1तिसर्या दिवशी गालीलातील काना येथे एक लग्न होते. येशूंची आई तिथे होती,On the third day a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee. Jesus’ mother was there,

3ज्यावेळी द्राक्षारस संपला, तेव्हा येशूंची आई त्यांना म्हणाली, “त्यांच्याजवळचा द्राक्षारस संपला आहे.”When the wine ran out, Jesus’ mother said to Him, “They have no more wine.”

4येशू म्हणाले, “बाई, तू मला यामध्ये भाग घ्यावयास का लावते? माझी घटका अजूनही आलेली नाही.”“Woman, what is that to you and to Me?” Jesus replied. “My hour has not yet come.”

5त्यांच्या आईने नोकरांस सांगितले, “हा जे काही तुम्हाला सांगेल ते करा.”His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever He tells you.”

11येशूंनी गालीलातील काना येथे केलेले हे पहिले चिन्ह होते व त्याद्वारे आपले गौरव प्रकट केले आणि शिष्यांनी त्यांच्यावर विश्वास ठेवला.Jesus performed this, the first of His signs, at Cana in Galilee. He thus revealed His glory, and His disciples believed in Him.

12यानंतर येशू आपली आई, भाऊ आणि शिष्य यांच्याबरोबर काही दिवस खाली कफर्णहूम येथे राहण्यास गेले.After this, He went down to Capernaum with His mother and brothers and His disciples, and they stayed there a few days.

13त्यानंतर यहूद्यांचा वल्हांडण सण जवळ आला असताना येशू वर यरुशलेमास गेले.When the Jewish Passover was near, Jesus went up to Jerusalem.

14तिथे त्यांनी मंदिराच्या अंगणात गुरे, मेंढरे व कबुतरे विकणारे आणि पैसे बदलून देणारे लोक यांना पाहिले,In the temple courts He found men selling cattle, sheep, and doves, and money changers seated at their tables.

15तेव्हा त्यांनी दोर्यांचा एक चाबूक तयार केला आणि त्या सर्वांना मेंढरे आणि गुरे यांच्यासहित मंदिराच्या परिसरातून बाहेर घालविले आणि नाणी बदलून देणार्यांचे मेज पालथे करून त्यांची नाणी उधळून टाकली.So He made a whip out of cords and drove all from the temple courts, both sheep and cattle. He poured out the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables.

17तेव्हा शिष्यांना हा शास्त्रलेख आठवला: “तुझ्या मंदिराविषयीच्या ईर्षेने मला ग्रासून टाकले आहे.”His disciples remembered that it is written: “Zeal for Your house will consume Me.”

18यहूदी पुढार्यांनी त्यांना म्हटले, “हे सर्व करण्याचा अधिकार आपणाला दिला आहे हे सिद्ध करण्यासाठी आपण कोणते चिन्ह आम्हास दाखवाल?”On account of this, the Jews demanded, “What sign can You show us to prove Your authority to do these things?”

19येशू म्हणाले, “हे मंदिर तुम्ही नष्ट करा आणि मी ते तीन दिवसात पुन्हा बांधेन.”Jesus answered, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up again.”

20त्यांनी उत्तर दिले, “हे मंदिर बांधण्यासाठी शेहेचाळीस वर्षे लागली आणि आपण तीन दिवसात हे बांधू शकता का?”“This temple took forty-six years to build,” the Jews replied, “and You are going to raise it up in three days?”

21परंतु मंदिर म्हणजे स्वतःच्या शरीरा संदर्भात ते बोलत होते.But Jesus was speaking about the temple of His body.

22पुढे ते मरणातून उठल्यानंतर, त्यांच्या शिष्यांना या शब्दाचे स्मरण झाले. नंतर त्यांनी शास्त्रलेख व येशूंनी उच्चारलेली वचने यावर विश्वास ठेवला.After He was raised from the dead, His disciples remembered that He had said this. Then they believed the Scripture and the word that Jesus had spoken.

23वल्हांडणाच्या उत्सवात येशू यरुशलेमात असताना, अनेक लोकांनी त्यांच्याद्वारे घडत असलेली चिन्हे पाहिली व त्यांच्या नावावर विश्वास ठेवला.While He was in Jerusalem at the Passover Feast, many people saw the signs He was doing and believed in His name.

24परंतु येशूंनी स्वतःस त्यांच्या अधीन केले नाही, कारण ते सर्व लोकांस ओळखून होते.But Jesus did not entrust Himself to them, for He knew them all.

25त्यांना मनुष्याविषयी कोणाच्याही साक्षीची गरज नव्हती, कारण प्रत्येक व्यक्तीमध्ये काय आहे हे त्यांना माहीत होते.He did not need any testimony about man, for He knew what was in a man.
