2 ULB യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: “നീ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിന്റെ പ്രാകാരത്തിൽ നിന്നുകൊണ്ട്, യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിൽ നമസ്കരിക്കുവാൻ വരുന്ന സകല യെഹൂദാപട്ടണങ്ങളോടും പ്രസ്താവിക്കുവാൻ, ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു കല്പിക്കുന്ന സകല വചനങ്ങളും അവരോടു പ്രസ്താവിക്കുക; ഒരു വാക്കും വിട്ടുകളയരുത്. BSB BSB: “This is what the LORD says: Stand in the courtyard of the house of the LORD and speak all the words I have commanded you to speak to all the cities of Judah who come to worship there. Do not omit a word.

5 ULB ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ മുമ്പിൽ വച്ച എന്റെ ന്യായപ്രമാണം അനുസരിച്ചുനടക്കുവാനും നിങ്ങൾ എന്റെ വാക്കു കേൾക്കുകയില്ലെങ്കിൽ, BSB BSB: and if you do not listen to the words of My servants the prophets, whom I have sent you again and again even though you did not listen,
6 ULB ഞാൻ ഈ ആലയത്തെ ശീലോവിനു തുല്യമാക്കി, ഈ നഗരത്തെ ഭൂമിയിലുള്ള സകല ജനതകൾക്കും ഇടയിൽ ശാപയോഗ്യമാക്കിത്തീർക്കും. BSB BSB: then I will make this house like Shiloh, and I will make this city an object of cursing among all the nations of the earth.’”
7 ULB യിരെമ്യാവ് ഈ വാക്കുകൾ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിൽവച്ചു പറയുന്നത് പുരോഹിതന്മാരും പ്രവാചകന്മാരും സകലജനവും കേട്ടു. BSB BSB: Now the priests and prophets and all the people heard Jeremiah speaking these words in the house of the LORD,
8 ULB എന്നാൽ സകലജനത്തോടും പ്രസ്താവിക്കുവാൻ യഹോവ കല്പിച്ചിരുന്ന സകലവും യിരെമ്യാവ് പ്രസ്താവിച്ചുതീർന്നശേഷം, പുരോഹിതന്മാരും പ്രവാചകന്മാരും സകലജനവും അവനെ പിടിച്ചു: ‘നീ മരിക്കണം നിശ്ചയം; BSB BSB: and as soon as he had finished telling all the people everything the LORD had commanded him to say, the priests and prophets and all the people seized him, shouting, “You must surely die!
9 ULB ഈ ആലയം ശീലോവിനു തുല്യമാകും, ഈ നഗരം നിവാസികൾ ഇല്ലാതെ ശൂന്യമാകും’ എന്ന് നീ യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തിൽ പ്രവചിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതെന്ത്” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞ് ജനമെല്ലാം യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിൽ യിരെമ്യാവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു കൂടി. BSB BSB: How dare you prophesy in the name of the LORD that this house will become like Shiloh and this city will be desolate and deserted!” And all the people assembled against Jeremiah in the house of the LORD.
10 ULB ഈ കാര്യം യെഹൂദാപ്രഭുക്കന്മാർ കേട്ടപ്പോൾ, അവർ രാജാവിന്റെ അരമനയിൽ നിന്ന് യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിലേക്കു കയറിച്ചെന്ന്, യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിന്റെ പുതിയ പടിവാതിലിന്റെ പ്രവേശനത്തിൽ ഇരുന്നു. BSB BSB: When the officials of Judah heard these things, they went up from the king’s palace to the house of the LORD and sat there at the entrance of the New Gate.
11 ULB പുരോഹിതന്മാരും പ്രവാചകന്മാരും, പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരോടും സകലജനത്തോടും: “ഈ മനുഷ്യൻ മരണയോഗ്യൻ; അവൻ ഈ നഗരത്തിനു വിരോധമായി പ്രവചിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത് നിങ്ങൾ സ്വന്തചെവികൊണ്ടു കേട്ടുവല്ലോ” എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു. BSB BSB: Then the priests and prophets said to the officials and all the people, “This man is worthy of death, for he has prophesied against this city, as you have heard with your own ears!”
12 ULB അതിന് യിരെമ്യാവ് സകലപ്രഭുക്കന്മാരോടും സർവ്വജനത്തോടും പറഞ്ഞത്: “നിങ്ങൾ കേട്ടതായ വാക്കുകളെല്ലാം ഈ ആലയത്തിനും നഗരത്തിനും വിരോധമായി പ്രവചിക്കുവാൻ യഹോവ എന്നെ അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. BSB BSB: But Jeremiah said to all the officials and all the people, “The LORD sent me to prophesy against this house and against this city all the words that you have heard.
13 ULB അതിനാൽ നിങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങളുടെ നടപ്പും പ്രവൃത്തികളും നല്ലതാക്കി, നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ വാക്കു കേട്ട് അനുസരിക്കുവിൻ; എന്നാൽ യഹോവ നിങ്ങൾക്കു വിരോധമായി അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്ന അനർത്ഥത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു അനുതപിക്കും. BSB BSB: So now, correct your ways and deeds, and obey the voice of the LORD your God, so that He might relent of the disaster He has pronounced against you.
14 ULB ഞാൻ, ഇതാ നിങ്ങളുടെ കൈയിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നു; നിങ്ങൾക്ക് ഇഷ്ടവും ന്യായവുമായി തോന്നുന്നതുപോലെ എന്നോടു ചെയ്തുകൊള്ളുവിൻ. BSB BSB: As for me, here I am in your hands; do to me what you think is good and right.
15 ULB എങ്കിലും നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ കൊന്നുകളഞ്ഞാൽ, കുറ്റമില്ലാത്ത രക്തം നിങ്ങളുടെ മേലും ഈ നഗരത്തിന്മേലും അതിലെ നിവാസികളുടെ മേലും നിങ്ങൾ വരുത്തും എന്ന് അറിഞ്ഞുകൊള്ളുവിൻ; നിങ്ങൾ കേൾക്കെ ഈ വാക്കുകൾ മുഴുവനും പ്രസ്താവിക്കേണ്ടതിന് യഹോവ എന്നെ നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കൽ അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു സത്യം. BSB BSB: But know for certain that if you put me to death, you will bring innocent blood upon yourselves, upon this city, and upon its residents; for truly the LORD has sent me to speak all these words in your hearing.”
16 ULB അപ്പോൾ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും സകലജനവും പുരോഹിതന്മാരോടും പ്രവാചകന്മാരോടും: “ഈ മനുഷ്യൻ മരണയോഗ്യനല്ല; അവൻ നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തിൽ അല്ലയോ നമ്മോട് സംസാരിക്കുന്നത്” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. BSB BSB: Then the officials and all the people told the priests and prophets, “This man is not worthy of death, for he has spoken to us in the name of the LORD our God!”
17 ULB അതിനുശേഷം ദേശത്തിലെ മൂപ്പന്മാരിൽ ചിലർ എഴുന്നേറ്റ് ജനത്തിന്റെ സർവ്വസംഘത്തോടും പറഞ്ഞത്: BSB BSB: Some of the elders of the land stood up and said to the whole assembly of the people,
18 ULB “യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ ഹിസ്കീയാവിന്റെ കാലത്ത് മോരേശേത്തിലെ മീഖായാവ് സകല യെഹൂദാജനത്തോടും പ്രവചിച്ചു: “സീയോനെ വയൽ പോലെ ഉഴുതുകളയും; യെരൂശലേം കല്ക്കുന്നായിത്തീരും; ഈ ആലയം നില്ക്കുന്ന പർവ്വതം വനത്തിലെ ഗിരിപ്രദേശമായി തീരും എന്നിങ്ങനെ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. BSB BSB: “Micah the Moreshite prophesied in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah and told all the people of Judah that this is what the LORD of Hosts says: ‘Zion will be plowed like a field, Jerusalem will become a heap of rubble, and the temple mount a wooded ridge.’
19 ULB യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ ഹിസ്കീയാവും സകല യെഹൂദയും അവനെ കൊന്നുകളഞ്ഞുവോ? അവൻ യഹോവയെ ഭയപ്പെട്ട്, യഹോവയോട് ക്ഷമ യാചിക്കുകയും താൻ അവർക്കു വരുത്തുമെന്ന് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരുന്ന അനർത്ഥത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് യഹോവ അനുതപിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തില്ലയോ? എന്നാൽ നാം നമ്മുടെ പ്രാണന് വലിയ ഒരു അനർത്ഥം വരുത്തുവാൻ പോകുന്നു”. BSB BSB: Did Hezekiah king of Judah or anyone else in Judah put him to death? Did Hezekiah not fear the LORD and seek His favor, and did not the LORD relent of the disaster He had pronounced against them? But we are about to bring great harm on ourselves!”
20 ULB അങ്ങനെ തന്നെ കിര്യത്ത്-യെയാരീമിൽനിന്നുള്ള ശെമയ്യാവിന്റെ മകനായ ഊരീയാവ് എന്നൊരുവൻ യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തിൽ പ്രവചിച്ചു; അവൻ യിരെമ്യാവിന്റെ വാക്കുകൾക്കു സമമായ കാര്യങ്ങൾ ഈ നഗരത്തിനും ഈ ദേശത്തിനും വിരോധമായി പ്രവചിച്ചു. BSB BSB: Now there was another man prophesying in the name of the LORD, Uriah son of Shemaiah from Kiriath-jearim. He prophesied against this city and against this land the same things that Jeremiah did.
21 ULB യെഹോയാക്കീംരാജാവും അവന്റെ സകലയുദ്ധവീരന്മാരും സകലപ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും അവന്റെ വാക്കുകൾ കേട്ടു; രാജാവ് അവനെ കൊന്നുകളയുവാൻ വിചാരിച്ചു; ഊരീയാവ് അതു കേട്ട് ഭയപ്പെട്ട് ഈജിപ്റ്റിലേക്ക് ഓടിപ്പോയി. BSB BSB: King Jehoiakim and all his mighty men and officials heard his words, and the king sought to put him to death. But when Uriah found out about it, he fled in fear and went to Egypt.
22 ULB യെഹോയാക്കീംരാജാവ് അഖ്ബോരിന്റെ മകനായ എൽനാഥാനെയും അവനോടുകൂടി മറ്റു ചിലരെയും ഈജിപ്റ്റിലേക്ക് അയച്ചു. BSB BSB: Then King Jehoiakim sent men to Egypt: Elnathan son of Achbor along with some other men.
23 ULB അവർ ഊരീയാവിനെ ഈജിപ്റ്റിൽനിന്ന് യെഹോയാക്കീംരാജാവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു; അവൻ അവനെ വാൾകൊണ്ടു കൊന്ന് അവന്റെ ശവം സാമാന്യജനത്തിന്റെ ശ്മശാനത്തിൽ ഇട്ടുകളഞ്ഞു. BSB BSB: They brought Uriah out of Egypt and took him to King Jehoiakim, who had him put to the sword and his body thrown into the burial place of the common people.
24 ULB എന്നാൽ യിരെമ്യാവിനെ ജനത്തിന്റെ കൈയിൽ ഏല്പിച്ച് കൊല്ലാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന് ശാഫാന്റെ മകനായ അഹീക്കാം അവന് തുണയായിരുന്നു. BSB BSB: Nevertheless, Ahikam son of Shaphan supported Jeremiah, so he was not handed over to the people to be put to death.
