1. 1MKWMambu yina Yave Mfumu lakisaka munu na lumoni ni yayi: Mu talaka Yave basisaka makonko mingi na ntangu yina matiti bandaka na kumena dyaka. Ya vwandaka matiti ya malu-malu yina ke basikaka na manima ya kuzenga matiti yina ba ke pesaka na ntinu.BSBBSB: This is what the Lord GOD showed me: He was preparing swarms of locusts just after the king’s harvest, as the late spring crop was coming up.
2. 2MKWMutindu makonko vwandaka manisa na kudya matiti nyonso ya yinsi, mu tubaka: «Yave Mfumu, mulemvo ya nge, mu ke na kulomba na nge, lemvokila bawu. Yakobi kele na ngolo ve, wapi mutindu Yakobi ke lenda na kuvibidila?»BSBBSB: And when the locusts had eaten every green plant in the land, I said, “Lord GOD, please forgive! How will Jacob survive, since he is so small?”
3. 3MKWNa yina, Yave sobaka mabanza mpe yandi tubaka: «Mambu yayi ke salama ve.»BSBBSB: So the LORD relented from this plan. “It will not happen,” He said.
4. 4MKWYave Mfumu lakisaka munu mambu yayi: Na kati ya lumoni, mu talaka Yave Mfumu vwandaka fundisa na tiya. Tiya yango yumisaka maza ya yisi ya ntoto mpe yawu nyengisaka yinsi ya Isayeli.BSBBSB: This is what the Lord GOD showed me: The Lord GOD was calling for judgment by fire. It consumed the great deep and devoured the land.
5. 5MKWNa yina, mu tubaka: «Yave Mfumu ya munu, mu ke na kulomba na nge, kusala yawu ve. Yakobi kele na ngolo ve, wapi mutindu Yakobi ke lenda na kuvibidila?»BSBBSB: Then I said, “Lord GOD, please stop! How will Jacob survive, since he is so small?”
6. 6MKWNa yina, Yave sobaka mabanza mpe yandi tubaka: «Mambu yayi ke salama ve.»BSBBSB: So the LORD relented from this plan. “It will not happen either,” said the Lord GOD.
7. 7MKWMfumu lakisaka dyaka munu mambu yayi: Na kati ya lumoni, mu talaka Mfumu ya kutelama pene-pene ya kibaka, yandi vwandaka ya kusimba singa.BSBBSB: This is what He showed me: Behold, the Lord was standing by a wall true to plumb, with a plumb line in His hand.

9. 9MKW«Mu ke mwangisa bisika ya lusambulu ya Isaki, bisika ya yandi ya lusambulu yina kele na zulu ya myongo. Mu ke bebisa bisika ya lusambulu ya Isayeli. Mu ke nwanisa dikanda ya ntinu Yelobowame na mbele ya mvita.»BSBBSB: The high places of Isaac will be deserted, and the sanctuaries of Israel will be laid waste; and I will rise up against the house of Jeroboam with My sword.”
10. 10MKWAmasya, yina vwandaka nganga-Nzambi ya Betele, fidisaka bantu na kwenda zabisa na Yelobowame, ntinu ya Isayeli mutindu yayi: «Amose ke na kusosa kubwisa kimfumu ya nge na yinsi ya Isayeli. Bantu ke na kulenda dyaka ve na kuwa mambu nyonso ya Amose.»BSBBSB: Then Amaziah the priest of Bethel sent word to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying, “Amos has conspired against you in the midst of the house of Israel. The land cannot bear all his words,
11. 11MKWYandi ke na kutuba mutindu yayi: «Ba ke kufwa Yelobowame na mbele ya mvita mpe ba ke nata bantu ya Isayeli ntama na ntoto ya bawu.»BSBBSB: for this is what Amos has said: ‘Jeroboam will die by the sword, and Israel will surely go into exile, away from their homeland.’”
12. 12MKWAmasya tubaka na Amose: «Nge yina ke talaka mambu, katuka awa, kwenda bumbama na yinsi ya Yuda. Kuna nge ke kuzwa luzingu ya nge na kwendaka bikula.BSBBSB: And Amaziah said to Amos, “Go away, you seer! Flee to the land of Judah; earn your bread there and do your prophesying there.
13. 13MKWKasi kutatamana dyaka ve na kubikula awa na Betele, samu ti ya kele kivinga ya longo ya ntinu, kisika ya lusambulu samu na yinsi nyonso ya kintinu.»BSBBSB: But never prophesy at Bethel again, because it is the sanctuary of the king and the temple of the kingdom.”
14. 14MKWAmose vutulaka na Amasya mutindu yayi: «Mu vwandaka ve mumbikudi to kilandi ya mumbikudi, mu vwandaka ya munu nkebi ya bangombe mpe mu vwandaka kunda bayinti ya sikomole.BSBBSB: “I was not a prophet,” Amos replied, “nor was I the son of a prophet; rather, I was a herdsman and a tender of sycamore-fig trees.
15. 15MKWKasi Yave bakaka munu ntangu yina mu vwandaka keba bibulu mpe yandi tubaka na munu: “kwenda bikula na Isayeli, bantu ya munu.”BSBBSB: But the LORD took me from following the flock and said to me, ‘Go, prophesy to My people Israel.’
16. 16MKWKasi na ntangu yayi, kuwa mambu ya Yave, nge yina me tuba na munu mutindu yayi: “Kubikula ve na Isayeli. Kuzonzila ve mambu yina me tadila dikanda ya Isaki!”»BSBBSB: Now, therefore, hear the word of the LORD. You say: ‘Do not prophesy against Israel; do not preach against the house of Isaac.’
17. 17MKWYave ke na kutuba mutindu yayi: «Kento ya nge ke banda na kusala kindumba na kati ya mbanza. Bana ya nge ya bakento mpe ya babakala ke kufwa na mbele ya mvita. Ntoto ya nge, ba ke kabula yawu na bantu ya nkaka. Nge ke kufwa na ntoto ya kusumuka, mpe ba ke nata bantu ya Isayeli na yinsi ya nzenza.»BSBBSB: Therefore this is what the LORD says: ‘Your wife will become a prostitute in the city, and your sons and daughters will fall by the sword. Your land will be divided by a measuring line, and you yourself will die on pagan soil. And Israel will surely go into exile, away from their homeland.’”
