4 ULB ഞങ്ങളും ഞങ്ങളുടെ മൃഗങ്ങളും ഇവിടെ കിടന്ന് ചാകേണ്ടതിന് നിങ്ങൾ യഹോവയുടെ സഭയെ ഈ മരുഭൂമിയിൽ കൊണ്ടുവന്നത് എന്ത്? BSB BSB: Why have you brought the LORD’s assembly into this wilderness for us and our livestock to die here?
5 ULB ഈ ദുഷിച്ച സ്ഥലത്തേക്ക് കൊണ്ടുവരുവാൻ നിങ്ങൾ ഈജിപ്റ്റിൽനിന്ന് ഞങ്ങളെ പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചത് എന്തിന്? ഇവിടെ വിത്തും അത്തിപ്പഴവും മുന്തിരിപ്പഴവും മാതളപ്പഴവും ഇല്ല; കുടിക്കുവാൻ വെള്ളവുമില്ല” എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു. BSB BSB: Why have you led us up out of Egypt to bring us to this wretched place? It is not a place of grain, figs, vines, or pomegranates—and there is no water to drink!”

BSB BSB: Then Moses and Aaron went from the presence of the assembly to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting. They fell facedown, and the glory of the LORD appeared to them.
7 ULB യഹോവ മോശെയോട്: “നിന്റെ വടി എടുത്ത് നീയും നിന്റെ സഹോദരൻ അഹരോനും സഭയെ വിളിച്ചുകൂട്ടി അവർ കാൺകെ പാറയോട് കല്പിക്കുക. BSB BSB: And the LORD said to Moses,

BSB BSB: “Take the staff and assemble the congregation. You and your brother Aaron are to speak to the rock while they watch, and it will pour out its water. You will bring out water from the rock and provide drink for the congregation and their livestock.”
9 ULB തന്നോട് കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ മോശെ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽനിന്ന് വടി എടുത്തു. BSB BSB: So Moses took the staff from the LORD’s presence, just as he had been commanded.
10 ULB മോശെയും അഹരോനും പാറയുടെ അടുക്കൽ സഭയെ വിളിച്ചുകൂട്ടി അവരോട്: “മത്സരികളേ, കേൾപ്പിൻ; ഈ പാറയിൽനിന്ന് ഞങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങൾക്കുവേണ്ടി വെള്ളം പുറപ്പെടുവിക്കുമോ” എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു. BSB BSB: Then Moses and Aaron gathered the assembly in front of the rock, and Moses said to them, “Listen now, you rebels, must we bring you water out of this rock?”
11 ULB മോശെ കൈ ഉയർത്തി വടികൊണ്ട് പാറയെ രണ്ട് പ്രാവശ്യം അടിച്ചു; വളരെ വെള്ളം പുറപ്പെട്ടു; ജനവും അവരുടെ കന്നുകാലികളും കുടിച്ചു. BSB BSB: Then Moses raised his hand and struck the rock twice with his staff, so that a great amount of water gushed out, and the congregation and their livestock were able to drink.
12 ULB പിന്നെ യഹോവ മോശെയോടും അഹരോനോടും: “നിങ്ങൾ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ കാൺകെ എന്നെ ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കുവാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം എന്നെ വിശ്വസിക്കാതിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ട് നിങ്ങൾ ഈ സഭയെ ഞാൻ അവർക്ക് കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്ന ദേശത്തേക്ക് കൊണ്ടുപോകുകയില്ല” എന്ന് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു. BSB BSB: But the LORD said to Moses and Aaron, “Because you did not trust Me to show My holiness in the sight of the Israelites, you will not bring this assembly into the land that I have given them.”
13 ULB ഇത് യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ യഹോവയോട് കലഹിച്ചതും അവർ അവരിൽ ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ടതുമായ കലഹജലം. BSB BSB: These were the waters of Meribah, where the Israelites quarreled with the LORD, and He showed His holiness among them.
14 ULB അനന്തരം മോശെ കാദേശിൽനിന്ന് എദോംരാജാവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ദൂതന്മാരെ അയച്ച് പറയിച്ചത്: നിന്റെ സഹോദരനായ യിസ്രായേൽ ഇപ്രകാരം പറയുന്നു: BSB BSB: From Kadesh, Moses sent messengers to tell the king of Edom, “This is what your brother Israel says: You know all the hardship that has befallen us,
15 ULB “ഞങ്ങൾക്കുണ്ടായ കഷ്ടതയൊക്കെയും നീ അറിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ; ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാർ ഈജിപ്റ്റിൽ പോയി ഏറിയ കാലം പാർത്തു: ഈജിപ്റ്റിലുള്ളവർ ഞങ്ങളെയും ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരെയും പീഡിപ്പിച്ചു. BSB BSB: how our fathers went down to Egypt, where we lived many years. The Egyptians mistreated us and our fathers,
16 ULB ഞങ്ങൾ യഹോവയോട് നിലവിളിച്ചപ്പോൾ അവിടുന്ന് ഞങ്ങളുടെ നിലവിളി കേട്ട് ഒരു ദൂതനെ അയച്ച് ഞങ്ങളെ ഈജിപ്റ്റിൽനിന്ന് പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചു; ഞങ്ങൾ നിന്റെ അതിർത്തി പട്ടണമായ കാദേശിൽ എത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു. BSB BSB: and when we cried out to the LORD, He heard our voice, sent an angel, and brought us out of Egypt. Now look, we are in Kadesh, a city on the edge of your territory.
17 ULB ഞങ്ങൾ നിന്റെ ദേശത്തുകൂടി കടന്നുപോകുവാൻ അനുവദിക്കണമേ. ഞങ്ങൾ വയലിലോ, മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടത്തിലോ കയറുകയില്ല; കിണറ്റിലെ വെള്ളം കുടിക്കുകയുമില്ല. ഞങ്ങൾ രാജപാതയിൽ കൂടി തന്നെ നടക്കും; BSB BSB: Please let us pass through your land. We will not go through any field or vineyard, or drink water from any well. We will stay on the King’s Highway; we will not turn to the right or to the left until we have passed through your territory.”

BSB BSB: But Edom answered, “You may not travel through our land, or we will come out and confront you with the sword.”

BSB BSB: “We will stay on the main road,” the Israelites replied, “and if we or our herds drink your water, we will pay for it. There will be no problem; only let us pass through on foot.”
20 ULB അതിന് അവൻ “നീ കടന്നുപോകരുത്”എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു. എദോം ബഹുസൈന്യത്തോടും ബലമുള്ള കൈയോടുംകൂടെ അവന്റെ നേരെ പുറപ്പെട്ടു. BSB BSB: But Edom insisted, “You may not pass through.” And they came out to confront the Israelites with a large army and a strong hand.
21 ULB ഇങ്ങനെ എദോം തന്റെ അതിർത്തിയിൽകൂടി കടന്നുപോകുവാൻ യിസ്രായേലിനെ സമ്മതിച്ചില്ല. യിസ്രായേൽ അവിടെ നിന്ന് പിന്തിരിഞ്ഞു. BSB BSB: So Edom refused to allow Israel to pass through their territory, and Israel turned away from them.
22 ULB പിന്നെ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളുടെ സർവ്വസഭയും കാദേശിൽനിന്ന് യാത്ര പുറപ്പെട്ട് ഹോർപർവ്വതത്തിൽ എത്തി. BSB BSB: After they had set out from Kadesh, the whole congregation of Israel came to Mount Hor.
23 ULB എദോമിന്റെ അതിർത്തിയിലുള്ള ഹോർപർവ്വതത്തിൽവച്ച് യഹോവ മോശെയോടും അഹരോനോടും അരുളിച്ചെയ്തത്: BSB BSB: And at Mount Hor, near the border of the land of Edom, the LORD said to Moses and Aaron,
24 ULB “അഹരോൻ തന്റെ ജനത്തോട് ചേരും; കലഹജലത്തിൽ നിങ്ങൾ എന്റെ കല്പന മറുത്തതുകൊണ്ട് ഞാൻ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾക്ക് കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്ന ദേശത്തേക്ക് അവൻ കടക്കുകയില്ല. BSB BSB: “Aaron will be gathered to his people; he will not enter the land that I have given the Israelites, because both of you rebelled against My command at the waters of Meribah.
25 ULB അഹരോനെയും അവന്റെ മകനായ എലെയാസാരിനെയും കൂട്ടി അവരെ ഹോർപർവ്വതത്തിൽ കൊണ്ടുചെന്ന് BSB BSB: Take Aaron and his son Eleazar and bring them up Mount Hor.
26 ULB അഹരോന്റെ വസ്ത്രം ഊരി അവന്റെ മകനായ എലെയാസാരിനെ ധരിപ്പിക്കണം; അഹരോൻ അവിടെവച്ച് മരിച്ച് തന്റെ ജനത്തോടു ചേരും”. BSB BSB: Remove Aaron’s priestly garments and put them on his son Eleazar. Aaron will be gathered to his people and will die there.”
27 ULB യഹോവ കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ മോശെ ചെയ്തു; സർവ്വസഭയുടെയും മുമ്പിൽ അവർ ഹോർപർവ്വത്തിൽ കയറി. BSB BSB: So Moses did as the LORD had commanded, and they climbed Mount Hor in the sight of the whole congregation.
28 ULB മോശെ അഹരോന്റെ വസ്ത്രം ഊരി അവന്റെ മകനായ എലെയാസാരിനെ ധരിപ്പിച്ചു; അഹരോൻ അവിടെ പർവ്വതത്തിന്റെ മുകളിൽവച്ച് മരിച്ചു; മോശെയും എലെയാസാരും പർവ്വതത്തിൽനിന്ന് ഇറങ്ങിവന്നു. BSB BSB: After Moses had removed Aaron’s garments and put them on his son Eleazar, Aaron died there on top of the mountain. Then Moses and Eleazar came down from the mountain.
29 ULB ‘അഹരോൻ മരിച്ചുപോയി’ എന്ന് സഭയെല്ലാം അറിഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ യിസ്രായേൽഗൃഹം ഒക്കെയും അഹരോനെക്കുറിച്ച് മുപ്പത് ദിവസം വിലപിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു BSB BSB: When the whole congregation saw that Aaron had died, the entire house of Israel mourned for him thirty days.
