Numbers 3 (ULB)

1യഹോവ സീനായിപർവ്വതത്തിൽവച്ച് മോശെയോട് അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത കാലത്ത് അഹരോന്റെയും മോശെയുടെയും വംശപാരമ്പര്യം ഇപ്രകാരമാണ്:This is the account of Aaron and Moses at the time the LORD spoke with Moses on Mount Sinai.

2അഹരോന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ ഇവരാണ്: ആദ്യജാതൻ നാദാബ്, അബീഹൂ, എലെയാസാർ, ഈഥാമാർ.These are the names of the sons of Aaron: Nadab the firstborn, then Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.

3പുരോഹിതശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്യുവാൻ പ്രതിഷ്ഠിക്കപ്പെട്ട്, അഭിഷേകം ലഭിച്ച പുരോഹിതന്മാരായ അഹരോന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരുടെ പേരുകൾ ഇവ തന്നെ.These were Aaron’s sons, the anointed priests, who were ordained to serve as priests.

4എന്നാൽ നാദാബും അബീഹൂവും സീനായിമരുഭൂമിയിൽവച്ച് യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ അന്യാഗ്നി കത്തിച്ചപ്പോൾ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ വച്ച് മരിച്ചുപോയി; അവർക്ക് മക്കൾ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല; എലെയാസാരും ഈഥാമാരും അപ്പനായ അഹരോന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ പുരോഹിതശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്തുപോന്നു.Nadab and Abihu, however, died in the presence of the LORD when they offered unauthorized fire before the LORD in the Wilderness of Sinai. And since they had no sons, only Eleazar and Ithamar served as priests during the lifetime of their father Aaron.

5യഹോവ പിന്നെയും മോശെയോട് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തത്:Then the LORD said to Moses,

6“നീ ലേവിഗോത്രത്തെ അടുക്കൽ വരുത്തി പുരോഹിതനായ അഹരോന് ശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന് അവന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നിർത്തുക.“Bring the tribe of Levi and present them to Aaron the priest to assist him.

7അവർ സമാഗമനകൂടാരത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ അവന്റെ കാര്യവും സർവ്വസഭയുടെ കാര്യവും നോക്കി തിരുനിവാസത്തിലെ വേല ചെയ്യണം.They are to perform duties for him and for the whole congregation before the Tent of Meeting, attending to the service of the tabernacle.

8അവർ സമാഗമനകൂടാരത്തിനുള്ള ഉപകരണങ്ങളും എല്ലാ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളുടെ കാര്യവും നോക്കി കൂടാരം സംബന്ധിച്ച വേല ചെയ്യണം.They shall take care of all the furnishings of the Tent of Meeting and fulfill obligations for the Israelites by attending to the service of the tabernacle.

9നീ ലേവ്യരെ അഹരോനും അവന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർക്കും കൊടുക്കണം; യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളിൽനിന്ന് അവർ അവന് സാക്ഷാൽ ദാനമായുള്ളവർ ആകുന്നു.Assign the Levites to Aaron and his sons; they have been given exclusively to him from among the Israelites.

10അഹരോനെയും പുത്രന്മാരെയും പൗരോഹിത്യം നടത്തുവാൻ നിയമിക്കണം; അടുത്തുവരുന്ന അന്യൻ മരണശിക്ഷ അനുഭവിക്കണം”.So you shall appoint Aaron and his sons to carry out the duties of the priesthood; but any outsider who approaches the tabernacle must be put to death.”

11യഹോവ പിന്നെയും മോശെയോട് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തത്:Again the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

12“യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളുടെ ഇടയിൽ പിറക്കുന്ന എല്ലാകടിഞ്ഞൂലിനും പകരം ഞാൻ ലേവ്യരെ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളിൽനിന്ന് എടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; ലേവ്യർ എനിക്കുള്ളവർ ആയിരിക്കണം.“Behold, I have taken the Levites from among the children of Israel in place of every firstborn Israelite from the womb. The Levites belong to Me,

13കടിഞ്ഞൂലെല്ലാം എനിക്കുള്ളത്; ഞാൻ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്ത് അവരുടെ എല്ലാം കടിഞ്ഞൂലിനെ കൊന്നനാളിൽ യിസ്രായേലിൽ മനുഷ്യന്റെയും മൃഗത്തിന്റെയും കടിഞ്ഞൂലിനെയെല്ലാം എനിക്കായിട്ട് ശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചു; അത് എനിക്കുള്ളതായിരിക്കണം; ഞാൻ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു”.for all the firstborn are Mine. On the day I struck down every firstborn in the land of Egypt, I consecrated to Myself all the firstborn in Israel, both man and beast. They are Mine; I am the LORD.”

14യഹോവ പിന്നെയും സീനായിമരുഭൂമിയിൽവച്ച് മോശെയോട് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തത്:Then the LORD spoke to Moses in the Wilderness of Sinai, saying,

15“ലേവ്യരെ കുലംകുലമായും കുടുംബംകുടുംബമായും എണ്ണുക; അവരിൽ ഒരു മാസംമുതൽ മുകളിലേക്ക് പ്രായമുള്ള എല്ലാ ആണിനെയും നീ എണ്ണണം”.“Number the Levites by their families and clans. You are to count every male a month old or more.”

16തന്നോട് കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ മോശെ യഹോവയുടെ വചനപ്രകാരം അവരെ എണ്ണി.So Moses numbered them according to the word of the LORD, as he had been commanded.

17ലേവിയുടെ പുത്രന്മാരുടെ പേരുകൾ: ഗേർശോൻ, കെഹാത്ത്, മെരാരി.These were the sons of Levi by name: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.

18കുടുംബംകുടുംബമായി ഗേർശോന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരുടെ പേരുകൾ:These were the names of the sons of Gershon by their clans: Libni and Shimei.

19ലിബ്നി, ശിമെയി. കുടുംബംകുടുംബമായി കെഹാത്തിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: അമ്രാം, യിസ്ഹാർ, ഹെബ്രോൻ, ഉസ്സീയേൽ.The sons of Kohath by their clans were Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel.

20കുടുംബംകുടുംബമായി മെരാരിയുടെ പുത്രന്മാർ: മഹ്ലി, മൂശി. ഇവർതന്നെ കുലംകുലമായി ലേവിയുടെ കുടുംബങ്ങൾ.And the sons of Merari by their clans were Mahli and Mushi. These were the clans of the Levites, according to their families.

21ഗേർശോനിൽനിന്ന് ലിബ്നിയരുടെ കുടുംബവും ശിമ്യരുടെ കുടുംബവും ഉത്ഭവിച്ചു; ഇവ ഗേർശോന്യകുടുംബങ്ങൾ.From Gershon came the Libnite clan and the Shimeite clan; these were the Gershonite clans.

27കെഹാത്തിൽനിന്ന് അമ്രാമ്യരുടെ കുടുംബവും യിസ്ഹാര്യരുടെ കുടുംബവും ഹെബ്രോന്യരുടെ കുടുംബവും ഉസ്സീയേല്യരുടെ കുടുംബവും ഉത്ഭവിച്ചു.From Kohath came the clans of the Amramites, the Izharites, the Hebronites, and the Uzzielites; these were the clans of the Kohathites.

30കെഹാത്യകുടുംബങ്ങളുടെ പിതൃഭവനത്തിന് ഉസ്സീയേലിന്റെ മകൻ എലീസാഫാൻ പ്രഭു ആയിരിക്കണം.and the leader of the families of the Kohathites was Elizaphan son of Uzziel.

33മെരാരിയിൽനിന്ന് മഹ്ലിയരുടെ കുടുംബവും മൂശ്യരുടെ കുടുംബവും ഉത്ഭവിച്ചു; മെരാര്യകുടുംബങ്ങൾ ഇവ തന്നേ.From Merari came the clans of the Mahlites and Mushites; these were the Merarite clans.

34അവരിൽ ഒരു മാസംമുതൽ മുകളിലേക്ക് പ്രായമുള്ള ആണുങ്ങളുടെ ഗണത്തിൽ എണ്ണപ്പെട്ടവർ ആറായിരത്തി ഇരുനൂറ് പേർ.The number of all the males a month old or more was 6,200.

35മെരാര്യകുടുംബങ്ങളുടെ പിതൃഭവനത്തിന് അബീഹയിലിന്റെ മകൻ സൂരിയേൽ പ്രഭു ആയിരിക്കണം; ഇവർ തിരുനിവാസത്തിന്റെ വടക്കു ഭാഗത്ത് പാളയമിറങ്ങണം.The leader of the families of the Merarites was Zuriel son of Abihail; they were to camp on the north side of the tabernacle.

They were to perform the duties of the sanctuary as a service on behalf of the Israelites; but any outsider who approached the sanctuary was to be put to death.

39മോശെയും അഹരോനും യഹോവയുടെ വചനപ്രകാരം കുടുംബംകുടുംബമായി എണ്ണിയ ലേവ്യരിൽ ഒരു മാസംമുതൽ മുകളിലേക്ക് പ്രായമുള്ള ആണുങ്ങൾ ആകെ ഇരുപത്തിരണ്ട് ആയിരം പേർ.The total number of Levites that Moses and Aaron counted by their clans at the LORD’s command, including all the males a month old or more, was 22,000.

41യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളിലെ എല്ലാകടിഞ്ഞൂലുകൾക്കും പകരം ലേവ്യരുടെ മൃഗങ്ങളെയും എനിക്കായി എടുക്കണം; ഞാൻ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു”.You are to take the Levites for Me—I am the LORD—in place of all the firstborn of Israel, and the livestock of the Levites in place of all the firstborn of the livestock of the Israelites.”

42യഹോവ തന്നോട് കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ മോശെ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളുടെ എല്ലാകടിഞ്ഞൂലുകളെയും എണ്ണി.So Moses numbered all the firstborn of the Israelites, as the LORD had commanded him.

44യഹോവ പിന്നെയും മോശെയോട് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തത്:Again the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

45“യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളിൽ എല്ലാകടിഞ്ഞൂലുകൾക്കും പകരം ലേവ്യരെയും അവരുടെ മൃഗങ്ങൾക്ക് പകരം ലേവ്യരുടെ മൃഗങ്ങളെയും എടുക്കുക; ലേവ്യർ എനിക്കുള്ളവരായിരിക്കണം; ഞാൻ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.“Take the Levites in place of all the firstborn of Israel, and the livestock of the Levites in place of their livestock. The Levites belong to Me; I am the LORD.

46യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളുടെ കടിഞ്ഞൂലുകളിൽ ലേവ്യരുടെ എണ്ണത്തിൽ കവിഞ്ഞുള്ള ഇരുനൂറ്റി എഴുപത്തിമൂന്ന് പേരുടെ വീണ്ടെടുപ്പിനായി തലയ്ക്ക് അഞ്ച് ശേക്കെൽ വീതം വാങ്ങണം;To redeem the 273 firstborn Israelites who outnumber the Levites,

47വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തിലെ തൂക്കപ്രകാരം ശേക്കെൽ ഒന്നിന് ഇരുപത് ഗേരാവച്ച് വാങ്ങണം.you are to collect five shekels for each one, according to the sanctuary shekel of twenty gerahs.

48അവരുടെ എണ്ണത്തിൽ കവിയുന്നവരുടെ വീണ്ടെടുപ്പുവില അഹരോനും അവന്റെ മക്കൾക്കും കൊടുക്കണം.Give the money to Aaron and his sons as the redemption price for the excess among the Israelites.”

49ലേവ്യരെക്കൊണ്ട് വീണ്ടെടുത്തവരുടെ എണ്ണത്തിൽ കവിഞ്ഞുള്ളവരുടെ വീണ്ടെടുപ്പുവില മോശെ വാങ്ങി.So Moses collected the redemption money from those in excess of the number redeemed by the Levites.

50യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളുടെ ആദ്യജാതന്മാരോട് അവൻ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തിലെ തൂക്കപ്രകാരം ആയിരത്തി മൂന്നൂറ്ററുപത്തഞ്ച് ശേക്കെൽ പണം വാങ്ങി.He collected the money from the firstborn of the Israelites: 1,365 shekels, according to the sanctuary shekel.

51യഹോവ മോശെയോട് കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ വീണ്ടെടുത്തവരുടെ വില മോശെ അഹരോനും അവന്റെ മക്കൾക്കും യഹോവയുടെ വചനപ്രകാരം കൊടുത്തു.And Moses gave the redemption money to Aaron and his sons in obedience to the word of the LORD, just as the LORD had commanded him.
