1 UDB ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯେପରି ବିଘ୍ନ ନ ପାଅ, ଏଥି ନିମନ୍ତେ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏହି ସମସ୍ତ କଥା କହିଅଛି। BSB BSB: “I have told you these things so that you will not fall away.
2 UDB ସେମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ସମାଜଗୃହରୁ ବାହାର କରିବେ, ହଁ, ଏପରି ସମୟ ଆସୁଅଛି, ଯେତେବେଳେ ଯେ କେହି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ବଧ କରେ, ସେ ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ ଉପାସନାରୂପ ବଳି ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗ କରୁଅଛି ବୋଲି ମନେ କରିବ। BSB BSB: They will put you out of the synagogues. In fact, a time is coming when anyone who kills you will think he is offering a service to God.
3 UDB ଆଉ, ସେମାନେ ଏହାସବୁ କରିବେ, କାରଣ ସେମାନେ ପିତାଙ୍କୁ କିମ୍ବା ମୋତେ ଜାଣି ନାହାନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: They will do these things because they have not known the Father or Me.
4 UDB ମାତ୍ର ଏସମସ୍ତ ଘଟିବାର ସମୟ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେଲେ, ମୁଁ ଯେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଥିଲି, ଏହା ଯେପରି ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସ୍ମରଣ କର, ଏଥି ନିମନ୍ତେ ମୁଁ ଏହି ସବୁ କଥା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଅଛି। ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଥିବାରୁ ଆରମ୍ଭରୁ ଏହି ସବୁ କଥା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲି ନାହିଁ। BSB BSB: But I have told you these things so that when their hour comes, you will remember that I told you about them. I did not tell you these things from the beginning, because I was with you.
5 UDB କିନ୍ତୁ ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ମୁଁ ମୋହର ପ୍ରେରଣକର୍ତ୍ତାଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଯାଉଅଛି, ଆଉ ତୁମ୍ଭେ କେଉଁ ସ୍ଥାନକୁ ଯାଉଅଛ ବୋଲି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ କେହି ମୋତେ ପଚାରୁ ନାହଁ। BSB BSB: Now, however, I am going to Him who sent Me; yet none of you asks Me, ‘Where are You going?’
6 UDB ମାତ୍ର ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏହି ସମସ୍ତ କଥା କହିଥିବାରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ହୃଦୟ ଦୁଃଖରେ ପରିପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ହୋଇଅଛି। BSB BSB: Instead, your hearts are filled with sorrow because I have told you these things.
8 UDB ସେ ଆସି ପାପ, ଧାର୍ମିକତା ଓ ବିଚାର ବିଷୟରେ ଜଗତକୁ ପ୍ରମାଣ ଦେବେ; BSB BSB: And when He comes, He will convict the world in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment:
9 UDB ପାପ ବିଷୟରେ- କାରଣ ସେମାନେ ମୋ'ଠାରେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ; BSB BSB: in regard to sin, because they do not believe in Me;
10 UDB ଧାର୍ମିକତା ବିଷୟରେ- କାରଣ ମୁଁ ପିତାଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଯାଉଅଛି ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମୋତେ ଆଉ ଦେଖିବ ନାହିଁ; BSB BSB: in regard to righteousness, because I am going to the Father and you will no longer see Me;
11 UDB ବିଚାର ବିଷୟରେ- କାରଣ ଏହି ଜଗତର ଅଧିପତି ବିଚାରିତ ହୋଇଅଛି। BSB BSB: and in regard to judgment, because the prince of this world has been condemned.
12 UDB ମୋହର ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆହୁରି ଅନେକ କଥା କହିବାର ଅଛି, ମାତ୍ର ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଏବେ ସେହି ସବୁ ସହି ପାର ନାହିଁ। BSB BSB: I still have much to tell you, but you cannot yet bear to hear it.
13 UDB କିନ୍ତୁ ସେ, ଅର୍ଥାତ୍, ସତ୍ୟମୟ ଆତ୍ମା ଆସିଲେ ସେ ପଥ ଦେଖାଇ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ସମସ୍ତ ସତ୍ୟରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରାଇବେ, କାରଣ ସେ ଆପଣାଠାରୁ କଥା କହିବେ ନାହିଁ, ମାତ୍ର ଯାହା ଯାହା ଶୁଣିବେ, ସେହି ସବୁ କହିବେ, ପୁଣି, ଆଗାମୀ ବିଷୟସବୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଜଣାଇବେ। BSB BSB: However, when the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth. For He will not speak on His own, but He will speak what He hears, and He will declare to you what is to come. 14 UDB ସେ ମୋତେ ଗୌରବାନ୍ୱିତ କରିବେ, କାରଣ ସେ ମୋ' ବିଷୟ ଘେନି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଜଣାଇବେ। BSB BSB: He will glorify Me by taking from what is Mine and disclosing it to you.
15 UDB ଯାହା ଯାହା ପିତାଙ୍କର, ସେହି ସବୁ ମୋହର; ଏହି ହେତୁ ମୁଁ କହିଲି, ସେ ମୋହର ବିଷୟ ଘେନି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଜଣାଇବେ। BSB BSB: Everything that belongs to the Father is Mine. That is why I said that the Spirit will take from what is Mine and disclose it to you.
16 UDB ଅଳ୍ପମାତ୍ର ସମୟ ରହିଲା, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମୋତେ ଆଉ ଦେଖିବ ନାହିଁ, ପୁନର୍ବାର ଅଳ୍ପ ସମୟ ଉତ୍ତାରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମୋତେ ଦେଖିବ। BSB BSB: In a little while you will see Me no more, and then after a little while you will see Me.”
17 UDB ସେଥିରେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ କେହି କେହି ପରସ୍ପର କହିଲେ, ଅଳ୍ପମାତ୍ର ସମୟ ରହିଲା, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମୋତେ ଦେଖିବ ନାହିଁ, ପୁନର୍ବାର ଅଳ୍ପ ସମୟ ଉତ୍ତାରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମୋତେ ଦେଖିବ ଓ ମୁଁ ପିତାଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଯାଉଅଛି, ଏହି ଯେଉଁ କଥା ସେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହୁଅଛନ୍ତି, ଏହା କ'ଣ? BSB BSB: Then some of His disciples asked one another, “Why is He telling us, ‘In a little while you will not see Me, and then after a little while you will see Me’ and ‘Because I am going to the Father’?”
18 UDB ଏଣୁ ସେମାନେ କହିଲେ, ଅଳ୍ପ ସମୟ ବୋଲି ଏ କ'ଣ କହୁଅଛନ୍ତି? ସେ କ'ଣ କହୁଅଛନ୍ତି, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ବୁଝି ପାରୁ ନାହୁଁ। BSB BSB: They kept asking, “Why is He saying, ‘a little while’? We do not understand what He is saying.”
19 UDB ସେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ପଚାରିବାକୁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କରୁଅଛନ୍ତି ବୋଲି ବୁଝି ଯୀଶୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ଅଳ୍ପମାତ୍ର ସମୟ ରହିଲା, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମୋତେ ଦେଖିବ ନାହିଁ, ପୁନର୍ବାର ଅଳ୍ପ ସମୟ ଉତ୍ତାରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମୋତେ ଦେଖିବ, ମୁଁ ଏହି ଯେଉଁ କଥା କହିଲି, ସେ ବିଷୟ ଘେନି ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କ'ଣ ପରସ୍ପର ବାଦାନୁବାଦ କରୁଅଛ? BSB BSB: Aware that they wanted to question Him, Jesus said to them, “Are you asking one another why I said, ‘In a little while you will not see Me, and then after a little while you will see Me’?
20 UDB ସତ୍ୟ ସତ୍ୟ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହୁଅଛି, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ରୋଦନ ଓ ବିଳାପ କରିବ, କିନ୍ତୁ ଜଗତ ଆନନ୍ଦ କରିବ; ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଦୁଃଖିତ ହେବ, କିନ୍ତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଦୁଃଖ ଆନନ୍ଦରେ ପରିଣତ ହେବ। BSB BSB: Truly, truly, I tell you, you will weep and wail while the world rejoices. You will grieve, but your grief will turn to joy.
21 UDB ପ୍ରସବ ସମୟ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେଲେ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀଲୋକ ଦୁଃଖ ପାଏ; କିନ୍ତୁ ସେ ସନ୍ତାନ ପ୍ରସବ କଲା ଉତ୍ତାରେ ଜଗତରେ ଜଣେ ମାନବ ଜନ୍ମଗ୍ରହଣ କଲା, ଏହି ଆନନ୍ଦ ଯୋଗୁଁ ଆଉ କଷ୍ଟ ସ୍ମରଣ କରେ ନାହିଁ। BSB BSB: A woman has pain in childbirth because her time has come; but when she brings forth her child, she forgets her anguish because of her joy that a child has been born into the world.
22 UDB ସେହିପରି ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ଦୁଃଖ ପାଉଅଛ, କିନ୍ତୁ ମୁଁ ପୁନର୍ବାର ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦର୍ଶନ ଦେବି, ଆଉ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ହୃଦୟ ଆନନ୍ଦିତ ହେବ ଓ କେହି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କଠାରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଆନନ୍ଦ ହରଣ କରିବ ନାହିଁ। BSB BSB: So also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy.
23 UDB ସେ ଦିନ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମୋତେ କିଛି ପଚାରିବ ନାହିଁ। ସତ୍ୟ ସତ୍ୟ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହୁଅଛି, ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ପିତାଙ୍କୁ କିଛି ମାଗିବ, ତେବେ ମୋ' ନାମରେ ସେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ତାହା ଦେବେ। BSB BSB: In that day you will no longer ask Me anything. Truly, truly, I tell you, whatever you ask the Father in My name, He will give you.
24 UDB ଏପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମୋ' ନାମରେ କିଛି ମାଗି ନାହଁ; ମାଗ, ପୁଣି, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଆନନ୍ଦ ଯେପରି ପରିପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ହୁଏ, ସେଥିନିମନ୍ତେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ତାହା ପାଇବ। BSB BSB: Until now you have not asked for anything in My name. Ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete.
25 UDB ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଉପମା ଦ୍ୱାରା ଏହି ସମସ୍ତ କଥା କହିଅଛି; ସମୟ ଆସୁଅଛି, ଯେତେବେଳେ ମୁଁ ଆଉ ଉପମା ଦ୍ୱାରା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିବି ନାହିଁ, କିନ୍ତୁ ପିତାଙ୍କ ବିଷୟ ସ୍ପଷ୍ଟରୂପେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଜଣାଇବି। BSB BSB: I have spoken these things to you in figures of speech. An hour is coming when I will no longer speak to you this way, but will tell you plainly about the Father.
26 UDB ସେ ଦିନ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମୋ' ନାମରେ ମାଗିବ; ଆଉ, ମୁଁ ଯେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସପକ୍ଷରେ ପିତାଙ୍କୁ ନିବେଦନ କରିବି, ଏହା ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହୁ ନାହିଁ; BSB BSB: In that day you will ask in My name. I am not saying that I will ask the Father on your behalf.
27 UDB କାରଣ ପିତା ସ୍ୱୟଂ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରେମ କରନ୍ତି, ଯେଣୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମୋତେ ସ୍ନେହ କରିଅଛ ଓ ମୁଁ ଯେ ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ନିକଟରୁ ଆସିଅଛି, ତାହା ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରିଅଛ। BSB BSB: For the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me and have believed that I came from God.
28 UDB ମୁଁ ପିତାଙ୍କ ନିକଟରୁ ଜଗତକୁ ଆସିଅଛି; ପୁନର୍ବାର ମୁଁ ଜଗତ ପରିତ୍ୟାଗ କରି ପିତାଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଯାଉଅଛି। BSB BSB: I came from the Father and entered the world. In turn, I will leave the world and go to the Father.”
29 UDB ତାହାଙ୍କ ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନେ କହିଲେ, ଦେଖନ୍ତୁ, ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ଆପଣ ସ୍ପଷ୍ଟରୂପେ କହୁଅଛନ୍ତି ଓ ଉପମା ଦ୍ୱାରା କଥା ଆଉ କହୁ ନାହାନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: His disciples said, “See, now You are speaking plainly and without figures of speech.
30 UDB ଆପଣ ଯେ ସମସ୍ତ ବିଷୟ ଜାଣନ୍ତି, ପୁଣି, କେହି ଆପଣଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରଶ୍ନ କରିବାର ଯେ ଆପଣଙ୍କର ପ୍ରୟୋଜନ ନାହିଁ, ତାହା ଏବେ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଜାଣିଲୁ; ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ନିକଟରୁ ଆପଣ ଆସିଅଛନ୍ତି ବୋଲି ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଏହା ଦ୍ୱାରା ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରୁଅଛୁ। BSB BSB: Now we understand that You know all things and that You have no need for anyone to question You. Because of this, we believe that You came from God.”
31 UDB ଯୀଶୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କ'ଣ ଏବେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରୁଅଛ? BSB BSB: “Do you finally believe?” Jesus replied.
32 UDB ଦେଖ, ସମୟ ଆସୁଅଛି, ହଁ, ଆସିଲାଣି, ଯେତେବେଳେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଛିନ୍ନଭିନ୍ନ ହୋଇ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ଘରକୁ ପଳାଇଯିବ, ଆଉ ମୋତେ ଏକାକୀ ପରିତ୍ୟାଗ କରିବ; ତଥାପି ମୁଁ ଏକାକୀ ନୁହେଁ, କାରଣ ପିତା ମୋ' ସାଙ୍ଗରେ ଅଛନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: “Look, an hour is coming and has already come when you will be scattered, each to his own home, and you will leave Me all alone. Yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me.
33 UDB ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯେପରି ମୋ'ଠାରେ ଶାନ୍ତି ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହୁଅ, ଏଥି ନିମନ୍ତେ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏହି ସବୁ ବିଷୟ କହିଅଛି। ଜଗତରେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ କ୍ଳେଶ ଅଛି, କିନ୍ତୁ ସାହସ ଧର; ମୁଁ ଜଗତକୁ ଜୟ କରିଅଛି। BSB BSB: I have told you these things so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take courage; I have overcome the world!”
