1. 1LYNKame tumi n̄olela eyi no liywii no moyo, esi si na kwikalako ku simuluho, esi tu na ku yupa, esi tu na mono ni miyo etu, mi natu kusi mona eso tuna leme ni maoko etu.BSBBSB: That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our own eyes, which we have gazed upon and touched with our own hands—this is the Word of life.

3. 3LYNEsi tu na mono nesi tu na yupu so kame eso tu myambela, mi cwale naanyi muku wane naaci. Mi okuwana kwetu ni Sitetu kame tuli ni ku mwanaye Jesu Kilesite.BSBBSB: We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And this fellowship of ours is with the Father and with His Son, Jesus Christ.
4. 4LYNMi kame tun̄ola etaba eyo nji etabo yetu ipetahale.BSBBSB: We write these things so that our joy may be complete.
5. 5LYNEli eling'usa tuna yupu kwa Mwanaye, eli tu myambela, ninji Nyambe yo liseli, mi ka kwisa ouwii kwa yonyene simba mbicani.BSBBSB: And this is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you: God is light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.
6. 6LYNMi cwale aba twamba nji kame tuli bamweya ni yonyene, mi abo kame tweenda mu uwi, abo kame toonga mi ka tutende eniti mu maywi mane neyo tutenda.BSBBSB: If we say we have fellowship with Him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.
7. 7LYNKono aba tweenda mu liseli, kanyi yonyene aba ali mu liseli, kame tuku wana bamweya, mi ounyinga wa Mwanaye Jesu kame u tu yowisa eibi yonje.BSBBSB: But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.
8. 8LYNAba twamba nji katu kwite esibi, kame tu koonga, mi eniti ka isako mwaaci.BSBBSB: If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9. 9LYNAba tu kwamba eibi yetu, yonyene niwa kusepahala mi niwaluka mbatulemene eibi yetu ni kutukenisa ku ouyi wetu wonje.BSBBSB: If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10. 10LYNAba twamba nji katusitenda esibi, kame twamba nji Nyambe niwa mapwa mi eliywi lyaye kalisamo mwaaci.BSBBSB: If we say we have not sinned, we make Him out to be a liar, and His word is not in us.
