John 10 (MAL10)

1ആമേൻ, ആമേൻ, ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു: ആട്ടിൻതൊഴുത്തിൽ വാതിലൂടെ കടക്കാതെ വേറെ വഴിയായി കയറുന്നവൻ കള്ളനും കവർച്ചക്കാരനും ആകുന്നു.“Truly, truly, I tell you, whoever does not enter the sheepfold by the gate, but climbs in some other way, is a thief and a robber.

2വാതിലൂടെ കടക്കുന്നവനോ ആടുകളുടെ ഇടയൻ ആകുന്നു.But the one who enters by the gate is the shepherd of the sheep.

3അവന്നു വാതിൽകാവല്ക്കാരൻ തുറന്നുകൊടുക്കുന്നു; ആടുകൾ അവന്റെ ശബ്ദം കേൾക്കുന്നു; തന്റെ ആടുകളെ അവൻ പേർചൊല്ലി വിളിച്ചു പുറത്തു കൊണ്ടുപോകുന്നു.The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen for his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.

4തനിക്കുള്ളവയെ ഒക്കെയും പുറത്തു കൊണ്ടു പോയശേഷം അവൻ അവെക്കു മുമ്പായി നടക്കുന്നു; ആടുകൾ അവന്റെ ശബ്ദം അറിഞ്ഞു അവനെ അനുഗമിക്കുന്നു.When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice.

5അന്യന്മാരുടെ ശബ്ദം അറിയായ്കകൊണ്ടു അവ അന്യനെ അനുഗമിക്കാതെ വിട്ടു ഓടിപ്പോകും.But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will flee from him because they do not recognize his voice.”

6ഈ സാദൃശ്യം യേശു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു; എന്നാൽ തങ്ങളോടു പറഞ്ഞതു ഇന്നതു എന്നു അവർ ഗ്രഹിച്ചില്ല.Jesus spoke to them using this illustration, but they did not understand what He was telling them.

7യേശു പിന്നെയും അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: ആമേൻ, ആമേൻ, ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു: ആടുകളുടെ വാതിൽ ഞാൻ ആകുന്നു.So He said to them again, “Truly, truly, I tell you, I am the gate for the sheep.

8എനിക്കു മുമ്പെ വന്നവർ ഒക്കെയും കള്ളന്മാരും കവർച്ചക്കാരും അത്രേ; ആടുകളോ അവരുടെ വാക്കു കേട്ടില്ല.All who came before Me were thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them.

9ഞാൻ വാതിൽ ആകുന്നു; എന്നിലൂടെ കടക്കുന്നവൻ രക്ഷപ്പെടും; അവൻ അകത്തു വരികയും പുറത്തു പോകയും മേച്ചൽ കണ്ടെത്തുകയും ചെയ്യും.I am the gate. If anyone enters through Me, he will be saved. He will come in and go out and find pasture.

10മോഷ്ടിപ്പാനും അറുപ്പാനും മുടിപ്പാനും അല്ലാതെ കള്ളൻ വരുന്നില്ല; അവർക്കു ജീവൻ ഉണ്ടാകുവാനും സമൃദ്ധിയായിട്ടു ഉണ്ടാകുവാനും അത്രേ ഞാൻ വന്നിരിക്കുന്നതു.The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I have come that they may have life, and have it in all its fullness.

11ഞാൻ നല്ല ഇടയൻ ആകുന്നു; നല്ല ഇടയൻ ആടുകൾക്കു വേണ്ടി തന്റെ ജീവനെ കൊടുക്കുന്നു.I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.

12ഇടയനും ആടുകളുടെ ഉടമസ്ഥനുമല്ലാത്ത കൂലിക്കാരൻ ചെന്നായ് വരുന്നതു കണ്ടു ആടുകളെ വിട്ടു ഓടിക്കളയുന്നു; ചെന്നായ് അവയെ പിടിക്കയും ചിന്നിച്ചുകളകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.The hired hand is not the shepherd, and the sheep are not his own. When he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away. Then the wolf pounces on them and scatters the flock.

13അവൻ കൂലിക്കാരനും ആടുകളെക്കുറിച്ചു വിചാരമില്ലാത്തവനുമല്ലോ.The man runs away because he is a hired servant and is unconcerned for the sheep.

14ഞാൻ നല്ല ഇടയൻ; പിതാവു എന്നെ അറികയും ഞാൻ പിതാവിനെ അറികയും ചെയ്യുന്നതുപോലെ ഞാൻ എനിക്കുള്ളവയെ അറികയും എനിക്കുള്ളവ എന്നെ അറികയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.I am the good shepherd. I know My sheep and My sheep know Me,

15ആടുകൾക്കു വേണ്ടി ഞാൻ എന്റെ ജീവനെ കൊടുക്കുന്നു.just as the Father knows Me and I know the Father. And I lay down My life for the sheep.

16ഈ തൊഴുത്തിൽ ഉൾപ്പെടാത്ത വേറെ ആടുകൾ എനിക്കു ഉണ്ടു; അവയെയും ഞാൻ നടത്തേണ്ടതാകുന്നു; അവ എന്റെ ശബ്ദം കേൾക്കും; ഒരാട്ടിൻ കൂട്ടവും ഒരിടയനും ആകും.I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them in as well, and they will listen to My voice. Then there will be one flock and one shepherd.

17എന്റെ ജീവനെ വീണ്ടും പ്രാപിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാൻ അതിനെ കൊടുക്കുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു പിതാവു എന്നെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നു.The reason the Father loves Me is that I lay down My life in order to take it up again.

18ആരും അതിനെ എന്നോടു എടുത്തുകളയുന്നില്ല; ഞാൻ തന്നേ അതിനെ കൊടുക്കുന്നു; അതിനെ കൊടുപ്പാൻ എനിക്കു അധികാരം ഉണ്ടു; വീണ്ടും പ്രാപിപ്പാനും അധികാരം ഉണ്ടു; ഈ കല്പന എന്റെ പിതാവിങ്കൽ നിന്നു എനിക്കു ലഭിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of My own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This charge I have received from My Father.”

19ഈ വചനംനിമിത്തം യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ ഇടയിൽ പിന്നെയും ഭിന്നത ഉണ്ടായി.Again there was division among the Jews because of Jesus’ message.

20അവരിൽ പലരും; അവന്നു ഭൂതം ഉണ്ടു; അവൻ ഭ്രാന്തൻ ആകുന്നു; അവന്റെ വാക്കു കേൾക്കുന്നതു എന്തിന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.Many of them said, “He is demon-possessed and insane. Why would you listen to Him?”

21മറ്റു ചിലർ: ഇതു ഭൂതഗ്രസ്തന്റെ വാക്കല്ല; ഭൂതത്തിന്നു കുരുടന്മാരുടെ കണ്ണു തുറപ്പാൻ കഴിയുമോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.But others replied, “These are not the words of a man possessed by a demon. Can a demon open the eyes of the blind?”

22അനന്തരം യെരൂശലേമിൽ പ്രതിഷ്ഠോത്സവം ആചരിച്ചു; അന്നു ശീതകാലമായിരുന്നു.At that time the Feast of Dedication took place in Jerusalem. It was winter,

23യേശു ദൈവലായത്തിൽ ശലോമോന്റെ മണ്ഡപത്തിൽ നടന്നുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.and Jesus was walking in the temple courts in Solomon’s Colonnade.

24യെഹൂദന്മാർ അവനെ വളഞ്ഞു: നീ എത്രത്തോളം ഞങ്ങളെ ആശിപ്പിക്കുന്നു? നീ ക്രിസ്തു എങ്കിൽ സ്പഷ്ടമായി പറക എന്നു അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞു.So the Jews gathered around Him and demanded, “How long will You keep us in suspense? If You are the Christ, tell us plainly.”

25യേശു അവരോടു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതു: ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറഞ്ഞിട്ടുണ്ടു; എങ്കിലും നിങ്ങൾ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നില്ല; എന്റെ പിതാവിന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ ഞാൻ ചെയ്യുന്ന പ്രവൃത്തികൾ എനിക്കു സാക്ഷ്യം ആകുന്നു.“I already told you,” Jesus replied, “but you did not believe. The works I do in My Father’s name testify on My behalf.

26നിങ്ങളോ എന്റെ ആടുകളുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിലുള്ളവരല്ലായ്കയാൽ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നില്ല.But because you are not My sheep, you refuse to believe.

27എന്റെ ആടുകൾ എന്റെ ശബ്ദം കേൾക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ അവയെ അറികയും അവ എന്നെ അനുഗമിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.My sheep listen to My voice; I know them, and they follow Me.

28ഞാൻ അവെക്കു നിത്യജീവൻ കൊടുക്കുന്നു; അവ ഒരുനാളും നശിച്ചു പോകയില്ല; ആരും അവയെ എന്റെ കയ്യിൽ നിന്നു പിടിച്ചുപറിക്കയും ഇല്ല.I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them out of My hand.

29അവയെ തന്നിരിക്കുന്ന എന്റെ പിതാവു എല്ലാവരിലും വലിയവൻ; പിതാവിന്റെ കയ്യിൽ നിന്നു പിടിച്ചുപറിപ്പാൻ ആർക്കും കഴികയില്ലMy Father who has given them to Me is greater than all. No one can snatch them out of My Father’s hand.

30ഞാനും പിതാവും ഒന്നാകുന്നു.I and the Father are one.”

31യെഹൂദന്മാർ അവനെ എറിവാൻ പിന്നെയും കല്ലു എടുത്തു.At this, the Jews again picked up stones to stone Him.

32യേശു അവരോടു: പിതാവിന്റെ കല്പനയാൽ ഞാൻ പല നല്ല പ്രവൃത്തികൾ നിങ്ങളെ കാണിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവയിൽ ഏതു പ്രവൃത്തിനിമിത്തം നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ കല്ലെറിയുന്നു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.But Jesus responded, “I have shown you many good works from the Father. For which of these do you stone Me?”

33യെഹൂദന്മാർ അവനോടു: നല്ലപ്രവൃത്തിനിമിത്തമല്ല, ദൈവദൂഷണംനിമിത്തവും നീ മനുഷ്യനായിരിക്കെ നിന്നെത്തന്നേ ദൈവം ആക്കുന്നതുകൊണ്ടുമത്രേ ഞങ്ങൾ നിന്നെ കല്ലെറിയുന്നതു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.“We are not stoning You for any good work,” said the Jews, “but for blasphemy, because You, who are a man, make Yourself out to be God.”

34യേശു അവരോടു: നിങ്ങൾ ദേവന്മാർ ആകുന്നു എന്നു ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞു എന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിൽ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നില്ലയോ?Jesus replied, “Is it not written in your Law: ‘I have said you are gods’?

35ദൈവത്തിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു ഉണ്ടായിട്ടുള്ളവരെ ദേവന്മാർ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു എങ്കിൽ ‒ തിരുവെഴുത്തിന്നു നീക്കം വന്നുകൂടായല്ലോ ‒If he called them gods to whom the word of God came—and the Scripture cannot be broken—

36ഞാൻ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പുത്രൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞതുകൊണ്ടു: നീ ദൈവദൂഷണം പറയുന്നു എന്നു പിതാവു വിശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചു ലോകത്തിൽ അയച്ചവനോടു നിങ്ങൾ പറയുന്നുവോ?then what about the One whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world? How then can you accuse Me of blasphemy for stating that I am the Son of God?

37ഞാൻ എന്റെ പിതാവിന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തി ചെയ്യുന്നില്ലെങ്കിൽ എന്നെ വിശ്വസിക്കേണ്ടാ;If I am not doing the works of My Father, then do not believe Me.

38ചെയ്യുന്നു എങ്കിലോ എന്നെ വിശ്വസിക്കാതിരുന്നാലും പിതാവു എന്നിലും ഞാൻ പിതാവിലും എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ ഗ്രഹിച്ചു അറിയേണ്ടതിന്നു പ്രവൃത്തിയെ വിശ്വസിപ്പിൻ.But if I am doing them, even though you do not believe Me, believe the works themselves, so that you may know and understand that the Father is in Me, and I am in the Father.”

39അവർ അവനെ പിന്നെയും പിടിപ്പാൻ നോക്കി; അവനോ അവരുടെ കയ്യിൽ നിന്നു ഒഴിഞ്ഞുപോയി.At this, they tried again to seize Him, but He escaped their grasp.

40അവൻ യോർദ്ദാന്നക്കരെ യോഹന്നാൻ ആദിയിൽ സ്നാനം കഴിപ്പിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്ന സ്ഥലത്തു പിന്നെയും ചെന്നു അവിടെ പാർത്തു.Then Jesus went back across the Jordan to the place where John had first been baptizing, and He stayed there.

41പലരും അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു: യോഹന്നാൻ അടയാളം ഒന്നും ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ല; എന്നാൽ ഇവനെക്കുറിച്ചു യോഹന്നാൻ പറഞ്ഞതു ഒക്കെയും സത്യമായിരുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.Many came to Him and said, “Although John never performed a sign, everything he said about this man was true.”

42അവിടെ പലരും അവനിൽ വിശ്വസിച്ചു.And many in that place believed in Jesus.
