1യഹോവ ദാവീദിനെ സകലശത്രുക്കളുടെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നും ശൗലിന്റെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നും വിടുവിച്ച ദിവസം അവൻ യഹോവക്ക് ഈ കീർത്തനം ചൊല്ലിയതെന്തെന്നാൽ:And David sang this song to the LORD on the day the LORD had delivered him from the hand of all his enemies and from the hand of Saul.

2“യഹോവ എന്റെ പാറയും എന്റെ കോട്ടയും എന്റെ രക്ഷകനും ആകുന്നു.He said: “The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer.

3എന്റെ ബലമായ ദൈവം; അങ്ങയിൽ ഞാൻ ആശ്രയിക്കും; എന്റെ പരിചയും എന്റെ രക്ഷയായ കൊമ്പും എന്റെ അഭയസ്ഥാനവും എന്റെ കോട്ടയും തന്നെ. എന്റെ രക്ഷിതാവേ, അങ്ങ് എന്നെ അക്രമത്തിൽനിന്ന് രക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.My God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation. My stronghold, my refuge, and my Savior, You save me from violence.

4സ്തുതിക്കപ്പെടുവാൻ യോഗ്യനായ യഹോവയെ ഞാൻ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിക്കും; എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളിൽനിന്ന് അവിടുന്ന് എന്നെ രക്ഷിക്കും.I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised; so shall I be saved from my enemies.

5മരണത്തിന്റെ തിരമാല എന്നെ വളഞ്ഞു; ദുഷ്ടതയുടെ കുത്തൊഴുക്കുകൾ എന്നെ ഭയപ്പെടുത്തി;For the waves of death engulfed me; the torrents of chaos overwhelmed me.

6പാതാളപാശങ്ങൾ എന്നെ ചുറ്റി; മരണത്തിന്റെ കെണികൾ എന്റെമേൽ വീണു.The cords of Sheol entangled me; the snares of death confronted me.

7എന്റെ കഷ്ടതയിൽ ഞാൻ യഹോവയെ വിളിച്ചു, എന്റെ ദൈവത്തോടുതന്നെ നിലവിളിച്ചു, അവിടുന്ന് അവിടുത്തെ ആലയത്തിൽനിന്ന് എന്റെ അപേക്ഷ കേട്ടു; എന്റെ നിലവിളി അവിടുത്തെ ചെവികളിൽ എത്തി.In my distress I called upon the LORD; I cried out to my God. And from His temple He heard my voice, and my cry for help reached His ears.

8അവിടുന്ന് കോപിക്കയാൽ ഭൂമി ഞെട്ടി വിറച്ചു, ആകാശത്തിന്റെ അടിസ്ഥാനങ്ങൾ ഇളകി, അവ കുലുങ്ങിപ്പോയി.Then the earth shook and quaked; the foundations of the heavens trembled; they were shaken because He burned with anger.

9അവിടുത്തെ മൂക്കിൽനിന്നു പുക പൊങ്ങി, അവിടുത്തെ വായിൽനിന്നു ദഹിപ്പിക്കുന്ന തീ പുറപ്പെട്ടു, തീക്കനൽ അവനിൽനിന്നു ജ്വലിച്ചു.Smoke rose from His nostrils, and consuming fire came from His mouth; glowing coals blazed forth.

10അവിടുന്ന് ആകാശം ചായിച്ചിറങ്ങി; കൂരിരുൾ അവിടുത്തെ കാല്ക്കീഴുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.He parted the heavens and came down with dark clouds beneath His feet.

11അവിടുന്ന് ഒരു കെരൂബിന്മേലേറി പറന്നു, കാറ്റിൻ ചിറകിന്മേൽ അവിടുന്ന് പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി.He mounted a cherub and flew; He soared on the wings of the wind.

12അവിടുന്ന് അന്ധകാരം അവിടുത്തേക്കു ചുറ്റും മണ്ഡപമാക്കി; ആകാശത്തിലെ ഇരുണ്ട വെള്ളങ്ങളും കനത്ത മേഘങ്ങളും കൂടെ.He made darkness a canopy around Him, a gathering of water and thick clouds.

13അവിടുത്തെ മുമ്പിലുള്ള പ്രകാശത്താൽ തീക്കനൽ ജ്വലിച്ചു.From the brightness of His presence coals of fire blazed forth.

14യഹോവ ആകാശത്തിൽ ഇടിമുഴക്കി, അത്യുന്നതൻ അവിടുത്തെ ശബ്ദം കേൾപ്പിച്ചു.The LORD thundered from heaven; the voice of the Most High resounded.

15അവിടുന്ന് അമ്പ് എയ്ത് അവരെ ചിതറിച്ചു, മിന്നൽ അയച്ച് അവരെ തോല്പിച്ചു.He shot His arrows and scattered the foes; He hurled lightning and routed them.

16യഹോവയുടെ ശാസനയാൽ, തിരുമൂക്കിലെ ശ്വാസത്തിന്റെ ഊത്തിനാൽ കടലിന്റെ ചാലുകൾ കാണപ്പെട്ടു ഭൂതലത്തിന്റെ അടിസ്ഥാനങ്ങൾ വെളിപ്പെട്ടു.The channels of the sea appeared, and the foundations of the world were exposed at the rebuke of the LORD, at the blast of the breath of His nostrils.

17അവിടുന്ന് ഉയരത്തിൽനിന്നു കൈനീട്ടി എന്നെ പിടിച്ചു, പെരുവെള്ളത്തിൽനിന്ന് എന്നെ വലിച്ചെടുത്തു.He reached down from on high and took hold of me; He drew me out of deep waters.

18അവിടുന്ന് എന്റെ ബലമുള്ള ശത്രുവിൽനിന്നും എന്നെ പകച്ചവരിൽനിന്നും എന്നെ വിടുവിച്ചു; അവർ എന്നിലും ബലമേറിയവർ ആയിരുന്നു.He rescued me from my powerful enemy, from foes too mighty for me.

19എന്റെ അനർത്ഥദിവസത്തിൽ അവർ എന്നെ ആക്രമിച്ചു; എന്നാൽ യഹോവ എനിക്ക് തുണയായിരുന്നു.They confronted me in my day of calamity, but the LORD was my support.

20അവിടുന്ന് എന്നെ വിശാലതയിലേക്ക് കൊണ്ടുവന്നു, എന്നിൽ പ്രസാദിച്ചിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ട് എന്നെ വിടുവിച്ചു.He brought me out into the open; He rescued me because He delighted in me.

21യഹോവ എന്റെ നീതിക്കു തക്കവണ്ണം എനിക്കു പ്രതിഫലം നല്കി, എന്റെ കൈകളുടെ വെടിപ്പിനൊത്തവണ്ണം എനിക്കു പകരം തന്നു.The LORD has rewarded me according to my righteousness; He has repaid me according to the cleanness of my hands.

22ഞാൻ യഹോവയുടെ വഴികളെ പ്രമാണിച്ചു, എന്റെ ദൈവത്തോട് ദ്രോഹം ചെയ്തതുമില്ല.For I have kept the ways of the LORD and have not wickedly departed from my God.

23അവിടുത്തെ വിധികൾ ഒക്കെയും എന്റെ മുമ്പിലുണ്ട്; അവിടുത്തെ ചട്ടങ്ങളിൽനിന്ന് ഞാൻ വിട്ടുനടന്നിട്ടുമില്ല.For all His ordinances are before me; I have not disregarded His statutes.

24ഞാൻ അവിടുത്തെ മുമ്പാകെ നിഷ്കളങ്കനായിരുന്നു, അകൃത്യം ചെയ്യാതെ ഞാൻ എന്നെ തന്നെ കാത്തു.And I have been blameless before Him and kept myself from iniquity.

25യഹോവ എന്റെ നീതിക്കു തക്കവണ്ണവും അവിടുത്തെ കാഴ്ചയിൽ എന്റെ നിർമലതയ്ക്കൊത്തവണ്ണവും എനിക്കു പകരം നല്കി.So the LORD has repaid me according to my righteousness, according to my cleanness in His sight.

26ദയാലുവോട് അങ്ങ് ദയാലുവാകുന്നു; നിഷ്കളങ്കനോട് അങ്ങ് നിഷ്കളങ്കൻ.To the faithful You show Yourself faithful, to the blameless You show Yourself blameless;

27നിർമ്മലനോട് അങ്ങ് നിർമ്മലനാകുന്നു; വക്രനോട് അങ്ങ് വക്രത കാണിക്കുന്നു.to the pure You show Yourself pure, but to the crooked You show Yourself shrewd.

28താഴ്മയുള്ള ജനത്തെ അങ്ങ് രക്ഷിക്കും; നിഗളിച്ചു നടക്കുന്നവരെ താഴ്ത്തേണ്ടതിന് അങ്ങ് അവരുടെമേൽ ദൃഷ്ടിവയ്ക്കുന്നു.You save an afflicted people, but Your eyes are on the haughty to bring them down.

29യഹോവേ, അങ്ങ് എന്റെ ദീപം ആകുന്നു; യഹോവ എന്റെ അന്ധകാരത്തെ പ്രകാശമാക്കും.For You, O LORD, are my lamp; the LORD lights up my darkness.

30നിന്നാൽ ഞാൻ പടക്കൂട്ടത്തിന്റെ നേരെ പാഞ്ഞുചെല്ലും; എന്റെ ദൈവത്താൽ ഞാൻ മതിൽ ചാടിക്കടക്കും.For in You I can charge an army; with my God I can scale a wall.

31ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വഴി പൂർണ്ണതയുള്ളത്, യഹോവയുടെ വചനം ഊതിക്കഴിച്ചത്; അവിടുത്തെ ശരണമാക്കുന്ന ഏവർക്കും അവിടുന്ന് പരിച ആകുന്നു.As for God, His way is perfect; the word of the LORD is flawless. He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him.

32യഹോവയല്ലാതെ ദൈവം ആരുള്ളു? നമ്മുടെ ദൈവം ഒഴികെ പാറ ആരുള്ളു?For who is God besides the LORD? And who is the Rock except our God?

33ദൈവം എന്റെ ബലവും ശക്തിയും ആകുന്നു, അവിടുന്ന് എന്റെ വഴി കുറ്റമറ്റതാക്കുന്നു.God is my strong fortress, and He makes my way clear.

34അവിടുന്ന് എന്റെ കാലുകളെ മാൻപേടക്കാലുകൾക്ക് തുല്യമാക്കി എന്റെ ഉയർന്ന തലങ്ങളിൽ എന്നെ നില്ക്കുമാറാക്കുന്നു.He makes my feet like those of a deer and stations me upon the heights.

35അവിടുന്ന് എന്റെ കൈകൾക്ക് യുദ്ധ പരിശീലനം നൽകുന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ട് എന്റെ കൈകൾക്ക് താമ്രംകൊണ്ടുള്ള വില്ല് കുലയ്ക്കാം.He trains my hands for battle; my arms can bend a bow of bronze.

36അങ്ങയുടെ രക്ഷ എന്ന പരിചയും അങ്ങ് എനിക്ക് തന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; അങ്ങയുടെ സൗമ്യത എന്നെ വലിയവനാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.You have given me Your shield of salvation, and Your gentleness exalts me.

37ഞാൻ കാലടിവയ്ക്കേണ്ടതിന് അങ്ങ് വിശാലത വരുത്തി; എന്റെ പാദങ്ങൾ വഴുതിപ്പോയതുമില്ല.You broaden the path beneath me so that my ankles do not give way.

38ഞാൻ എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളെ പിന്തുടർന്ന് നശിപ്പിച്ചു അവർ നശിക്കുവോളം ഞാൻ പിന്തിരിഞ്ഞില്ല.I pursued my enemies and destroyed them; I did not turn back until they were consumed.

39അവർ എഴുന്നേല്ക്കാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന് ഞാൻ അവരെ നശിപ്പിക്കുകയും മുറിപ്പെടുത്തുകയും ചെയ്തു, അവർ എന്റെ കാല്ക്കീഴിൽ വീണിരിക്കുന്നു.I devoured and crushed them so they could not rise; they have fallen under my feet.

40യുദ്ധത്തിനായി നീ എന്റെ അരയ്ക്ക് ശക്തി കെട്ടിയിരിക്കുന്നു; എനിക്കെതിരെ എഴുന്നേറ്റവരെ അങ്ങ് എനിക്ക് കീഴടക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.You have armed me with strength for battle; You have subdued my foes beneath me.

41എന്നെ വെറുക്കുന്നവരെ ഞാൻ നശിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന് അങ്ങ് എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളുടെ കഴുത്തും എനിക്ക് തന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.You have made my enemies retreat before me; I destroyed those who hated me.

42അവർ ചുറ്റും നോക്കിയെങ്കിലും രക്ഷിപ്പാൻ ആരും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല; യഹോവയിങ്കലേക്കു നോക്കി, അവിടുന്ന് അവർക്ക് ഉത്തരം അരുളിയതുമില്ല.They looked, but there was no one to save them—to the LORD, but He did not answer.

43ഞാൻ അവരെ നിലത്തിലെ പൊടിപോലെ പൊടിച്ചു, വീഥികളിലെ ചെളിയെപ്പോലെ ഞാൻ അവരെ ചവിട്ടി ചിതറിച്ചു.I ground them as the dust of the earth; I crushed and trampled them like mud in the streets.

44എന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ കലഹങ്ങളിൽനിന്നും അങ്ങ് എന്നെ വിടുവിച്ചു, ജാതികൾക്ക് എന്നെ തലവനാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ അറിയാത്ത ജനം എന്നെ സേവിക്കും.You have delivered me from the strife of my people; You have preserved me as the head of nations; a people I had not known shall serve me.

45അന്യജാതിക്കാർ എനിക്ക് കീഴപ്പെടും; അവർ കേട്ട ഉടൻതന്നെ എന്നെ അനുസരിക്കും.Foreigners cower before me; when they hear me, they obey me.

46അന്യജാതിക്കാർ ക്ഷയിച്ചുപോകുന്നു; തങ്ങളുടെ ദുർഗ്ഗങ്ങളിൽനിന്ന് അവർ വിറച്ചുംകൊണ്ട് വരുന്നു.Foreigners lose heart and come trembling from their strongholds.

47യഹോവ ജീവിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ പാറ വാഴ്ത്തപ്പെട്ടവൻ. എൻ രക്ഷയുടെ പാറയായ ദൈവം ഉന്നതൻ തന്നെ.The LORD lives, and blessed be my Rock! And may God, the Rock of my salvation, be exalted—

48എനിക്കുവേണ്ടി പ്രതികാരം ചെയ്യുന്നവനും ജനങ്ങളെ എനിക്ക് കീഴാക്കുന്നവനും ദൈവം തന്നെ.the God who avenges me and brings down nations beneath me,

49അവിടുന്ന് എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളിൽനിന്ന് എന്നെ വിടുവിക്കുന്നു; എനിക്കെതിരെ എഴുന്നേൽക്കുന്നവർക്കു മീതെ അങ്ങ് എന്നെ ഉയർത്തുന്നു; അക്രമിയിൽനിന്ന് അങ്ങ് എന്നെ വിടുവിക്കുന്നു.who frees me from my enemies. You exalt me above my foes; You rescue me from violent men.

50അതുകൊണ്ട്, യഹോവേ, ഞാൻ ജാതികളുടെ മദ്ധ്യേ അങ്ങയ്ക്ക് സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്യും, അങ്ങയുടെ നാമത്തെ ഞാൻ കീർത്തിക്കും.Therefore I will praise You, O LORD, among the nations; I will sing praises to Your name.

51അവിടുന്ന് തന്റെ രാജാവിന് രക്ഷാഗോപുരം ആകുന്നു; അവിടുത്തെ അഭിഷിക്തനു ദയ കാണിക്കുന്നു; ദാവീദിനും അവന്റെ സന്തതിക്കും എന്നെന്നേക്കും തന്നെ.”Great salvation He brings to His king. He shows loving devotion to His anointed, to David and his descendants forever.”
