1മൂന്നാം നാൾ ഗലീലയിലെ കാനാവിൽ ഒരു കല്യാണം ഉണ്ടായി; യേശുവിന്റെ അമ്മ അവിടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.On the third day a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee. Jesus’ mother was there,

2യേശുവിനെയും ശിഷ്യന്മാരെയും കല്യാണത്തിന്നു ക്ഷണിച്ചിരുന്നു.and Jesus and His disciples had also been invited to the wedding.

3വീഞ്ഞു പോരാതെവരികയാൽ യേശുവിന്റെ അമ്മ അവനോടു: അവർക്കു വീഞ്ഞു ഇല്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.When the wine ran out, Jesus’ mother said to Him, “They have no more wine.”

4യേശു അവളോടു: സ്ത്രീയേ, എനിക്കും നിനക്കും തമ്മിൽ എന്തു? എന്റെ നാഴിക ഇതുവരെ വന്നിട്ടില് ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.“Woman, what is that to you and to Me?” Jesus replied. “My hour has not yet come.”

5അവന്റെ അമ്മ ശുശ്രൂഷക്കാരോടു: അവൻ നിങ്ങളോടു എന്തെങ്കിലും കല്പിച്ചാൽ അതു ചെയ്വിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever He tells you.”

6അവിടെ യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ ശുദ്ധീകരണനിയമം അനുസരിച്ചു രണ്ടോ മൂന്നോ പറ വീതം കൊള്ളുന്ന ആറു കല്പാത്രം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.Now six stone water jars had been set there for the Jewish rites of purification. Each could hold from twenty to thirty gallons.

7യേശു അവരോടു: ഈ കല്പാത്രങ്ങളിൽ വെള്ളം നിറെപ്പിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; അവർ വക്കൊളവും നിറെച്ചു.Jesus told the servants, “Fill the jars with water.” So they filled them to the brim.

8ഇപ്പോൾ കോരി വിരുന്നുവാഴിക്കു കൊണ്ടുപോയി കൊടുപ്പിൻ എന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു; അവർ കൊണ്ടുപോയി കൊടുത്തു.“Now draw some out,” He said, “and take it to the master of the banquet.” They did so,

9അതു എവിടെനിന്നു എന്നു വെള്ളം കോരിയ ശുശ്രൂഷക്കാരല്ലാതെ വിരുന്നുവാഴി അറിഞ്ഞില്ല. വീഞ്ഞായിത്തീർന്ന വെള്ളം വിരുന്നുവാഴി രുചിനോക്കിയാറെ മണവാളനെ വിളിച്ചു:and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not know where it was from, but the servants who had drawn the water knew. Then he called the bridegroom aside

10എല്ലാവരും ആദ്യം നല്ല വീഞ്ഞും ലഹരി പിടിച്ചശേഷം ഇളപ്പമായതും കൊടുക്കുമാറുണ്ടു; നീ നല്ല വീഞ്ഞു ഇതുവരെയും സൂക്ഷിച്ചുവെച്ചുവല്ലോ എന്നു അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞു.and said, “Everyone serves the fine wine first, and then the cheap wine after the guests are drunk. But you have saved the fine wine until now!”

11യേശു ഇതിനെ അടയാളങ്ങളുടെ ആരംഭമായി ഗലീലയിലെ കാനാവിൽവെച്ചു ചെയ്തു തന്റെ മഹത്വം വെളിപ്പെടുത്തി; അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ അവനിൽ വിശ്വസിച്ചു.Jesus performed this, the first of His signs, at Cana in Galilee. He thus revealed His glory, and His disciples believed in Him.

12അനന്തരം അവനും അവന്റെ അമ്മയും സഹോദരന്മാരും ശിഷ്യന്മാരും കഫർന്നഹൂമിലേക്കു പോയി; അവിടെ ഏറനാൾ പാർത്തില്ല.After this, He went down to Capernaum with His mother and brothers and His disciples, and they stayed there a few days.

13യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ പെസഹ സമീപം ആകകൊണ്ടു യേശു യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു പോയി.When the Jewish Passover was near, Jesus went up to Jerusalem.

14ദൈവാലയത്തിൽ കാള, ആടു, പ്രാവു എന്നിവയെ വില്ക്കുന്നവരെയും അവിടെ ഇരിക്കുന്ന പൊൻവാണിഭക്കാരെയും കണ്ടിട്ടുIn the temple courts He found men selling cattle, sheep, and doves, and money changers seated at their tables.

15കയറുകൊണ്ടു ഒരു ചമ്മട്ടി ഉണ്ടാക്കി ആടുമാടുകളോടുംകൂടെ എല്ലാവരെയും ദൈവാലയത്തിൽനിന്നു പുറത്താക്കി. പൊൻവാണിഭക്കാരുടെ നാണ്യം തൂകിക്കളഞ്ഞു മേശകളെ മറിച്ചിട്ടു;So He made a whip out of cords and drove all from the temple courts, both sheep and cattle. He poured out the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables.

16പ്രാവുകളെ വില്ക്കുന്നവരോടു: ഇതു ഇവിടെനിന്നു കൊണ്ടുപോകുവിൻ; എന്റെ പിതാവിന്റെ ആലയത്തെ വാണിഭശാല ആക്കരുതു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.To those selling doves He said, “Get these out of here! How dare you turn My Father’s house into a marketplace!”

17അപ്പോൾ അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ: നിന്റെ ആലയത്തെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള എരിവു എന്നെ തിന്നുകളയുന്നു എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതു ഓർത്തു.His disciples remembered that it is written: “Zeal for Your house will consume Me.”

18എന്നാൽ യെഹൂദന്മാർ അവനോടു: നിനക്കു ഇങ്ങനെ ചെയ്യാം എന്നതിന്നു നീ എന്തു അടയാളം കാണിച്ചുതരും എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.On account of this, the Jews demanded, “What sign can You show us to prove Your authority to do these things?”

19യേശു അവരോടു: ഈ മന്ദിരം പൊളിപ്പിൻ; ഞാൻ മൂന്നു ദിവസത്തിന്നകം അതിനെ പണിയും എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.Jesus answered, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up again.”

20യെഹൂദന്മാർ അവനോടു: ഈ മന്ദിരം നാല്പത്താറു സംവത്സരംകൊണ്ടു പണിതിരിക്കുന്നു; നീ മൂന്നു ദിവസത്തിന്നകം അതിനെ പണിയുമോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.“This temple took forty-six years to build,” the Jews replied, “and You are going to raise it up in three days?”

21അവനോ തന്റെ ശരീരം എന്ന മന്ദിരത്തെക്കുറിച്ചത്രേ പറഞ്ഞതു.But Jesus was speaking about the temple of His body.

22അവൻ ഇതു പറഞ്ഞു എന്നു അവൻ മരിച്ചവരിൽനിന്നു ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേറ്റ ശേഷം ശിഷ്യന്മാർ ഓർത്തു തിരുവെഴുത്തും യേശു പറഞ്ഞ വചനവും വിശ്വസിച്ചു.After He was raised from the dead, His disciples remembered that He had said this. Then they believed the Scripture and the word that Jesus had spoken.

23പെസഹപെരുന്നാളിൽ യെരൂശലേമിൽ ഇരിക്കുമ്പോൾ അവൻ ചെയ്ത അടയാളങ്ങൾ കണ്ടിട്ടു പലരും അവന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ വിശ്വസിച്ചു.While He was in Jerusalem at the Passover Feast, many people saw the signs He was doing and believed in His name.

24യേശുവോ എല്ലാവരെയും അറികകൊണ്ടു തന്നെത്താൻ അവരുടെ പക്കൽ വിശ്വസിച്ചേല്പിച്ചില്ല.But Jesus did not entrust Himself to them, for He knew them all.

25മനുഷ്യനിലുള്ളതു എന്തു എന്നു സ്വതവെ അറിഞ്ഞിരിക്കയാൽ തനിക്കു മനുഷ്യനെക്കുറിച്ചു യാതൊരുത്തന്റെയും സാക്ഷ്യം ആവശ്യമായിരുന്നില്ല.He did not need any testimony about man, for He knew what was in a man.
