1അവർ ഒരുക്കിയ സുഗന്ധവർഗ്ഗം എടുത്തു കൊണ്ട് ആഴ്ചവട്ടത്തിന്റെ ഒന്നാം ദിവസം അതികാലത്ത് കല്ലറയ്ക്കൽ എത്തി,On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women came to the tomb, bringing the spices they had prepared.

4അതിനെക്കുറിച്ച് അവർ അമ്പരന്നിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ മിന്നുന്ന വസ്ത്രം ധരിച്ച രണ്ടു പുരുഷന്മാർ അരികെ നില്ക്കുന്നതു കണ്ട്.While they were puzzling over this, suddenly two men in radiant apparel stood beside them.

9കല്ലറ വിട്ടു മടങ്ങിപ്പോയി പതിനൊന്നു ശിഷ്യർ മുതലായ എല്ലാവരോടും ഇതു ഒക്കെയും അറിയിച്ചു.And when they returned from the tomb, they reported all these things to the Eleven and to all the others.

15സംസാരിച്ചും ചോദിച്ചും കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ യേശുവും അടുത്തുചെന്ന് അവരോട് ചേർന്നുനടന്നു.And as they talked and deliberated, Jesus Himself came up and walked along with them.

16യേശുവിനെ തിരിച്ചറിയാതിരിക്കാനായി അവരുടെ കണ്ണ് മറച്ചിരുന്നു.But their eyes were kept from recognizing Him.

17അവൻ അവരോട്: നിങ്ങൾ വഴിനടന്നു തമ്മിൽ തർക്കിക്കുന്ന ഈ കാര്യം എന്ത് എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു; അവർ വാടിയ മുഖത്തോടെ നിന്നു.He asked them, “What are you discussing so intently as you walk along?” They stood still, with sadness on their faces.

25അവൻ അവരോട്: “അയ്യോ, ബുദ്ധിഹീനരേ, പ്രവാചകന്മാർ പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നത് എല്ലാം വിശ്വസിക്കാത്ത മന്ദബുദ്ധികളേ,Then Jesus said to them, “O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken!

26ക്രിസ്തു ഇങ്ങനെ കഷ്ടം അനുഭവിച്ചിട്ട് തന്റെ മഹത്വത്തിൽ പ്രവേശിക്കേണ്ടതല്ലയോ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു,Was it not necessary for the Christ to suffer these things and then to enter His glory?”

27മോശെ തുടങ്ങി എല്ലാ പ്രവാചകന്മാരിൽ നിന്നും എല്ലാ തിരുവെഴുത്തുകളിലും തന്നെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ളത് യേശു അവർക്ക് വ്യക്തമാക്കി കൊടുത്തു.And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, He explained to them what was written in all the Scriptures about Himself.

28അവർക്ക് പോകേണ്ടിയിരുന്ന ഗ്രാമത്തോട് അടുത്തപ്പോൾ യേശു മുമ്പോട്ടു പോകുന്ന ഭാവം കാണിച്ചു.As they approached the village where they were headed, He seemed to be going farther.

29അവരോ: ഞങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ താമസിക്കുക; നേരം വൈകി അസ്തമിക്കാറായല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവനെ നിബ്ബന്ധിച്ചു; അവൻ അവരോടുകൂടെ താമസിക്കുവാൻ ചെന്ന്.But they pleaded with Him, “Stay with us, for it is nearly evening and the day is almost over.” So He went in to stay with them.

30അവരുമായി ഭക്ഷണത്തിന് ഇരിക്കുമ്പോൾ യേശു അപ്പം എടുത്തു അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു നുറുക്കി അവർക്ക് കൊടുത്തു.While He was reclining at the table with them, He took bread, spoke a blessing and broke it, and gave it to them.

31ഉടനെ അവരുടെ കണ്ണ് തുറന്നു അവർ യേശുവിനെ തിരിച്ചറിഞ്ഞു; അവൻ അവർക്ക് അപ്രത്യക്ഷനായിThen their eyes were opened and they recognized Jesus—and He disappeared from their sight.

32അവൻ വഴിയിൽ നമ്മോടു സംസാരിച്ചു തിരുവെഴുത്തുകളെ വ്യക്തമാക്കുമ്പോൾ നമ്മുടെ ഹൃദയം നമ്മുടെ ഉള്ളിൽ കത്തിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നില്ലയോ എന്നു അവർ തമ്മിൽ പറഞ്ഞു.They asked each other, “Were not our hearts burning within us as He spoke with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?”

33അപ്പോൾ തന്നേ അവർ എഴുന്നേറ്റ് യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിപ്പോന്നു.And they got up that very hour and returned to Jerusalem. There they found the Eleven and those with them, gathered together

34കർത്താവ് നിശ്ചയമായി ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേറ്റു ശിമോന് പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി എന്നു കൂടിയിരുന്നു പറയുന്ന പതിനൊന്നു ശിഷ്യരെയും കൂടെയുള്ളവരെയും കണ്ട്.and saying, “The Lord has indeed risen and has appeared to Simon!”

35വഴിയിൽ വച്ച് സംഭവിച്ചതും അവൻ അപ്പം നുറുക്കിയപ്പോൾ തങ്ങൾക്കു യേശുവിനെ മനസ്സിലായതും അവർ വിവരിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞു.Then the two told what had happened on the road, and how they had recognized Jesus in the breaking of the bread.

36ഇങ്ങനെ അവർ സംസാരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ യേശു അവരുടെ നടുവിൽ നിന്നു: നിങ്ങൾക്ക് സമാധാനം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.While they were describing these events, Jesus Himself stood among them and said, “Peace be with you.”

37അവർ ഞെട്ടി ഭയപ്പെട്ടു; ഒരു ഭൂതത്തെ കാണുന്നു എന്നു അവർക്ക് തോന്നി.But they were startled and frightened, thinking they had seen a spirit.

38അവൻ അവരോട്: നിങ്ങൾ ഭയക്കുന്നതു എന്തിനാണ്? നിങ്ങൾ സംശയിക്കുന്നത് എന്താണ്?“Why are you troubled,” Jesus asked, “and why do doubts arise in your hearts?

39ഞാൻ തന്നെ ആകുന്നു എന്നു എന്റെ കയ്യും കാലും നോക്കി മനസ്സിലാക്കുവിൻ; എന്നെ തൊട്ടുനോക്കുവിൻ; എന്നിൽ കാണുന്നതുപോലെ ഭൂതത്തിന് മാംസവും അസ്ഥിയും ഇല്ലല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.Look at My hands and My feet. It is I Myself. Touch Me and see—for a spirit does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have.”

40ഇങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞിട്ട് അവൻ കയ്യും കാലും അവരെ കാണിച്ചു.And when He had said this, He showed them His hands and feet.

41അവർ സന്തോഷത്താൽ വിശ്വസിക്കാതെ അതിശയിച്ചു നില്ക്കുമ്പോൾ അവരോട്: ഇവിടെ നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുത്ത് തിന്നുവാൻ വല്ലതും ഉണ്ടോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.While they were still in disbelief because of their joy and amazement, He asked them, “Do you have anything here to eat?”

42അവർ ഒരു കഷണം വറുത്ത മീനും തേൻകട്ടയും അവന് കൊടുത്തു.So they gave Him a piece of broiled fish,

43യേശു അത് വാങ്ങി അവർ കാൺകെ തിന്നു.and He took it and ate it in front of them.

45തിരുവെഴുത്തുകളെ തിരിച്ചറിയേണ്ടതിന് അവരുടെ ബുദ്ധിയെ തുറന്നു.Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures.

46ക്രിസ്തു കഷ്ടം അനുഭവിക്കയും മൂന്നാം നാൾ മരിച്ചവരിൽ നിന്നു ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേല്ക്കുകയുംAnd He told them, “This is what is written: The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day,

47അവന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ മാനസാന്തരവും പാപമോചനവും യെരൂശലേമിൽ തുടങ്ങി സകലജാതികളിലും പ്രസംഗിക്കുകയും വേണം എന്നിങ്ങനെ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നു.and in His name repentance and forgiveness of sins will be proclaimed to all nations, beginning in Jerusalem.

48ഇതിനു നിങ്ങൾ സാക്ഷികൾ ആകുന്നു.You are witnesses of these things.

49എന്റെ പിതാവ് വാഗ്ദത്തം ചെയ്തതിനെ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ മേൽ അയയ്ക്കും. നിങ്ങളോ ഉയരത്തിൽനിന്ന് ശക്തി ലഭിക്കുന്നതു വരെ നഗരത്തിൽ പാർപ്പിൻ എന്നും അവരോട് പറഞ്ഞു.And behold, I am sending the promise of My Father upon you. But remain in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.”

50അതുകഴിഞ്ഞ് അവൻ അവരെ ബേഥാന്യ വരെ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുപോയി കൈ ഉയർത്തി അവരെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു.When Jesus had led them out as far as Bethany, He lifted up His hands and blessed them.

51അവരെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കയിൽ അവൻ അവരെ വിട്ടു പിരിഞ്ഞു സ്വർഗ്ഗാരോഹണം ചെയ്തു.While He was blessing them, He left them and was carried up into heaven.

52അവർ അവനെ നമസ്കരിച്ചു മഹാസന്തോഷത്തോടെ യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിച്ചെന്നുAnd they worshiped Him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy,

53എല്ലായ്പോഴും ദൈവാലയത്തിൽ ഇരുന്നു ദൈവത്തെ വാഴ്ത്തിപ്പോന്നു.praising God continually in the temple.
