Acts 13 (MAL10)

6അവർ ദ്വീപിൽകൂടി പാഫൊസ് വരെ ചെന്നപ്പോൾ ബർയേശു എന്നു പേരുള്ള യെഹൂദനായി കള്ള പ്രവാചകനായോരു വിദ്വാനെ കണ്ടു.They traveled through the whole island as far as Paphos, where they found a Jewish sorcerer and false prophet named Bar-Jesus,

7അവൻ ബുദ്ധിമാനായ സെർഗ്ഗ്യൊസ് പൗലൊസ് എന്ന ദേശാധിപതിയോടു കൂടെ ആയിരുന്നു; അവൻ ബർന്നബാസിനെയും ശൗലിനെയും വരുത്തി ദൈവവചനം കേൾപ്പാൻ ആഗ്രഹിച്ചു.an attendant of the proconsul, Sergius Paulus. The proconsul, a man of intelligence, summoned Barnabas and Saul because he wanted to hear the word of God.

8എന്നാൽ എലീമാസ് എന്ന വിദ്വാൻ - ഇതാകുന്നു അവന്റെ പേരിന്റെ അർത്ഥം - അവരോടു എതിർത്തുനിന്നു ദേശാധിപതിയുടെ വിശ്വാസം തടുത്തുകളവാൻ ശ്രമിച്ചു.But Elymas the sorcerer (for that is what his name means) opposed them and tried to turn the proconsul from the faith.

Will you never stop perverting the straight ways of the Lord?

He made them into a great people during their stay in Egypt, and with an uplifted arm He led them out of that land.

23അവന്റെ സന്തതിയിൽനിന്നു ദൈവം വാഗ്ദത്തം ചെയ്തതുപോലെ യിസ്രായേലിന്നു യേശു എന്ന രക്ഷിതാവിനെ കൊടുത്തു.From the descendants of this man, God has brought to Israel the Savior Jesus, as He promised.

24അവന്റെ വരവിന്നു മുമ്പെ യോഹന്നാൻ യിസ്രായേൽജനത്തിന്നു ഒക്കെയും മാനസാന്തരത്തിന്റെ സ്നാനം പ്രസംഗിച്ചു.Before the arrival of Jesus, John preached a baptism of repentance to all the people of Israel.

25യോഹന്നാൻ ജീവകാലം തികവാറായപ്പോൾ: നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ ആർ എന്നു നിരൂപിക്കുന്നു? ഞാൻ മശീഹയല്ല; അവൻ എന്റെ പിന്നാലെ വരുന്നു; അവന്റെ കാലിലെ ചെരിപ്പു അഴിപ്പാൻ ഞാൻ യോഗ്യനല്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.As John was completing his course, he said, ‘Who do you suppose I am? I am not that One. But there is One coming after me whose sandals I am not worthy to untie.’

26സഹോദരന്മാരേ, അബ്രാഹാംവംശത്തിലെ മക്കളും അവരോടു ചേർന്ന ദൈവഭക്തന്മാരുമായുള്ളാരേ, നമുക്കാകുന്നു ഈ രക്ഷാവചനം അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതു.Brothers, children of Abraham, and you Gentiles who fear God, it is to us that this message of salvation has been sent.

27യെരൂശലേം നിവാസികളും അവരുടെ പ്രമാണികളും അവനെയോ ശബ്ബത്തുതോറും വായിച്ചുവരുന്ന പ്രവാചകന്മാരുടെ വചനങ്ങളെയോ തിരിച്ചറിയാതെ അവനെ ശിക്ഷക്കു വിധിക്കയാൽ അവെക്കു നിവൃത്തിവരുത്തി.The people of Jerusalem and their rulers did not recognize Jesus, yet in condemning Him they fulfilled the words of the prophets that are read every Sabbath.

28മരണത്തിന്നു ഒരു ഹേതുവും കാണാഞ്ഞിട്ടും അവനെ കൊല്ലേണം എന്നു അവർ പീലാത്തൊസിനോടു അപേക്ഷിച്ചു.And though they found no ground for a death sentence, they asked Pilate to have Him executed.

29അവനെക്കുറിച്ചു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതു ഒക്കെയും തികെച്ചശേഷം അവർ അവനെ മരത്തിൽനിന്നു ഇറക്കി ഒരു കല്ലറയിൽ വെച്ചു.When they had carried out all that was written about Him, they took Him down from the tree and laid Him in a tomb.

30ദൈവമോ അവനെ മരിച്ചവരിൽ നിന്നു ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേല്പിച്ചു;But God raised Him from the dead,

31അവൻ തന്നോടുകൂടെ ഗലീലയിൽനിന്നു യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു വന്നവർക്കു ഏറിയ ദിവസം പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി; അവർ ഇപ്പോൾ ജനത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ അവന്റെ സാക്ഷികൾ ആകുന്നു.and for many days He was seen by those who had accompanied Him from Galilee to Jerusalem. They are now His witnesses to our people.

32ദൈവം പിതാക്കന്മാരോടു ചെയ്ത വാഗ്ദത്തം യേശുവിനെ ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേല്പിച്ചതിനാൽ മക്കൾക്കു നിവർത്തിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഞങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങളോടു സുവിശേഷിക്കുന്നു.And now we proclaim to you the good news: What God promised our fathers

33നീ എന്റെ പുത്രൻ; ഇന്നു ഞാൻ നിന്നെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു എന്നു രണ്ടാം സങ്കീർത്തനത്തിൽ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.He has fulfilled for us, their children, by raising up Jesus. As it is written in the second Psalm: ‘You are My Son; today I have become Your Father.’

34ഇനി ദ്രവത്വത്തിലേക്കു തിരിയാതവണ്ണം അവൻ അവനെ മരിച്ചവരിനിന്നു എഴുന്നേല്പിച്ചതിനെക്കുറിച്ചു അവൻ: ദാവീദിന്റെ സ്ഥിരമായുള്ള വിശുദ്ധ കൃപകളെ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്കു നല്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നുIn fact, God raised Him from the dead, never to see decay. As He has said: ‘I will give you the holy and sure blessings promised to David.’

35മറ്റൊരു സങ്കീർത്തനത്തിലും: നിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധനെ ദ്രവത്വം കാണ്മാൻ നീ വിട്ടുകൊടുക്കയില്ല എന്നു പറയുന്നു.So also, He says in another Psalm: ‘You will not let Your Holy One see decay.’

36ദാവീദ് തന്റെ തലമുറയിൽ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആലോചനക്കു ശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്തശേഷം നിദ്ര പ്രാപിച്ചു തന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരോടു ചേർന്നു ദ്രവത്വം കണ്ടു.For when David had served God’s purpose in his own generation, he fell asleep. His body was buried with his fathers and saw decay.

37ദൈവം ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേല്പിച്ചവനോ ദ്രവത്വം കണ്ടില്ല. ആകയാൽ സഹോദരന്മാരേ,But the One whom God raised from the dead did not see decay.

38ഇവൻ മൂലം നിങ്ങളോടു പാപമോചനം അറിയിക്കുന്നു എന്നുംTherefore let it be known to you, brothers, that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you.

39മോശെയുടെ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്താൽ നിങ്ങൾക്കു നീതീകരണം വരുവാൻ കഴിയാത്ത സകലത്തിൽ നിന്നും വിശ്വസിക്കുന്ന ഏവനും ഇവനാൽ നീതീകരിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു എന്നും നിങ്ങൾ അറിഞ്ഞുകൊൾവിൻ.Through Him everyone who believes is justified from everything from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses.

40ആകയാൽ: “ഹേ നിന്ദക്കാരേ, നോക്കുവിൻ ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെട്ടു നശിച്ചുപോകുവിൻ. നിങ്ങളുടെ കാലത്തു ഞാൻ ഒരു പ്രവൃത്തി ചെയ്യുന്നു; നിങ്ങളോടു വിവരിച്ചാൽ നിങ്ങൾ വിശ്വസിക്കാത്ത പ്രവൃത്തി തന്നേ”Watch out, then, that what was spoken by the prophets does not happen to you:

41എന്നു പ്രവാചകപുസ്തകങ്ങളിൽ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നതു നിങ്ങൾക്കു ഭവിക്കാതിരിപ്പാൻ സൂക്ഷിച്ചുകൊൾവിൻ.‘Look, you scoffers, wonder and perish! For I am doing a work in your days that you would never believe, even if someone told you.’”

42അവർ പള്ളിവിട്ടു പോകുമ്പോൾ പിറ്റെ ശബ്ബത്തിൽ ഈ വചനം തങ്ങളോടു പറയേണം എന്നു അവർ അപേക്ഷിച്ചു.As Paul and Barnabas were leaving the synagogue, the people urged them to continue this message on the next Sabbath.

43പള്ളി പിരിഞ്ഞശേഷം യെഹൂദന്മാരിലും ഭക്തിയുള്ള യെഹൂദമതാനുസാരികളിലും പലർ പൗലൊസിനെയും ബർന്നാബാസിനെയും അനുഗമിച്ചു; അവർ അവരോടു സംസാരിച്ചു ദൈവ കൃപയിൽ നിലനിൽക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവരെ ഉത്സാഹിപ്പിച്ചു.After the synagogue was dismissed, many of the Jews and devout converts to Judaism followed Paul and Barnabas, who spoke to them and urged them to continue in the grace of God.

44പിറ്റെ ശബ്ബത്തിൽ ഏകദേശം പട്ടണം മുഴുവനും ദൈവവചനം കേൾപ്പാൻ വന്നു കൂടി.On the following Sabbath, nearly the whole city gathered to hear the word of the Lord.

45യെഹൂദന്മാരോ പുരുഷാരത്തെ കണ്ടു അസൂയ നിറഞ്ഞവരായി ദുഷിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു പൗലൊസ് സംസാരിക്കുന്നതിന്നു എതിർ പറഞ്ഞു.But when the Jews saw the crowds, they were filled with jealousy, and they blasphemously contradicted what Paul was saying.

46അപ്പോൾ പൗലൊസും ബർന്നബാസും ധൈര്യംപൂണ്ടു: ദൈവവചനം ആദ്യം നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നതു ആവശ്യമായിരുന്നു; എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങൾ അതിനെ തള്ളി നിങ്ങളെത്തന്നെ നിത്യജീവന്നു അയോഗ്യർ എന്നു വിധിച്ചുകളയുന്നതിനാൽ ഇതാ, ഞങ്ങൾ ജാതികളിലേക്കു തിരിയുന്നു.Then Paul and Barnabas answered them boldly: “It was necessary to speak the word of God to you first. But since you reject it and do not consider yourselves worthy of eternal life, we now turn to the Gentiles.

47“നീ ഭൂമിയുടെ അറ്റത്തോളവും രക്ഷ ആകേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാൻ നിന്നെ ജാതികളുടെ വെളിച്ചമാക്കി വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു” എന്നു കർത്താവു ഞങ്ങളോടു കല്പിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.For this is what the Lord has commanded us: ‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles, to bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’”

48ജാതികൾ ഇതു കേട്ടു സന്തോഷിച്ചു ദൈവവചനത്തെ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തി, നിത്യജീവന്നായി നിയമിക്കപ്പെട്ടവർ എല്ലാവരും വിശ്വസിച്ചു.When the Gentiles heard this, they rejoiced and glorified the word of the Lord, and all who were appointed for eternal life believed.

49കർത്താവിന്റെ വചനം ആ നാട്ടിൽ എങ്ങും വ്യാപിച്ചു.And the word of the Lord spread throughout that region.

50യെഹൂദന്മാരോ ഭക്തിയുള്ള മാന്യസ്ത്രീകളെയും പട്ടണത്തിലെ പ്രധാനികളെയും ഇളക്കി പൗലൊസിന്റെയും ബർന്നബാസിന്റെയും നേരെ ഉപദ്രവമുണ്ടാക്കി അവരെ തങ്ങളുടെ അതിരുകളിൽ നിന്നു പുറത്താക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു.The Jews, however, incited the religious women of prominence and the leading men of the city. They stirred up persecution against Paul and Barnabas and drove them out of their district.

51എന്നാൽ അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ കാലിലെ പൊടി അവരുടെ നേരെ തട്ടിക്കളഞ്ഞു ഇക്കോന്യയിലേക്കു പോയി.So they shook the dust off their feet in protest against them and went to Iconium.

52ശിഷ്യന്മാർ സന്തോഷവും പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവും നിറഞ്ഞവരായിത്തീർന്നു.And the disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit.
