Therefore I must make preparations for it.” So David made lavish preparations before his death.
6 ULB मग त्याने आपला पुत्र शलमोन याला बोलावले. इस्राएलचा देव परमेश्वर याच्यासाठी मंदिर बांधण्याची त्याने त्यास आज्ञा दिली. BSB BSB: Then David called for his son Solomon and instructed him to build a house for the LORD, the God of Israel.
7 ULB दावीद शलमोनाला म्हणाला, “माझ्या मुला, माझा देव परमेश्वर याच्या नावासाठी मंदिर बांधण्याची माझी इच्छा होती. BSB BSB: “My son,” said David to Solomon, “it was in my heart to build a house for the Name of the LORD my God,
8 ULB पण परमेश्वर माझ्याकडे आला व म्हणाला, तू बऱ्याच लढाया केल्यास आणि त्यामध्ये पुष्कळ रक्त पाडले. तेव्हा तुला माझ्यासाठी मंदिर बांधता येणार नाही. कारण तू माझ्यापुढे भूमीवर पुष्कळ रक्त पाडले आहे. BSB BSB: but this word of the LORD came to me: ‘You have shed much blood and waged great wars. You are not to build a house for My Name because you have shed so much blood on the ground before Me.
9 ULB मात्र तुला पुत्र होईल तो शांतीप्रिय मनुष्य असेल. मी त्यास त्याच्या सर्व शत्रूपासून प्रत्येक बाजूने विसावा देईन. कारण त्याचे नाव शलमोन असे होईल आणि इस्राएलांस त्याच्या दिवसात मी शांतता आणि स्वस्थता देईन. BSB BSB: But a son will be born to you who will be a man of rest. I will give him rest from all his enemies on every side; for his name will be Solomon, and I will grant to Israel peace and quiet during his reign.

He will be My son, and I will be his Father. And I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel forever.’
11 ULB “आता माझ्या मुला, परमेश्वर तुझ्याबरोबर असो व तुला यशस्वी करो. त्याने तुला सांगितल्याप्रमाणे तू परमेश्वर देवाचे मंदिर बांध. BSB BSB: Now, my son, may the LORD be with you, and may you succeed in building the house of the LORD your God, as He said you would.
12 ULB जेव्हा इस्राएलावर तो तुला अधिकार देईल तेव्हा परमेश्वर देवाचे नियम पाळायला फक्त परमेश्वरच तुला अंर्तज्ञान आणि समजूतदारपणा देवो. BSB BSB: Above all, may the LORD give you insight and understanding when He puts you in command over Israel, so that you may keep the Law of the LORD your God.

17 ULB दावीदाने इस्राएलामधील सर्व पुढाऱ्यांनासुध्दा आपला पुत्र शलमोन याला सहकार्य करण्याची आज्ञा केली. तो म्हणाला, BSB BSB: Then David ordered all the leaders of Israel to help his son Solomon:
18 ULB “तुमचा देव परमेश्वर तुम्हासोबत आहे. आणि प्रत्येक बाजूने त्याने तुम्हास शांतता दिली आहे. कारण त्याने देशातले राहणारे माझ्या हाती दिले आहेत, परमेश्वराच्यापुढे आणि त्याच्या लोकांच्या आता हा देश ताब्यात आला आहे. For He has given the inhabitants of the land into my hand, and the land has been subdued before the LORD and His people.

Begin building the sanctuary of the LORD God, so that you may bring the ark of the covenant of the LORD and the holy articles of God into the temple that will be built for the Name of the LORD.”
