Acts 11 (MAL10)

1ജാതികളും ദൈവവചനം കൈക്കൊണ്ടു എന്നു അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാരും യെഹൂദ്യയിലുള്ള സഹോദരന്മാരും കേട്ടു.The apostles and brothers throughout Judea soon heard that the Gentiles also had received the word of God.

2പത്രൊസ് യെരൂശലേമിൽ എത്തിയപ്പോൾ പരിച്ഛേദനക്കാർ അവനോടു വാദിച്ചു:So when Peter went up to Jerusalem, the circumcised believers took issue with him

3നീ അഗ്രചർമ്മികളുടെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു അവരോടുകൂടെ ഭക്ഷിച്ചു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.and said, “You visited uncircumcised men and ate with them.”

4പത്രൊസ് കാര്യം ആദിമുതൽ ക്രമമായി അവരോടു വിവരിച്ചുപറഞ്ഞതു:But Peter began and explained to them the whole sequence of events:

5ഞാൻ യോപ്പാപട്ടണത്തിൽ പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ വിവശതയിൽ ഒരുദർശനം കണ്ടു: ആകാശത്തിൽനിന്നു നാലു കോണും കെട്ടി ഇറക്കിയ വലിയ തുപ്പട്ടിപോലെ ഒരു പാത്രം എന്റെ അടുക്കലോളം വന്നു.“I was in the city of Joppa praying, and in a trance I saw a vision of something like a large sheet being let down from heaven by its four corners, and it came right down to me.

6അതിൽ ഞാൻ സൂക്ഷിച്ചുനോക്കിയപ്പോൾ ഭൂമിയിലെ നാൽക്കാലികളെയും കാട്ടുമൃഗങ്ങളെയും ഇഴജാതികളെയും ആകാശത്തിലെ പറവകളെയും കണ്ടു:I looked at it closely and saw four-footed animals of the earth, wild beasts, reptiles, and birds of the air.

7പത്രൊസേ, എഴുന്നേറ്റു അറുത്തു തിന്നുക എന്നു എന്നോടു പറയുന്നോരു ശബ്ദവും കേട്ടു.Then I heard a voice saying to me, ‘Get up, Peter, kill and eat.’

8അതിന്നു ഞാൻ: ഒരിക്കലും പാടില്ല, കർത്താവേ; മലിനമോ അശുദ്ധമോ ആയതൊന്നും ഒരിക്കലും എന്റെ വായിൽ ചെന്നിട്ടില്ലല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.‘No, Lord,’ I said, ‘for nothing impure or unclean has ever entered my mouth.’

9ആ ശബ്ദം പിന്നെയും ആകാശത്തിൽ നിന്നു: ദൈവം ശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചതു നീ മലിനം എന്നു വിചാരിക്കരുതു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.But the voice spoke from heaven a second time, ‘Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.’

10ഇതു മൂന്നു പ്രാവശ്യം ഉണ്ടായി; പിന്നെ എല്ലാം തിരികെ ആകാശത്തിലേക്കു വലിച്ചെടുത്തു.This happened three times, and everything was drawn back up into heaven.

11അപ്പോൾ തന്നേ കൈസര്യയിൽ നിന്നു എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ അയച്ചിരുന്ന മൂന്നു പുരുഷന്മാർ ഞങ്ങൾ പാർത്ത വീട്ടിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ നിന്നിരുന്നു;Just then three men sent to me from Caesarea stopped at the house where I was staying.

12ഒന്നും സംശയിക്കാതെ അവരോടുകൂടെ പോകുവാൻ ആത്മാവു എന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചു. ഈ ആറു സഹോദരന്മാരും എന്നോടുകൂടെ പോന്നു; ഞങ്ങൾ ആ പുരുഷന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ ചെന്നു.The Spirit told me to accompany them without hesitation. These six brothers also went with me, and we entered the man’s home.

13അവൻ തന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ ഒരു ദൂതൻ നില്ക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു എന്നും നീ യോപ്പയിലേക്കു ആളയച്ചു പത്രൊസ് എന്നു മറുപേരുള്ള ശിമോനെ വരുത്തുക;He told us how he had seen an angel standing in his house and saying, ‘Send to Joppa for Simon who is called Peter.

14നീയും നിന്റെ ഗൃഹം മുഴുവനും രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടുവാനുള്ള വാക്കുകളെ അവൻ നിന്നോടു സംസാരിക്കും എന്നു ദൂതൻ പറഞ്ഞു എന്നും ഞങ്ങളോടു അറിയിച്ചു.He will convey to you a message by which you and all your household will be saved.’

15ഞാൻ സംസാരിച്ചു തുടങ്ങിയപ്പോഴേക്കു പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവു ആദിയിൽ നമ്മുടെമേൽ എന്നപോലെ അവരുടെ മേലും വന്നു.As I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell upon them, just as He had fallen upon us at the beginning.

16അപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ: യോഹന്നാൻ വെള്ളംകൊണ്ടു സ്നാനം കഴിപ്പിച്ചു; നിങ്ങൾക്കോ പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവുകൊണ്ടു സ്നാനം ലഭിക്കും എന്നു കർത്താവു പറഞ്ഞ വാക്കു ഓർത്തു.Then I remembered the word of the Lord, how He said, ‘John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’

17ആകയാൽ കർത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിൽ വിശ്വസിച്ചവരായ നമുക്കു തന്നതുപോലെ അതേ ദാനത്തെ അവർക്കും ദൈവം കൊടുത്തു എങ്കിൽ ദൈവത്തെ തടുപ്പാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം ഞാൻ ആർ?So if God gave them the same gift He gave us who believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I to hinder the work of God?”

18അവർ ഇതു കേട്ടപ്പോൾ മിണ്ടാതിരുന്നു: അങ്ങനെ ആയാൽ ദൈവം ജാതികൾക്കും ജീവപ്രാപ്തിക്കായി മാനസാന്തരം നല്കിയല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു ദൈവത്തെ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തി.When they heard this, they had no further objections, and they glorified God, saying, “So then, God has granted even the Gentiles repentance unto life.”

19സ്തെഫാനൊസ് നിമിത്തം ഉണ്ടായ ഉപദ്രവം ഹേതുവാൽ ചിതറിപ്പോയവർ യെഹൂദന്മാരോടല്ലാതെ മറ്റാരോടും വചനം സംസാരിക്കാതെ ഫൊയ്നിക്യാ, കുപ്രൊസ്, അന്ത്യൊക്ക്യ എന്നീ പ്രദേശങ്ങളോളം സഞ്ചരിച്ചു.Meanwhile those scattered by the persecution that began with Stephen traveled as far as Phoenicia, Cyprus, and Antioch, speaking the message only to Jews.

20അവരിൽ ചിലർ കുപ്രൊസ്കാരും കുറേനക്കാരും ആയിരുന്നു; അവർ അന്ത്യൊക്ക്യയിൽ എത്തിയശേഷം യവനന്മാരോടും കർത്താവായ യേശുവിനെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള സുവിശേഷം അറിയിച്ചു.But some of them, men from Cyprus and Cyrene, went to Antioch and began speaking to the Greeks as well, proclaiming the good news about the Lord Jesus.

21കർത്താവിന്റെ കൈ അവരോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; വലിയൊരു കൂട്ടം വിശ്വസിച്ചു കർത്താവിങ്കലേക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞു.The hand of the Lord was with them, and a great number of people believed and turned to the Lord.

22അവരെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള ഈ വർത്തമാനം യെരൂശലേമിലെ സഭയുടെ ചെവിയിൽ എത്തിയപ്പോൾ അവർ ബർന്നബാസിനെ അന്ത്യൊക്ക്യയോളം പറഞ്ഞയച്ചു.When news of this reached the ears of the church in Jerusalem, they sent Barnabas to Antioch.

23അവൻ ചെന്നു ദൈവകൃപ കണ്ടു സന്തോഷിച്ചു. എല്ലാവരും ഹൃദയനിർണ്ണയത്തോടെ കർത്താവിനോടു ചേർന്നുനില്പാന്തക്കവണ്ണം പ്രബോധിപ്പിച്ചു.When he arrived and saw the grace of God, he rejoiced and encouraged them all to abide in the Lord with all their hearts.

24അവൻ നല്ല മനുഷ്യനും പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവിനാലും വിശ്വാസത്താലും നിറഞ്ഞവനും ആയിരുന്നു; വളരെ പുരുഷന്മാരും കർത്താവിനോടു ചേർന്നു.Barnabas was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and faith, and a great number of people were brought to the Lord.

25അവൻ ശൗലിനെ തിരവാൻ തർസൊസിലേക്കു പോയി, അവനെ കണ്ടെത്തിയാറെ അന്ത്യൊക്ക്യയിലേക്കു കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.Then Barnabas went to Tarsus to look for Saul,

26അവർ ഒരു സംവത്സരം മുഴുവനും സഭായോഗങ്ങളിൽ കൂടുകയും ബഹുജനത്തെ ഉപദേശിക്കയും ചെയ്തു; ആദ്യം അന്ത്യൊക്ക്യയിൽവെച്ചു ശിഷ്യന്മാർക്കു ക്രിസ്ത്യാനികൾ എന്നു പേർ ഉണ്ടായി.and when he found him, he brought him back to Antioch. So for a full year they met together with the church and taught large numbers of people. The disciples were first called Christians at Antioch.

27ആ കാലത്തു യെരൂശലേമിൽ നിന്നു പ്രവാചകന്മാർ അന്ത്യൊക്ക്യയിലേക്കു വന്നു.In those days some prophets came down from Jerusalem to Antioch.

28അവരിൽ അഗബൊസ് എന്നു പേരുള്ളൊരുവൻ എഴുന്നേറ്റു ലോകത്തിൽ ഒക്കെയും മഹാക്ഷാമം ഉണ്ടാകും എന്നു ആത്മാവിനാൽ പ്രവചിച്ചു; അതു ക്ലൗദ്യൊസിന്റെ കാലത്തു സംഭവിച്ചു.One of them named Agabus stood up and predicted through the Spirit that a great famine would sweep across the whole world. (This happened under Claudius.)

29അപ്പോൾ യെഹൂദ്യയിൽ പാർക്കുന്ന സഹോദരന്മാരുടെ ഉതവിക്കായി ശിഷ്യന്മാരിൽ ഓരോരുത്തൻ പ്രാപ്തിപോലെ കൊടുത്തയപ്പാൻ നിശ്ചയിച്ചു.So the disciples, each according to his ability, decided to send relief to the brothers living in Judea.

30അവർ അതു നടത്തി, ബർന്നബാസിന്റെയും ശൗലിന്റെയും കയ്യിൽ മൂപ്പന്മാർക്കു കൊടുത്തയച്ചു.This they did, sending their gifts to the elders with Barnabas and Saul.
