BSB BSB: Listen, a tumult on the mountains, like that of a great multitude! Listen, an uproar among the kingdoms, like nations gathered together! The LORD of Hosts is mobilizing an army for war.
5 ULB ദേശത്തെ മുഴുവനും നശിപ്പിക്കുവാൻ ദൂരദേശത്തുനിന്നും ആകാശത്തിന്റെ അറ്റത്തുനിന്നും യഹോവയും അവന്റെ കോപത്തിന്റെ ആയുധങ്ങളും വരുന്നു. BSB BSB: They are coming from faraway lands, from the ends of the heavens—the LORD and the weapons of His wrath—to destroy the whole country.
6 ULB യഹോവയുടെ ദിവസം സമീപിച്ചിരിക്കുകകൊണ്ട് നിലവിളിക്കുവിൻ; അതു സർവ്വശക്തനിൽനിന്നു സർവ്വനാശംപോലെ വരുന്നു. BSB BSB: Wail, for the Day of the LORD is near; it will come as destruction from the Almighty.
7 ULB അതുകൊണ്ട് എല്ലാകൈകളും തളർന്നുപോകും; സകലഹൃദയവും ഉരുകിപ്പോകും. BSB BSB: Therefore all hands will fall limp, and every man’s heart will melt.
8 ULB അവർ ഭ്രമിച്ചുപോകും; വേദനയും ദുഃഖവും അവർക്കു പിടിപെടും; നോവു കിട്ടിയ സ്ത്രീയെപ്പോലെ അവർ വേദനപ്പെടും; അവർ അന്യോന്യം തുറിച്ചുനോക്കും; അവരുടെ മുഖം ജ്വലിച്ചിരിക്കും. BSB BSB: Terror, pain, and anguish will seize them; they will writhe like a woman in labor. They will look at one another, their faces flushed with fear.
9 ULB ദേശത്തെ ശൂന്യമാക്കുവാനും പാപികളെ അതിൽനിന്നു മുടിച്ചുകളയുവാനും യഹോവയുടെ ദിവസം ക്രൂരമായി ക്രോധത്തോടും അതികോപത്തോടും കൂടി വരുന്നു. BSB BSB: Behold, the Day of the LORD is coming—cruel, with fury and burning anger—to make the earth a desolation and to destroy the sinners within it.
10 ULB ആകാശത്തിലെ നക്ഷത്രങ്ങളും നക്ഷത്രസമൂഹങ്ങളും പ്രകാശം തരുകയില്ല; സൂര്യൻ ഉദയത്തിങ്കൽത്തന്നെ ഇരുണ്ടുപോകും; ചന്ദ്രൻ പ്രകാശം നല്കുകയുമില്ല. BSB BSB: For the stars of heaven and their constellations will not give their light. The rising sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light.
11 ULB ഞാൻ ഭൂതലത്തെ ദോഷംനിമിത്തവും ദുഷ്ടന്മാരെ അവരുടെ അകൃത്യംനിമിത്തവും ശിക്ഷിക്കും; അഹങ്കാരികളുടെ ഗർവ്വത്തെ ഞാൻ ഇല്ലാതാക്കും; ഉഗ്രന്മാരുടെ നിഗളത്തെ താഴ്ത്തും. BSB BSB: I will punish the world for its evil and the wicked for their iniquity. I will end the haughtiness of the arrogant and lay low the pride of the ruthless.
12 ULB ഞാൻ ഒരു പുരുഷനെ തങ്കത്തെക്കാളും ഒരു മനുഷ്യനെ ഓഫീർതങ്കത്തെക്കാളും വിരളമാക്കും. BSB BSB: I will make man scarcer than pure gold, and mankind rarer than the gold of Ophir.
13 ULB അങ്ങനെ ഞാൻ ആകാശത്തെ നടുങ്ങുമാറാക്കും; സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയുടെ ക്രോധത്തിലും അവന്റെ ഉഗ്രകോപത്തിന്റെ നാളിലും ഭൂമി അതിന്റെ സ്ഥാനത്തുനിന്ന് ഇളകിപ്പോകും; BSB BSB: Therefore I will make the heavens tremble, and the earth will be shaken from its place at the wrath of the LORD of Hosts on the day of His burning anger.

17 ULB ഞാൻ മേദ്യരെ അവർക്കു വിരോധമായി ഉണർത്തും; അവർ വെള്ളിയെ കാര്യമാക്കുകയില്ല; പൊന്നിൽ അവർക്കു താത്പര്യവുമില്ല. BSB BSB: Behold, I will stir up against them the Medes, who have no regard for silver and no desire for gold.

22 ULB അവരുടെ അരമനകളിൽ ചെന്നായ്ക്കളും അവരുടെ മനോഹരമന്ദിരങ്ങളിൽ കുറുനരികളും ഓരിയിടും; അതിന്റെ സമയം അടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; അതിന്റെ കാലം ദീർഘിച്ചുപോവുകയുമില്ല. BSB BSB: Hyenas will howl in her fortresses and jackals in her luxurious palaces. Babylon’s time is at hand, and her days will not be prolonged.
