1 UDB ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ଶରୀରରେ ଦୁଃଖଭୋଗ କରିଥିବାରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମଧ୍ୟ ସେହିପରି ମନ ଧରି ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କୁ ସୁସଜ୍ଜିତ କର I କାରଣ ଯେ, ଶରୀରରେ ଦୁଃଖଭୋଗ କରିଅଛି, ସେ ପାପରୁ ନିବୃତ୍ତ ହୋଇଅଛି I BSB BSB: Therefore, since Christ suffered in His body, arm yourselves with the same resolve, because anyone who has suffered in his body is done with sin.
2 UDB ଫଳସ୍ଵରୁପ, ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଜାଗତିକ ଜୀବନର ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟ କାଳ ମନୁଷ୍ୟର କୁଅଭିଳାଷ ଅନୁସାରେ କ୍ଷେପଣ କରନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ, ବରଂ ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଇଚ୍ଛାନୁସାରେ କ୍ଷେପଣ କରନ୍ତି I BSB BSB: Consequently, he does not live out his remaining time on earth for human passions, but for the will of God.
3 UDB ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କୁହେ, ଯେଣୁ ଯେଉଁମାନେ ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କୁ ଜାଣନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସଦୃଶ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଏହି ଜଗତରେ ଆପଣା ସମୟ କ୍ଷେପଣ କରିଅଛ I ପୂର୍ବରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଘୃଣ୍ୟ ବିଷୟଗୁଡ଼ିକ ଯାହା କାମୁକତା, କୁଅଭିଳାଷ, ମଦ୍ୟପାନ, ରଙ୍ଗରସ, ମତ୍ତତା ଓ ଘୃଣ୍ୟ ପ୍ରତିମାପୂଜା କରୁଥିଲ I BSB BSB: For you have spent enough time in the past carrying out the same desires as the Gentiles: living in debauchery, lust, drunkenness, orgies, carousing, and detestable idolatry.
4 UDB ଏପ୍ରକାର ଉଚ୍ଛୃଙ୍ଖଳ ପନ୍ଥାରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ସଂଯୁକ୍ତ ହେଉ ନାହଁ, ଏହା ସେମାନେ ଆଶ୍ଚର୍ଯ୍ୟ ହୋଇ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ନିନ୍ଦା କରନ୍ତି I BSB BSB: Because of this, they consider it strange of you not to plunge with them into the same flood of reckless indiscretion, and they heap abuse on you.
5 UDB କିନ୍ତୁ ଯେ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ବିଚାର କରିବାକୁ ଉଦ୍ୟତ, ସେହି ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ହିସାବ ଦେବାକୁ ହେବ I BSB BSB: But they will have to give an account to Him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.
7 UDB ମାତ୍ର ଏହି ପୃଥିବୀରେ ସମସ୍ତ ବିଷୟର ଅନ୍ତିମକାଳ ସନ୍ନିକଟ I ଅତଏବ ସୁବୁଦ୍ଧି ହୁଅ, ପୁଣି, ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଜାଗ୍ରତ ଥାଅ I BSB BSB: The end of all things is near. Therefore be clear-minded and sober, so that you can pray.
8 UDB ବିଶେଷରେ ପ୍ରଗାଢ଼ ପ୍ରେମରେ ପରସ୍ପରକୁ ପ୍ରେମ କରୁଥାଅ, କାରଣ ପ୍ରେମ ବହୁଳ ପାପ ଆଚ୍ଛାଦନ କରେ I BSB BSB: Above all, love one another deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.
9 UDB କୁଣ୍ଠିତ ନ ହୋଇ ଯେଉଁ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟୀୟ ଯାତ୍ରୀମନେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସନ୍ତି ସେମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଖାଇବାକୁ ଖାଦ୍ୟ ଓ ବିଶ୍ରାମସ୍ଥଳୀ ଯୋଗାଇ ଦିଅ I BSB BSB: Show hospitality to one another without complaining.
10 UDB ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ଜଣ ଯେଉଁପରି ଅନୁଗ୍ରହ ଦାନ ପାଇଅଛ, ସେହି ପ୍ରକାରେ ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ବହୁବିଧ ଅନୁଗ୍ରହର ଉତ୍ତମ ଭଣ୍ଡାରଘରିଆ ସ୍ୱରୂପେ ତଦ୍ୱାରା ପରସ୍ପରର ସେବା କର I BSB BSB: As good stewards of the manifold grace of God, each of you should use whatever gift he has received to serve one another.
11 UDB କେହି ଯଦି ବିଶ୍ୱାସୀମାନଙ୍କ ମଣ୍ଡଳୀରେ ପ୍ରଚାର କରେ, ତେବେ ସେ ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ବାକ୍ୟର ପ୍ରଚାରକ ପରି ପ୍ରଚାର କରୁ; କେହି ଯଦି ଅନ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଦୟାର କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ କରେ, ତେବେ ସେ ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଶକ୍ତିପ୍ରାପ୍ତଲୋକ ପରି କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ କରୁ, ଯେପରି ଯୀଶୁଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏପରି କରିବାକୁ ଯୋଗ୍ୟ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି ତଦ୍ୱାରା ଈଶ୍ୱର ଗୌରବାନ୍ୱିତ ହେବେ; ଯୁଗେ ଯୁଗେ ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଗୌରବ ହେଉ କାରଣ ଅନନ୍ତକାଳ ନିମନ୍ତେ ସମସ୍ତ ବିଷୟ ଉପରେ ଶାସନ କରିବା ତାହାଙ୍କର ସମସ୍ତ ଅଧିକାର ଅଛି I ଏହା ଏହିପରି ହେଉ I BSB BSB: If anyone speaks, he should speak as one conveying the words of God. If anyone serves, he should serve with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen.
12 UDB ହେ ପ୍ରିୟମାନେ, ଯେପରି ଲୋକମାନେ କୌଣସି ଧାତୁକୁ ପରୀକ୍ଷା କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଅଗ୍ନିରେ ଦେଇଥା'ନ୍ତି, ସେହିପରି ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କର ହୋଇଥିବାରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପରୀକ୍ଷା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଯେଉଁ ଦୁଃଖଭୋଗରୂପ ଅଗ୍ନି ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହୋଇଅଛି, ତାହା ଅଦ୍ଭୁତ ଘଟଣା ବୋଲି ମନେ କରି ଆଶ୍ଚର୍ଯ୍ୟ ଜ୍ଞାନ କର ନାହିଁ I BSB BSB: Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial that has come upon you, as though something strange were happening to you.
13 UDB ବରଂ ଯେଉଁ ପରିମାଣରେ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କ ଦୁଃଖଭୋଗର ସହଭାଗୀ ହେଉଅଛ, ସେହି ପରିମାଣରେ ଆନନ୍ଦ କର, ଯେପରି ତାହାଙ୍କ ମହିମା ପ୍ରକାଶିତ ହେବା ସମୟରେ ମଧ୍ୟ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମହାନନ୍ଦରେ ଆନନ୍ଦିତ ହେବ I BSB BSB: But rejoice that you share in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed at the revelation of His glory.
14 UDB ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କୁ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରୁଥିବା ସକାଶେ ନିନ୍ଦିତ ହୁଅ, ତାହାହେଲେ ଈଶ୍ୱର ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ସନ୍ତୁଷ୍ଟ, କାରଣ ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କର ମହାନ୍ ଆତ୍ମା, ତୁମ୍ଭଠାରେ ଅଧିଷ୍ଠାନ କରୁଅଛନ୍ତି I BSB BSB: If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you.
15 UDB ଏଣୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ କେହି ହତ୍ୟାକାରୀ କି ଚୋର, କି ଦୁରାଚାରୀ, କି ଅନଧିକାର ଚର୍ଚ୍ଚାକାରୀ ହୋଇ ଦଣ୍ଡ ଭୋଗ ନ କରୁ I BSB BSB: Indeed, none of you should suffer as a murderer or thief or wrongdoer, or even as a meddler.
16 UDB କିନ୍ତୁ କେହି ଯଦି ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟିୟାନ ହେବାରୁ ଦଣ୍ଡ ଭୋଗ କରେ, ତାହାହେଲେ ସେ ଲଜ୍ଜା ବୋଧ ନ କରୁ, ବରଂ ସେ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କର ହୋଇଥିବାରୁ ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ମହିମା କୀର୍ତ୍ତନ କରୁ I BSB BSB: But if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but glorify God that you bear that name.
17 UDB ମୁଁ ଏହା କୁହେ, କାରଣ ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଗୃହଠାରୁ ଆରମ୍ଭ କରି ବିଚାର କରିବା ସମୟ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ; ଆଉ ଯଦି ପ୍ରଥମରେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସୀ ଯେ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଆରମ୍ଭ ହୁଏ, ତେବେ ଯେଉଁମାନେ ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ସୁସମାଚାରର ଅନାଜ୍ଞାବହ, ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଶେଷ ଦଶା ଅବା କଅଣ ନ ହେବ! BSB BSB: For it is time for judgment to begin with the family of God; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who disobey the gospel of God?
18 UDB ତାହା ସେହିପରି ହେବ ଯେପରି ଶାସ୍ତ୍ରରେ ଲେଖାଯାଏ: ଅନେକ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତି ଯଦି ସ୍ୱର୍ଗ ଯିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ କଷ୍ଟରେ ପରିତ୍ରାଣ ପାଏ, ତେବେ ଅଧାର୍ମିକ ଓ ପାପୀ ଲୋକ ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଠାରୁ ଗୁରୁତର ଦଣ୍ଡ ଭୋଗ କରିବେ! BSB BSB: And, “If it is hard for the righteous to be saved, what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?”
19 UDB ଅତଏବ, ଯେଉଁମାନେ ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଇଚ୍ଛାମତେ ଦୁଃଖଭୋଗ କରନ୍ତି, ସେମାନେ ବିଶ୍ୱସ୍ତ ସୃଷ୍ଟିକର୍ତ୍ତାଙ୍କର ହସ୍ତରେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ଆତ୍ମାକୁ ସମର୍ପଣ କରି ସତ୍କାର୍ଯ୍ୟରେ ନିବିଷ୍ଟ ରହନ୍ତୁ I BSB BSB: So then, those who suffer according to God’s will should entrust their souls to their faithful Creator and continue to do good.
