There were 24,000 men in each division:

For because of this census wrath came upon Israel, and the number was not entered in the Book of the Chronicles of King David.

33അഹീഥോഫെൽ രാജമന്ത്രി; അർഖ്യനായ ഹൂശായി രാജമിത്രം.Ahithophel was the king’s counselor. Hushai the Archite was the king’s friend.

34അഹീഥോഫെലിന്റെ ശേഷം ബെനായാവിന്റെ മകനായ യെഹോയാദയും അബ്യാഥാരും മന്ത്രികൾ; രാജാവിന്റെ സേനാധിപതി യോവാബ്.Ahithophel was succeeded by Jehoiada son of Benaiah, then by Abiathar. Joab was the commander of the king’s army.
