3 NPIONCB यसकारण हे माननीय थियोफिलस, मैले सुरुदेखि नै सबै कुराको सावधानीपूर्वक खोजी गरेको हुनाले तपाईंका निम्ति ती सबै कुराहरूको एक क्रमवद्ध विवरण लेख्न मलाई पनि उचित लाग्यो, BSB BSB: Therefore, having carefully investigated everything from the beginning, it seemed good also to me to write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theophilus,
4 NPIONCB जसबाट तपाईंलाई सिकाइएका कुराहरूको सत्यता तपाईंलाई थाहा होस्। BSB BSB: so that you may know the certainty of the things you have been taught.

12 NPIONCB दूतलाई देखेर जकरिया आत्तिए र डराए। BSB BSB: When Zechariah saw him, he was startled and gripped with fear.
13 NPIONCB तर स्वर्गदूतले तिनलाई भने, “नडराऊ, जकरिया तिम्रो प्रार्थनाको सुनुवाइ भएको छ। तिम्री पत्नी एलीशिबाले तिम्रा निम्ति एउटा पुत्र जन्माउनेछिन्, र तिमीले तिनको नाम यूहन्ना राख्नू। BSB BSB: But the angel said to him, “Do not be afraid, Zechariah, because your prayer has been heard. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you are to give him the name John.
14 NPIONCB तिनी तिम्रा निम्ति आनन्द र रमाहट हुनेछन्, र तिनको जन्मको कारण धेरै जना रमाउनेछन्। BSB BSB: He will be a joy and delight to you, and many will rejoice at his birth,

He shall never take wine or strong drink, and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit even from his mother’s womb.

He kept making signs to them but remained unable to speak.

32 NPIONCB उहाँ महान् हुनुहुनेछ र परमप्रधानका पुत्र कहलाइनुहुनेछ। प्रभु परमेश्वरले उहाँलाई उहाँका पुर्खा दावीदको सिंहासन दिनुहुनेछ। BSB BSB: He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David,
33 NPIONCB अनि उहाँले याकोबको घरानामाथि सदासर्वदा राज्य गर्नुहुनेछ, र उहाँको राज्यको अन्त्य कहिल्यै हुनेछैन।” BSB BSB: and He will reign over the house of Jacob forever. His kingdom will never end!”

So the Holy One to be born will be called the Son of God.
36 NPIONCB यसै गरी तिम्री नातेदार एलीशिबाले पनि आफ्नो वृद्ध उमेरमा एउटा पुत्र जन्माउनेछिन्; र बाँझी भनिएकी तिनी अहिले गर्भधारणको छैटौँ महिनामा छिन्। BSB BSB: Look, even Elizabeth your relative has conceived a son in her old age, and she who was called barren is in her sixth month.
37 NPIONCB किनकि परमेश्वरका निम्ति कुनै पनि कुरा असम्भव छैन।” BSB BSB: For no word from God will ever fail.”
39 NPIONCB त्यस समयमा मरियम तयार भइन् र हतार-हतार यहूदिया प्रदेशको पहाडतर्फको एउटा गाउँमा गइन्; जहाँ एलीशिबा र जकरिया बस्दथे। BSB BSB: In those days Mary got ready and hurried to a town in the hill country of Judah,
40 NPIONCB तिनले जकरियाको घरभित्र पसेर एलीशिबालाई अभिवादन गरिन्। BSB BSB: where she entered the home of Zechariah and greeted Elizabeth.
41 NPIONCB एलीशिबाले मरियमको अभिवादन सुन्नेबित्तिकै तिनको गर्भमा रहेको बालक उफ्रियो; र एलीशिबा पवित्र आत्माले भरिइन्। BSB BSB: When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.

44 NPIONCB तिम्रो अभिवादनको आवाज मेरो कानमा पर्नेबित्तिकै मेरो गर्भको बालक आनन्दले उफ्रियो। BSB BSB: For as soon as the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy.
45 NPIONCB धन्य हुन् तिनी, जसले तिनलाई प्रभुले भन्नुभएका कुरा पूरा हुनेछन् भनी विश्वास गरिन्।” BSB BSB: Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord’s word to her will be fulfilled.”
47 NPIONCB र मेरो आत्मा मेरा मुक्तिदाता परमेश्वरमा रमाहट गर्दछ। BSB BSB: and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior!
49 NPIONCB किनकि सर्वशक्तिमान्ले मेरा निम्ति महान् काम गर्नुभएको छ: उहाँको नाम पवित्र होस्। BSB BSB: For the Mighty One has done great things for me. Holy is His name.
50 NPIONCB उहाँको करुणा उहाँको भय मान्नेहरूका निम्ति पुस्तादेखि पुस्तासम्म रहिरहन्छ। BSB BSB: His mercy extends to those who fear Him, from generation to generation.
51 NPIONCB उहाँले आफ्ना बाहुलीद्वारा शक्तिशाली कामहरू गर्नुभएको छ। आफ्नो मनको विचारमा घमण्ड गर्नेहरूलाई उहाँले तितरबितर पार्नुभएको छ। BSB BSB: He has performed mighty deeds with His arm; He has scattered those who are proud in the thoughts of their hearts.

56 NPIONCB मरियम एलीशिबासँग लगभग तीन महिना बसेर घर फर्किन्। BSB BSB: Mary stayed with Elizabeth for about three months and then returned home.
57 NPIONCB जब एलीशिबाको सुत्केरी हुने बेला आयो, तब तिनले एउटा छोरा जन्माइन्। BSB BSB: When the time came for Elizabeth to have her child, she gave birth to a son.
58 NPIONCB तिनका छिमेकी र नातेदारहरूले प्रभुले तिनीमाथि उहाँको ठूलो कृपा देखाउनुभएको छ भन्ने सुने, र तिनको आनन्दमा सँगै रमाए। BSB BSB: Her neighbors and relatives heard that the Lord had shown her great mercy, and they rejoiced with her.
59 NPIONCB आठौँ दिनमा तिनीहरू बालकलाई खतना गर्न आए, र तिनीहरूले बालकको नाम उसको बुबाझैँ जकरिया राख्न लागेका थिए। BSB BSB: On the eighth day, when they came to circumcise the child, they were going to name him after his father Zechariah.
60 NPIONCB तर बालककी आमाले भनिन्, “होइन! तर त्यसको नाम यूहन्ना राखिनेछ।” BSB BSB: But his mother replied, “No! He shall be called John.”

62 NPIONCB त्यसपछि तिनीहरूले त्यसका बुबाले बालकलाई के नाम दिन चाहन्छन् भनी जान्न उनलाई इशारा गरी सोधे। BSB BSB: So they made signs to his father to find out what he wanted to name the child.
63 NPIONCB उनले एउटा लेख्ने पाटी मगाएर “उसको नाम यूहन्ना हो” भनी लेखिदिए। यो देखेर सबै छक्क परे BSB BSB: Zechariah asked for a tablet and wrote, “His name is John.” And they were all amazed.
64 NPIONCB तुरुन्तै तिनको मुख र जिब्रो खुल्यो, र बोली पनि फुट्यो। अनि उनी परमेश्वरको प्रशंसा गर्दै बोल्न थाले। BSB BSB: Immediately Zechariah’s mouth was opened and his tongue was released, and he began to speak, praising God.
65 NPIONCB यो देखेर छिमेकीहरू सबैमा डर छायो; र यहूदिया प्रदेशका सम्पूर्ण पहाडी मुलुकभरि मानिसहरूले यी सबै कुराका बारेमा चर्चा गरे। BSB BSB: All their neighbors were filled with awe, and people throughout the hill country of Judea were talking about these events.
66 NPIONCB यी कुरा सुन्नेहरू सबैले “यो बालक अब कस्तो होला?” भन्दै विचार गर्न लागे। किनकि प्रभुको बाहुली तिनीमाथि थियो। BSB BSB: And all who heard this wondered in their hearts and asked, “What then will this child become?” For the Lord’s hand was with him.

69 NPIONCB उहाँले आफ्ना सेवक दावीदको वंशमा हाम्रा निम्ति एउटा शक्तिशाली राजा, हाम्रा उद्धारको निम्ति पठाउनुभएको छ। BSB BSB: He has raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of His servant David,
70 NPIONCB जसरी आफ्ना पवित्र अगमवक्ताहरूद्वारा उहाँले परापूर्व कालदेखि नै बोल्नुभएको थियो; BSB BSB: as He spoke through His holy prophets, those of ages past,
71 NPIONCB हाम्रा शत्रुहरूबाट र हामीलाई घृणा गर्नेहरू सबैका हातबाट हामीलाई उद्धार गर्नलाई, BSB BSB: salvation from our enemies and from the hand of all who hate us,
72 NPIONCB हाम्रा पुर्खाहरूलाई कृपा देखाउनलाई र उहाँको पवित्र करार स्मरण गर्नलाई, BSB BSB: to show mercy to our fathers and to remember His holy covenant,
73 NPIONCB जुन शपथ उहाँले हाम्रा पुर्खा अब्राहामसँग गर्नुभएको थियो, BSB BSB: the oath He swore to our father Abraham, to grant us
74 NPIONCB हामीलाई हाम्रा शत्रुहरूका हातबाट छुटाउनलाई र निर्भयतासाथ पवित्रता र धार्मिकतामा, BSB BSB: deliverance from hostile hands, that we may serve Him without fear,
75 NPIONCB हाम्रो सम्पूर्ण जीवनभरि नै उहाँको सामु उहाँको सेवा गर्ने तुल्याउनलाई। BSB BSB: in holiness and righteousness before Him all the days of our lives.
76 NPIONCB “अनि तिमी मेरो बालक, सर्वोच्चका अगमवक्ता भनिनेछौ। किनकि उहाँका निम्ति बाटो तयार पार्न तिमी प्रभुको अगि-अगि जानेछौ। BSB BSB: And you, child, will be called a prophet of the Most High; for you will go on before the Lord to prepare the way for Him,
77 NPIONCB उहाँका मानिसहरूलाई तिनीहरूका पाप क्षमाद्वारा मुक्तिको ज्ञान दिनलाई, BSB BSB: to give to His people the knowledge of salvation through the forgiveness of their sins,
78 NPIONCB हाम्रा परमेश्वरको कोमल कृपाको कारणले, जसद्वारा हाम्रा निम्ति स्वर्गबाट उदाउँदो सूर्य आउनेछ। BSB BSB: because of the tender mercy of our God, by which the Dawn will visit us from on high,
79 NPIONCB अन्धकार र मृत्युको छायामा बस्नेहरूमाथि ज्योति चम्कनलाई, हाम्रा पाउहरूलाई शान्तिको बाटोमा डोर्याउनलाई।” BSB BSB: to shine on those who live in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the path of peace.”
80 NPIONCB बालक बढ्दै र आत्मामा बलियो हुँदैगए। इस्राएलमा सार्वजनिक रूपमा देखा परेर सेवा सुरु नगरुन्जेल उनी उजाडस्थानमा नै बसे। BSB BSB: And the child grew and became strong in spirit; and he lived in the wilderness until the time of his public appearance to Israel.
