BSB BSB: Her foes have become her masters; her enemies are at ease. For the LORD has brought her grief because of her many transgressions. Her children have gone away as captives before the enemy.

BSB BSB: All the splendor has departed from the Daughter of Zion. Her princes are like deer that find no pasture; they lack the strength to flee in the face of the hunter.

Her enemies looked upon her, laughing at her downfall.

BSB BSB: The adversary has seized all her treasures. For she has seen the nations enter her sanctuary—those You had forbidden to enter Your assembly.

BSB BSB: All her people groan as they search for bread. They have traded their treasures for food to keep themselves alive. Look, O LORD, and consider, for I have become despised.

13 ULB “ഉയരത്തിൽനിന്ന് അവിടുന്ന് എന്റെ അസ്ഥികളിൽ തീ അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അത് കടന്നുപിടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ കാലിന് അവിടുന്ന് വല വിരിച്ച്, എന്നെ മടക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു; അവിടുന്ന് എന്നെ ശൂന്യയും നിത്യരോഗിണിയും ആക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു”. BSB BSB: He sent fire from on high, and it overpowered my bones. He spread a net for my feet and turned me back. He made me desolate, faint all the day long.
14 ULB “എന്റെ അതിക്രമങ്ങളുടെ നുകം അവിടുന്ന് സ്വന്തകയ്യാൽ യോജിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവ എന്റെ കഴുത്തിൽ അമർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; അവിടുന്ന് എന്റെ ശക്തി ക്ഷയിപ്പിച്ചു; എനിക്ക് എതിർത്തുനില്പാൻ കഴിയാത്തവരുടെ കയ്യിൽ കർത്താവ് എന്നെ ഏല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു”. BSB BSB: My transgressions are bound into a yoke, knit together by His hand; they are draped over my neck, and the Lord has broken my strength. He has delivered me into the hands of those I cannot withstand.
15 ULB “എന്റെ നടുവിലെ സകല ബലവാന്മാരെയും കർത്താവ് നിരസിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു; എന്റെ യൌവനക്കാരെ തകർത്തുകളയേണ്ടതിന് അവൻ എന്റെ നേരെ ഒരു ഉത്സവയോഗം വിളിച്ചുകൂട്ടി; യെഹൂദാപുത്രിയായ കന്യകയെ കർത്താവ് ചക്കിൽ ഇട്ട് ചവിട്ടിക്കളഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു”. BSB BSB: The Lord has rejected all the mighty men in my midst; He has summoned an army against me to crush my young warriors. Like grapes in a winepress, the Lord has trampled the Virgin Daughter of Judah.
16 ULB “ഇത് നിമിത്തം ഞാൻ കരയുന്നു; എന്റെ കണ്ണ് കണ്ണുനീരൊഴുക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ പ്രാണനെ തണുപ്പിക്കേണ്ട ആശ്വാസപ്രദൻ എന്നോട് അകന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; ശത്രു പ്രബലനായിരിക്കയാൽ എന്റെ മക്കൾ നശിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു”. BSB BSB: For these things I weep; my eyes flow with tears. For there is no one nearby to comfort me, no one to revive my soul. My children are destitute because the enemy has prevailed.
17 ULB സീയോൻ കൈ നീട്ടുന്നു; അവളെ ആശ്വസിപ്പിപ്പാൻ ആരുമില്ല; യഹോവ യാക്കോബിന് അവന്റെ ചുറ്റും വൈരികളെ കല്പിച്ചാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു; യെരൂശലേം അവരുടെ ഇടയിൽ മലിനയായിരിക്കുന്നു. BSB BSB: Zion stretches out her hands, but there is no one to comfort her. The LORD has decreed against Jacob that his neighbors become his foes. Jerusalem has become an unclean thing among them.
18 ULB “യഹോവ നീതിമാൻ; ഞാൻ അവിടുത്തെ കല്പനയോട് മത്സരിച്ചു; സകലജാതികളുമായുള്ളോരേ, കേൾക്കേണമേ, എന്റെ വ്യസനം കാണേണമേ; എന്റെ കന്യകമാരും യൌവനക്കാരും പ്രവാസത്തിലേയ്ക്ക് പോയിരിക്കുന്നു”. BSB BSB: The LORD is righteous, yet I rebelled against His command. Listen, all you people; look upon my suffering. My young men and maidens have gone into captivity.
19 ULB “ഞാൻ എന്റെ പ്രിയന്മാരെ വിളിച്ചു; അവരോ എന്നെ ചതിച്ചു; എന്റെ പുരോഹിതന്മാരും മൂപ്പന്മാരും വിശപ്പടക്കേണ്ടതിന് ആഹാരം തേടിനടക്കുമ്പോൾ നഗരത്തിൽവച്ച് പ്രാണനെ വിട്ടു”. BSB BSB: I called out to my lovers, but they have betrayed me. My priests and elders perished in the city while they searched for food to keep themselves alive.
20 ULB “യഹോവേ, നോക്കേണമേ; ഞാൻ വിഷമത്തിലായി, എന്റെ ഉള്ളം കലങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ കഠിനമായി മത്സരിക്കകൊണ്ട് എന്റെ ഹൃദയം എന്റെ ഉള്ളിൽ അസ്വസ്ഥമായിരിക്കുന്നു; പുറമേ വാൾ സന്തതിനാശം വരുത്തുന്നു; വീട്ടിലോ മരണം തന്നെ”. BSB BSB: See, O LORD, how distressed I am! I am churning within; my heart is pounding within me, for I have been most rebellious. Outside, the sword bereaves; inside, there is death.
21 ULB “ഞാൻ നെടുവീർപ്പിടുന്നത് അവർ കേട്ടു; എന്നെ ആശ്വസിപ്പിപ്പാൻ ആരുമില്ല; എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളൊക്കെയും എന്റെ അനർത്ഥം കേട്ട്, അവിടുന്ന് അത് വരുത്തിയതുകൊണ്ട് സന്തോഷിക്കുന്നു; അവിടുന്ന് കല്പിച്ച ദിവസം അങ്ങ് വരുത്തും; അന്ന് അവരും എന്നെപ്പോലെയാകും”. BSB BSB: People have heard my groaning, but there is no one to comfort me. All my enemies have heard of my trouble; they are glad that You have caused it. May You bring the day You have announced, so that they may become like me.
22 ULB “അവരുടെ ദുഷ്ടതയൊക്കെയും തിരുമുമ്പിൽ വരട്ടെ; എന്റെ സകല അതിക്രമങ്ങളും നിമിത്തം അങ്ങ് എന്നോട് ചെയ്തതുപോലെ അവരോടും ചെയ്യേണമേ; എന്റെ നെടുവീർപ്പ് വളരെയല്ലോ; എന്റെ ഹൃദയം തളർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു”. BSB BSB: Let all their wickedness come before You, and deal with them as You have dealt with me because of all my transgressions. For my groans are many, and my heart is faint.
