1 ULB യഹോവയായ കർത്താവ് എനിക്ക് കാണിച്ചു തന്നതെന്തെന്നാൽ: വിള രണ്ടാമത് മുളച്ചു തുടങ്ങിയപ്പോൾ അവിടുന്ന് വിട്ടിലുകളെ ഒരുക്കി: അത് രാജാവിന്റെ വക വിളവെടുത്തശേഷം മുളച്ച രണ്ടാമത്തെ വിള ആയിരുന്നു. BSB BSB: This is what the Lord GOD showed me: He was preparing swarms of locusts just after the king’s harvest, as the late spring crop was coming up.

BSB BSB: And when the locusts had eaten every green plant in the land, I said, “Lord GOD, please forgive! How will Jacob survive, since he is so small?”

BSB BSB: This is what the Lord GOD showed me: The Lord GOD was calling for judgment by fire. It consumed the great deep and devoured the land.
5 ULB അപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ: “യഹോവയായ കർത്താവേ, മതിയാക്കണമേ; യാക്കോബിന് എങ്ങനെ നിലനിൽക്കാൻ കഴിയും? അവൻ ചെറിയവനല്ലോ” എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു. BSB BSB: Then I said, “Lord GOD, please stop! How will Jacob survive, since he is so small?”

7 ULB അവിടുന്ന് എനിക്ക് കാണിച്ചുതന്നതെന്തെന്നാൽ: തൂക്കുകട്ട ഉപയോഗിച്ച് പണിത ഒരു മതിലിന്മേൽ കർത്താവ് കൈയിൽ തൂക്കുകട്ട പിടിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് നിന്നു. BSB BSB: This is what He showed me: Behold, the Lord was standing by a wall true to plumb, with a plumb line in His hand.
8 ULB യഹോവ എന്നോട്: “ആമോസേ, നീ എന്ത് കാണുന്നു” എന്ന് ചോദിച്ചതിന് “ഒരു തൂക്കുകട്ട” എന്ന് ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞു. അതിന് കർത്താവ്: “ഞാൻ എന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ നടുവിൽ ഒരു തൂക്കുകട്ട പിടിക്കും; ഞാൻ ഇനി അവരെ ശിക്ഷിക്കാതെ വിടുകയില്ല; BSB BSB: “Amos, what do you see?” asked the LORD. “A plumb line,” I replied. “Behold,” said the Lord, “I am setting a plumb line among My people Israel; I will no longer spare them:
9 ULB യിസ്ഹാക്കിന്റെ പൂജാഗിരികൾ പാഴും യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരങ്ങൾ ശൂന്യവുമായിത്തീരും; ഞാൻ യൊരോബെയാംഗൃഹത്തിനു വിരോധമായി വാളുമായി എഴുന്നേൽക്കും” എന്ന് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു. BSB BSB: The high places of Isaac will be deserted, and the sanctuaries of Israel will be laid waste; and I will rise up against the house of Jeroboam with My sword.”

BSB BSB: Then Amaziah the priest of Bethel sent word to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying, “Amos has conspired against you in the midst of the house of Israel. The land cannot bear all his words,
11 ULB ‘യൊരോബെയാം വാൾകൊണ്ടു മരിക്കും; യിസ്രായേൽ സ്വദേശം വിട്ട് പ്രവാസത്തിലേക്കു പോകേണ്ടിവരും’ എന്നിങ്ങനെ ആമോസ് പറയുന്നു” എന്ന് പറയിച്ചു. BSB BSB: for this is what Amos has said: ‘Jeroboam will die by the sword, and Israel will surely go into exile, away from their homeland.’”

14 ULB അതിന് ആമോസ് അമസ്യാവിനോട്: “ഞാൻ പ്രവാചകനല്ല, പ്രവാചകശിഷ്യനുമല്ല, ഇടയനും കാട്ടത്തിപ്പഴം പെറുക്കുന്നവനും അത്രേ. BSB BSB: “I was not a prophet,” Amos replied, “nor was I the son of a prophet; rather, I was a herdsman and a tender of sycamore-fig trees.

16 ULB “ആകയാൽ നീ യഹോവയുടെ വചനം കേൾക്കുക: ‘യിസ്രായേലിനെക്കുറിച്ച് പ്രവചിക്കരുത്; യിസ്‌ഹാക്ക്ഗൃഹത്തിനു വിരോധമായി നീ പ്രസംഗിക്കരുത്’ എന്ന് നീ പറയുന്നുവല്ലോ”. BSB BSB: Now, therefore, hear the word of the LORD. You say: ‘Do not prophesy against Israel; do not preach against the house of Isaac.’
17 ULB “അതുകൊണ്ട് യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ‘നിന്റെ ഭാര്യ നഗരത്തിൽ വേശ്യയാകും; നിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരും പുത്രിമാരും വാൾകൊണ്ടു വീഴും; നിന്റെ ദേശം അളവുനൂൽകൊണ്ട് വിഭാഗിക്കപ്പെടും; നീയോ ഒരു അശുദ്ധദേശത്തുവച്ച് മരിക്കും; യിസ്രായേൽ സ്വദേശം വിട്ടു പ്രവാസത്തിലേക്കു പോകേണ്ടിവരും”. BSB BSB: Therefore this is what the LORD says: ‘Your wife will become a prostitute in the city, and your sons and daughters will fall by the sword. Your land will be divided by a measuring line, and you yourself will die on pagan soil. And Israel will surely go into exile, away from their homeland.’”
