PBL Dasuko asi uyang na akan ali bebujur karunia-karunia rohani, utama ye dian ko tau bernubuat. BSB BSB: Earnestly pursue love and eagerly desire spiritual gifts, especially the gift of prophecy.
PBL Sebab, dase ye bepaner suang bahsa lola, sa bepaner ntong meresia, tapi ntong Allah; leka beloh naan ulun ye paham, tapi da ngulek hal-hal ye rahasia suang roh. BSB BSB: For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men, but to God. Indeed, no one understands him; he utters mysteries in the Spirit.
PBL Namun, ulun ye bernubuat bepaner ntong meresia dian nemuet, nasihat, ali penghiburan. BSB BSB: But he who prophesies speaks to men for their edification, encouragement, and comfort.
PBL Kawan ulun ye bepaner suang bahasa lola nemuet unuk da lei, tapi ulun ye bernubuat nemuet jemaat. BSB BSB: The one who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but the one who prophesies edifies the church.
PBL Ap beharap kawus kam bepaner suang bahasa-bahasa lola, tapi ye lewi li dion ko bernubuat. Ulun ye bernubuat lewi solai ke pada ulun ye bepaner suang bahasa lola, kecuali amun da ade mengartikan ye sehingga jemaat tau nerima peneguhan. BSB BSB: I wish that all of you could speak in tongues, but I would rather have you prophesy. He who prophesies is greater than one who speaks in tongues, unless he interprets so that the church may be edified.
PBL Kawan aben, amun ap sulet ntong ko ali bepaner suang bahasa-bahasa roh, se untung ye di engko, kecuali amun ap bepaner ntong ko ali penyataan, pengentoan, nubuat atawa pengajaran? BSB BSB: Now, brothers, if I come to you speaking in tongues, how will I benefit you, unless I bring you some revelation or knowledge or prophecy or teaching?
PBL Bahkan, banda-banda ye beloh benyawa nget sulin atawa kecapi ye pelosek engan, amun sa pelosek perbedaan suang engan ye, nget me ulun tau ketoan alat me ye desung na mainkan, suling atawa kecapi? BSB BSB: Even in the case of lifeless instruments, such as the flute or harp, how will anyone recognize the tune they are playing unless the notes are distinct?
PBL Atawa, amun terompet pelosek engan ye sa jelas, dasekah ye sagar mempersiapkan unuk dian berperang? BSB BSB: Again, if the trumpet sounds a muffled call, who will prepare for battle?
BSB BSB: So it is with you. Unless you speak intelligible words with your tongue, how will anyone know what you are saying? You will just be speaking into the air.
BSB BSB: Assuredly, there are many different languages in the world, yet none of them is without meaning.
PBL Namun, amun ap sa ketoan arti bahasa iro, ap sagar jaji ulun asing di na ye bepaner, ali ulun ye bepaner iro jaji ulun asing di nap. BSB BSB: If, then, I do not know the meaning of someone’s language, I am a foreigner to the speaker, and he is a foreigner to me.
PBL Nget ro ade ko, leka ko bebujur beusaha dian karunia-karunia rohani, beusaha lei dian berkelimpahan dian nemuet jemaat. BSB BSB: It is the same with you. Since you are eager to have spiritual gifts, strive to excel in gifts that build up the church.
PBL Leka iro, buen ye ulun ye bepaner suang bahasa lola bedoa dian da tau mengartikan ye. BSB BSB: Therefore, the one who speaks in a tongue should pray that he may interpret.
PBL Sebab, amun ap berdoa suang bahsa lola, roh ap bedoa, tapi pikiran ap sa berbuah. BSB BSB: For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful.
PBL Jaji, se kah ye harus na ene ap? Ap sagar bedoa ali roh ap uyang ap ade sagar bedoa ali pikiran ap. Ap sagar menyanyi ali roh ap uyang ap ade sagar menyanyi ali pikiran ap. BSB BSB: What then shall I do? I will pray with my spirit, but I will also pray with my mind. I will sing with my spirit, but I will also sing with my mind.
BSB BSB: Otherwise, if you speak a blessing in spirit, how can someone who is uninstructed say “Amen” to your thanksgiving, since he does not know what you are saying?
BSB BSB: You may be giving thanks well enough, but the other one is not edified.
PBL Ap besyukur ntong Allah bahwa ap bepaner suang bahasa-bahasa lola lewi ke kawus kam. BSB BSB: I thank God that I speak in tongues more than all of you.
PBL Namun, suang jemaat, ap ware bepaner lime kata ali pikiran ap dion ap tau ade ngajar ulun bali, ke pada sepuluh ribu kata suang bahsa lola. BSB BSB: But in the church, I would rather speak five coherent words to instruct others than ten thousand words in a tongue.
PBL Kawan aben, iya jaji kawan tia suang pemikiran ko. Jaji lei kawan rikok suang kejahatan, tapi suang pemikiran ko jajilah dewasa! BSB BSB: Brothers, stop thinking like children. In regard to evil be infants, but in your thinking be mature.
PBL Nget tetulis suang Hukum Taurat, "Ene kawan ulun ye naan bahasa asing ali ene bowa kawan ulun asing, Ap sagar bepaner ntong bahasa ihe, tapi dali sa sagar ngeringa Ap, firman Tuhan." Yesaya 28:11-12 BSB BSB: It is written in the Law: “By strange tongues and foreign lips I will speak to this people, but even then they will not listen to Me, says the Lord.”
PBL Jaji bahasa-bahasa lola ro tanda, baa dian ulun ye harap, tapi dian ulun ye sa harap, sedangkan bernubuat ro tanda, baa dian ulun ye sa harap, tapi dian ulun ye harap. BSB BSB: Tongues, then, are a sign, not for believers, but for unbelievers. Prophecy, however, is for believers, not for unbelievers.
PBL Amun kawus jemaat bekumpul sendro suang runa, uyang kawus ye bepaner ali bahasa-bahasa lola, belalu naan ulun ye sa paham atawa kawan ulun ye sa harap moo, sa kah dali sagar ngulek bahwa ko apu gila? BSB BSB: So if the whole church comes together and everyone speaks in tongues, and some who are uninstructed or some unbelievers come in, will they not say that you are out of your minds?
BSB BSB: But if an unbeliever or uninstructed person comes in while everyone is prophesying, he will be convicted and called to account by all,
PBL Rahasia suang aseng da sagar nyata, da sagar lotu, ali nyamah Allah, mengakui bahwa sebujue ye Allah naan tei antara ko. BSB BSB: and the secrets of his heart will be made known. So he will fall facedown and worship God, proclaiming, “God is truly among you!”
PBL Jaji, selanjut ye nget me, kawan aben? BSB BSB: What then shall we say, brothers? When you come together, everyone has a psalm or a teaching, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation. All of these must be done to build up the church.
PBL Amun naan ye berbahasa lola, dion ko je due atawa paling deo tolu ulun, ali asing-asinh secara bergantian, ali harus naan ulun bali ye mengartikan ye. BSB BSB: If anyone speaks in a tongue, two, or at most three, should speak in turn, and someone must interpret.
BSB BSB: But if there is no interpreter, he should remain silent in the church and speak only to himself and God.
PBL Dion je due atawa tolu nabi ye bepaner ali ye bali mempertimbangkan ye. BSB BSB: Two or three prophets should speak, and the others should weigh carefully what is said.
PBL Namun, amun penyataan ye na ene dian ulun bali ye tuet tei biro, ulun ye pertama harus nteng. BSB BSB: And if a revelation comes to someone who is seated, the first speaker should stop.
PBL Sebab, kawus ko tau bernubuat erai pengerai, dian kawus ye tau belajar ali kawus ye tau na kuatkan. BSB BSB: For you can all prophesy in turn so that everyone may be instructed and encouraged.
PBL Roh-roh kawan nabi tunduk ntong kawan nabi. BSB BSB: The spirits of prophets are subject to prophets.
PBL Sebab, Allah baa Allah ke kekacauan, melainkan damai sejahtera, sameh nget suang kawus jemaat kawan ulun kudus. BSB BSB: For God is not a God of disorder, but of peace—as in all the churches of the saints.
PBL Amun naan sesuatu ye kakan na pelajari ene dali, dion ko dali nyituk ntong bane ye tei belai leka iro hal ye moko mangen di bawe dian bepaner suang jemaat. BSB BSB: If they wish to inquire about something, they are to ask their own husbands at home; for it is dishonorable for a woman to speak in the church.
PBL Se kah Firman Allah asal ye ke ko? BSB BSB: Did the word of God originate with you? Or are you the only ones it has reached?
PBL Amun naan ye bepikir bahwa da ro erai ke ulun nabi atauwa ulun ye rohani, dian ko da ketaru bahwa hal-hal ye na tulis ene ap ntong ko ye iro perintah Tuhan. BSB BSB: If anyone considers himself a prophet or spiritual person, let him acknowledge that what I am writing you is the Lord’s command.
BSB BSB: But if anyone ignores this, he himself will be ignored.
PBL Jaji, kawan aben ap, usahakan lei ali bebujur dian bernubuat ali iya ngelamen ulun bepaner suang bahsa-bahasa lola. BSB BSB: So, my brothers, be eager to prophesy, and do not forbid speaking in tongues.
BSB BSB: But everything must be done in a proper and orderly manner.
