1आपले बोलणे संपविल्यावर येशू गालील प्रांत सोडून यार्देन नदीच्या पार यहूदीया प्रांतात आले.When Jesus had finished saying these things, He left Galilee and went into the region of Judea beyond the Jordan.

2लोक मोठ्या संख्येने त्यांच्यामागे जात होते आणि त्यांनी त्यांना बरे केले.Large crowds followed Him, and He healed them there.

5आणि, ‘या कारणासाठी पुरुष आपल्या आईवडिलांना सोडून आपल्या पत्नीशी जडून राहील आणि दोघे एकदेह होतील.’and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’?

6म्हणून येथून पुढे ते दोघे नसून एकदेह आहेत. म्हणून परमेश्वराने जे जोडले आहे, ते कोणीही विभक्त करू नये.”So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate.”

8यावर येशूंनी उत्तर दिले, “तुमच्या कठोर अंतःकरणामुळे मोशेने तुम्हाला आज्ञा दिली. परंतु मुळात परमेश्वराची तशी इच्छा नव्हती.Jesus replied, “Moses permitted you to divorce your wives because of your hardness of heart. But it was not this way from the beginning.

9मी तुम्हाला सांगतो, व्यभिचाराच्या कारणाशिवाय जो कोणी आपल्या पत्नीला सूटपत्र देतो आणि दुसर्या स्त्रीशी लग्न करतो, तो व्यभिचार करतो.”Now I tell you that whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another woman commits adultery.”

10येशूंचे शिष्य त्यांना म्हणाले, “जर अशी परिस्थिती पती आणि पत्नीमध्ये असेल, तर मग लग्न न केलेले बरे.”His disciples said to Him, “If this is the case between a man and his wife, it is better not to marry.”

11येशू म्हणाले, “हे शिक्षण प्रत्येकाला स्वीकारता येईल असे नाही; पण ज्यांना तसे दान दिले आहे, त्यानांच ते स्वीकारता येईल.“Not everyone can accept this word,” He replied, “but only those to whom it has been given.

12कारण काहीजण जन्मतःच नपुंसक असतात आणि काही जणांना मनुष्यांनीच तसे केलेले असते; आणि काहींनी स्वर्गाच्या राज्यासाठी ही जीवनपद्धती स्वीकारली आहे. ज्यांना ही स्वीकारावयाची आहे, त्यांनी ती स्वीकारावी.”For there are eunuchs who were born that way; others were made that way by men; and still others live like eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. The one who can accept this should accept it.”

13येशूंनी त्यांच्यावर हात ठेवावे व प्रार्थना करावी म्हणून लोक आपल्या लहान बालकांना येशूंकडे घेऊन आले. परंतु शिष्यांनी त्यांना दटाविले.Then little children were brought to Jesus for Him to place His hands on them and pray for them. And the disciples rebuked those who brought them.

14येशू शिष्यांना म्हणाले, “लहान बालकांना माझ्याजवळ येऊ द्या, त्यांना प्रतिबंध करू नका; कारण स्वर्गाचे राज्य अशांचेच आहे.”But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them! For the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

15त्या ठिकाणाहून निघण्यापूर्वी येशूंनी त्यांच्यावर हात ठेवले.And after He had placed His hands on them, He went on from there.

16आता एक मनुष्य येशूंकडे आला व त्यांना विचारले, “गुरुजी, सार्वकालिक जीवन मिळविण्याकरिता मी कोणत्या चांगल्या गोष्टी कराव्या?”Just then a man came up to Jesus and inquired, “Teacher, what good thing must I do to obtain eternal life?”

17तेव्हा येशूंनी त्याला म्हटले, “तू मला उत्तम काय आहे हे का विचारतोस? फक्त परमेश्वरच खर्या अर्थाने उत्तम आहेत. पण तू आज्ञा पाळ म्हणजे तुला जीवनात प्रवेश मिळेल.”“Why do you ask Me about what is good?” Jesus replied. “There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, keep the commandments.”

18“कोणत्या आज्ञा?” त्याने विचारले. येशूंनी उत्तर दिले, “ ‘तू खून करू नको, तू व्यभिचार करू नको, तू चोरी करू नको, तू खोटी साक्ष देऊ नको,“Which ones?” the man asked. Jesus answered, “‘Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not bear false witness,

19तुझ्या आई आणि वडिलांचा मान राख,’ आणि ‘जशी तुम्ही स्वतःवर तशी तुमच्या शेजार्यावर प्रीती करा.’ ”honor your father and mother, and love your neighbor as yourself.’”

20तो तरुण म्हणाला, “या सर्व मी पाळल्या आहेत. मी अजून कशात उणा आहे?”“All these I have kept,” said the young man. “What do I still lack?”

21येशू म्हणाले, “तू परिपूर्ण होऊ इच्छित असल्यास जा, तुझी मालमत्ता विकून टाक आणि गरिबांना वाटून दे आणि तुला स्वर्गात संपत्ती मिळेल. मग ये व मला अनुसर.”Jesus told him, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow Me.”

24मी पुन्हा सांगतो की, श्रीमंत मनुष्याला परमेश्वराच्या राज्यात प्रवेश करणे यापेक्षा उंटाला सुईच्या नाकातून जाणे सोपे आहे.”Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”

25येशूंच्या या विधानाने शिष्य गोंधळात पडले व त्यांनी विचारले, “मग कोणाचे तारण होऊ शकेल?”When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished and asked, “Who then can be saved?”

26येशूंनी त्यांच्याकडे पाहिले आणि म्हटले, “मानवाला हे अशक्य आहे, परंतु परमेश्वराला सर्वगोष्टी शक्य आहेत.”Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

27यावर पेत्र येशूंना म्हणाला, “आपल्याला अनुसरण्यासाठी आम्ही सर्वकाही सोडून दिले आहे; त्याच्या मोबदल्यात आम्हाला काय मिळेल?”“Look,” Peter replied, “we have left everything to follow You. What then will there be for us?”

29ज्या कोणी मला अनुसरण्यासाठी आपले घर, भाऊ बहीण, आई, पिता, पत्नी, मुले, मालमत्ता यांचा त्याग केला आहे, त्याला शंभरपट मोबदला तर मिळेलच, पण सार्वकालिक जीवनही मिळेल.And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or fields for the sake of My name will receive a hundredfold and will inherit eternal life.

30पण अनेकजण जे पहिले आहेत, ते शेवटचे होतील आणि जे शेवटचे आहेत ते पहिले होतील.”But many who are first will be last, and the last will be first.
