1. 1NPIULBयोसेफले तिनको घरको भण्डारेलाई आज्ञा दिए, “ती मानिसहरूले लैजान सक्नेजति अनाज तिनीहरूका बोराहरूमा भरिदेऊ, र हरेकको बोराको मुखमा हरेकको रुपियाँ-पैसा पनि हालिदेऊ ।BSBBSB: Then Joseph instructed his steward: “Fill the men’s sacks with as much food as they can carry, and put each one’s silver in the mouth of his sack.
2. 2NPIULBकान्छोको बोराको मुखमा मेरो चाँदीको कचौरा र तिनले अनाजको लागि ल्याएको रुपियाँ-पैसा पनि हालिदेऊ ।” भण्डारेले योसेफले भनेझैँ गर्यो ।BSBBSB: Put my cup, the silver one, in the mouth of the youngest one’s sack, along with the silver for his grain.” So the steward did as Joseph had instructed.
3. 3NPIULBबिहान भएपछि ती मानिसहरू आ-आफ्ना गधाहरूसँगै पठाइए ।BSBBSB: At daybreak, the men were sent on their way with their donkeys.
4. 4NPIULBतिनीहरू सहरबाट केही पर पुग्दा योसेफले आफ्नो भण्डारेलाई भने, “उठ, र ती मानिसहरूको पिछा गर । तिनीहरूलाई भेट्टाएपछि यसो भन्नू, 'किन तिमीहरूले भलाइको सट्टा खराबी गर्यौ?BSBBSB: They had not gone far from the city when Joseph told his steward, “Pursue the men at once, and when you overtake them, ask, ‘Why have you repaid good with evil?

8. 8NPIULBहामीले हाम्रा बोराहरूका मुखमा फेला पारेका रुपियाँ-पैसा त हामीले कनान देशबाट फेरि तपाईंकहाँ फर्काएर ल्यायौँ । तब कसरी हामीले हाम्रा मालिकको घरबाट चाँदी वा सुन चोर्न सक्छौँ?BSBBSB: We even brought back to you from the land of Canaan the silver we found in the mouths of our sacks. Why would we steal silver or gold from your master’s house?
9. 9NPIULBतपाईंको कुनै पनि दाससित त्यो कचौरा फेला पारियो भने त्यो मारियोस्, र हामी आफै पनि तपाईंका दास हुनेछौँ ।”BSBBSB: If any of your servants is found to have it, he must die, and the rest will become slaves of my lord.”
10. 10NPIULBभण्डारेले भन्यो, “अब तपाईंहरूकै वचनअनुसार नै होस् । जससित त्यो कचौरा पाइन्छ, त्यो मेरो दास बनोस्, र अरूहरू निर्दोष हुनेछन् ।”BSBBSB: “As you say,” replied the steward. “But only the one who is found with the cup will be my slave, and the rest of you shall be free of blame.”
11. 11NPIULBत्यसपछि हरेक मानिसले हतार-हतारमा आ-आफ्नो बोरा भुइँमा झारी तिनीहरूले आ-आफ्ना बोरा खोल्यो ।BSBBSB: So each one quickly lowered his sack to the ground and opened it.
12. 12NPIULBभण्डारेले खोजी गर्यो । त्यसले जेठोबाट सुरु गरेर कान्छोमा टुङ्ग्यायो, अनि त्यो कचौरा बेन्यामीनको बोरामा फेला पारियो ।BSBBSB: The steward searched, beginning with the oldest and ending with the youngest—and the cup was found in Benjamin’s sack.
13. 13NPIULBत्यसपछि तिनीहरूले आफ्ना लुगा च्याते । हरेकले आ-आफ्नो गधा लादेर तिनीहरू सहर फर्के ।BSBBSB: Then they all tore their clothes, loaded their donkeys, and returned to the city.
14. 14NPIULBयहूदा र तिनका दाजुभाइहरू योसेफको घरमा फर्के । तिनी अझै पनि त्यहीँ नै थिए र तिनीहरूले भुइँसम्मै निहुरेर तिनलाई ढोग गरे ।BSBBSB: When Judah and his brothers arrived at Joseph’s house, he was still there, and they fell to the ground before him.
15. 15NPIULBयोसेफले तिनीहरूलाई भने, “तिमीहरूले यो के गरेको? मजस्तो मानिसले शकून-अपशकून गर्छ भनी के तिमीहरूलाई थाहा छैन?”BSBBSB: “What is this deed you have done?” Joseph declared. “Do you not know that a man like me can surely divine the truth?”
16. 16NPIULBयहूदाले भने, “मेरा मालिकलाई हामी के भनौँ? हामी के बोलौँ? वा हामीले आफूलाई कसरी सफाइ दिऔँ? परमेश्वरले तपाईंका दासहरूको अपराध पत्ता लगाउनुभएको छ । हेर्नुहोस्, हामी मेरा मालिकहरूका दास हुन्छौँ– हामी र त्यो व्यक्ति जसको हातमा त्यो कचौरा फेला पर्यो ।BSBBSB: “What can we say to my lord?” Judah replied. “How can we plead? How can we justify ourselves? God has exposed the iniquity of your servants. We are now my lord’s slaves—both we and the one who was found with the cup.”
17. 17NPIULBयोसेफले भने, “मबाट यस्तो कहिल्यै हुनेछैन । त्यो मानिस जसको हातमा कचौरा फेरा पारियो, त्यो मात्रै मेरो दास हुनेछ । तर तिमीहरूचाहिँ शान्तिसित आफ्ना पिताकहाँ जाओ ।”BSBBSB: But Joseph replied, “Far be it from me to do this. The man who was found with the cup will be my slave. The rest of you may return to your father in peace.”
18. 18NPIULBत्यसपछि यहूदा योसेफको नजिक आएर भने, “मेरा मालिक, बिन्ती छ, कि हजुरको दासलाई एउटा वचन बोल्न दिनुहोस् किनकि तपाईं फारोसमान हुनुहुन्छ ।BSBBSB: Then Judah approached Joseph and said, “Sir, please let your servant speak personally to my lord. Do not be angry with your servant, for you are equal to Pharaoh himself.
19. 19NPIULBमेरा मालिकले आफ्ना दासहरूलाई यसो भनी सोध्नुभयो, 'के तिमीहरूका पिता वा भाइ छ?'BSBBSB: My lord asked his servants, ‘Do you have a father or a brother?’
20. 20NPIULBहामीले हजुरलाई भन्यौँ, 'हाम्रा वृद्ध पिता हुनुहुन्छ, र उहाँले बुढेसकालमा जन्माउनुभएको उहाँको एउटा छोरो पनि छ । तर तिनका दाजु मरिसके, र तिनकी आमापट्टिबाट तिनी मात्रै बाँकी छन्, र तिनका पिताले तिनलाई माया गर्नुहुन्छ ।'BSBBSB: And we answered, ‘We have an elderly father and a younger brother, the child of his old age. The boy’s brother is dead. He is the only one of his mother’s sons left, and his father loves him.’
21. 21NPIULBत्यसपछि तपाईंले आफ्ना दासहरूलाई भन्नुभयो, 'तिनलाई लिएर आओ ताकि मैले तिनलाई देख्न सकूँ ।'BSBBSB: Then you told your servants, ‘Bring him down to me so that I can see him for myself.’
22. 22NPIULBत्यसपछि हामीले हजुरलाई भन्यौँ, 'ठिटोले आफ्ना पितालाई छाड्न सक्दैनन् । किनकि तिनले आफ्ना पितालाई छाड्नुपर्यो भने तिनका पिता मर्नेछन् ।'BSBBSB: So we said to my lord, ‘The boy cannot leave his father. If he were to leave, his father would die.’
23. 23NPIULBतब तपाईंले आफ्ना दासहरूलाई भन्नुभयो, तिमीहरूको कान्छो छोरो तिमीहरूसँगै नआएसम्म तिमीहरूले मेरो अनुहार हेर्नेछैनौ ।'BSBBSB: But you said to your servants, ‘Unless your younger brother comes down with you, you will not see my face again.’
24. 24NPIULBत्यसपछि हामी तपाईंका दास मेरा पिताकहाँ जाँदा हामीले उहाँलाई तपाईंका वचनहरू सुनायौँ ।BSBBSB: Now when we returned to your servant my father, we relayed your words to him.
25. 25NPIULBहाम्रा पिताले भन्नुभयो, 'फेरि गएर हाम्रा लागि अनाज किन ।'BSBBSB: Then our father said, ‘Go back and buy us some food.’
26. 26NPIULBत्यसपछि हामीले भन्यौँ, 'हामी तल जान सक्दैनौँ । हाम्रो कान्छो भाइ हामीसित गयो भने मात्र हामी तल जान सक्छौँ किनकि कान्छो भाइ हामीसित नगएसम्म हामीले ती मानिसको अनुहार हेर्न सक्दैनौँ ।'BSBBSB: But we answered, ‘We cannot go down there unless our younger brother goes with us. So if our younger brother is not with us, we cannot see the man.’
27. 27NPIULBतपाईंका दास मेरा पिताले हामीलाई भन्नुभयो, 'मेरी पत्नीले मेरा लागि दुई जना छोरा जन्माएकी कुरा त तिमीहरूलाई थाहै छ ।BSBBSB: And your servant my father said to us, ‘You know that my wife bore me two sons.
28. 28NPIULBएउटाले मलाई छाडेर गइसकेपछि मैले भनेँ, 'निश्चय नै, त्यसलाई धुजाधुजा पारिएको छ, र त्यस बेलादेखि मैले त्यसलाई देखेको छैनँ ।BSBBSB: When one of them was gone, I said: “Surely he has been torn to pieces.” And I have not seen him since.
29. 29NPIULBअब तिमीहरूले यसलाई पनि मबाट लिएर गयौ र यसमाथि कुनै हानि आइपर्यो भने तिमीहरूले मेरो फुलेको कपाललाई शोकमै पातालमा पुर्याउनेछौ ।'BSBBSB: Now if you also take this one from me and harm comes to him, you will bring my gray hair down to Sheol in sorrow.’
30. 30NPIULBत्यसकारण म हजुरका दास मेरा पिताकहाँ पुग्दा ती ठिटा मसित छैनन् भने उहाँको जीवन ती ठिटाको जीवनमा जोडिएकालेBSBBSB: So if the boy is not with us when I return to your servant, and if my father, whose life is wrapped up in the boy’s life,
31. 31NPIULBउहाँले मेरो साथमा ती ठिटालाई नदेख्नुहुँदा उहाँ मर्नुहुनेछ । तपाईंका दासहरूले हाम्रा पिताको फुलेको कपाललाई शोकमै पातलामा पुर्याउनेछन् ।BSBBSB: sees that the boy is not with us, he will die. 32. 32NPIULBकिनकि तपाईंका दास मेरा पिताको अगि म ती ठिटाको जमानी बसेको छु, र भनेको छु, 'मैले तिनलाई तपाईंकहाँ ल्याइनँ भने म मेरा पिताको सामु सदाको लागि दोषी ठहरिनेछु ।'BSBBSB: Indeed, your servant guaranteed the boy’s safety to my father, saying, ‘If I do not return him to you, I will bear the guilt before you, my father, all my life.’
33. 33NPIULBत्यसकारण ती ठिटाको साटोमा तपाईंका दासलाई नै हजुरको दासको रूपमा बस्न दिनुहोस्, र ती ठिटालाई तिनका दाजुहरूसँगै जान दिनुहोस् ।BSBBSB: Now please let your servant stay here as my lord’s slave in place of the boy. Let him return with his brothers.
34. 34NPIULBकिनकि ठिटालाई नलिईकन म कसरी मेरा पिताकहाँ जान सक्छु र? मेरा पितामाथि आइपर्ने खराबी हेर्नदेखि म डराएको छु ।”BSBBSB: For how can I go back to my father without the boy? I could not bear to see the misery that would overwhelm him.”
