6Mani ļaudis top izdeldēti, tādēļ ka tie bez atzīšanas. Jo kā tu atzīšanu esi atmetis, tad arī Es tevi atmetīšu, ka tev Man nebūs būt par priesteri. Un tāpēc ka tu esi aizmirsis sava Dieva bauslību, tad arī Es aizmirsīšu tavus bērnus.My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you as My priests. Since you have forgotten the law of your God, I will also forget your children.

7Cik daudz viņi bijuši, tik tie pret Mani apgrēkojušies. Es viņu godu pārvērtīšu par kaunu.The more they multiplied, the more they sinned against Me; they exchanged their Glory for a thing of disgrace.

8Tie ēd Manu ļaužu grēku upurus un ilgojās ikviens savā dvēselē pēc viņu noziegumiem.They feed on the sins of My people and set their hearts on iniquity.

9Tādēļ priesteris būs tāpat kā tie ļaudis, un Es pie viņa piemeklēšu viņu ceļus un viņam atmaksāšu viņu darbus.And it shall be like people, like priest. I will punish both of them for their ways and repay them for their deeds.

10Un tie ēdīs, bet nepaēdīs, tie maukos, bet nevairosies, tādēļ ka tie To Kungu atstājuši un viņu nav cienījuši.They will eat but not be satisfied; they will be promiscuous but not multiply. For they have abandoned the LORD to give themselves

For a spirit of prostitution leads them astray and they have played the harlot against their God.

14Es nepiemeklēšu jūsu meitas, ka tās dzen maucību, nedz jūsu brūtes, ka tās pārkāpj laulību, jo tie paši iet savrup ar maukām un upurē ar nešķīstām, tādēļ tie neprātīgie ļaudis ies postā.I will not punish your daughters when they prostitute themselves, nor your daughters-in-law when they commit adultery. For the men themselves go off with prostitutes and offer sacrifices with shrine prostitutes. So a people without understanding will come to ruin.

15Ja tu, Israēl, gribi maukot, tad lai Jūda nenoziedzās arīdzan. Nenāciet uz Gilgalu un neejat augšām uz BetAvenu, un nezvērējiet: tik tiešām kā Tas Kungs dzīvo.Though you prostitute yourself, O Israel, may Judah avoid such guilt! Do not journey to Gilgal, do not go up to Beth-aven, and do not swear on oath, ‘As surely as the LORD lives!’

16Ja Israēls ir trakgalvīgs kā trakgalvīga govs, tad arī Tas Kungs tos ganīs kā jērus plašā zemē.For Israel is as obstinate as a stubborn heifer. Can the LORD now shepherd them like lambs in an open meadow?
