1. 1NPIULBतब भित्र गएर योसेफले फारोलाई भने, “मेरा बुबा र दाजुभाइहरू, उनका बगाल र बथानहरू र उनीहरूका सबै थोक लिएर कनानबाट आएका छन् । हेर्नुहोस्, अहिले उनीहरू गोशेन प्रदेशमा छन् ।”BSBBSB: So Joseph went and told Pharaoh: “My father and my brothers, with their flocks and herds and all they own, have come from the land of Canaan and are now in Goshen.”
2. 2NPIULBतिनले आफ्ना दाजुहरूमध्येबाट पाँच जनालाई लिएर फारोलाई चिनाइदिए ।BSBBSB: And he chose five of his brothers and presented them before Pharaoh.
3. 3NPIULBफारोले तिनका दाजुभाइहरूलाई सोधे, “तिमीहरूको कामधन्धा के हो?” उनीहरूले फारोलाई भने, “हामी हजुरका दासहरू हाम्रा पिता-पुर्खादेखि नै गोठाला हौँ ।”BSBBSB: “What is your occupation?” Pharaoh asked Joseph’s brothers. “Your servants are shepherds,” they replied, “both we and our fathers.”
4. 4NPIULBत्यसपछि उनीहरूले फारोलाई भने, “हामी यस देशमा अस्थायी बसोबास गर्न आएका छौँ । कनान देशमा घोर अनिकाल परेको हुनाले हजुरका दासहरूका बगालहरूको निम्ति चरन छैन । त्यसैले अब बिन्ती छ, हामी हजूरका दासहरूलाई गोशेन प्रदेशमा बसोबास गर्ने अनुमति दिनुहोस् ।”BSBBSB: Then they said to Pharaoh, “We have come to live in the land for a time, because there is no pasture for the flocks of your servants, since the famine in the land of Canaan has been severe. So now, please allow your servants to settle in the land of Goshen.”
5. 5NPIULBत्यसपछि फारोले योसेफलाई भने, “तिम्रा बुबा र तिम्रा दाजुभाइहरू तिमीकहाँ आएका छन् ।BSBBSB: Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Now that your father and brothers have come to you,
6. 6NPIULBमिश्रदेश तिम्रै अगि छ । देशको सबैभन्दा असल ठाउँ गोशेन प्रदेशमा नै तिम्रा बुबा र तिम्रा दाजुभाइहरूलाई बस्ने बन्दोबस्त गर । उनीहरूमध्ये सक्षम मानिसहरूलाई गाईबस्तुहरूको जिम्मा देऊ ।”BSBBSB: the land of Egypt is before you; settle your father and brothers in the best part of the land. They may dwell in the land of Goshen. And if you know of any talented men among them, put them in charge of my own livestock.”
7. 7NPIULBतब योसेफले आफ्ना बुबा याकूबलाई पनि फारोकहाँ हाजिर गराए । याकूबले फारोलाई आशीर्वाद दिए ।BSBBSB: Then Joseph brought in his father Jacob and presented him before Pharaoh, and Jacob blessed Pharaoh.
8. 8NPIULBफारोले याकूबलाई सोधे, “तपाईंको उमेर कति भयो?”BSBBSB: “How many years have you lived?” Pharaoh asked.
9. 9NPIULBयाकूबले फारोलाई भने, “मेरो प्रवासी जीवनको उमेर एक सय तिस वर्ष भयो । मेरो यस जीवनका वर्षहरू थोरै र दु:खमय भएका छन् । मेरो उमेर मेरा पिता-पुर्खाहरूको जति पुगेकै छैन ।”BSBBSB: “My travels have lasted 130 years,” Jacob replied. “My years have been few and hard, and they have not matched the years of the travels of my fathers.”
10. 10NPIULBत्यसपछि याकूबले फारोलाई आशीर्वाद दिए, र तिनको उपस्थितिबाट निस्केर गए ।BSBBSB: Then Jacob blessed Pharaoh and departed from his presence.
11. 11NPIULBतब योसेफले आफ्ना बुबा र दाजुभाइहरूलाई बसोबास गराए । फारोको हुकुमअनुसार तिनले मिश्रमा भएको सबैभन्दा असल ठाउँ, अर्थात् रामसेस भन्ने इलाकाको एउटा क्षेत्र उनीहरूलाई दिए ।BSBBSB: So Joseph settled his father and brothers in the land of Egypt and gave them property in the best part of the land, the district of Rameses, as Pharaoh had commanded.
12. 12NPIULBयोसेफले आफ्ना बुबा, दाजुभाइहरू र आफ्ना बुबाका परिवारका सबैलाई उनीहरूका आस्रित परिवारको सङ्ख्याअनुसार खानेकुरा उपलब्ध गराए ।BSBBSB: Joseph also provided his father and brothers and all his father’s household with food for their families.
13. 13NPIULBघोर अनिकालको कारण पुरै देशमा कुनै खानेकुरा थिएन । अनिकालद्वारा मिश्र र कनान दुवै देश कमजोर भए ।BSBBSB: There was no food, however, in all that region, because the famine was so severe; the lands of Egypt and Canaan had been exhausted by the famine.
14. 14NPIULBमिश्र र कनान देशका बासिन्दाहरूलाई बेचेका अन्नबाट प्राप्त सबै रुपियाँ योसेफले जम्मा गरे । त्यसपछि योसेफले त्यो रुपियाँ फारोको महलमा ल्याए ।BSBBSB: Joseph collected all the money to be found in the land of Egypt and the land of Canaan in exchange for the grain they were buying, and he brought it into Pharaoh’s palace.
15. 15NPIULBजब मिश्र र कनानमा भएका सबै आफ्ना रुपियाँ-पैसा खर्च भयो, सबै मिश्रीहरू यसो भन्दै योसेफकहाँ आए, “हामीलाई अन्न दिनुहोस् । हाम्रो रुपियाँ-पैसा सकिएको कारण तपाईंका आँखाको सामुन्ने हामी किन मरौँ?”BSBBSB: When the money from the lands of Egypt and Canaan was gone, all the Egyptians came to Joseph and said, “Give us food. Why should we die before your eyes? For our funds have run out!”
16. 16NPIULBयोसेफले तिनीहरूलाई भने, “यदि तिमीहरूका रुपियाँ-पैसा सिद्धिए भने गाईबस्तु ल्याओ र तिमीहरूका गाईबस्तुका सट्टामा म तिमीहरूलाई अन्न दिनेछु ।”BSBBSB: “Then bring me your livestock,” said Joseph. “Since the money is gone, I will sell you food in exchange for your livestock.”
17. 17NPIULBयसकारण तिनीहरूले आफ्ना गाईबस्तुहरू योसेफकहाँ ल्याए । योसेफले तिनीहरूका घोडा, भेडाबाख्रा, गाईबस्तु, गधाका सट्टामा तिनीहरूलाई खानेकुरा दिए । त्यस साल गाईबस्तुका सट्टामा तिनीहरूलाई तिनले अन्न खुवाए ।BSBBSB: So they brought their livestock to Joseph, and he gave them food in exchange for their horses, their flocks and herds, and their donkeys. Throughout that year he provided them with food in exchange for all their livestock.
18. 18NPIULBत्यो साल बितेपछि अर्को साल आएर तिनीहरूले योसेफलाई भने, “हामी हाम्रा मालिकदेखि केही कुरा पनि लुकाउँदैनौँ कि हाम्रा रुपियाँ-पैसा सबै सकिए र गाईबस्तुका बथान पनि सबै मालिककै भएका छन् । अब हजुरको आँखाको सामुन्ने हामीसँग हाम्रै जिउ र जग्गाजमिनबाहेक अरू केही छैन ।BSBBSB: When that year was over, they came to him the second year and said, “We cannot hide from our lord that our money is gone and all our livestock belongs to you. There is nothing left for our lord except our bodies and our land.
19. 19NPIULBहामी र हाम्रा जमिन हजूरका आँखाको सामुन्ने किन नष्ट हुने? अन्नको साटोमा हामी र हाम्रो जमिनलाई किन्नुहोस्, र हामी आफ्ना जग्गाजमिनसमेत फारोका कमारा-कमारी हुनेछौँ । हामीलाई बिउ दिनुहोस्, ताकि हामी जीवित हुन सकौँ र हाम्रा जग्गाजमिन पनि उजाड नहोऊन् ।”BSBBSB: Why should we perish before your eyes—we and our land as well? Purchase us and our land in exchange for food. Then we, along with our land, will be slaves to Pharaoh. Give us seed that we may live and not die, and that the land may not become desolate.”
20. 20NPIULBयसरी योसेफले मिश्रका सबै जग्गाजमिन फारोको निम्ति किने । अनिकाल धेरै भएको हुनाले हरेक मिश्रीले आफ्ना जग्गाजमिन बेच्यो । यसरी जग्गाजमिन फारोको भयो ।BSBBSB: So Joseph acquired for Pharaoh all the land in Egypt; the Egyptians, one and all, sold their fields because the famine was so severe upon them. The land became Pharaoh’s,
21. 21NPIULBमिश्रको एक छेउदेखि अर्को छेउसम्मका सबै मानिसहरूलाई तिनले कमारा बनाए ।BSBBSB: and Joseph reduced the people to servitude from one end of Egypt to the other.
22. 22NPIULBपुजारीहरूका जग्गाजमिन मात्र तिनले किनेनन्, किनभने पुजारीहरूलाई फारोबाट भत्ता दिइएको थियो । फारोले दिएकै हिस्साबाट तिनीहरूले खान्थे । त्यसकारण तिनीहरूले चाहिँ आफ्ना जग्गाजमिन बेचेनन् ।BSBBSB: However, he did not acquire the priests’ portion of the land, for it had been given to them by Pharaoh. They ate the rations that Pharaoh supplied; so they did not sell their land.
23. 23NPIULBयोसेफले जनताहरूलाई भने, “हेर, आज मैले फारोको निम्ति तिमीहरूका जग्गाजमिन र तिमीहरूलाई पनि किनेको छु । अब तिमीहरूका निम्ति बिउ यहाँ छ, र तिमीहरूले जमिनमा बिउ छर ।BSBBSB: Then Joseph said to the people, “Now that I have acquired you and your land for Pharaoh this day, here is seed for you to sow in the land.
24. 24NPIULBतर फसलको बेलामा उब्जनीको पाँचौँ हिस्सा तिमीहरूले फारोलाई दिनुपर्छ । चार हिस्साचाहिँ खेतीलाई बिउको निम्ति र तिमीहरू, तिमीहरूका परिवार र तिमीहरूका बालबच्चाको खानाको निम्ति तिमीहरूको आफ्नै हुनेछ ।”BSBBSB: At harvest time, you are to give a fifth of it to Pharaoh, and four-fifths will be yours as seed for the field and food for yourselves and your households and children.”
25. 25NPIULBतिनीहरूले भने, “हजूरले हाम्रो प्राण बचाइदिनुभएको छ । हजुरको निगाह हामीमाथि रहोस् । हामी फारोका कमारा हुनेछौँ ।”BSBBSB: “You have saved our lives,” they said. “We have found favor in our lord’s eyes, and we will be Pharaoh’s servants.”
26. 26NPIULBयसैले मिश्र देशमा योसेफले उब्जनीको पाँचौँ हिस्सा फारोको हुन्छ भन्ने कुरा समेटिएको जग्गाजमिनको विषयमा एउटा ऐन बनाए, जुन आजसम्म प्रचलित छ । पुजारीहरूका जग्गाजमिन मात्र फारोको भएन ।BSBBSB: So Joseph established a law that a fifth of the produce belongs to Pharaoh, and it is in effect in the land of Egypt to this day. Only the priests’ land does not belong to Pharaoh.
27. 27NPIULBत्यसैले इस्राएल मिश्रको गोशेनमा बसोबास गरे । तिनका मानिसहरूले त्यहाँका जग्गाजमिन आफ्नो अधिकारमा लिए । तिनीहरूको फलिफाप भएर सङ्ख्या अत्यन्तै वृद्धि भयो ।BSBBSB: Now the Israelites settled in the land of Egypt, in the region of Goshen. They acquired property there and became fruitful and increased greatly in number.
28. 28NPIULBयाकूब मिश्रमा सत्र वर्ष बसे । यसरी याकूबको जम्मा उमेर एक सय सतचालिस वर्ष भयो ।BSBBSB: And Jacob lived in the land of Egypt seventeen years, and the length of his life was 147 years.
29. 29NPIULBजब इस्राएलको मर्ने बेला आयो, तिनले आफ्ना छोरा योसेफलाई बोलाएर भने, “यदि मैले तेरो निगाह पाएको छु भने तेरो हात मेरो तिघ्रामुनि राखेर मप्रति तेरो विश्वासयोग्यता र भरोसा देखा । कृपा गरेर मलाई मिश्रदेशमा नगाड् ।BSBBSB: When the time drew near for Israel to die, he called his son Joseph and said to him, “If I have found favor in your eyes, put your hand under my thigh and promise to show me kindness and faithfulness. Do not bury me in Egypt,
30. 30NPIULBम मेरा पिता-पुर्खाहरूसँग सुत्दा मलाई मिश्रबाट बोकेर लगी उनीहरूकै चिहानमा गाडिदे ।” योसेफले भने, “तपाईंले भन्नुभएबमोजिम म गर्नेछु ।”BSBBSB: but when I lie down with my fathers, carry me out of Egypt and bury me with them.” Joseph answered, “I will do as you have requested.”
31. 31NPIULBइस्राएलले भने, “मसँग शपथ खा ।” अनि योसेफले शपथ खाए । तब इस्राएल आफ्नो पलङ्गको सिरानमा घोप्टो परे ।BSBBSB: “Swear to me,” Jacob said. So Joseph swore to him, and Israel bowed in worship at the head of his bed.
