1. 1MKWBeto ke na kuzabisa beno mambu yina me tadila Ndinga yina ke pesaka luzingu. Ndinga yina vwandaka katuka mbandukulu ya bima nyonso. Beto kuwaka yandi mpe talaka yandi. Beto sikikaka meso ya beto na yandi, mpe beto simbaka yandi na maboko ya beto.BSBBSB: That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our own eyes, which we have gazed upon and touched with our own hands—this is the Word of life.
2. 2MKWYa tsyelika, luzingu yina talanaka. Beto talaka yawu, mpe beto kele bambangi ya yawu. And this fellowship of ours is with the Father and with His Son, Jesus Christ.
4. 4MKWBeto ke na kusonikina beno mambu yayi, samu ti kilengi ya beto vwanda ya kulunga.BSBBSB: We write these things so that our joy may be complete.
5. 5MKWMambu yina beto kuwaka na sika ya Yesu-Klisto, mpe yina beto ke na kuzabisa beno, ni yayi: «Nzambi kele nsemo, mpe ata mpimpa kele na kati ya yandi.»BSBBSB: And this is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you: God is light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.
6. 6MKWKana beto ke tubaka ti beto kele kintwadi na yandi, kasi beto ke zingaka na mpimpa, beto kele bantu ya luvunu mpe beto ke sadilaka ve butsyelika.BSBBSB: If we say we have fellowship with Him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.
7. 7MKWKana beto ke zingaka na kati ya nsemo mutindu yandi mosi Nzambi kele nsemo, beto kele na kintwadi na bampangi, mpe menga ya Mwana ya yandi, Yesu, ke vedisaka beto na masumu nyonso.BSBBSB: But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.
8. 8MKWKana beto ke tubaka ti beto kele ve na masumu, beto ke vunaka banzutu ya beto mosi, mpe beto kele ve na butsyelika.BSBBSB: If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9. 9MKWNzambi ke lungisaka mambu yina yandi pesaka nsilulu, mpe yandi kele ya kudedama. Na yina, kana beto fungula masumu ya beto, yandi ke lemvokila beto masumu mpe ke vedisa beto na yimbi nyonso.BSBBSB: If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10. 10MKWKana beto ke tubaka ti beto kele ve na masumu, beto ke kumisaka Nzambi muntu ya luvunu, mpe mambu ya yandi kele ve na kati ya bantima ya beto.BSBBSB: If we say we have not sinned, we make Him out to be a liar, and His word is not in us.
