1सहा दिवसानंतर पेत्र, याकोब आणि याकोबाचा भाऊ योहान या तिघांना बरोबर घेऊन येशू एका उंच डोंगरावर गेले;After six days Jesus took with Him Peter, James, and John the brother of James, and led them up a high mountain by themselves.

If You wish, I will put up three shelters—one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”

9ते डोंगरावरून खाली उतरत असताना येशूंनी त्यांना आज्ञा केली, “तुम्ही जे काही पाहिले, ते मानवपुत्र मरणातून पुन्हा उठेपर्यंत कोणालाही सांगू नका.”As they were coming down the mountain, Jesus commanded them, “Do not tell anyone about this vision until the Son of Man has been raised from the dead.”

10शिष्यांनी येशूंना विचारले, “एलीयाह प्रथम आला पाहिजे, असे नियमशास्त्राचे शिक्षक का म्हणतात?”The disciples asked Him, “Why then do the scribes say that Elijah must come first?”

11येशूंनी उत्तर दिले, “एलीयाह येईल व सर्वकाही व्यवस्थित करेल याची खात्री बाळगा.Jesus replied, “Elijah does indeed come, and he will restore all things.

12पण मी तुम्हाला सांगतो, एलीयाह आधीच आलेला आहे आणि त्यांनी त्याला ओळखले नाही, परंतु त्यांच्या इच्छेप्रमाणे त्यांनी त्याला वाटेल तसे वागविले आहे.” अशाच प्रकारे मानवपुत्रालाही त्यांच्या हातून यातना भोगावयास लागतील.But I tell you that Elijah has already come, and they did not recognize him, but have done to him whatever they wished. In the same way, the Son of Man will suffer at their hands.”

13तेव्हा येशू बाप्तिस्मा करणार्या योहानाविषयी बोलत आहेत, हे शिष्यांच्या लक्षात आले.Then the disciples understood that He was speaking to them about John the Baptist.

14जेव्हा ते समुदायाकडे आले, त्यातील एक मनुष्य येशूंकडे आला आणि त्यांच्यापुढे गुडघे टेकून म्हणाला,When they came to the crowd, a man came up to Jesus and knelt before Him.

15“प्रभूजी, माझ्या मुलावर दया करा, कारण तो फेपरेकरी आहे आणि त्यामुळे त्याला फार यातना भोगाव्या लागतात. तो वारंवार अग्नीत नाही तर पाण्यात पडतो.“Lord, have mercy on my son,” he said. “He has seizures and is suffering terribly. He often falls into the fire or into the water.

17येशूंनी उत्तर दिले, “हे विश्वासहीन व दुष्ट पिढी, आणखी किती काळ मी तुमच्याबरोबर राहिले पाहिजे? आणखी किती काळ मी सहन करू? त्या मुलाला माझ्याकडे आणा.”“O unbelieving and perverse generation!” Jesus replied. “How long must I remain with you? How long must I put up with you? Bring the boy here to Me.”

18मग येशूंनी त्या मुलामधील दुरात्म्याला धमकावून घालवून दिले व त्या क्षणापासून तो मुलगा बरा झाला.Then Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of the boy, and he was healed from that moment.

19मग येशूंच्या शिष्यांनी त्यांच्याकडे एकांतात येऊन त्यांना विचारले, “त्याला आम्ही का काढू शकलो नाही?”Afterward the disciples came to Jesus privately and asked, “Why couldn’t we drive it out?”

20येशूंनी उत्तर दिले, “तुमच्या अल्पविश्वासामुळे,” मी तुम्हाला सत्य सांगतो, तुमच्याजवळ मोहरीच्या दाण्याएवढा विश्वास असला आणि या डोंगराला तू इथून पलीकडे सरक, असे तुम्ही म्हणाला, तरी तो दूर सरकेल. तुम्हाला कोणतीही गोष्ट अशक्य होणार नाही.“Because you have so little faith,” He answered. “For truly I tell you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
