.

In pacl sacna, mwet lulalfongi elos supwalla Paul nu ke sie acn wekof uh; a Silas ac Timothy eltal mutana Berea. The brothers immediately sent Paul to the coast, but Silas and Timothy remained in Berea.

Mwet ma usal Paul ah welul na kalla nwe Athens, na elos folokla nu Berea, us sap soko sel Paul nu sel Silas ac Timothy, eltal in tuh sa na som nu yorol. Those who escorted Paul brought him to Athens and then returned with instructions for Silas and Timothy to join him as soon as possible.

Ke Paul el tuh muta soanel Silas ac Timothy in acn Athens, el arulana toasrla ke el liye lah puslana ma sruloala in acn we.While Paul was waiting for them in Athens, he was deeply disturbed in his spirit to see that the city was full of idols.

Ac len nukewa el sramsram yurin kutena mwet ma tuku nu in acn in tukeni in siti uh.So he reasoned in the synagogue with the Jews and God-fearing Gentiles, and in the marketplace with those he met each day.

Oasr pac kutu mwet luti ke u se pangpang mwet Epicurus ac mwet Stoic elos wi pac alein nu sel. Kutu selos siyuk mu, “Mea mwet filanginkas se inge fahk uh?” Ac kutu mwet uh topuk, “El luman kaskas ke kutu god lun mutanfahl saya.” Elos fahk ouinge mweyen Paul el luti ke Jesus oayapa ke sifil moulyak uh.Some Epicurean and Stoic philosophers also began to debate with him. Some of them asked, “What is this babbler trying to say?” Others said, “He seems to be advocating foreign gods.” They said this because Paul was proclaiming the good news of Jesus and the resurrection.

Ouinge elos usalla Paul nu yurin un mwet pwapa fulat lun siti uh, su pangpang Areopagus, ac fahk, “Kut ke etu lah mea kalmen luti sasu se kom sramsramkin inge.So they took Paul and brought him to the Areopagus, where they asked him, “May we know what this new teaching is that you are presenting?

Kutu ma kut lohng kom fahk uh luman sakirik sesr in lohng, ac kut ke etu lah mea kalmac.” (For you are bringing some strange notions to our ears, and we want to know what they mean.”

Mweyen mwet Athens nukewa, ac mwetsac su muta we, lungse sisla pacl lalos in sramsramkin ac lohng ke kutena pweng sasu.)Now all the Athenians and foreigners who lived there spent their time doing nothing more than hearing and articulating new ideas.

Paul el tuyak ye mutun mwet pwapa fulat lun siti uh ac fahk, “Nga liye lah in ouiya nukewa kowos mwet Athens uh arulana akfulatye alu. Then Paul stood up in the meeting of the Areopagus and said, “Men of Athens, I see that in every way you are very religious.

Mweyen ke nga forfor in siti lowos uh ac liye acn kowos alu we, nga konauk sie loang su simla kac, ‘Nu sin Sie God su Tia Eteyuk.’ Ma se ma kowos alu nu kac ingan kowos finne tia akilen, pa nga ac fahkak nu suwos. For as I walked around and examined your objects of worship, I even found an altar with this inscription: TO AN UNKNOWN GOD. Therefore what you worship as something unknown, I now proclaim to you.

God su orala faclu ac ma nukewa loac uh, El Leum lun kusrao ac faclu, ac El tia muta in tempul ma orekla ke poun mwet. The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples made by human hands.

El sifacna oakiya meet lusen pacl ac lupan acn elos in muta we.From one man He made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and He determined their appointed times and the boundaries of their lands.

El oru ma inge nukewa tuh mwet uh in sokol, ac elos in mau ku in konalak ke elos kahlimunul. Tusruktu pwayeiya uh, God El tiana muta loes liki kutena sesr,God intended that they would seek Him and perhaps reach out for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us.

oana ke sie mwet tuh fahk, ‘In El kut moul, kut mukuikui, ac kut oasr.’ Oana ke kutu mwet kuhn on lowos uh fahk, ‘Kut pac, kut tulik natul.’‘For in Him we live and move and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are His offspring.’

Na ke kut tulik nutin God uh, wo kut in tia nunku mu ouiya lal uh ku in lumahyuk ke gold, ku silver, ku eot, ma tafleyukla in luman ma sruloala ke lalmwetmet ac usrnguk lun mwet. Therefore, being offspring of God, we should not think that the Divine Being is like gold or silver or stone, an image formed by man’s skill and imagination.

God El tuh nunak munas nu sin mwet ke nikin lalos in pacl meet, a inge El sap nu selos nukewa yen nukewa in forla liki ouiya koluk lalos.Although God overlooked the ignorance of earlier times, He now commands all people everywhere to repent.

Tuh El oakiya tari sie len ma El ac nununku faclu nufon ke nununku suwohs, ke sie mwet su El sulela tari. El akpwayei ma se inge nu sin mwet nukewa ke El akmoulyauk mwet se inge liki misa!”For He has set a day when He will judge the world with justice by the Man He has appointed. He has given proof of this to everyone by raising Him from the dead.”

Ke elos lohng lah Paul el kaskaskin akmoulyauk sie mwet liki misa, kutu selos aksruksrukel, a kutu mwet uh fahk, “Kut ke lohng kom in sifil srumun ke ma se inge ke sie pac pacl.”When they heard about the resurrection of the dead, some began to mock him, but others said, “We want to hear you again on this topic.”

Na Paul el illa liki tukeni sac.At that, Paul left the Areopagus.

Kutu mwet uh welulang in lulalfongi, ac sie selos inge pa Dionysius, sie sin un mwet pwapa fulat, ac oasr pac mutan se pangpang Damaris, ac kutu pac mwet saya. But some joined him and believed, including Dionysius the Areopagite, a woman named Damaris, and others who were with them.
