1सार्वभौम याहवेहने मला हे दाखविले: पिकलेल्या फळांनी भरलेली एक टोपली दाखविली.This is what the Lord GOD showed me: I saw a basket of summer fruit.

2“आमोसा, तुला काय दिसते?” त्यांनी विचारले. मी उत्तर दिले, “मला पिकलेल्या फळांची एक टोपली दिसते.” मग याहवेह मला म्हणाले, “माझ्या इस्राएली लोकांचा समय परिपक्व झाला आहे; मी त्यांची गय करणार नाही.”“Amos, what do you see?” He asked. “A basket of summer fruit,” I replied. So the LORD said to me, “The end has come for My people Israel; I will no longer spare them.”

3सार्वभौम याहवेह घोषित करतात, “त्या दिवशी, मंदिरातील त्यांचे गीत मी आकांतात बदलेन. सर्वत्र अनेक मृतदेह मौन धरून पडलेली असतील!”“In that day,” declares the Lord GOD, “the songs of the temple will turn to wailing. Many will be the corpses, strewn in silence everywhere!”

All of it will swell like the Nile; it will surge and then subside like the Nile in Egypt.

I will cause everyone to wear sackcloth and every head to be shaved. I will make it like a time of mourning for an only son, and its outcome like a bitter day.

12आणि लोक याहवेहच्या वचनाच्या शोधात समुद्रापासून समुद्रापर्यंत आणि उत्तरेपासून पूर्वेकडे भटकतील, पण त्यांना ते सापडणार नाही.People will stagger from sea to sea and roam from north to east, seeking the word of the LORD, but they will not find it.

13“त्या दिवसात “तहानेने व्याकूळ होऊन सुंदर कुमारी आणि उमदे तरुण निस्तेज होऊन जातील.In that day the lovely young women—the young men as well—will faint from thirst.

14जे शोमरोनच्या पापाची शपथ घेतात; जे म्हणतात, ‘हे दान, तुझ्या दैवतेची शपथ’ किंवा ‘बेअर-शेबाच्या दैवतेची शपथ,’— ते असे पडतील की पुन्हा कधीही उठणार नाहीत.”Those who swear by the guilt of Samaria and say, ‘As surely as your god lives, O Dan,’ or, ‘As surely as the way of Beersheba lives’—they will fall, never to rise again.”
