2 UDB ସେହିଦିନ ଯିରୂଶାଲମରେ ଥିବା ବିଶ୍ୱାସୀମାନଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଭୀଷଣ ତାଡ଼ନା କଲେ। ପ୍ରେରିତମାନଙ୍କ ବ୍ୟତୀତ ଅନ୍ୟ ସମସ୍ତ ବିଶ୍ୱାସୀ ଯିହୁଦା ଓ ଶମିରୋଣ ଦେଶର ବିଭିନ୍ନ ସ୍ଥାନରେ ଛିନ୍ନଭିନ୍ନ ହୋଇଗଲେ। କିନ୍ତୁ ପ୍ରେରିତ ମାନେ ଯିରୂଶାଲମରେ ରହିଲେ I BSB BSB: God-fearing men buried Stephen and mourned deeply over him.
3 UDB ସ୍ତିଫାନଙ୍କ ମୃତ୍ୟୁ ସମୟରେ ଶାଉଲ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ଥିଲେ ଓ ସେ ଏହା ସମର୍ଥନ କରିଥିଲେ। ଶାଉଲ ମଧ୍ୟ ଘରେ ଘରେ ପଶି ପୁରୁଷ ଓ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଯେଉଁମାନେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କଠାରେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରୁଥିଲେ, ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଟାଣି ଆଣି କାରାଗାରରେ ରଖିଲେ ଓ ମଣ୍ଡଳୀ ଧ୍ୱଂସ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଚେଷ୍ଟା କଲେ। BSB BSB: But Saul began to destroy the church. Going from house to house, he dragged off men and women and put them in prison.
4 UDB ଯେଉଁମାନେ ଯିରୂଶାଲମ ଛାଡିଲେ ସେମାନେ ଛିନ୍ନ ଭିନ୍ନ ହୋଇ ଗଲେ, ଓ ସେହି ଲୋକମାନେ ଚ଼ାରିଆଡ଼େ ଯାଇ ସୁସମାଚ଼ାର କହିଲେ। BSB BSB: Those who had been scattered preached the word wherever they went.
5 UDB ଜଣେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସୀ ଯାହାର ନାମ ଫିଲିପ୍ପ ଯିରୂଶାଲମ ଛାଡି ଶମିରୋଣ ନଗରକୁ ଗଲା ଓ ସେଠାରେ ଯାଇ ଯୀଶୁ ଯେ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ଏହି ବିଷୟରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ପ୍ରଚ଼ାର କଲେ। BSB BSB: Philip went down to a city in Samaria and proclaimed the Christ to them.
6 UDB ସେଠାକାର ଲୋକମାନେ ଫିଲିପ୍ପଙ୍କର କଥା ଶୁଣିଲେ ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା କରାଯାଇଥିବା ଆଶ୍ଚର୍ଯ୍ୟ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ସବୁ ଦେଖି ତାହାଙ୍କ କଥାରେ ଅଧିକ ମନ ଦେଲେ। BSB BSB: The crowds all paid close attention to Philip’s message and to the signs they saw him perform.

He claimed to be someone great,
10 UDB ତେଣୁ ସାନ ଠାରୁ ବଡ଼ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ସମସ୍ତେ ଶିମୋନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଧ୍ୟାନ ଦେଲେ। ସେମାନେ କହିଲେ"ଏହି ଲୋକଠାରେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଶକ୍ତି ଅଛି। ଯାହାକୁ କି 'ମହାନ ଶକ୍ତି' ବୋଲି କୁହାଯାଏ।" BSB BSB: and all the people, from the least to the greatest, heeded his words and said, “This man is the divine power called the Great Power.”

12 UDB କିନ୍ତୁ ଯେତେବେଳେ ସେମାନେ ଫିଲିପ୍ପଙ୍କଠାରୁ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ରାଜ୍ୟ ଓ ଯୀଶୁଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କ ଶକ୍ତି ବିଷୟକ ସୁସମ୍ବାଦ ଶୁଣିଲେ ଓ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କଲେ I ସେତେବେଳେ ପୁରୁଷ ଓ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଯେତେଲୋକ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କଠାରେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କଲେ ବାପ୍ତିଜିତ ହେଲେ I BSB BSB: But when they believed Philip as he preached the gospel of the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.
13 UDB ଶିମୋନ ନିଜେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଫିଲିପ୍ପଙ୍କ କଥାରେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କଲେ ଓ ବାପ୍ତିଜିତ ହୋଇ ଫିଲିପ୍ପଙ୍କ ସହିତ ରହିଲେ। ସେ ଅସାଧାରଣ, ଆଶ୍ଚର୍ଯ୍ୟ ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଚ଼ିହ୍ନମାନ ଦେଖି ବିସ୍ମିତ ହେଲେ, ଏଥିରୁ ଜଣା ପଡିଲା ଯେ ଫିଲିପ୍ପ ସତ୍ୟ କହୁଛନ୍ତି I BSB BSB: Even Simon himself believed and was baptized. He followed Philip closely and was astounded by the great signs and miracles he observed.

16 UDB ସେମାନେ କେବଳ ପ୍ରଭୁ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ନାମରେ ବାପ୍ତିଜିତ ହୋଇଥିଲେ। କିନ୍ତୁ ସେ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ କାହା ଉପରେ ପବିତ୍ର ଆତ୍ମା ଅଧିଷ୍ଠିତ ହୋଇ ନ ଥିଲେ। BSB BSB: For the Holy Spirit had not yet fallen upon any of them; they had simply been baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus.
17 UDB ତା'ପରେ ପିତର ଓ ଯୋହନ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ନିଜ ହାତ ରଖିଲେ ଓ ସେମାନେ ପବିତ୍ର ଆତ୍ମାଙ୍କୁ ଗ୍ରହଣ କଲେ I BSB BSB: Then Peter and John laid their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.
18 UDB ପ୍ରେରିତମାନଙ୍କ ହାତ ରଖିବା ଦ୍ୱାରା ପବିତ୍ର ଆତ୍ମା ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହେବା ଶିମୋନ ଦେଖିଲା। ତେଣୁ ଶିମୋନ ପ୍ରେରିତମାନଙ୍କୁ ଟଙ୍କା ଯାଚି କହିଲା, BSB BSB: When Simon saw that the Spirit was given through the laying on of the apostles’ hands, he offered them money.
19 UDB "ମୋତେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଏହି ଶକ୍ତି ଦିଅ, ଯେପରିକି ମୁଁ ଯାହା ଉପରେ ହାତ ରଖିବି, ସେ ପବିତ୍ର ଆତ୍ମା ପାଇପାରିବ।" BSB BSB: “Give me this power as well,” he said, “so that everyone on whom I lay my hands may receive the Holy Spirit.”
20 UDB କିନ୍ତୁ ପିତର ତାହାକୁ କହିଲେ, "ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଟଙ୍କା ସବୁଦିନ ପାଇଁ ନଷ୍ଟ ହୋଇଯାଉ, କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଭାବିଲ ଯେ, ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଦାନ ଟଙ୍କାରେ କିଣି ହେବ! BSB BSB: But Peter replied, “May your silver perish with you, because you thought you could buy the gift of God with money!
21 UDB ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆମ୍ଭ ସହିତ ଓ କାମରେ ଭାଗ ନେଇ ପାରିବ ନାହିଁ କାରଣ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ତୁମ୍ଭର ହୃଦୟ ନିର୍ମଳ ନାହିଁ। BSB BSB: You have no part or share in our ministry, because your heart is not right before God.
22 UDB ତେଣୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଦୁଷ୍କର୍ମରୁ ବିମୁଖ ହୋଇ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କଠାରେ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କର। ହୁଏତ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ତୁମ୍ଭର ହୃଦୟରେ ଥିବା କୁଚ଼ିନ୍ତାକୁ କ୍ଷମା କରନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: Repent, therefore, of your wickedness, and pray to the Lord. Perhaps He will forgive you for the intent of your heart.
23 UDB ମନ୍ଦ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟରୁ ବିମୁଖ ହୁଅ, କାରଣ ମୁଁ ଦେଖୁଛି, ତୁମ୍ଭ ମନରେ ତିକ୍ତତା ପୁରି ରହିଛ ଓ ପାପ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଦାସ ପରି ତୁମ୍ଭ ଉପରେ କତ୍ତୃତ୍ୱ କରୁଛି।" BSB BSB: For I see that you are poisoned by bitterness and captive to iniquity.”
24 UDB ଶିମୋନ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲା, "ତୁମ୍ଭେ କହିଥିବା କୌଣସି କଥା ଯେପରି ମୋ ପ୍ରତି ନ ଘଟେ, ସେଥିପାଇଁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଦୁହେଁ ମୋ ପାଇଁ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କର।" BSB BSB: Then Simon answered, “Pray to the Lord for me, so that nothing you have said may happen to me.”
25 UDB ପ୍ରେରିତମାନେ ଶମିରୋଣର ଅନେକ ଗ୍ରାମରେ ଶୁଭ ସମାଚ଼ାର କହି ଯିରୂଶାଲମକୁ ଫେରିଗଲେ। ସେମାନେ ଫେରିବା ସମୟରେ ଶମିରୋଣୀୟମାନଙ୍କର ବହୁତ ଗ୍ରାମରେ ସୁସମାଚ଼ାର ପ୍ରଚ଼ାର କଲେ। BSB BSB: And after Peter and John had testified and spoken the word of the Lord, they returned to Jerusalem, preaching the gospel in many of the Samaritan villages.
27 UDB ଫିଲିପ୍ପ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ ହୋଇ ବାହାରିଲେ। ସେହି ରାସ୍ତାରେ ଜଣେ ନପୁଂସକ ସଙ୍ଗରେ ଦେଖା ହେଲା। ସେହି ନଫୁସକ ଇଥିଓପିଆରୁ ଆସିଥିଲେ। ସେ କାଣ୍ଡାକି ନାମ୍ନୀ ରାଣୀଙ୍କର ଜଣେ ଉଚ୍ଚ ପଦସ୍ଥ କର୍ମଚ଼ାରୀ ଥିଲେ। ସେ ତାହାଙ୍କର ସମସ୍ତ ସମ୍ପତ୍ତିର ଦାଯିତ୍ୱରେ ଥିଲେ। ନଫୁସକ ଜଣକ ଉପାସନା କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଯିରୂଶାଲମକୁ ଯାଇଥିଲେ। BSB BSB: So he started out, and on his way he met an Ethiopian eunuch, a court official in charge of the entire treasury of Candace, queen of the Ethiopians. He had gone to Jerusalem to worship,

29 UDB ସେତେବେଳେ ପବିତ୍ର ଆତ୍ମା ଫିଲିପ୍ପଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, "ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସେ ରଥ ପାଖକୁ ଯାଇ ସେଠାରେ ରୁହ।" BSB BSB: The Spirit said to Philip, “Go over to that chariot and stay by it.”
31 UDB ନଫୁସକ ଫିଲିପ୍ପକୁ କହିଲେ, "ଯଦି କେହି ଏହା ବୁଝିବାକୁ ସାହାଯ୍ୟ କରିବେ ନାହିଁ, ତେବେ ମୁଁ ଏହା କିପରି ବୁଝିବି?" ତେଣୁ ସେ ଫିଲିପ୍ପଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ," ଦୟାକରି ଉପରକୁ ଆସ ଓ ମୋ’ ପାଖରେ ବସ I BSB BSB: “How can I,” he said, “unless someone guides me?” And he invited Philip to come up and sit with him.
33 UDB ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଅପମାନୀତ ଓ ଅନ୍ୟାୟ କରାଗଲା ଓ କିଏ ତାହାଙ୍କ ବଂଶ ବିଷୟରେ କଥାବାର୍ତ୍ତା କରିବ ନାହିଁ, କାରଣ ତାହାଙ୍କର କୌଣସି ବଂଶ ରହିବ ନାହିଁ! ଏହି ପୃଥିବୀରେ ତାହାଙ୍କର ଜୀବନକାଳକୁ ଶେଷ କରାଯିବ।" BSB BSB: In His humiliation He was deprived of justice. Who can recount His descendants? For His life was removed from the earth.”
34 UDB ନଫୁସକ ଫିଲିପ୍ପଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, "ମୋତେ ଦୟାକରି କୁହ, କାହା ବିଷୟରେ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ ବକ୍ତା ଏହା କହୁଛନ୍ତି? ସେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ନିଜ ବିଷୟରେ କହୁଛନ୍ତି ନା ଆଉ କାହା ବିଷୟରେ କହୁଛନ୍ତି?" BSB BSB: “Tell me,” said the eunuch, “who is the prophet talking about, himself or someone else?”
35 UDB ତା'ପରେ ଫିଲିପ୍ପ ନଫୁସକକୁ କହିଲେ, ଶାସ୍ତ୍ରର ସେହି ବାକ୍ୟରୁ ଆରମ୍ଭ କରି ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କର ସୁସମାଚ଼ାର ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ। BSB BSB: Then Philip began with this very Scripture and told him the good news about Jesus.
36 UDB -37ସେମାନେ ଏହିପରି ରାସ୍ତାରେ ଯାଉ ଯାଉ ଜଳଥିବା ଗୋଟିଏ ଜାଗାରେ ପହଁଚିଲେ, ଓ ନଫୁସକ ଜଣକ ଫିଲିପ୍ପକୁ କହିଲେ," ଦେଖ, ଏଠାରେ ତ ଜଳ ଅଛି। ମୁଁ ଏବେ ବାପ୍ତିଜିତ ହେବା ପାଇଁ ଚାହୁଁଛି, ମୋର ବାପ୍ତିଜିତ ହେବାର କିଛି ଅସୁବିଧା ଅଛି କି?" BSB BSB: As they traveled along the road and came to some water, the eunuch said, “Look, here is water! What is there to prevent me from being baptized?”

39 UDB ସେମାନେ ଜଳ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଉଠି ଆସନ୍ତେ, ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ଆତ୍ମା ଫିଲିପ୍ପଙ୍କୁ ଘେନିଗଲେ, ପୁଣି ନପୁଂସକ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଆଉ ଦେଖିଲେ ନାହିଁ; ତଥାପି ସେ ଆନନ୍ଦ କରୁ କରୁ ଆପଣା ପଥରେ ଚାଲିଗଲେ I BSB BSB: When they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord carried Philip away, and the eunuch saw him no more, but went on his way rejoicing.
40 UDB କିନ୍ତୁ ଫିଲିପ୍ପ ଅନୁଭବ କଲେ ଯେ ପବିତ୍ର ଆତ୍ମା ଆଶ୍ଚର୍ଯ୍ୟ ଭାବରେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଅଷ୍ଦୋଦ ନଗରକୁ ନେଲେ ଓ କାଇସରୀଆ ନଗରକୁ ଯିବା ବାଟରେ ସବୁ ସହରରେ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ସୁସମାଚ଼ାର ପ୍ରଚ଼ାର କରି ଚ଼ାଲିଲେ I ଆଉ ସେ କାଇସରୀଆରେ ପହଞ୍ଚିବା ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ତାହା କଲେ I BSB BSB: But Philip appeared at Azotus and traveled through that region, preaching the gospel in all the towns until he came to Caesarea.
