BSB BSB: We were therefore buried with Him through baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may walk in newness of life.
5 ULB അവന്റെ മരണത്തിന്റെ സാദൃശ്യത്തോട് നാം ഏകീഭവിച്ചവരായെങ്കിൽ പുനരുത്ഥാനത്തോടും ഏകീഭവിക്കും. BSB BSB: For if we have been united with Him like this in His death, we will certainly also be united with Him in His resurrection.
6 ULB നാം ഇനി പാപത്തിന് അടിമപ്പെടാതവണ്ണം പാപശരീരം നശിക്കേണ്ടതിന് നമ്മുടെ പഴയ മനുഷ്യൻ അവനോടുകൂടെ ക്രൂശിക്കപ്പെട്ടു എന്നു നാം അറിയുന്നു. BSB BSB: We know that our old self was crucified with Him so that the body of sin might be rendered powerless, that we should no longer be slaves to sin.
7 ULB അങ്ങനെ മരിച്ചവൻ പാപത്തോടുള്ള ബന്ധത്തിൽ നീതിമാനായി പ്രാഖ്യാപിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. BSB BSB: For anyone who has died has been freed from sin.
8 ULB നാം ക്രിസ്തുവിനോടുകൂടെ മരിച്ചു എങ്കിൽ അവനോടുകൂടെ ജീവിക്കും എന്നു വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നു. BSB BSB: Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with Him.
9 ULB ക്രിസ്തു മരിച്ചിട്ട് ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേറ്റിരിക്കയാൽ ഇനി മരിക്കയില്ല; മരണത്തിന് അവന്റെമേൽ ഇനി കർത്തൃത്വമില്ല എന്നു നാം അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ. BSB BSB: For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, He cannot die again; death no longer has dominion over Him.
10 ULB അവൻ മരിച്ചതു പാപസംബന്ധമായി എല്ലാവർക്കുംവേണ്ടി ഒരിക്കലായിട്ട് മരിച്ചു; അവൻ ജീവിക്കുന്നതോ ദൈവത്തിനുവേണ്ടി ജീവിക്കുന്നു. BSB BSB: The death He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life He lives, He lives to God.
11 ULB അതുപോലെതന്നെ നിങ്ങളും; ഒരുവശത്ത് പാപസംബന്ധമായി മരിച്ചവർ എന്നും, മറുവശത്ത് ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിൽ ദൈവത്തിനായി ജീവിക്കുന്നവർ എന്നും നിങ്ങളെത്തന്നെ എണ്ണുവിൻ. BSB BSB: So you too must count yourselves dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus.
12 ULB ആകയാൽ പാപം നിങ്ങളുടെ മർത്യശരീരത്തിൽ അതിന്റെ മോഹങ്ങളെ അനുസരിക്കുംവിധം ഇനി വാഴരുത്, BSB BSB: Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its desires.
13 ULB നിങ്ങളുടെ അവയവങ്ങളെ അനീതിയുടെ ആയുധങ്ങളായി പാപത്തിന് സമർപ്പിക്കയും അരുത്. നിങ്ങളെത്തന്നേ മരിച്ചിട്ട് ജീവിക്കുന്നവരായും നിങ്ങളുടെ അവയവങ്ങളെ നീതിയുടെ ആയുധങ്ങളായും ദൈവത്തിന് സമർപ്പിച്ചുകൊൾവിൻ. BSB BSB: Do not present the parts of your body to sin as instruments of wickedness, but present yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and present the parts of your body to Him as instruments of righteousness.
14 ULB നിങ്ങൾ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിനല്ല, കൃപയ്ക്കത്രേ അധീനരാകയാൽ പാപം നിങ്ങളുടെമേൽ കർത്തൃത്വം നടത്തുകയില്ല. BSB BSB: For sin shall not be your master, because you are not under law, but under grace.
15 ULB എന്നാൽ എന്ത്? ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിനല്ല കൃപയ്ക്കത്രേ അധീനരാകയാൽ നാം പാപം ചെയ്ക എന്നോ? ഒരുനാളും അരുത്. BSB BSB: What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law, but under grace? Certainly not!
16 ULB നിങ്ങൾ ദാസന്മാരായി അനുസരിക്കുവാൻ നിങ്ങളെത്തന്നേ സമർപ്പിക്കയും നിങ്ങൾ അനുസരിച്ചു പോരുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവന് നിങ്ങൾ ദാസന്മാർ ആകുന്നു എന്നു അറിയുന്നില്ലയോ? ഒന്നുകിൽ മരണത്തിനായി പാപത്തിന്റെ ദാസന്മാർ, അല്ലെങ്കിൽ നീതിയ്ക്കായി അനുസരണത്തിന്റെ ദാസന്മാർ തന്നേ. BSB BSB: Do you not know that when you offer yourselves as obedient slaves, you are slaves to the one you obey, whether you are slaves to sin leading to death, or to obedience leading to righteousness?

19 ULB നിങ്ങളുടെ ജഡത്തിന്റെ ബലഹീനതനിമിത്തം ഞാൻ മാനുഷരീതിയിൽ പറയുന്നു. നിങ്ങളുടെ അവയവങ്ങളെ അധർമ്മത്തിനായി അശുദ്ധിക്കും അധർമ്മത്തിനും അടിമകളാക്കി സമർപ്പിച്ചതുപോലെ ഇപ്പോൾ നിങ്ങളുടെ അവയവങ്ങളെ വിശുദ്ധീകരണത്തിനായി നീതിയ്ക്ക് അടിമകളാക്കി സമർപ്പിപ്പിൻ BSB BSB: I am speaking in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. Just as you used to offer the parts of your body in slavery to impurity and to escalating wickedness, so now offer them in slavery to righteousness leading to holiness.
20 ULB നിങ്ങൾ പാപത്തിന് ദാസന്മാരായിരുന്നപ്പോൾ നീതിയെ സംബന്ധിച്ച് സ്വതന്ത്രരായിരുന്നുവല്ലോ. BSB BSB: For when you were slaves to sin, you were free of obligation to righteousness.
21 ULB നിങ്ങൾക്ക് അന്ന് എന്തൊരു ഫലം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു? ഇപ്പോൾ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് ലജ്ജ തോന്നുന്നതു തന്നേ. അതിന്റെ അനന്തരഫലം മരണമാകുന്നു. BSB BSB: What fruit did you reap at that time from the things of which you are now ashamed? The outcome of those things is death.
22 ULB എന്നാൽ ഇപ്പോൾ പാപത്തിൽനിന്ന് സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യം പ്രാപിച്ചു ദൈവത്തിന് ദാസന്മാരായിരിക്കയാൽ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് ലഭിക്കുന്ന ഫലം വിശുദ്ധീകരണവും അതിന്റെ അനന്തരഫലം നിത്യജീവനും ആകുന്നു. BSB BSB: But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves to God, the fruit you reap leads to holiness, and the outcome is eternal life.
23 ULB പാപത്തിന്റെ ശമ്പളം മരണമത്രേ; ദൈവത്തിന്റെ കൃപാവരമോ നമ്മുടെ കർത്താവായ ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിൽ നിത്യജീവൻ തന്നെ. BSB BSB: For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
