1 ULB രക്ഷിക്കുവാൻ കഴിയാത്തവിധം യഹോവയുടെ കൈ കുറുകീട്ടില്ല; കേൾക്കുവാൻ കഴിയാത്തവിധം അവന്റെ ചെവി മന്ദമായിട്ടുമില്ല. BSB BSB: Surely the arm of the LORD is not too short to save, nor His ear too dull to hear.
2 ULB നിങ്ങളുടെ അകൃത്യങ്ങൾ അത്രേ നിങ്ങളെയും നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവത്തെയും തമ്മിൽ ഭിന്നിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്; നിങ്ങളുടെ പാപങ്ങൾ അത്രേ അവൻ കേൾക്കാത്തവിധം അവന്റെ മുഖത്തെ നിങ്ങൾക്കു മറയ്ക്കുമാറാക്കിയത്. BSB BSB: But your iniquities have built barriers between you and your God, and your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He does not hear.
3 ULB നിങ്ങളുടെ കൈകൾ രക്തംകൊണ്ടും നിങ്ങളുടെ വിരലുകൾ അകൃത്യംകൊണ്ടും മലിനമായിരിക്കുന്നു; നിങ്ങളുടെ അധരങ്ങൾ ഭോഷ്കു സംസാരിക്കുന്നു; നിങ്ങളുടെ നാവു നീതികേടു ജപിക്കുന്നു. BSB BSB: For your hands are stained with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, and your tongue mutters injustice.
4 ULB ഒരുത്തനും നീതിയോടെ വ്യവഹരിക്കുന്നില്ല; ഒരുത്തനും സത്യത്തോടെ പ്രതിവാദിക്കുന്നില്ല; അവർ വ്യാജത്തിൽ ആശ്രയിച്ചു ഭോഷ്കു സംസാരിക്കുന്നു; അവർ തിന്മയെ ഗർഭംധരിച്ചു നീതികേടിനെ പ്രസവിക്കുന്നു. BSB BSB: No one calls for justice; no one pleads his case honestly. They rely on empty pleas; they tell lies; they conceive mischief and give birth to iniquity.
5 ULB അവർ അണലിമുട്ടയ്ക്ക് അടയിരിക്കുകയും ചിലന്തിവല നെയ്യുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു; ആ മുട്ട തിന്നുന്നവൻ മരിക്കും; പൊട്ടിച്ചാൽ അണലി പുറത്തുവരുന്നു. BSB BSB: They hatch the eggs of vipers and weave a spider’s web. Whoever eats their eggs will die; crack one open, and a viper is hatched.
6 ULB അവർ നെയ്തതു വസ്ത്രത്തിനു കൊള്ളുകയില്ല; അവരുടെ പണി അവർക്കു പുതപ്പാവുകയും ഇല്ല; അവരുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികൾ നീതികെട്ട പ്രവൃത്തികൾ; അക്രമപ്രവൃത്തികൾ അവരുടെ കൈക്കൽ ഉണ്ട്. BSB BSB: Their cobwebs cannot be made into clothing, and they cannot cover themselves with their works. Their deeds are sinful deeds, and acts of violence are in their hands.

BSB BSB: Their feet run to evil; they are swift to shed innocent blood. Their thoughts are sinful thoughts; ruin and destruction lie in their wake.
8 ULB സമാധാനത്തിന്റെ വഴി അവർ അറിയുന്നില്ല; അവരുടെ നടപ്പിൽ ന്യായവും ഇല്ല; അവർ അവർക്കായി വളഞ്ഞ പാതകളെ ഉണ്ടാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു; അവയിൽ നടക്കുന്നവനൊരുത്തനും സമാധാനം അറിയുകയില്ല. BSB BSB: The way of peace they have not known, and there is no justice in their tracks. They have turned them into crooked paths; no one who treads on them will know peace.
9 ULB അതുകൊണ്ടു ന്യായം ഞങ്ങളോട് അകന്നു ദൂരെയായിരിക്കുന്നു; നീതി ഞങ്ങളോട് എത്തിക്കൊള്ളുന്നതുമില്ല; ഞങ്ങൾ പ്രകാശത്തിനായിട്ടു കാത്തിരുന്നു; എന്നാൽ ഇതാ, ഇരുട്ട്; വെളിച്ചത്തിനായിട്ടു കാത്തിരുന്നു; എന്നാൽ ഇതാ അന്ധകാരത്തിൽ ഞങ്ങൾ നടക്കുന്നു. BSB BSB: Therefore justice is far from us, and righteousness does not reach us. We hope for light, but there is darkness; for brightness, but we walk in gloom.

BSB BSB: Like the blind, we feel our way along the wall, groping like those without eyes. We stumble at midday as in the twilight; among the vigorous we are like the dead.

BSB BSB: For our transgressions are multiplied before You, and our sins testify against us. Our transgressions are indeed with us, and we know our iniquities:
13 ULB അതിക്രമം ചെയ്തു യഹോവയെ നിഷേധിക്കുക, ഞങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവത്തെ വിട്ടുമാറുക, പീഡനവും മത്സരവും സംസാരിക്കുക, വ്യാജവാക്കുകളെ ഗർഭംധരിച്ചു ഹൃദയത്തിൽനിന്നു ഉച്ചരിക്കുക എന്നിവ തന്നെ. BSB BSB: rebelling and denying the LORD, turning away from our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering lies from the heart.
14 ULB അങ്ങനെ ന്യായം പിന്മാറി നീതി അകന്നുനില്ക്കുന്നു; സത്യം വീഥിയിൽ ഇടറുന്നു; നേരിനു കടക്കുവാൻ കഴിയുന്നതുമില്ല. BSB BSB: So justice is turned away, and righteousness stands at a distance. For truth has stumbled in the public square, and honesty cannot enter.
15 ULB സത്യം കാണാതെയായി; ദോഷം വിട്ടകലുന്നവൻ കവർച്ചയായി ഭവിക്കുന്നു; യഹോവ അതു കണ്ടിട്ടു ന്യായം ഇല്ലായ്കനിമിത്തം അവിടുത്തേക്കു അനിഷ്ടം തോന്നുന്നു. BSB BSB: Truth is missing, and whoever turns from evil becomes prey. The LORD looked and was displeased that there was no justice.
16 ULB ആരും ഇല്ലെന്ന് അവിടുന്ന് കണ്ടു പക്ഷവാദം ചെയ്യുവാൻ ആരും ഇല്ലായ്കയാൽ ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെട്ടു; അതുകൊണ്ട് അവിടുത്തെ ഭുജം തന്നെ അവിടുത്തേക്കു രക്ഷവരുത്തി, അവന്റെ നീതി അവനെ താങ്ങി. BSB BSB: He saw that there was no man; He was amazed that there was no one to intercede. So His own arm brought salvation, and His own righteousness sustained Him.
17 ULB അവൻ നീതി ഒരു കവചംപോലെ ധരിച്ചു രക്ഷ എന്ന പടത്തൊപ്പി തലയിൽ ഇട്ടു; അവൻ പ്രതികാരവസ്ത്രങ്ങൾ ഉടുത്തു, തീക്ഷ്ണത ഒരു മേലങ്കിപോലെ പുതച്ചു. BSB BSB: He put on righteousness like a breastplate, and the helmet of salvation on His head; He put on garments of vengeance and wrapped Himself in a cloak of zeal.
18 ULB അവരുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികൾക്കു തക്കവിധം അവിടുന്ന് പകരം ചെയ്യും; അവിടുത്തെ വൈരികൾക്കു ക്രോധവും അവിടുത്തെ ശത്രുക്കൾക്കു പ്രതികാരവും തന്നെ; ദ്വീപുവാസികളോട് അവൻ പകരംവീട്ടും. BSB BSB: So He will repay according to their deeds: fury to His enemies, retribution to His foes, and recompense to the islands.
19 ULB അങ്ങനെ അവർ പടിഞ്ഞാറ് യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തെയും കിഴക്ക് അവിടുത്തെ മഹത്ത്വത്തെയും ഭയപ്പെടും; കെട്ടിനിന്നതും യഹോവയുടെ ശ്വാസം തള്ളിപ്പായിക്കുന്നതുമായ ഒരു നദിപോലെ അവിടുന്ന് വരും. BSB BSB: So shall they fear the name of the LORD where the sun sets, and His glory where it rises. For He will come like a raging flood, driven by the breath of the LORD.
20 ULB എന്നാൽ “സീയോനും യാക്കോബിൽ അതിക്രമം വിട്ടുതിരിയുന്നവർക്കും അവൻ വീണ്ടെടുപ്പുകാരനായി വരും” എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാട്. BSB BSB: “The Redeemer will come to Zion, to those in Jacob who turn from transgression,” declares the LORD.
21 ULB “ഞാൻ അവരോടു ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്ന നിയമം ഇതാകുന്നു” എന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: “നിന്റെമേലുള്ള എന്റെ ആത്മാവും നിന്റെ വായിൽ ഞാൻ തന്ന എന്റെ വചനങ്ങളും നിന്റെ വായിൽനിന്നും നിന്റെ സന്തതിയുടെ വായിൽനിന്നും നിന്റെ സന്തതിയുടെ സന്തതിയുടെ വായിൽനിന്നും ഇന്നുമുതൽ ഒരുനാളും വിട്ടുപോകുകയില്ല” എന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു. BSB BSB: “As for Me, this is My covenant with them,” says the LORD. “My Spirit will not depart from you, and My words that I have put in your mouth will not depart from your mouth or from the mouths of your children and grandchildren, from now on and forevermore,” says the LORD.
