BSB BSB: And do not presume to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I tell you that out of these stones God can raise up children for Abraham.

BSB BSB: I baptize you with water for repentance, but after me will come One more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.
12 ULB പാറ്റുവാൻ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്ന വീശൂമുറം അവന്റെ കയ്യിൽ ഉണ്ട്; അവൻ മെതിക്കളത്തെ മുറ്റും വെടിപ്പാക്കി കോതമ്പ് കളപ്പുരയിൽ കൂട്ടിവയ്ക്കുകയും പതിർ ഒരിക്കലും കെടാത്ത തീയിൽ ഇട്ട് ചുട്ടുകളകയും ചെയ്യും. BSB BSB: His winnowing fork is in His hand to clear His threshing floor and to gather His wheat into the barn; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”
13 ULB അനന്തരം യേശു യോഹന്നാനാൽ സ്നാനം ഏല്ക്കുവാൻ ഗലീലയിൽ നിന്നു യോർദ്ദാൻനദിയിൽ അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു. BSB BSB: At that time Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to be baptized by John.
14 ULB യോഹന്നാൻ അവനെ വിലക്കി: നിന്നാൽ സ്നാനം ഏല്ക്കുവാൻ എനിക്ക് ആവശ്യം; പിന്നെ നീ എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വരുന്നുവോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. BSB BSB: But John tried to prevent Him, saying, “I need to be baptized by You, and do You come to me?”
15 ULB യേശു പ്രത്യുത്തരമായി യോഹന്നാൻ സ്നാപകനോട്: “ഇപ്പോൾ സമ്മതിക്ക; ഇങ്ങനെ സകലനീതിയും നിവർത്തിയ്ക്കുന്നത് നമുക്കു ഉചിതം” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; ഉടനെ യോഹന്നാൻ യേശുവിനെ അനുവദിച്ചു. BSB BSB: “Let it be so now,” Jesus replied. “It is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness in this way.” Then John permitted Him.
