BSB BSB: Now the Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread were two days away, and the chief priests and scribes were looking for a covert way to arrest Jesus and kill Him.

19 ULB शिष्य अतिशय खिन्न झाले व प्रत्येकजण त्यास म्हणू लागला, “तो मी आहे का?” BSB BSB: They began to be grieved and to ask Him one after another, “Surely not I?”
20 ULB तो त्यांना म्हणाला, “बारा जणांपैकी एक जो माझ्याबरोबर ताटात भाकर बुडवत आहे तोच. BSB BSB: He answered, “It is one of the Twelve—the one who is dipping his hand into the bowl with Me.

It would be better for him if he had not been born.”

26 ULB नंतर त्यांनी उपकारस्तुतीचे गीत गाईले व ते जैतुनाच्या डोंगराकडे निघून गेले. BSB BSB: And when they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.
27 ULB येशू शिष्यांना म्हणाला, “तुम्ही सर्व अडखळून पडाल कारण असे लिहिले आहे की, ‘मी मेंढपाळास मारीन आणि मेंढरांची दाणादाण होईल.’ BSB BSB: Then Jesus said to them, “You will all fall away, for it is written: ‘I will strike the Shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered.’
28 ULB परंतु माझे पुनरुत्थान झाल्यावर मी तुमच्यापुढे गालील प्रांतात जाईन.” BSB BSB: But after I have risen, I will go ahead of you into Galilee.”
29 ULB पेत्र म्हणाला, जरी सर्व अडखळले तरी मी अडखळणार नाही. BSB BSB: Peter declared, “Even if all fall away, I never will.”

31 ULB तरीही पेत्र अधिक आवेशाने म्हणाला, “जरी मला आपणाबरोबर मरावे लागले तरीसुद्धा मी आपणाला नाकारणार नाही.” आणि इतर सर्वजण तसेच म्हणाले. BSB BSB: But Peter kept insisting, “Even if I have to die with You, I will never deny You.” And all the others said the same thing.

35 ULB त्यांच्यापासून थोडे दूर अंतरावर जाऊन तो जमिनीवर पडला आणि त्याने प्रार्थना केली की, “शक्य असेल तर ही घटका मजपासून टळून जावो.” BSB BSB: Going a little farther, He fell to the ground and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour would pass from Him.

BSB BSB: When Jesus returned the third time, He said, “Are you still sleeping and resting? That is enough! The hour has come. Look, the Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.

BSB BSB: While Jesus was still speaking, Judas, one of the Twelve, arrived, accompanied by a crowd armed with swords and clubs, sent from the chief priests, scribes, and elders.
44 ULB घात करून देणाऱ्याने त्यांना अशी खूण दिली होती की, “मी ज्या कोणाचे चुंबन घेईन तोच तो आहे, त्यास धरा आणि सांभाळून न्या.” BSB BSB: Now the betrayer had arranged a signal with them: “The One I kiss is the man; arrest Him and lead Him away securely.”
45 ULB मग यहूदा आल्याबरोबर तो येशूकडे गेला आणि म्हणाला, “रब्बी!” आणि असे म्हणून यहूदाने येशूचे चुंबन घेतले. BSB BSB: Going directly to Jesus, he said, “Rabbi!” and kissed Him.

50 ULB सर्व शिष्य त्यास सोडून पळून गेले. BSB BSB: Then everyone deserted Him and fled.
51 ULB एक तरूण मनुष्य अंगावर तागाचे वस्त्र पांघरून त्याच्यामागे चालत होता. त्यांनी त्यास धरले, BSB BSB: One young man who had been following Jesus was wearing a linen cloth around his body. They caught hold of him,
52 ULB परंतु तो तागाचे वस्त्र टाकून उघडाच पळून गेला. BSB BSB: but he pulled free of the linen cloth and ran away naked.
53 ULB नंतर त्यांनी येशूला तेथून महायाजकाकडे नेले आणि सर्व मुख्य याजक लोक, वडील व नियमशास्त्राचे शिक्षक जमा झाले. BSB BSB: They led Jesus away to the high priest, and all the chief priests, elders, and scribes assembled.
54 ULB थोडे अंतर ठेवून पेत्र येशूच्या मागे सरळ महायाजकाच्या वाड्यात गेला. तेथे पेत्र कामदारांबरोबर विस्तवाजवळ शेकत बसला. BSB BSB: Peter followed Him at a distance, right into the courtyard of the high priest. And he sat with the officers and warmed himself by the fire.
55 ULB मुख्य याजक लोक आणि सर्व यहूदी सभा येशूला जिवे मारण्यासाठी पुरावा गोळा करण्याचा प्रयत्न करीत होते. परंतु त्यांना काही मिळेना. BSB BSB: Now the chief priests and the whole Sanhedrin were seeking testimony against Jesus to put Him to death, but they did not find any.
56 ULB पुष्कळांनी त्याच्याविरुध्द खोटी साक्ष दिली. परंतु त्यांची साक्ष सारखी नव्हती. BSB BSB: For many bore false witness against Jesus, but their testimony was inconsistent.

63 ULB महायाजकाने आपले कपडे फाडले आणि म्हणाला, “आपणाला अधिक साक्षीदारांची काय गरज आहे? BSB BSB: At this, the high priest tore his clothes and declared, “Why do we need any more witnesses?
64 ULB तुम्ही निंदा ऐकली आहे. तुम्हास काय वाटते?” सर्वांनी त्यास मरणदंड योग्य आहे अशी शिक्षा फर्मावली. BSB BSB: You have heard the blasphemy. What is your verdict?” And they all condemned Him as deserving of death.

BSB BSB: Then some of them began to spit on Him. They blindfolded Him, struck Him with their fists, and said to Him, “Prophesy!” And the officers received Him with slaps in His face.

72 ULB आणि लगेच दुसऱ्यांदा कोंबडा आरवला, “दोन वेळा कोंबडा आरवण्यापूर्वी तू मला तीन वेळा नाकारशील,” असे येशू म्हणाला होता याची पेत्राला आठवण झाली व तो अतिशय दुःखी झाला व मोठ्याने रडला. BSB BSB: And immediately the rooster crowed a second time. Then Peter remembered the word that Jesus had spoken to him: “Before the rooster crows twice, you will deny Me three times.” And he broke down and wept.
