BSB BSB: So Jephthah went with the elders of Gilead, and the people made him their leader and commander. And Jephthah repeated all his terms in the presence of the LORD at Mizpah.

BSB BSB: Then Jephthah sent messengers to the king of the Ammonites, saying, “What do you have against me that you have come to fight against my land?”

BSB BSB: Then Israel sent messengers to the king of Edom, saying, ‘Please let us pass through your land,’ but the king of Edom would not listen. They also sent messengers to the king of Moab, but he would not consent. So Israel stayed in Kadesh.

BSB BSB: Then Israel traveled through the wilderness and bypassed the lands of Edom and Moab. They came to the east side of the land of Moab and camped on the other side of the Arnon. But they did not enter the territory of Moab, since the Arnon was its border.

BSB BSB: And Israel sent messengers to Sihon king of the Amorites, who ruled in Heshbon, and said to him, ‘Please let us pass through your land into our own place.’

BSB BSB: But Sihon would not trust Israel to pass through his territory. So he gathered all his people, encamped in Jahaz, and fought with Israel.

BSB BSB: Then the LORD, the God of Israel, delivered Sihon and all his people into the hand of Israel, who defeated them. So Israel took possession of all the land of the Amorites who inhabited that country,
22 ULB അർന്നോൻ മുതൽ യബ്ബോക് വരെയും മരുഭൂമിമുതൽ യോർദ്ദാൻവരെയുമുള്ള അമോര്യരുടെ ദേശം ഒക്കെയും അവർ അധീനപ്പെടുത്തി. BSB BSB: seizing all the land from the Arnon to the Jabbok and from the wilderness to the Jordan.
23 ULB യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ തന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ നിന്ന് അമോര്യരെ നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞിരിക്കെ നീ അത് വീണ്ടും കൈവശമാക്കുവാൻ പോകുന്നുവോ? BSB BSB: Now since the LORD, the God of Israel, has driven out the Amorites from before His people Israel, should you now possess it?
24 ULB നിന്റെ ദേവനായ കെമോശ് അവകാശമായി തരുന്ന ദേശത്തെ നീ അനുഭവിക്കയില്ലയോ? അങ്ങനെ തന്നെ ഞങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് തരുന്ന അവകാശം ഞങ്ങളും അനുഭവിക്കും. BSB BSB: Do you not possess whatever your god Chemosh grants you? So also, we possess whatever the LORD our God has granted us.
25 ULB സിപ്പോരിന്റെ മകൻ ബാലാക്ക് എന്ന മോവാബ്‌രാജാവിനെക്കാൾ നീ യോഗ്യനോ? അവൻ യിസ്രായേലിനോട് എപ്പോഴെങ്കിലും മൽസരിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടോ? യുദ്ധം ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ടോ? BSB BSB: Are you now so much better than Balak son of Zippor, king of Moab? Did he ever contend with Israel or fight against them?
26 ULB യിസ്രായേൽ ഹെശ്ബോനിലും അരോവേരിലും അവയുടെ ഗ്രാമങ്ങളിലും അർന്നോൻതീരത്തുള്ള എല്ലാ പട്ടണങ്ങളിലും മുന്നൂറു വർഷങ്ങളോളം പാർത്തിരിക്കെ,ആ കാലയളവിനുള്ളിൽ നിങ്ങൾ അവയെ എന്തുകൊണ്ട് വീണ്ടെടുത്തില്ല? BSB BSB: For three hundred years Israel has lived in Heshbon, Aroer, and their villages, as well as all the cities along the banks of the Arnon. Why did you not take them back during that time?
27 ULB ആകയാൽ ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു അന്യായം ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ല; എന്നോട് യുദ്ധം ചെയ്യുന്നതിനാൽ നീ ആകുന്നു അന്യായം ചെയ്യുന്നത്; യഹോവ എന്ന ന്യായാധിപതി ഇന്ന് യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളുടെയും അമ്മോന്യരുടെയും മദ്ധ്യേ ന്യായം വിധിക്കട്ടെ. BSB BSB: I have not sinned against you, but you have done me wrong by waging war against me. May the LORD, the Judge, decide today between the Israelites and the Ammonites.”
28 ULB എന്നാൽ യിഫ്താഹിന്റെ വാക്കുകൾ അമ്മോന്യരുടെ രാജാവ് വകവച്ചില്ല. BSB BSB: But the king of the Ammonites paid no heed to the message Jephthah sent him.

BSB BSB: then whatever comes out the door of my house to greet me on my triumphant return from the Ammonites will belong to the LORD, and I will offer it up as a burnt offering.”
32 ULB ഇങ്ങനെ യിഫ്താഹ് അമ്മോന്യരോട് യുദ്ധംചെയ്‌വാൻ അവരുടെ നേരെ ചെന്നു; യഹോവ അവരെ അവന്റെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിച്ചു. BSB BSB: So Jephthah crossed over to the Ammonites to fight against them, and the LORD delivered them into his hand.
33 ULB അവൻ അരോവേർ മുതൽ മിന്നീത്തോളവും, ആബേൽ-കെരാമീം വരെയും ഒരു മഹാസംഹാരം നടത്തി; ഇരുപത് പട്ടണം ജയിച്ചടക്കി. BSB BSB: With a great blow he devastated twenty cities from Aroer to the vicinity of Minnith, as far as Abel-keramim. So the Ammonites were subdued before the Israelites.

You have brought great misery upon me, for I have given my word to the LORD and cannot take it back.”

BSB BSB: “My father,” she replied, “you have given your word to the LORD. Do to me as you have said, for the LORD has avenged you of your enemies, the Ammonites.”
