1. 1NPIULBसारा एक सय सत्ताइस वर्ष बाँचिन् । साराका जीवनमा वर्षहरू यी नै थिए ।BSBBSB: Now Sarah lived to be 127 years old.
2. 2NPIULBसारा कनान देशको किर्यत-अर्बा अर्थात् हेब्रोनमा मरिन् । अब्राहामले साराको निम्ति शोक र विलाप गरे ।BSBBSB: She died in Kiriath-arba (that is, Hebron) in the land of Canaan, and Abraham went out to mourn and to weep for her.
3. 3NPIULBत्यसपछि अब्राहाम आफ्नी पत्नीको लाश भएको ठाउँबाट उठे, र हेतका छोराहरूलाई यसो भने,BSBBSB: Then Abraham got up from beside his dead wife and said to the Hittites,
4. 4NPIULB“म तपाईंहरूका बिचमा एक प्रवासी हुँ । मसँग भएको लाशलाई गाड्न चिहानको लागि तपाईंहरूसँग भएको कुनै जमिन मलाई दिनुहोस् ।”BSBBSB: “I am a foreigner and an outsider among you. Give me a burial site among you so that I can bury my dead.”
5. 5NPIULBहेतका छोराहरूले अब्राहामलाई भने,BSBBSB: The Hittites replied to Abraham,
6. 6NPIULB“मालिक, हाम्रा कुरा सुन्नुहोस् । तपाईं हाम्रो बिचमा परमेश्वरका राजकुमार हुनुहुन्छ । हाम्रा चिहानमध्ये सबैभन्दा असलचाहिँ छानेर लाश गाड्नुहोस् । तपाईंले लाशलाई गाड्नुहोस्, हामीमध्ये कसैले पनि आफ्नो चिहान तपाईंलाई दिन इन्कार गर्नेछैन ।”BSBBSB: “Listen to us, sir. You are God’s chosen one among us. Bury your dead in the finest of our tombs. None of us will withhold his tomb for burying your dead.”
7. 7NPIULBतब अब्राहामले उठेर त्यस देशका मानिसहरू अर्थात् हेतका छोराहरूका अगि निहुरेर दण्डवत् गरे ।BSBBSB: Then Abraham rose and bowed down before the people of the land, the Hittites.
8. 8NPIULBतिनले तिनीहरूलाई यसो भने, “यदि मैले यो लाश गाड्न तपाईंहरूलाई मन्जुर छ भने मेरो कुरो सुन्नुहोस् र सोहोरका छोरा एप्रोनसित मेरो निम्ति बिन्ती गरिदिनुहोस् ।BSBBSB: “If you are willing for me to bury my dead,” he said to them, “listen to me, and approach Ephron son of Zohar on my behalf
9. 9NPIULBउनका खेतको छेउमा भएको आफ्नो मक्पेलाको ओडार मलाई बेच्न भनिदिनुहोस् । उनले त्यो जमिन पुरा दाममा गाड्ने ठाउँको निम्ति सार्वजनिक रूपमा मलाई बेचून् ।”BSBBSB: to sell me the cave of Machpelah that belongs to him; it is at the end of his field. Let him sell it to me in your presence for full price, so that I may have a burial site.”
10. 10NPIULBत्यस बेला एप्रोन हेतका छोराहरूका माझमा बसिरहेका थिए, र जति जना उनका सहरको प्रवेशद्वारको अगाडि आएका थिए, ती सबैले सुन्ने गरी हित्ती एप्रोनले अब्राहामलाई भने,BSBBSB: Now Ephron was sitting among the sons of Heth. So in the presence of all the Hittites who had come to the gate of his city, Ephron the Hittite answered Abraham,
11. 11NPIULB“होइन, मेरा प्रभु, मेरो कुरा सुन्नुहोस् । म तपाईंलाई त्यो खेत र त्यसमा भएको ओडार पनि दिन्छु । मेरा मानिसहरूका छोराहरूकै सामुन्ने म त्यो तपाईंलाई दिन्छु। म तपाईंलाई लाश गाड्नको निम्ति त्यो दिन्छु ।”BSBBSB: “No, my lord. Listen to me. I give you the field, and I give you the cave that is in it. I give it to you in the presence of my people. Bury your dead.”
12. 12NPIULBअब्राहामले फेरि त्यस देशका मानिसहरूलाई दण्डवत् गरे ।BSBBSB: Again Abraham bowed down before the people of the land
13. 13NPIULBअनि तिनले त्यस ठाउँका मानिसहरूले सुन्ने गरी एप्रोनलाई भने, “तर यदि तपाईंको मन्जुरी भए मेरो कुरा सुन्नुहोस् । म त्यस जग्गाको मोल तिर्नेछु । मबाट पैसा लिनुहोस्, र म त्यहाँ लाश गाड्नेछुBSBBSB: and said to Ephron in their presence, “If you will please listen to me, I will pay you the price of the field. Accept it from me, so that I may bury my dead there.”
14. 14NPIULB।” एप्रोनले अब्राहामलाई भने,BSBBSB: Ephron answered Abraham,
15. 15NPIULB“हे मेरा प्रभु, मेरो कुरा सुन्नुहोस् । जग्गाको मोल चाँदीका चार सय सिक्का हो, तर मेरो र तपाईंको बीचमा त्यो के हो र? लाशलाई गाड्नुहोस् ।”BSBBSB: “Listen to me, my lord. The land is worth four hundred shekels of silver, but what is that between you and me? Bury your dead.”
16. 16NPIULBअब्राहामले एप्रोनको कुरा माने र तिनले एप्रोनलाई हेतका छोराहरूका सामुन्ने उनले भने जस्तै व्यापारीहरूमा प्रचलित तौलबमोजिम चाँदीका चार सय सिक्का जोखेर उनलाई दिए ।BSBBSB: Abraham agreed to Ephron’s terms and weighed out for him the price he had named in the hearing of the Hittites: four hundred shekels of silver, according to the standard of the merchants.
17. 17NPIULBयसरी मक्पेलामा मम्रेनेरको एप्रोनको खेत र त्यसभित्र भएका ओडार र रूखहरूसमेत एप्रोनलेBSBBSB: So Ephron’s field at Machpelah near Mamre, the cave that was in it, and all the trees within the boundaries of the field were deeded over
18. 18NPIULBत्यस सहरका ढोकाको अगाडि आएकाहरू हेतका छोराहरू सबैका सामु अब्राहामको अधिकारमा दिए ।BSBBSB: to Abraham’s possession in the presence of all the Hittites who had come to the gate of his city.
19. 19NPIULBत्यसपछि अब्राहामले आफ्नी पत्नी सारालाई कनान देशमा मम्रेनेरको, अर्थात् हेब्रोनमा भएको मक्पेलाक खेतको ओडारमा गाडे ।BSBBSB: After this, Abraham buried his wife Sarah in the cave of the field at Machpelah near Mamre (that is, Hebron) in the land of Canaan.
20. 20NPIULBयसरी त्यो खेत र त्यसमा भएको ओडारसमेत हित्तीहरूका तर्फबाट चिहानको रूपमा अब्राहामको अधिकारमा भयो ।BSBBSB: So the field and its cave were deeded by the Hittites to Abraham as a burial site.
