1ही इस्राएल वंशजांच्या घराण्यातील प्रमुखांची यादी म्हणजे हजारांचे व शंभरांचे सरदार, त्याचप्रमाणे सैन्याचे अधिकारी, हे राजाची सेवा अनेक मार्गाने करत. प्रत्येक सैन्याचा गट हे वर्षाच्या सर्व महिन्यात सेवा करत असे. प्रत्येक गटात चोवीस हजार माणसे होती.This is the list of the Israelites—the heads of families, the commanders of thousands and of hundreds, and their officers who served the king in every matter concerning the divisions on rotating military duty each month throughout the year. There were 24,000 men in each division:

3तो पेरेसच्या वंशातला होता. पहिल्या महिन्याच्या सर्व सेनाधिकाऱ्यांचा याशबाम प्रमुख होता.He was a descendant of Perez and chief of all the army commanders for the first month.

4अहोह इथला दोदय दुसऱ्या महिन्याच्या सैन्याचा प्रमुख असून मिक्लोथ हा त्यांचा नायक होता. त्याच्या गटात चोवीस हजार माणसे होती.Dodai the Ahohite was in charge of the division for the second month, and Mikloth was the leader. There were 24,000 men in his division.

5तिसऱ्या महिन्याचा तिसरा सेनापती बनाया. हा यहोयादाचा पुत्र. यहोयादा हा मुख्य याजक होता. बनायाच्या अधिपत्याखाली चोवीस हजार माणसे होती.The third army commander, as chief for the third month, was Benaiah son of Jehoiada the priest. There were 24,000 men in his division.

6हाच तो बनाया जो तीसांतला शूर व तिसांवर प्रमुख होता. त्याचा पुत्र अम्मीजाबाद बनायाच्याच गटात होता.This Benaiah was mighty among the Thirty and was over the Thirty, and his son Ammizabad was in charge of his division.

12नवव्या महिन्याचा नववा सरदार बन्यामिनी वंशातला अबीयेजर अनाथोथी हा होता. त्याच्या गटात चोवीस हजार सैनिक होते.The ninth, for the ninth month, was Abiezer the Anathothite, a Benjamite. There were 24,000 men in his division.

14अकराव्या महिन्याचा अकरावा सेनापती बनाया. हा पिराथोनचा असून एफ्राइमाच्या वंशातला होता. त्याच्या गटात चोवीस हजार पुरुष होते.The eleventh, for the eleventh month, was Benaiah the Pirathonite, an Ephraimite. There were 24,000 men in his division.

15बाराव्या महिन्याचा बारावा प्रमुख हेल्दय. या अथनिएल कुळातला आणि नटोफाथी इथला होता. त्याच्या तुकडीत चोवीस हजार लोक होते.The twelfth, for the twelfth month, was Heldai the Netophathite, from the family of Othniel. There were 24,000 men in his division.

16इस्राएलाच्या वंशाचे हे प्रमुख असे होते: रऊबेन जिख्रीचा पुत्र अलियेजर. शिमोन: माकाचा पुत्र शफट्या.These officers were in charge of the tribes of Israel: Over the Reubenites was Eliezer son of Zichri; over the Simeonites was Shephatiah son of Maacah;

21गिलादातल्या मनश्शेच्या अर्ध्या वंशाचा अधिकारी जखऱ्याचा पुत्र इद्दो. बन्यामीन वंशाचा अधिकारी अबनेरचा पुत्र यासीएल.over the half-tribe of Manasseh in Gilead was Iddo son of Zechariah; over Benjamin was Jaasiel son of Abner;

22दान वंशाचा यरोहामाचा पुत्र अजरेल. हे झाले इस्राएलांच्या वंशाचे प्रमुख,and over Dan was Azarel son of Jeroham. These were the leaders of the tribes of Israel.

23दावीदाने इस्राएलमधील पुरुषांची मोजदाद करायचे ठरवले. इस्राएलाची लोकसंख्या आकाशातील ताऱ्यांएवढी करीन असे परमेश्वराने सांगितले होते म्हणून इस्राएलांची लोकसंख्या वाढली होती. तेव्हा दावीदाने वीस वर्षाचे आणि त्याहून कमी वयाचे पुरुष यांची मोजणी केली नाही.David did not count the men aged twenty or under, because the LORD had said that He would make Israel as numerous as the stars of the sky.

24सरुवेचा पुत्र यवाब याने मोजदाद करायला सुरुवात केली पण तो ते काम पूर्ण करु शकला नाही. देवाचा इस्राएलाच्या लोकांवर कोप झाला. त्यामुळे ही मोजणी दावीद राजाच्या बखरीत नोंदवलेली नाही.Joab son of Zeruiah began to count the men but did not finish. For because of this census wrath came upon Israel, and the number was not entered in the Book of the Chronicles of King David.

25राजाच्या मालमत्तेची जपणूक करणारे आधिकारी पुढीलप्रमाणे:अदीएलाचा पुत्र अजमावेथ हा राजाच्या भांडारांचा प्रमुख होता. उज्जीयाचा पुत्र योनाथान शेतातल्या, नगरातल्या, गावातल्या आणि किल्ल्यातल्या भांडारांचा प्रमुख होता.Azmaveth son of Adiel was in charge of the royal storehouses. Jonathan son of Uzziah was in charge of the storehouses in the country, in the cities, in the villages, and in the fortresses.

26कलूबचा पुत्र एज्री हा शेतात काम करणाऱ्यांवरचा प्रमुख होता.Ezri son of Chelub was in charge of the workers in the fields who tilled the soil.

27रामा येथील शिमी रामाथी हा द्राक्षीच्या मळ्यांवर होता. द्राक्षीच्या मळ्यांच्या उत्पन्नावर व द्राक्षारसाच्या कोठ्यांवर जब्दी शिफमी हा होता.Shimei the Ramathite was in charge of the vineyards. Zabdi the Shiphmite was in charge of the produce of the vineyards for the wine vats.

28गदेरी हा बाल-हानान जैतूनाची झाडे आणि पश्चिमेकडच्या डोंगराळ भागातली उंबराची झाडे याचा प्रमुख होता. योवाश जैतूनाच्या तेलाच्या कोठाराचा प्रमुख होता.Baal-hanan the Gederite was in charge of the olive and sycamore trees in the foothills. Joash was in charge of the stores of olive oil.

29आणि शित्रय शारोनी हा शारोनात चरणाऱ्या गुरांचा मुख्य होता. अदलयचा पुत्र शाफाट हा दऱ्याखोऱ्यातील गुरांवरचा मुख्य होता.Shitrai the Sharonite was in charge of the herds grazing in Sharon. Shaphat son of Adlai was in charge of the herds in the valleys.

30ओबील इश्माएली हा उंटांवरचा प्रमुख होता. येहद्या मेरोनोथ गाढवांवर मुख्य होता.Obil the Ishmaelite was in charge of the camels. Jehdeiah the Meronothite was in charge of the donkeys.

33अहिथोफेल राजाचा मंत्री आणि हूशय राजाचा मित्र होता. हा अर्की लोकांपैकी होता.Ahithophel was the king’s counselor. Hushai the Archite was the king’s friend.

34अहिथोफेलाची जागा पुढे यहोयादा आणि अब्याथार यांनी घेतली. यहोयादा हा बनायाचा पुत्र. यवाब हा राजाचा सेनापती होता.Ahithophel was succeeded by Jehoiada son of Benaiah, then by Abiathar. Joab was the commander of the king’s army.
