6 ULB एक दिवस असा आला कि त्या दिवशी देवपुत्र परमेश्वरासमोर येऊन उभे राहीले, त्यांच्यामध्ये सैतानही तेथे आला. BSB BSB: One day the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came with them.
7 ULB परमेश्वर सैतानास म्हणाला, “तू कोठून येत आहेस?” नंतर सैतानाने परमेश्वरास उत्तर दिले आणि म्हणाला, “पृथ्वीवर हिंडून फिरून आणि तिच्यावर खाली-वर चालत जाऊन आलो आहे.” BSB BSB: “Where have you come from?” said the LORD to Satan. “From roaming through the earth,” he replied, “and walking back and forth in it.”
8 ULB परमेश्वर सैतानास म्हणाला, “तू माझा सेवक, ईयोब याच्याकडे लक्ष दिलेस काय? पृथ्वीत त्याच्यासारखा सरळ आणि सात्विक, देवभिरू व दुष्टतेपासून दुर राहणारा असा कोणीही मनुष्य नाही.” BSB BSB: Then the LORD said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job? For there is no one on earth like him, a man who is blameless and upright, who fears God and shuns evil.”
9 ULB नंतर सैतानाने परमेश्वरास उत्तर दिले आणि म्हणाला, “ईयोब देवाचे भय ऊगीच बाळगतो काय? BSB BSB: Satan answered the LORD, “Does Job fear God for nothing?
10 ULB तू त्याच्या भोवती, त्याच्या घरासभोवती, आणि त्याच्या सर्वस्वाच्या प्रत्येक बाजूस कुंपण घातले आहेस ना? तू त्याच्या हातांच्या कामांस यश दिले आहेस, आणि भुमीत त्याचे धन वाढत आहे. BSB BSB: Have You not placed a hedge on every side around him and his household and all that he owns? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land.
11 ULB पण जर तू आपला हात पुढे करून त्याच्याजवळ असणाऱ्या सर्वस्वावर टाकशील तर तो आत्ताच तुझ्या तोंडावर तुझा त्याग करील.” BSB BSB: But stretch out Your hand and strike all that he has, and he will surely curse You to Your face.”
12 ULB परमेश्वर सैतानास म्हणाला, “पाहा, त्याचे सर्व जे काही आहे ते तुझ्या अधिकारात आहे, फक्त त्यास तुझ्या हाताचा स्पर्श करू नको.” मग सैतान परमेश्वरापुढून निघून गेला. BSB BSB: “Very well,” said the LORD to Satan. “Everything he has is in your hands, but you must not lay a hand on the man himself.” Then Satan went out from the presence of the LORD.

22 ULB या सर्व स्थितीतही, ईयोबाकडून पाप घडले नाही, देवाने चूक केली आहे असे काही तो मुर्खासारखा बोलला नाही. BSB BSB: In all this, Job did not sin or charge God with wrongdoing.
