1येशूंनी आपल्या बारा शिष्यांना जवळ बोलाविले आणि त्यांना अशुद्ध आत्म्यांना घालवून देण्याचा आणि प्रत्येक रोग व आजार बरे करण्याचा अधिकार दिला.And calling His twelve disciples to Him, Jesus gave them authority over unclean spirits, so that they could drive them out and heal every disease and sickness.

2त्यांच्या बारा प्रेषितांची नावे ही: शिमोन ज्याला पेत्र असेही म्हणतात आणि त्याचा भाऊ आंद्रिया; जब्दीचा पुत्र याकोब, त्याचा भाऊ योहान;These are the names of the twelve apostles: first Simon, called Peter, and his brother Andrew; James son of Zebedee, and his brother John;

3फिलिप्प आणि बर्थलमय; थोमा आणि मत्तय जकातदार; अल्फीचा पुत्र याकोब आणि तद्दय;Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus;

4शिमोन कनानी आणि यहूदाह इस्कर्योत ज्याने येशूंना विश्वासघाताने धरून दिले.Simon the Zealot, and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed Jesus.

5येशूंनी बारा प्रेषितांना सूचना देऊन पाठविले: “गैरयहूदी लोकांकडे जाऊ नका किंवा शोमरोन्यांच्या कोणत्याही शहरात प्रवेश करू नका.These twelve Jesus sent out with the following instructions: “Do not go onto the road of the Gentiles or enter any town of the Samaritans.

6इस्राएलांच्या हरवलेल्या मेंढराकडे जा.Go rather to the lost sheep of Israel.

7जात असताना, ‘स्वर्गाचे राज्य जवळ आले आहे’ अशी घोषणा करा.As you go, preach this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven is near.’

8आजार्यांना बरे करा, मृतांना जिवंत करा, कुष्ठरोग्यांना शुद्ध करा, भूतग्रस्तांतून भुते काढून टाका. तुम्हाला विनामूल्य मिळाले आहे, तुम्हीही विनामूल्य द्या.Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.

9“प्रवासाला जाताना कमरपट्ट्यात सोने, चांदी किंवा तांबे असे काहीही घेऊ नका.Do not take along any gold or silver or copper in your belts.

10तुमच्या प्रवासासाठी थैली किंवा अधिक अंगरखा किंवा पायतण किंवा काठी घेऊ नका; कारण कामकरी अन्नास पात्र आहे.Take no bag for the road, or second tunic, or sandals, or staff; for the worker is worthy of his provisions.

11ज्या एखाद्या शहरात किंवा गावात तुम्ही प्रवेश कराल, त्यावेळी एखाद्या योग्य मनुष्याचा शोध करा आणि निघेपर्यंत त्याच्याच घरी राहा.Whatever town or village you enter, find out who is worthy there and stay at his house until you move on.

12एखाद्या घरात प्रवेश करताना शुभेच्छा द्या.As you enter the home, greet its occupants.

13ते घर योग्य असेल, तर तुमच्या आशीर्वादाप्रमाणे तिथे शांती नांदेल. पण याउलट परिस्थिती असली तर तुमचा आशीर्वाद तुम्हाकडे परत येईल.If the home is worthy, let your peace rest on it, but if it is not, let your peace return to you.

14जर कोणी तुमचे स्वागत केले नाही किंवा तुमचे शब्द ऐकले नाही, तर त्या घरातून किंवा शहरातून निघा आणि तुमच्या पायाची धूळ तिथेच झटकून टाका.And if anyone will not welcome you or heed your words, shake the dust off your feet when you leave that home or town.

15मी तुम्हाला निश्चित सांगतो की, न्यायाचा दिवस सदोम व गमोराला त्या नगरापेक्षा अधिक सुसह्य असेल.Truly I tell you, it will be more bearable for Sodom and Gomorrah on the day of judgment than for that town.

16“मेंढरांनी लांडग्यांमध्ये जावे त्याप्रमाणे मी तुम्हाला पाठवित आहे म्हणून तुम्ही सर्पासारखे चतुर आणि कबुतरांसारखे निर्दोष असा.Behold, I am sending you out like sheep among wolves; therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves.

17तुम्ही सावध असले पाहिजे. तुम्हाला न्यायालयाकडे सोपविले जाईल आणि सभागृहामध्ये तुम्हाला फटके मारण्यात येईल.But beware of men, for they will hand you over to their councils and flog you in their synagogues.

18तुम्हाला माझ्या नावासाठी त्यांना व गैरयहूदीयांना साक्ष व्हावी म्हणून अधिकारी व राजांसमोर आणले जाईल.On My account you will be brought before governors and kings as witnesses to them and to the Gentiles.

19तुम्हाला अटक करून नेल्यावर न्यायालयासमोर काय बोलावे व कसे बोलावे याविषयी चिंता करू नका. त्यावेळी तुम्हाला काय बोलावे ते सुचविले जाईल.But when they hand you over, do not worry about how to respond or what to say. In that hour you will be given what to say.

20कारण तुम्ही बोलणार नाही पण तुमच्या पित्याचा आत्मा तुमच्याद्वारे बोलेल.For it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.

21“भाऊ भावाला, पिता आपल्या लेकरांना जिवे मारण्याकरिता विश्वासघाताने धरून देतील. लेकरेही आपल्या आईवडिलांविरुद्ध बंड करतील आणि त्यांचा वध घडवून आणतील.Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; children will rise against their parents and have them put to death.

22माझ्यामुळे सर्वजण तुमचा द्वेष करतील. परंतु जो शेवटपर्यंत स्थिर राहतील, त्याचे मात्र तारण होईल.You will be hated by everyone because of My name, but the one who perseveres to the end will be saved.

23तुमचा एका शहरात छळ होऊ लागला की दुसर्या शहरात पळून जा. कारण मी तुम्हाला निश्चितपणे सांगतो, मानवपुत्र येण्याअगोदर इस्राएलाच्या नगरांमधून तुमचे फिरणे संपणारच नाही.When they persecute you in one town, flee to the next. Truly I tell you, you will not reach all the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes.

24“शिष्य गुरूपेक्षा थोर नाही, किंवा दास आपल्या धन्यापेक्षा थोर नाही.A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his master.

25शिष्याने आपल्या गुरू सारखे असणे आणि दासाने आपल्या धन्यासारखे असणे पुरे आहे. जर घर प्रमुखाला बालजबूल म्हटले, तर घरच्या सभासदांना कितीतरी अधिक म्हणतील!It is enough for a disciple to be like his teacher, and a servant like his master. If the head of the house has been called Beelzebul, how much more the members of his household!

26“तुम्ही त्यांना भिऊ नका, जे प्रकट होणार नाही, असे काही झाकलेले नाही उघडकीस येणार नाही असे काही गुप्त नाही.So do not be afraid of them. For there is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, and nothing hidden that will not be made known.

27आता मी तुम्हाला अंधारात सांगत आहे, ते दिवसाच्या प्रकाशात सांगा; जे मी तुमच्या कानात सांगत आहे, ते घराच्या धाब्यावरून जाहीर करा.What I tell you in the dark, speak in the daylight; what is whispered in your ear, proclaim from the housetops.

28जे तुमच्या शरीराचा वध करू शकतात, परंतु आत्म्याचा नाश करू शकत नाहीत, अशांना भिऊ नका. तर तुमचा आत्मा आणि शरीर या दोहोंचा नरकामध्ये जे नाश करू शकतात, त्या परमेश्वराचे मात्र भय धरा.Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Instead, fear the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.

29दोन चिमण्या एका पैशात विकत नाहीत काय? तरी त्यापैकी एकही चिमणी तुमच्या पित्याच्या इच्छेविना जमिनीवर पडणार नाही.Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father.

30आणि तुमच्या डोक्याचे सर्व केसही मोजलेले आहेत.And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered.

31म्हणून भीती बाळगू नका, कारण तुम्ही पुष्कळ चिमण्यांपेक्षा अधिक मोलवान आहात.So do not be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

32“जो कोणी मला इतरांपुढे जाहीरपणे स्वीकारेल, तर मीही त्याचा माझ्या स्वर्गीय पित्यासमोर जाहीरपणे स्वीकार करेन.Therefore everyone who confesses Me before men, I will also confess him before My Father in heaven.

33जे मला लोकांसमोर नाकारतात, मीही त्यांना माझ्या स्वर्गीय पित्यासमोर जाहीरपणे नाकारेन.But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father in heaven.

34“मी पृथ्वीवर शांती देण्यासाठी आलो आहे, अशी कल्पना करू नका. शांती देण्यासाठी नाही, तर तलवार चालविण्यास आलो आहे.Do not assume that I have come to bring peace to the earth; I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.

35“ ‘मनुष्य आपल्या पित्याविरुद्ध, मुलगी तिच्या आईविरुद्ध, आणि सून तिच्या सासूविरुद्ध करण्यासाठी मी आलो आहे.For I have come to turn ‘a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.

36मनुष्याचे शत्रू त्याच्या आपल्याच कुटुंबातील सदस्य असतील.’A man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.’

37“जो कोणी माझ्यापेक्षा आपल्या आईवडीलांवर अधिक प्रेम करीत असेल, तर तो मला पात्र नाही; जो कोणी माझ्यापेक्षा आपल्या पुत्र व कन्यांवर अधिक प्रेम करीत असेल, तर ते मला पात्र नाही.Anyone who loves his father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; anyone who loves his son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me;

38जो कोणी आपला क्रूसखांब उचलून घेऊन माझ्यामागे येत नाही, तो मला पात्र नाही.and anyone who does not take up his cross and follow Me is not worthy of Me.

39कारण जो कोणी आपला जीव मिळवितो तो आपल्या जीवाला मुकेल, पण जो कोणी माझ्यासाठी आपल्या जीवाला गमावेल, तो त्याचा जीव वाचवेल.Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.

40“जे तुमचे स्वागत करतात, ते माझे स्वागत करतात, आणि जे माझे स्वागत करतात, ते ज्यांनी मला पाठविले त्यांचे स्वागत करतात.He who receives you receives Me, and he who receives Me receives the One who sent Me.

41जो संदेष्ट्यांचा संदेष्टा म्हणून स्वीकार करतो, त्याला संदेष्ट्यांचे प्रतिफळ मिळेल; जो कोणी नीतिमान व्यक्तीचा नीतिमान म्हणून स्वीकार करतो, त्याला नीतिमान व्यक्तीचे प्रतिफळ मिळेल.Whoever receives a prophet because he is a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward, and whoever receives a righteous man because he is a righteous man will receive a righteous man’s reward.

42मी तुम्हाला निश्चित सांगतो की, जर कोणी या लहानातील एकाला, जो माझा शिष्य आहे, त्याला पेलाभर थंड पाणी प्यावयास दिले, तर तो आपल्या पारितोषिकाला मुकणार नाही.”And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones because he is My disciple, truly I tell you, he will never lose his reward.”
