Numbers 5 (ULB)

1യഹോവ പിന്നെയും മോശെയോട് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തത്:Then the LORD said to Moses,

2“സകല കുഷ്ഠരോഗികളെയും, സ്രവക്കാരെയും ശവത്താൽ അശുദ്ധരായവരെയും പാളയത്തിൽനിന്ന് പുറത്താക്കുവാൻ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളോട് കല്പിക്കുക.“Command the Israelites to send away from the camp anyone with a skin disease, anyone who has a bodily discharge, and anyone who is defiled by a dead body.

3ആണായാലും പെണ്ണായാലും അവരെ പാളയത്തിൽനിന്ന് പുറത്താക്കണം; ഞാൻ അവരുടെ മദ്ധ്യത്തിൽ വസിക്കുന്നതിനാൽ അവർ അവരുടെ പാളയം അശുദ്ധമാക്കരുത്”.You must send away male and female alike; send them outside the camp so they will not defile their camp, where I dwell among them.”

4യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്തു; അവരെ പാളയത്തിൽനിന്ന് പുറത്താക്കി; യഹോവ മോശെയോട് കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ തന്നെ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ ചെയ്തു.So the Israelites did this, sending such people outside the camp. They did just as the LORD had instructed Moses.

5യഹോവ പിന്നെയും മോശെയോട് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തത്:And the LORD said to Moses,

6“നീ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളോട് ഇപ്രകാരം പറയുക: ഒരു പുരുഷനോ സ്ത്രീയോ യഹോവയോട് ദ്രോഹിച്ച് മനുഷ്യരുടെ ഇടയിൽ നടപ്പുള്ള വല്ല പാപവും ചെയ്തിട്ട് കുറ്റക്കാരായാൽ, ചെയ്ത പാപം“Tell the Israelites that when a man or woman acts unfaithfully against the LORD by committing any sin against another, that person is guilty

7അവർ ഏറ്റുപറയുകയും തങ്ങളുടെ അകൃത്യത്തിന് പ്രായശ്ചിത്തമായി മുതലും അതിന്റെ അഞ്ചിലൊന്നും കൂട്ടി, അകൃത്യം ചെയ്തവന് പകരം കൊടുക്കുകയും വേണം.and must confess the sin he has committed. He must make full restitution, add a fifth to its value, and give all this to the one he has wronged.

9യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ പുരോഹിതന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുവരുന്ന സകല വിശുദ്ധവസ്തുക്കളിലും മേന്മയായതൊക്കെയും അവന് ആയിരിക്കണം.Every sacred contribution the Israelites bring to the priest shall belong to him.

10ആരെങ്കിലും ശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചർപ്പിക്കുന്ന വസ്തുക്കളും പുരോഹിതന് കൊടുക്കുന്നതെല്ലാം അവനുള്ളതായിരിക്കണം”.Each man’s sacred gifts are his own, but whatever he gives to the priest will belong to the priest.”

11യഹോവ പിന്നെയും മോശെയോട് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തത്.Then the LORD said to Moses,

12“നീ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളോട് പറയേണ്ടത് എന്തെന്നാൽ: ഏതെങ്കിലും ഒരു പുരുഷന്റെ ഭാര്യ വഞ്ജിച്ച് അവനെ ദ്രോഹിച്ച്,“Speak to the Israelites and tell them that if any man’s wife goes astray and is unfaithful to him

13അവളോടുകൂടി ഒരാൾ ശയിക്കുകയും അത് അവളുടെ ഭർത്താവിന് മറവായിരിക്കുകയും അവൾ അശുദ്ധയാകുകയും അവൾക്ക് വിരോധമായി സാക്ഷിയില്ലാതിരിക്കുകയുംby sleeping with another man, and it is concealed from her husband and her impurity is undetected (since there is no witness against her and she was not caught in the act),

15ആ പുരുഷൻ ഭാര്യയെ പുരോഹിതന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുചെല്ലണം; അവൾക്കുവേണ്ടി വഴിപാടായിട്ട് ഒരിടങ്ങഴി യവപ്പൊടിയും കൊണ്ടുചെല്ലണം; അതിന്മേൽ എണ്ണ ഒഴിക്കരുത്; കുന്തുരുക്കം ഇടുകയും അരുത്; അത് സംശയത്തിന്റെ ഭോജനയാഗമല്ലോ; അപരാധസ്മാരകമായ ഭോജനയാഗം തന്നേ.then he is to bring his wife to the priest. He must also bring for her an offering of a tenth of an ephah of barley flour. He is not to pour oil over it or put frankincense on it, because it is a grain offering for jealousy, an offering of memorial as a reminder of iniquity.

16പുരോഹിതൻ അവളെ അടുക്കൽ വരുത്തി യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ നിർത്തണം.The priest is to bring the wife forward and have her stand before the LORD.

17പുരോഹിതൻ ഒരു മൺപാത്രത്തിൽ വിശുദ്ധജലം എടുക്കണം; പുരോഹിതൻ തിരുനിവാസത്തിന്റെ നിലത്തെ പൊടി കുറെ എടുത്ത് ആ വെള്ളത്തിൽ ഇടണം.Then he is to take some holy water in a clay jar and put some of the dust from the tabernacle floor into the water.

18പുരോഹിതൻ സ്ത്രീയെ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ നിർത്തി അവളുടെ തലമുടി അഴിച്ച് അപരാധസ്മാരകത്തിന്റെ ഭോജനയാഗം അവളുടെ കയ്യിൽ വയ്ക്കണം; പുരോഹിതന്റെ കയ്യിൽ ശാപകരമായ കൈപ്പുവെള്ളവും ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കണം.After the priest has the woman stand before the LORD, he is to let down her hair and place in her hands the grain offering of memorial, which is the grain offering for jealousy. The priest is to hold the bitter water that brings a curse.

19പുരോഹിതൻ അവളെക്കൊണ്ട് സത്യം ചെയ്യിച്ച് അവളോട് പറയേണ്ടത്: ‘ആരും നിന്നോടുകൂടി ശയിക്കുകയും നിനക്ക് ഭർത്താവുണ്ടായിരിക്കെ നീ അശുദ്ധിയിലേക്ക് തിരിയുകയും ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ല എങ്കിൽ ശാപകരമായ ഈ കൈപ്പുവെള്ളത്തിന്റെ ദോഷം നിനക്ക് വരാതിരിക്കട്ടെ.And he is to put the woman under oath and say to her, ‘If no other man has slept with you and you have not gone astray and become defiled while under your husband’s authority, may you be immune to this bitter water that brings a curse.

20എന്നാൽ നിനക്ക് ഭർത്താവുണ്ടായിരിക്കെ നീ പിഴച്ച് അശുദ്ധയാകുകയും നിന്റെ ഭർത്താവല്ലാതെ മറ്റൊരു പുരുഷൻ നിന്നോടുകൂടി ശയിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ടെങ്കിൽ’-But if you have gone astray while under your husband’s authority and have defiled yourself and lain carnally with a man other than your husband’—

21അപ്പോൾ പുരോഹിതൻ സ്ത്രീയെക്കൊണ്ട് ശാപസത്യം ചെയ്യിച്ച് അവളോട്: ‘യഹോവ നിന്റെ നിതംബം ക്ഷയിപ്പിക്കുകയും ഉദരം വീർപ്പിക്കുകയും ചെയ്ത് നിന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ ഇടയിൽ നിന്നെ ശാപവും ആക്ഷേപവും ആക്കി തീർക്കട്ടെ.and the priest shall have the woman swear under the oath of the curse—‘then may the LORD make you an attested curse among your people by making your thigh shrivel and your belly swell.

22ശാപകരമായ ഈ വെള്ളം നിന്റെ കുടലിൽ ചെന്ന് നിന്റെ ഉദരം വീർപ്പിക്കുകയും നിന്റെ നിതംബം ക്ഷയിപ്പിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും’എന്ന് പറയേണം. അതിന് സ്ത്രീ: ‘ആമേൻ, ആമേൻ’എന്ന് പറയണം.May this water that brings a curse enter your stomach and cause your belly to swell and your thigh to shrivel.’ Then the woman is to say, ‘Amen, Amen.’

23പുരോഹിതൻ ഈ ശാപങ്ങൾ ഒരു പുസ്തകത്തിൽ എഴുതി കൈപ്പുവെള്ളത്തിൽ കഴുകി കലക്കണം.And the priest shall write these curses on a scroll and wash them off into the bitter water.

24അവൻ ശാപകരമായ കൈപ്പുവെള്ളം സ്ത്രീയെ കുടിപ്പിക്കണം; ശാപകരമായ വെള്ളം അവളുടെ ഉള്ളിൽ ചെന്ന് കൈപ്പായ്തീരും;He is to have the woman drink the bitter water that brings a curse, and it will enter her and may cause her bitter suffering.

25പുരോഹിതൻ സ്ത്രീയുടെ കയ്യിൽനിന്ന് സംശയത്തിന്റെ ഭോജനയാഗം വാങ്ങി യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ നീരാജനം ചെയ്ത് യാഗപീഠത്തിന്മേൽ അർപ്പിക്കണം.The priest shall take from her hand the grain offering for jealousy, wave it before the LORD, and bring it to the altar.

26പിന്നെ പുരോഹിതൻ ഭോജനയാഗത്തിൽ ഒരു പിടി എടുത്ത് യാഗപീഠത്തിന്മേൽ നിവേദ്യമായി ദഹിപ്പിക്കണം; അതിന്റെ ശേഷം സ്ത്രീയെ ആ വെള്ളം കുടിപ്പിക്കണം.Then the priest is to take a handful of the grain offering as a memorial portion and burn it on the altar; after that he is to have the woman drink the water.

27അവൾ അശുദ്ധയായി തന്റെ ഭർത്താവിനോട് ദ്രോഹം ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ടെങ്കിൽ അവളെ വെള്ളം കുടിപ്പിച്ച ശേഷം ശാപകരമായ വെള്ളം അവളുടെ ഉള്ളിൽ ചെന്ന് കൈപ്പായ്തീരും; അവളുടെ ഉദരം വീർക്കുകയും നിതംബം ക്ഷയിക്കുകയും സ്ത്രീ തന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ ഇടയിൽ ശാപഗ്രസ്തയായിരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.When he has made her drink the water, if she has defiled herself and been unfaithful to her husband, then the water that brings a curse will enter her and cause bitter suffering; her belly will swell, her thigh will shrivel, and she will become accursed among her people.

28എന്നാൽ സ്ത്രീ അശുദ്ധയാകാതെ നിർമ്മല ആകുന്നു എങ്കിൽ അവൾക്ക് ദോഷം വരുകയില്ല; അവൾ ഗർഭം ധരിക്കും.But if the woman has not defiled herself and is clean, she will be unaffected and able to conceive children.

29ഇതാകുന്നു പാതിവ്രത്യസംശയം സംബന്ധിച്ചുള്ള പ്രമാണം;This is the law of jealousy when a wife goes astray and defiles herself while under her husband’s authority,

30ഒരു സ്ത്രീ ഭർത്താവുണ്ടായിരിക്കെ പിഴച്ച് അശുദ്ധയാകുകയോ ജാരശങ്ക അവനെ ബാധിച്ച്, അവൻ ഭാര്യയെ സംശയിക്കുകയോ ചെയ്തിട്ട് അവളെ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ നിർത്തുമ്പോൾ പുരോഹിതൻ ഈ പ്രമാണമെല്ലാം അവളിൽ നടത്തണം.or when a feeling of jealousy comes over a husband and he suspects his wife. He is to have the woman stand before the LORD, and the priest is to apply to her this entire law.

31എന്നാൽ പുരുഷൻ അകൃത്യത്തിൽ ഓഹരിക്കാരനാകുകയില്ല; സ്ത്രീയോ തന്റെ അകൃത്യം വഹിക്കും”.The husband will be free from guilt, but the woman shall bear her iniquity.”
