1हे जुलमी लोकांच्या नगरी, विद्रोही व भ्रष्ट नगरी, तुला धिक्कार असो!Woe to the city of oppressors, rebellious and defiled!

2ती कोणाचीही आज्ञा पाळत नाही, ती कोणतीही सुधारणा स्वीकारत नाही. ती याहवेहवर विश्वास ठेवीत नाही, ती तिच्या परमेश्वराच्या समीप जात नाही.She heeded no voice; she accepted no correction. She does not trust in the LORD; she has not drawn near to her God.

3तिच्यामध्ये असलेले तिचे अधिकारी गर्जना करणार्या सिंहासारखे आहेत; तिचे शासनकर्ते निशाचर लांडगे आहेत ते सकाळपर्यंत काहीही शिल्लक राहू देत नाहीत.Her princes are roaring lions; her judges are evening wolves, leaving nothing for the morning.

4तिचे संदेष्टे अधर्म करणारे आहेत; ते विश्वासघातकी लोक आहेत. तिचे याजक मंदिर अपवित्र करतात ते आज्ञेचे उल्लंघन करतात.Her prophets are reckless, faithless men. Her priests profane the sanctuary; they do violence to the law.

5परंतु तिच्यात असणारे याहवेह नीतिमान आहेत; ते काहीही अयोग्य करीत नाहीत. प्रतिदिन सकाळी ते त्यांचे न्यायदान करतात, आणि कोणत्याही नवदिनी ते असफल होत नाहीत, तरी अधर्म्यांना लाज काय ते ठाऊकच नाही.The LORD within her is righteous; He does no wrong. He applies His justice morning by morning; He does not fail at dawn, yet the unjust know no shame.

6“मी अनेक राष्ट्रांचा नाश केला; त्यांच्या गडांना उद्ध्वस्त केले आहे. मी त्यांचे रस्ते ओसाड केले आहेत तिथून कोणीही प्रवास करीत नाही. आणि त्यांची शहरे निर्जन केली आहेत; ते त्यागलेले व रिकामे झाले आहेत.“I have cut off the nations; their corner towers are destroyed. I have made their streets deserted with no one to pass through. Their cities are laid waste, with no man, no inhabitant.

7यरुशलेमबद्दल मी विचार केला, ‘निश्चितच तू माझे भय धरशील; आणि माझ्या सुधारणांचा स्वीकार करशील!’ तेव्हा तिचे आश्रयस्थान उद्ध्वस्त होणार नाही. माझ्या सर्व शिक्षा तिच्यावर येणार नाहीत, पण तरीही पूर्वीसारखीच भ्रष्टाचारी दुष्कर्मे करण्यास ती उत्सुक आहे.”I said, ‘Surely you will fear Me and accept correction.’ Then her dwelling place would not be cut off despite all for which I punished her. But they rose early to corrupt all their deeds.

8याहवेह जाहीर करतात, “म्हणून माझी वाट पाहा, त्या दिवशी मी दोषारोप करण्यास उभा राहीन. पृथ्वीवरील सर्व राज्ये व राष्ट्रे एकत्र करण्याचा मी निर्धार केला आहे आणि त्यांच्यावर माझ्या कोपाचा वर्षाव करेन; माझ्या अत्यंत तीव्र क्रोधाग्नीने आणि माझ्या ईर्षेच्या अग्नीने संपूर्ण विश्व जळून भस्म होईल.Therefore wait for Me,” declares the LORD, “until the day I rise to testify. For My decision is to gather nations, to assemble kingdoms, to pour out upon them My indignation—all My burning anger. For all the earth will be consumed by the fire of My jealousy.

9“मग मी त्यांच्या ओठांचे शुद्धीकरण करेन, असे की ते सर्व याहवेहच्या नामाचा धावा करतील आणि खांद्याला खांदा लावून त्यांची सेवा करतील.For then I will restore pure lips to the peoples, that all may call upon the name of the LORD and serve Him shoulder to shoulder.

10कूश देशाच्या नद्यांपलीकडून माझे उपासक, माझे विखुरलेले लोक माझ्यासाठी अर्पणे आणतील.From beyond the rivers of Cush My worshipers, My scattered people, will bring Me an offering.

11त्या दिवशी तू यरुशलेमा, माझ्याविरुद्ध जे काही दुष्कृत्य केलेस, त्याबद्दल तू लज्जित केली जाणार नाही, तेव्हा तू माझ्याविरुद्ध बंड करणारी अशी राहणारच नाहीस. कारण मी तुझ्यातील सर्व गर्वाने उन्मत्त झालेली माणसे काढून टाकेन. माझ्या पवित्र पर्वतावर पुन्हा कधीही गर्विष्ठपणा केला जाणार नाही.On that day you will not be put to shame for any of the deeds by which you have transgressed against Me. For then I will remove from among you those who rejoice in their pride, and you will never again be haughty on My holy mountain.

12मी तुझ्यामध्ये जे गरीब व दीन, असेच अवशिष्ट लोक ठेवेन. इस्राएलचे अवशिष्ट लोक असतील आणि ते याहवेहच्या नामात आश्रय घेतील.But I will leave within you a meek and humble people, and they will trust in the name of the LORD.

13इस्राएलमधील उरलेले कोणतेही दुष्कृत्य करणार नाहीत; ते असत्य बोलणार नाहीत. लबाडी करणारी जीभ त्यांच्या मुखात असणार नाही. ते अन्न सेवन करून विसावा घेतील आणि त्यांना कोणीही भीती दाखविणार नाही.”The remnant of Israel will no longer do wrong or speak lies, nor will a deceitful tongue be found in their mouths. But they will feed and lie down, with no one to make them tremble.”

14हे सीयोनकन्ये, तू गीत गा; हे इस्राएला, तू मोठ्याने गजर कर! अगे यरुशलेमकन्ये, अगदी मनापासून आनंद कर, उल्लास कर.Sing for joy, O Daughter of Zion; shout aloud, O Israel! Be glad and rejoice with all your heart, O Daughter of Jerusalem!

15कारण याहवेहने तुझी शिक्षा काढून घेतली आहे, तुझ्या शत्रूचे सैन्य परत गेले आहे. याहवेह, इस्राएलचे राजा तुझ्यासह आहेत; यापुढे हानीचे भय तू बाळगणार नाही.The LORD has taken away your punishment; He has turned back your enemy. Israel’s King, the LORD, is among you; no longer will you fear any harm.

16त्या दिवशी ते यरुशलेमला असे म्हणतील, “हे सीयोना, भिऊ नकोस, तुझे बाहू दुर्बल होऊ देऊ नकोस.On that day they will say to Jerusalem: “Do not fear, O Zion; do not let your hands fall limp.

17महाप्रतापी योद्धा जे रक्षणकर्ता आहेत, ते याहवेह तुझे परमेश्वर तुझ्यासह आहेत. त्यांना तुझ्यामुळे अत्यंत आनंद होतो; तुझ्यावरील प्रीतीमुळे ते तुजवर दोषारोपण करणार नाहीत. त्याऐवजी तुझ्याबद्दल ते गीत गाऊन उल्हास व्यक्त करतील.”The LORD your God is among you; He is mighty to save. He will rejoice over you with gladness; He will quiet you with His love; He will rejoice over you with singing.”

18“जे निर्धारित सण तुझ्याकरिता ओझे व कलंक आहेत, ते सण साजरे करता आले नाही म्हणून जे लोक शोक करतात, त्या सर्वांना मी तुझ्यामधून काढून टाकेन.“I will gather those among you who grieve over the appointed feasts, so that you will no longer suffer reproach.

19त्या समयी ज्यांनी तुझ्यावर जुलूम केला त्यांना मी अतिशय कडक शिक्षा करेन. त्या सर्वांचा मी जाब घेईन. जे लंगडे आहेत त्यांची मी सोडवणूक करेन; बंदिवासात गेलेल्यांना मी एकत्र करेन. जिथे ते लज्जित झाले त्या प्रत्येक भूमीवर त्यांना मी प्रशंसा व गौरव बहाल करेन.Behold, at that time, I will deal with all who afflict you. I will save the lame and gather the scattered; and I will appoint praise and fame for the disgraced throughout the earth.

20त्यावेळी मी तुम्हा सर्वांना एकत्र गोळा करेन; त्यावेळी मी तुम्हाला घरी परत आणेन. जेव्हा मी तुमची संपन्नता तुम्हाला परत देईन तेव्हा पृथ्वीवरील सर्व लोकांमध्ये, स्वतःच्या दृष्टीसमोर मी तुम्हाला गौरव व प्रशंसा बहाल करेन,” असे याहवेह म्हणतात.At that time I will bring you in; yes, at that time I will gather you. For I will give you fame and praise among all the peoples of the earth when I restore your captives before your very eyes,” says the LORD.
