1 UDB ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଏଫିସର ପ୍ରାଚୀନମାନଙ୍କଠାରୁ ବିଦାୟ ନେଲାପରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସିଧା କୋସ୍ ଉପଦ୍ୱୀପକୁ ଜଳଯାତ୍ରା କଲୁ। ସେଠାରେ ଜାହାଜ ଅଟକି ଗଲା I ତହିଁ ଆରଦିନ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସେଠାରୁ ରୋଦା ଉପଦ୍ୱୀପକୁ ଆସିଲୁ ଓ ସେଠି ମଧ୍ୟ ଜାହାଜ ଅଟକି ଗଲା I ପୁଣି ତହିଁ ଆର ଦିନ ସେଠାରୁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ପାତାରାରେ ପହଞ୍ଚିଲୁ। BSB BSB: After we had torn ourselves away from them, we sailed directly to Cos, and the next day on to Rhodes, and from there to Patara.
2 UDB ପାତାରା ଛାଡି ଫୈନିକୀଆକୁ ଯାଉଥିବା ଗୋଟିଏ ଜାହାଜ ପାଇ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେଥିରେ ଚ଼ଢ଼ିଲୁ ଓ ଯାତ୍ରା କଲୁ। BSB BSB: Finding a ship crossing over to Phoenicia, we boarded it and set sail.
3 UDB ଆମ୍ଭେ ଯାଇ କୁପ୍ର ଉପଦ୍ୱୀପ ପାଖରେ ପହଞ୍ଚି ତାର ବାମ ପଟେ ସୁରିଆକୁ ଯାତ୍ରା କଲୁ। ଆମ୍ଭେ ସୋର ନଗରରେ ଓହ୍ଲେଇଲୁ I ସେହି ଜାହାଜଟି ସେଠି ଅନେକ ଦିନ ରହିଲା କାରଣ ଜାହାଜରୁ ମାଲ ଖଲାସ କରିବାକୁ ଥିଲା। BSB BSB: After sighting Cyprus and passing south of it, we sailed on to Syria and landed at Tyre, where the ship was to unload its cargo.
4 UDB କେହି ଜଣେ କହିଲା ସୋରର ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ବିଶ୍ୱାସୀ ସେଠାରେ ରହୁଥିଲେ ତେଣୁ ଆମେ ଗଲୁ ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ସାତ ଦିନ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ରହିଲୁ। ସେମାନେ ପବିତ୍ର ଆତ୍ମାଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଜାଣି ପାରିଲେ କି ପାଉଲଙ୍କୁ ଯିରୁଶାଲମରେ ବିପଦ ଅଛି ତେଣୁ ପାଉଲଙ୍କୁ ନ ଯିବା ପାଇଁ ଚେ଼ତାବନୀ ଦେଲେ I BSB BSB: We sought out the disciples in Tyre and stayed with them seven days. Through the Spirit they kept telling Paul not to go up to Jerusalem.
5 UDB କିନ୍ତୁ ଜାହାଜ ଛାଡିବା ସମୟ ପୁରିଗଲା ପରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଯେତେବେଳେ ସୋରଠାରୁ ବିଦାୟ ନେଲୁ। ସେତେବେଳେ ସେମାନେ ସମସ୍ତେ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ, ପିଲାମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ନଗର ବାହାର ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଆମ୍ଭ ସହିତ ଆସିଲେ। ଆମ୍ଭେ ସମସ୍ତେ ସମୁଦ୍ର କୂଳରେ ଆଣ୍ଠୁ ମାଡି ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କଲୁ। BSB BSB: But when our time there had ended, we set out on our journey. All the disciples, with their wives and children, accompanied us out of the city and knelt down on the beach to pray with us.
6 UDB ଆମ୍ଭେ ସମସ୍ତେ ପରସ୍ପରଠାରୁ ବିଦାୟ ନେଲା ପରେ ପାଉଲ ଓ ତାଙ୍କ ସାଥୀ ଓ ଆମେ ସମସ୍ତେ ଜାହାଜରେ ଚ଼ଢ଼ିଲୁ ଏବଂ ଅନ୍ୟ ବିଶ୍ୱାସୀମାନେ ନିଜ ନିଜ ଘରକୁ ଫେରିଗଲେ। BSB BSB: And after we had said our farewells, we went aboard the ship, and they returned home.
7 UDB ସୋର ନଗର ଛାଡିଲା ପରେ ପତଲମାଇରେ ପହଞ୍ଚିଲୁ। ସେଠାରେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସୀଭାଇମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅଭିନନ୍ଦନ ଜଣେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଗୋଟିଏ ଦିନ ରହିଲୁ। BSB BSB: When we had finished our voyage from Tyre, we landed at Ptolemais, where we greeted the brothers and stayed with them for a day.
8 UDB ଆମେ ତହିଁ ଆରଦିନ କାଇସରୀଆ ନଗରରେ ପହଞ୍ଚିଲୁ। ତା'ପରେ ଆମେ ସୁସମାଚ଼ାର ପ୍ରଚ଼ାରକ ଫିଲିପ୍ପଙ୍କ ଘରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କଲୁ। ସେ ସାତ ଜଣ ବିଶେଷ ସେବକମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଜଣେ ଥିଲେ ଯିଏ କି ବିଧବା ମାନଙ୍କର ଯତ୍ନ ନେଉଥିଲେ। ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ସହିତ ରହିଲୁ। BSB BSB: Leaving the next day, we went on to Caesarea and stayed at the home of Philip the evangelist, who was one of the Seven.
9 UDB ତାହାଙ୍କର ଚ଼ାରୋଟି ଅବିବାହିତା ଝିଅ ଥିଲେ। ସେମାନେ ପବିତ୍ର ଆତ୍ମାଙ୍କଠାରୁ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ସମ୍ବାଦ ଜଣାଉଥିଲେ। BSB BSB: He had four unmarried daughters who prophesied.
10 UDB ସୁସମାଚ଼ାର ପ୍ରଚ଼ାରକ ଫିଲିପ୍ପଙ୍କ ଘରେ କିଛି ଦିନ ରହିଲା ପରେ ଆଗାବ ନାମର ଜଣେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସୀ ଯିହୁଦା ଦେଶରୁ ଆସି କାଇସରୀଆରେ ପହଞ୍ଚିଲେ I ସେ ପବିତ୍ର ଆତ୍ମାଙ୍କଠାରୁ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ସମ୍ବାଦ ଜଣାଉଥିଲେ I BSB BSB: After we had been there several days, a prophet named Agabus came down from Judea.
11 UDB ସେ ଆମ୍ଭପାଖକୁ ଆସି ପାଉଲଙ୍କ କଟୀବନ୍ଧନ ମାଗିନେଇ ନିଜ ହାତ ଗୋଡ ବାନ୍ଧି ପକାଇଲେ ଓ କହିଲେ, "ପବିତ୍ର ଆତ୍ମା ଏପରି କହନ୍ତି ଏହି କଟୀବନ୍ଧନ ଯାହାର ଅଟେ, 'ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଯିରୁଶାଲମରେ ଯିହୁଦୀମାନେ ଏହିପରି ବାନ୍ଧି ପକାଇବେ। ସେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଅଣଯିହୁଦୀମାନଙ୍କ ହାତରେ ସମର୍ପଣ କରିବେ।"' BSB BSB: Coming over to us, he took Paul’s belt, bound his own feet and hands, and said, “The Holy Spirit says: ‘In this way the Jews of Jerusalem will bind the owner of this belt and hand him over to the Gentiles.’”
12 UDB ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯେତେବେଳେ ଶୁଣିଲୁ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ଓ ଅନ୍ୟ ବିଶ୍ୱାସୀମାନେ ଏହି କଥା ଶୁଣି ପାଉଲଙ୍କୁ ଯିରୂଶାଲମ ନ ଯିବା ପାଇଁ ବହୂତ ଅନୁରୋଧ କଲୁ। BSB BSB: When we heard this, we and the people there pleaded with Paul not to go up to Jerusalem.
13 UDB କିନ୍ତୁ ପାଉଲ କହିଲେ, "ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କାହିଁକି କାନ୍ଦୁଛ? ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କାହିଁକି ଏପରି ମୋତେ ନିରୁତ୍ସାହ କରୁଛ? ଯିରୂଶାଲମରେ ମୁଁ ବନ୍ଧା ହେବା ପାଇଁ ଯେ କେବଳ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ ଅଛି, ତାହା ନୁହେଁ, ମାତ୍ର ମୁଁ ପ୍ରଭୁ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ନାମରେ ମରିବା ପାଇଁ ମଧ୍ୟ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ ଅଛି କାରଣ ମୁଁ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ସେବା କରେ।" BSB BSB: Then Paul answered, “Why are you weeping and breaking my heart? I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die in Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.”
14 UDB ସେ ଯେତେବେଳେ ଯିରୂଶାଲମ ଯିବା ପାଇଁ ଆଗ୍ରହୀ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରତିରୋଧ କଲୁ ନାହିଁ। ଆମ୍ଭେ କହିଲୁ, "ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ଯାହା ଇଚ୍ଛା, ତାହା ହିଁ ହେଉ।" BSB BSB: When he would not be dissuaded, we quieted down and said, “The Lord’s will be done.”
15 UDB ଏହି ସମସ୍ତ ଦିନ କାଇସରିଆରେ ବିତିଗଲା ପରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ନିଜର ସାମଗ୍ରୀ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ କଲୁ ଓ ଯିରୂଶାଲମ ପାଇଁ ଯାତ୍ରା ଆରମ୍ଭ କଲୁ I BSB BSB: After these days, we packed up and went on to Jerusalem.
16 UDB କାଇସରୀଆରେ ଥିବା କିଛି ବିଶ୍ୱାସୀ ଆମ୍ଭ ସହିତ ଆସିଲେ। ସେମାନେ ଆମ୍ଭକୁ କୁପ୍ର ଉପଦ୍ୱୀପର ମନାସୋନ ନାମକ ଜଣେ ଶିଷ୍ୟଙ୍କ ଘରକୁ ନେଇଗଲେ। ଯିଏକି ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ପୁରାତନ ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଜଣେ I BSB BSB: Some of the disciples from Caesarea accompanied us, and they took us to stay at the home of Mnason the Cypriot, an early disciple.
17 UDB ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯେତେବେଳେ ଯିରୂଶାଲମରେ ପହଞ୍ଚିଲୁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କିଛି ଭାଇମାନେ ଖୁସିରେ ସ୍ୱାଗତ ଜଣାଇଲେ I BSB BSB: When we arrived in Jerusalem, the brothers welcomed us joyfully.
18 UDB ତା' ପରଦିନ ପାଉଲ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସାଙ୍ଗରେ ଯାକୁବଙ୍କୁ ଭେଟିବାକୁ ଗଲେ। ସବୁ ପ୍ରାଚ଼ୀନ ଲୋକମାନେ ସମସ୍ତେ ସେଠାରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ଥିଲେ। BSB BSB: The next day Paul went in with us to see James, and all the elders were present.
19 UDB ପାଉଲ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅଭିନନ୍ଦନ ଜଣାଇଲେ। ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ତାହାଙ୍କ ସେବାକାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ମାଧ୍ୟମରେ ଅଣଯିହୁଦୀମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଯେଉଁ ସବୁ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ କରିଛନ୍ତି, ସେସବୁ ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଗୋଟି ଗୋଟି କରି କହିଲେ। BSB BSB: Paul greeted them and recounted one by one the things that God had done among the Gentiles through his ministry.
21 UDB ସେମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ବିଷୟରେ ଶୁଣିଛନ୍ତି ଯେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଅଣଯିହୁଦୀମାନଙ୍କ ଦେଶରେ ରହୁଥିବା ଯିହୁଦୀମାନଙ୍କୁ, ମୋଶାଙ୍କର ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା ତ୍ୟାଗ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦେଉଛ। ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ପିଲାମାନଙ୍କର ସୁନ୍ନତ ନ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଓ ଯିହୁଦୀ ରୀତିନୀତିଗୁଡିକୁ ନ ମାନିବା ପାଇଁ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦେଉଅଛ। BSB BSB: But they are under the impression that you teach all the Jews who live among the Gentiles to forsake Moses, telling them not to circumcise their children or observe our customs.
22 UDB ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯେ ଏଠାକୁ ଆସିଛ, ଏହା ସହ ଯିହୁଦୀ ବିଶ୍ୱାସୀମାନେ ନିଶ୍ଚୟ ଶୁଣିବାକୁ ପାଇବେ, ଓ ସେମାନେ ତୁମ ପ୍ରତି ରାଗିବେ I ତେଣୁ ଆମ୍ଭକୁ ଏପରି କିଛି କରି ଦେଖାଇବାକୁ ହେବ ଯେ ଯାହା ସେମାନେ ଶୁଣିଛନ୍ତି ତାହା ସତ୍ୟ ନୁହେଁ? BSB BSB: What then should we do? They will certainly hear that you have come.
23 UDB ତେଣୁ ଆମ୍ଭ କହିବା ଅନୁସାରେ କାମ କର। ଆମ୍ଭ ପାଖରେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କଠାରେ ମାନତ କରିଥିବାର ଚ଼ାରି ଜଣ ଲୋକ ଅଛନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: Therefore do what we advise you. There are four men with us who have taken a vow.
24 UDB ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ମନ୍ଦିରକୁ ଯାଅ ଏବଂ ସେଠାରେ ତୁମେ ଓ ସେମାନେ ବିଧିନୁସାରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଆପଣାକୁ ଶୁଚି କର ଯେପରି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଓ ସେମାନେ ମନ୍ଦିରରେ ଉପାସନା କରିପାର I ମୁଣ୍ଡ ଲଣ୍ଡା ହେବାପାଇଁ ଖର୍ଚ୍ଚ ଦିଅ। ଏହା ଦ୍ୱାରା ସମସ୍ତେ ଭାବିବେ ଯେ, ସେମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ବିଷୟରେ ଯାହା ସବୁ ଶୁଣିଛନ୍ତି ତାହା ମିଥ୍ୟା ସେମାନେ ଦେଖିବେ ନିଜ ଜୀବନରେ ମୋଶାଙ୍କ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା ମାନି ଚଳୁଛ। BSB BSB: Take these men, purify yourself along with them, and pay their expenses so they can have their heads shaved. Then everyone will know that there is no truth to these rumors about you, but that you also live in obedience to the law.
25 UDB ଆମ୍ଭେ ଅଣଯିହୁଦୀ ବିଶ୍ୱାସୀ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ପତ୍ର ଲେଖିଛୁ। ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଲେଖିସାରିଛୁ I BSB BSB: As for the Gentile believers, we have written to them our decision that they must abstain from food sacrificed to idols, from blood, from the meat of strangled animals, and from sexual immorality.”
26 UDB ତେଣୁ ପାଉଲ ତହିଁ ଆରଦିନ ସେହି ଚ଼ାରିଜଣ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ସାଙ୍ଗରେ ନେଇ ଆପଣାକୁ ଶୁଚ଼ି କଲେ। ତା'ପରେ ସେ ମନ୍ଦିରକୁ ଯାଇ କେଉଁ ଦିନ କ୍ରିୟା ସମାରୋହର ଦିନ ପୂରି ଯିବ ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ଦାନ ଦିଆଯିବ, ସେହି ବିଷୟରେ ଘୋଷଣା କଲେ। BSB BSB: So the next day Paul took the men and purified himself along with them. Then he entered the temple to give notice of the date when their purification would be complete and the offering would be made for each of them.
27 UDB ସାତଦିନ ପୂରି ଯିବା ଦିନ ଏସିଆର କେତେକ ଯିହୁଦୀମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ମନ୍ଦିରରେ ଦେଖିଲେ। ସେମାନେ ସମଗ୍ର ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ତାହାଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଉତ୍ତେଜିତ କଲେ ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଧରି ପକାଇଲେ। BSB BSB: When the seven days were almost over, some Jews from the province of Asia saw Paul at the temple. They stirred up the whole crowd and seized him,
29 UDB ସେମାନେ ଆଗରୁ ଏଫିସର ତ୍ରଫିମ ସହିତ ପାଉଲଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖିଥିଲେ। ତ୍ରଫିମ ଜଣେ ଗ୍ରୀକ୍ ଲୋକ ଥିଲେ। ତେଣୁ ସେମାନେ ଅନୁମାନ କରି ନେଲେ ଯେ, ପାଉଲ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ମନ୍ଦିରକୁ ଆଣିଥିବେ। BSB BSB: For they had previously seen Trophimus the Ephesian with him in the city, and they assumed that Paul had brought him into the temple.
30 UDB ପୁରା ନଗରଟାରେ ଉତ୍ତେଜନା ସୃଷ୍ଟି ହୋଇଗଲା। ଲୋକମାନେ ଏକାଠି ଦୌଡ଼ି ଯାଇ ପାଉଲଙ୍କୁ ମନ୍ଦିର ଭିତରୁ ଟାଣି ନେଇ ଗଲେ। ସଙ୍ଗେ ସଙ୍ଗେ ଦ୍ୱାରଗୁଡ଼ିକ ବନ୍ଦ ହୋଇଗଲା। BSB BSB: The whole city was stirred up, and the people rushed together. They seized Paul and dragged him out of the temple, and at once the gates were shut.
31 UDB ଲୋକମାନେ ପାଉଲଙ୍କୁ ହତ୍ୟା କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଚେ଼ଷ୍ଟା କରୁଥିବା ସମୟରେ ରୋମୀୟ ସେନାପତିଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ଏହି ଖବର ପହଞ୍ଚିଲା। ସେ ଜାଣିବାକୁ ପାଇଲେ ଯେ ସମଗ୍ର ଯିରୂଶାଲମରେ ଉତ୍ତେଜନା ଖେଳିଯାଇଛି। BSB BSB: While they were trying to kill him, the commander of the Roman regiment received a report that all Jerusalem was in turmoil.
32 UDB ସେ ସାଙ୍ଗେ ସାଙ୍ଗେ କେତେକ ସୈନ୍ୟ ଓ ଅଧିକାରୀମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଆସି ପହଞ୍ଚିଲେ। ସେ ପାଉଲଙ୍କୁ ହତ୍ୟା କରିବାକୁ ଉଦ୍ୟମ ହେଉଥିବା ଯିହୁଦୀମାନଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ଗଲେ। ସେମାନେ ସେନାପତି ଓ ସୈନ୍ୟସାମନ୍ତଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖି ପାଉଲଙ୍କୁ ମାଡ଼ ମାରିବା ବନ୍ଦ କଲେ। BSB BSB: Immediately he took some soldiers and centurions and ran down to the crowd. When the people saw the commander and the soldiers, they stopped beating Paul.
33 UDB ତା'ପରେ ସେନାପତି ପାଖକୁ ଆସିଲେ ଓ ପାଉଲଙ୍କୁ ବନ୍ଦୀ କଲେ। ସେ ପାଉଲଙ୍କୁ ଦୁଇଟି ଶିକୁଳିରେ ବାନ୍ଧି ଦେବା ପାଇଁ ସୈନ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆଦେଶ ଦେଲେ ତା'ପରେ ପାଉଲ କିଏ ଓ ସେ କ'ଣ କରିଛନ୍ତି ବୋଲି ସେନାପତି ପଚ଼ାରିଲେ। BSB BSB: The commander came up and arrested Paul, ordering that he be bound with two chains. Then he asked who he was and what he had done.
34 UDB ଲୋକ ଗହଳି ଭିତରୁ ଲୋକେ ଚ଼ିତ୍କାର କରି ଭିନ୍ନ ଭିନ୍ନ କଥା କହିଲେ। ସେନାପତି ଏପରି କୋଳାହଳ ଦେଖି କାହାର କଥା ସତ୍ୟ ତାହା ଠିକ୍ ଭାବରେ ଜାଣି ପାରିଲେ ନାହିଁ। ତେଣୁ ସେ ପାଉଲଙ୍କୁ ସୈନ୍ୟ ନିବାସକୁ ନେଇ ଯିବା ପାଇଁ ଆଦେଶ ଦେଲେ। ସବୁ ଲୋକମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ପଛେ ପଛେ ଚ଼ିତ୍କାର କରି ଯାଉଥିଲେ। BSB BSB: Some in the crowd were shouting one thing, and some another. And since the commander could not get at the truth because of the uproar, he ordered that Paul be brought into the barracks.
35 UDB ସୈନ୍ୟମାନେ ପାଉଲଙ୍କୁ ପାହାଚ଼ ନିକଟକୁ ଆଣିଲେ କିନ୍ତୁ ଅନେକ ଲୋକମାନେ ପାଉଲଙ୍କୁ ମାରିବା ପାଇଁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପଛରେ ଗଲେ I ତେଣୁ ସେନାପତି ସୈନ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ପାଉଲଙ୍କୁ ଉଠେଇ ସିଧା ତାଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆଣିବା ପାଇଁ କହିଲେ। BSB BSB: When Paul reached the steps, he had to be carried by the soldiers because of the violence of the mob.
36 UDB ତଥାପି ଲୋକସମୂହ ତାହାଙ୍କ ପଛରେ ଯାଉ ଯାଉ ପାଟି କଲେ, "ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ହତ୍ୟା କର।" BSB BSB: For the crowd that followed him kept shouting, “Away with him!”
37 UDB ସେନାନିବାସକୁ ନେବା ସମୟରେ ସେନାପତିଙ୍କୁ ପାଉଲ ପଚ଼ାରିଲେ, "ମୁଁ ଆପଣଙ୍କୁ କିଛି କହିପାରେ କି? ସେନାପତି ଉତ୍ତର କଲେ," ମୁଁ ଆଚମ୍ବିତ ଯେ ତୁମେ ଗ୍ରୀକ୍ ଭାଷାରେ କହିପାର? BSB BSB: As they were about to take Paul into the barracks, he asked the commander, “May I say something to you?” “Do you speak Greek?” he replied.

39 UDB ପାଉଲ କହିଲେ, "ନା, ମୁଁ ନୁହେଁ! ମୁଁ ଜଣେ ଯିହୁଦୀ I କିଲିକିଆର ତାର୍ଷ ନଗରର ମୋର ଜନ୍ମ। ଗୋଟିଏ ପ୍ରଧାନ ନଗରର ମୁଁ ଜଣେ ନାଗରିକ। ତେଣୁ ମୁଁ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ କଥା କହିବା ପାଇଁ ଆପଣଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଅନୁମତି ଚ଼ାହୁଁଛି।" BSB BSB: But Paul answered, “I am a Jew from Tarsus in Cilicia, a citizen of no ordinary city.
