1 ULB यानंतर येशू गालील प्रांतात फिरू लागला, कारण यहूदी अधिकारी त्यास ठार मारायला पाहत होते. म्हणून त्यास यहूदीया प्रांतात फिरावेसे वाटले नाही. BSB BSB: After this, Jesus traveled throughout Galilee. He did not want to travel in Judea, because the Jews there were trying to kill Him.
2 ULB यहूद्यांचा मंडपाचा सण जवळ आला होता. BSB BSB: However, the Jewish Feast of Tabernacles was near.

10 ULB पण त्याचे भाऊ सणाला वर गेल्यानंतर तोसुध्दा, उघडपणे न जाता गुप्तपणे वर गेला. BSB BSB: But after His brothers had gone up to the feast, He also went—not publicly, but in secret.
11 ULB तेव्हा, यहूदी त्यास सणात शोधीत होते आणि म्हणत होते, “तो आहे तरी कोठे?” BSB BSB: So the Jews were looking for Him at the feast and asking, “Where is He?”

16 ULB त्यावरून येशूने त्यांना उत्तर देऊन म्हटले, “माझी शिकवण माझी नाही तर ज्याने मला पाठविले त्याची आहे. BSB BSB: “My teaching is not My own,” Jesus replied. “It comes from Him who sent Me.
17 ULB जो कोणी त्याच्या इच्छेप्रमाणे करण्याची इच्छा बाळगील त्यालाही शिकवण देवापासून आहे किंवा मी आपल्या मनाचे बोलतो हे समजेल. BSB BSB: If anyone desires to do His will, he will know whether My teaching is from God or whether I speak on My own.

20 ULB लोकांनी त्यास उत्तर देऊन म्हटले, “तुला भूत लागले आहे. तुला ठार मारायला कोण पाहतो?” BSB BSB: “You have a demon,” the crowd replied. “Who is trying to kill You?”
21 ULB येशूने त्यांना उत्तर देऊन म्हटले, “मी एक कृत्य केले व त्यामुळे तुम्ही सर्व आश्चर्य करता. BSB BSB: Jesus answered them, “I did one miracle, and you are all amazed.
22 ULB मोशेने तुम्हास सुंता लावून दिली (तरी ती मोशेपासून नाही, पण पूर्वजांपासून आहे.) आणि तुम्ही शब्बाथ दिवशी मनुष्याची सुंता करता. BSB BSB: But because Moses gave you circumcision, you circumcise a boy on the Sabbath (not that it is from Moses, but from the patriarchs.)

25 ULB यावरुन यरुशलेमकरांपैकी कित्येकजण म्हणू लागले, “ज्याला ठार मारायला पाहतात तो हाच ना? BSB BSB: Then some of the people of Jerusalem began to say, “Isn’t this the man they are trying to kill?

28 ULB यावरुन येशू परमेश्वराच्या भवनात शिक्षण देत असता मोठ्याने म्हणाला, “तुम्ही मला ओळखता आणि मी कुठला आहे हे तुम्ही जाणता; तरीही मी आपण होऊन आलो नाही; ज्याने मला पाठवले तो खरा आहे त्यास तुम्ही ओळखत नाही. BSB BSB: Then Jesus, still teaching in the temple courts, cried out, “You know Me, and you know where I am from. I have not come of My own accord, but He who sent Me is true. You do not know Him,

31 ULB तेव्हा लोकसमुदायातील पुष्कळांनी त्याच्यावर विश्वास ठेवला व ते म्हणू लागले, “ख्रिस्त येईल तेव्हा याने केलेल्या चिन्हांपेक्षा तो काही अधिक काय करणार आहे?” BSB BSB: Many in the crowd, however, believed in Him and said, “When the Christ comes, will He perform more signs than this man?”
32 ULB लोकसमुदाय त्याच्याविषयी अशी कुजबुज करत आहे हे परूश्यांच्या कानावर गेले आणि मुख्य याजक लोक व परूश्यांनी त्यास धरण्यास कामदार पाठवले. BSB BSB: When the Pharisees heard the crowd whispering these things about Jesus, they and the chief priests sent officers to arrest Him.

35 ULB यामुळे यहूदी आपसात म्हणाले, “हा आपल्याला सापडणार नाही असा हा कोठे जाईल? हा ग्रीकमधील आपल्या पांगलेल्या यहूदी लोकांस जाऊन त्यांस शिकवील काय? BSB BSB: At this, the Jews said to one another, “Where does He intend to go that we will not find Him? Will He go where the Jews are dispersed among the Greeks, and teach the Greeks?

38 ULB जो माझ्यावर विश्वास ठेवतो त्याच्या अंतःकरणातून शास्त्रलेखात सांगितल्याप्रमाणे जिवंत पाण्याच्या नद्या वाहतील.” BSB BSB: Whoever believes in Me, as the Scripture has said: ‘Streams of living water will flow from within him.’”

42 ULB दाविदाच्या वंशाचा आणि ज्या गावात दावीद होता त्या बेथलेहेमातून ख्रिस्त येईल अस शास्त्रलेख म्हणत नाही काय?” BSB BSB: Doesn’t the Scripture say that the Christ will come from the line of David and from Bethlehem, the village where David lived?”
43 ULB यावरुन त्याच्यामुळे लोकात फूट झाली. BSB BSB: So there was division in the crowd because of Jesus.
44 ULB त्यांच्यातील कित्येकजण त्यास धरायला पाहत होते, तरी कोणी त्याच्यावर हात टाकले नाहीत. BSB BSB: Some of them wanted to seize Him, but no one laid a hand on Him.
45 ULB मग कामदार मुख्य याजकांकडे व परूश्यांकडे आले, तेव्हा ते त्यांना म्हणाले, “तुम्ही त्यास का आणले नाही?” BSB BSB: Then the officers returned to the chief priests and Pharisees, who asked them, “Why didn’t you bring Him in?”
46 ULB कामदारांनी उत्तर दिले, “कोणीही मनुष्य त्याच्यासारखा कधी बोलला नाही.” BSB BSB: “Never has anyone spoken like this man!” the officers answered.
47 ULB तेव्हा परूश्यांनी त्यांना उत्तर दिले, “तुम्हीपण फसलात काय? BSB BSB: “Have you also been deceived?” replied the Pharisees.
48 ULB अधिकार्‍यांपैकी किंवा परूश्यांपैकी कोणी त्याच्यावर विश्वास ठेवला आहे काय? BSB BSB: “Have any of the rulers or Pharisees believed in Him?
49 ULB पण हा जो लोकसमुदाय नियमशास्त्र जाणत नाही तो शापित आहे.” BSB BSB: But this crowd that does not know the law—they are under a curse.”
50 ULB पूर्वी त्याच्याकडे आलेला आणि त्यांच्यातला एक असलेला निकदेम त्यांना म्हणाला. BSB BSB: Nicodemus, who had gone to Jesus earlier and who himself was one of them, asked,
51 ULB “एखाद्या मनुष्याचे ऐकण्याअगोदर आणि तो काय करतो याची माहीती करून घेतल्यावाचून आपले नियमशास्त्र त्याचा न्याय करते काय?” BSB BSB: “Does our law convict a man without first hearing from him to determine what he has done?”
52 ULB त्यांनी त्यास उत्तर देऊन म्हटले, “तुम्हीपण गालील प्रांतातले आहात काय? शोधा आणि बघा, कारण गालील प्रांतातून संदेष्टा उद्भवत नाही.” BSB BSB: “Aren’t you also from Galilee?” they replied. “Look into it, and you will see that no prophet comes out of Galilee.”
