3 UDB ଯୀଶୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, ଈଏ କିମ୍ବା ଏହାର ପିତାମାତା ପାପ କଲେ ନାହିଁ, କିନ୍ତୁ ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ କର୍ମ ଯେପରି ଏହାଠାରେ ପ୍ରକାଶିତ ହୁଏ, ଏନିମନ୍ତେ ଏହା ଘଟିଅଛି। BSB BSB: Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but this happened so that the works of God would be displayed in him.
4 UDB ଦିନ ଥାଉ ଥାଉ ମୋହର ପ୍ରେରଣକର୍ତ୍ତାଙ୍କ କର୍ମ କରିବା ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ କର୍ତ୍ତବ୍ୟ; ଯେଉଁ ସମୟରେ କେହି କର୍ମ କରି ପାରେ ନାହିଁ, ଏପରି ରାତ୍ରି ଆସୁଅଛି। BSB BSB: While it is daytime, we must do the works of Him who sent Me. Night is coming, when no one can work.
5 UDB ମୁଁ ଯେପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଜଗତରେ ଅଛି, ସେପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ମୁଁ ଜଗତର ଜ୍ୟୋତିଃ। BSB BSB: While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”
6 UDB ଏହା କହି ସେ ମାଟିରେ ଛେପ ପକାଇ ସେହି ଛେପରେ କାଦୁଅ କଲେ, ଆଉ ତାହାର ଦୁଇ ଆଖିରେ କାଦୁଅ ଲଗାଇଲେ ଏବଂ ତାହାକୁ କହିଲେ, ଯାଅ, BSB BSB: When Jesus had said this, He spit on the ground, made some mud, and applied it to the man’s eyes.

9 UDB କେହି କେହି କହିଲେ, ଏ ସେ; ଆଉ କେହି କେହି କହିଲେ, ନା, ଏ ତାହା ପରି। ସେ କହିଲା, ମୁଁ ସେହି। BSB BSB: Some claimed that he was, but others said, “No, he just looks like him.” But the man kept saying, “I am the one.”
10 UDB ସେଥିରେ ସେମାନେ ତାହାକୁ କହିଲେ, ତାହାହେଲେ ତୋର ଆଖି କିପରି ଫିଟିଗଲା? BSB BSB: “How then were your eyes opened?” they asked.
11 UDB ସେ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲା, ଯାହାଙ୍କୁ ଯୀଶୁ ବୋଲି କହନ୍ତି, ସେହି ବ୍ୟକ୍ତି କାଦୁଅ କରି ମୋହର ଦୁଇ ଆଖିରେ ଲଗାଇଲେ ଏବଂ ମୋତେ କହିଲେ, ଶିଲୋହକୁ ଯାଇ ଧୋଇ ହୁଅ; ତେଣୁ ମୁଁ ବାହାରିଯାଇ ଧୋଇ ହେଲି ଓ ଦୃଷ୍ଟି ପାଇଲି। BSB BSB: He answered, “The man they call Jesus made some mud and anointed my eyes, and He told me to go to Siloam and wash. So I went and washed and received my sight.”
12 UDB ସେମାନେ ତାହାକୁ ପଚାରିଲେ, ସେ କାହିଁ? ସେ କହିଲା, ମୁଁ ଜାଣେ ନାହିଁ। BSB BSB: “Where is He?” they asked. “I do not know,” he answered.
13 UDB ଯେ ପୂର୍ବରେ ଅନ୍ଧ ଥିଲା, ସେମାନେ ତାହାକୁ ଫାରୂଶୀମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆଣିଲେ। BSB BSB: They brought to the Pharisees the man who had been blind.
14 UDB ଯୀଶୁ ଯେଉଁ ଦିନ କାଦୁଅ କରି ତାହାର ଆଖି ଫିଟାଇ ଦେଇଥିଲେ, ସେହି ଦିନ ବିଶ୍ରାମବାର। BSB BSB: Now the day on which Jesus had made the mud and opened his eyes was a Sabbath.
15 UDB ଅତଏବ, ସେ କିପରି ଦୃଷ୍ଟି ପାଇଲା, ଏହା ଫାରୂଶୀମାନେ ମଧ୍ୟ ତାହାକୁ ଆଉ ଥରେ ପଚାରିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ। ସେଥିରେ ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲା, ସେ ମୋହର ଆଖିରେ କାଦୁଅ ଲଗାଇଦେଲେ, ପରେ ମୁଁ ଧୋଇ ହେଲି ଓ ଦେଖି ପାରୁଅଛି। BSB BSB: So the Pharisees also asked him how he had received his sight. 16 UDB ତହୁଁ ଫାରୂଶୀମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ କେହି କେହି କହିଲେ, ସେ ଲୋକଟା ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ନିକଟରୁ ଆସି ନାହିଁ, କାରଣ ସେ ବିଶ୍ରାମବାର ପାଳନ କରୁ ନାହିଁ। ଆଉ, କେହି କେହି କହିଲେ, ପାପୀ ଲୋକ କିପରି ଏହି ପ୍ରକାର ଆଶ୍ଚର୍ଯ୍ୟ କର୍ମସବୁ କରି ପାରେ? ଏହିପରି ଭାବେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ମତଭେଦ ହେଲା। BSB BSB: Because of this, some of the Pharisees said, “This man is not from God, for He does not keep the Sabbath.” But others said, “How can a sinful man perform such signs?” And there was division among them.
17 UDB ତେଣୁ ସେମାନେ ଆହୁରି ଥରେ ସେହି ଅନ୍ଧ ଲୋକଟିକୁ ପଚାରିଲେ, ସେ ଯେ ତୋର ଆଖି ଫିଟାଇଲା, ଏଥିରେ ତୁ ତା' ବିଷୟରେ କ'ଣ କହୁଛୁ? ସେ କହିଲା, ସେ ଜଣେ ଭାବବାଦୀ। BSB BSB: So once again they asked the man who had been blind, “What do you say about Him, since it was your eyes He opened?” “He is a prophet,” the man replied.
18 UDB ସେ ଯେ ଅନ୍ଧ ଥିଲା ଆଉ ଦୃଷ୍ଟି ପାଇଅଛି, ସେହି ଦୃଷ୍ଟି ପାଇଥିବା ଲୋକର ପିତାମାତାଙ୍କୁ ଡାକି ନ ପଚାରିବା ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଯିହୂଦୀମାନେ ତାହା ସମ୍ବନ୍ଧରେ ଏହା ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କଲେ ନାହିଁ। BSB BSB: The Jews still did not believe that the man had been blind and had received his sight until they summoned his parents
19 UDB ସେମାନେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ପଚାରିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଯେଉଁ ପୁଅ ଅନ୍ଧ ହୋଇ ଜନ୍ମ ହୋଇଥିଲା ବୋଲି କହିଥାଅ, ଏ କ'ଣ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ସେହି ପୁଅ? ତାହାହେଲେ ସେ କିପରି ଏବେ ଦେଖୁଅଛି? BSB BSB: and asked, “Is this your son, the one you say was born blind? So how is it that he can now see?”
20 UDB ସେଥିରେ ତାହାର ପିତାମାତା ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, ଏ ଯେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପୁଅ ଓ ଏ ଯେ ଅନ୍ଧ ହୋଇ ଜନ୍ମ ହୋଇଥିଲା, ଏହା ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଜାଣୁ; BSB BSB: His parents answered, “We know he is our son, and we know he was born blind.
21 UDB କିନ୍ତୁ ସେ କିପରି ଏବେ ଦେଖୁଅଛି, ତାହା ଜାଣୁ ନାହିଁ, କିମ୍ବା କିଏ ତାହାର ଆଖି ଫିଟାଇଦେଲେ, ତାହା ମଧ୍ୟ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଜାଣୁ ନାହୁଁ; ତାହାକୁ ପଚାରନ୍ତୁ, ସେ ତ ବୟସପ୍ରାପ୍ତ, ସେ ଆପଣା କଥା ଆପେ କହିବ। BSB BSB: But how he can now see or who opened his eyes, we do not know. Ask him. He is old enough to speak for himself.”
22 UDB ତାହାର ପିତାମାତା ଯିହୂଦୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ଭୟ କରୁଥିବାରୁ ଏହି ସମସ୍ତ କଥା କହିଲେ, କାରଣ ଯଦି କେହି ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ବୋଲି ସ୍ୱୀକାର କରେ, ତାହାହେଲେ ସେ ସମାଜଗୃହରୁ ବାହାର କରାଯିବ ବୋଲି ସେଥିପୂର୍ବେ ଯିହୂଦୀମାନେ ଏକମତ ହୋଇଥିଲେ। BSB BSB: His parents said this because they were afraid of the Jews. For the Jews had already determined that anyone who confessed Jesus as the Christ would be put out of the synagogue.
23 UDB ଅତଏବ, ତାହାର ପିତାମାତା କହିଲେ, ସେ ବୟସପ୍ରାପ୍ତ, ତାହାକୁ ପଚାରନ୍ତୁ। BSB BSB: That was why his parents said, “He is old enough. Ask him.”
24 UDB ସେଥିରେ ପୂର୍ବରେ ଅନ୍ଧ ଥିବା ଲୋକକୁ ସେମାନେ ଦ୍ୱିତୀୟ ଥର ଡାକି କହିଲେ, ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କୁ ଗୌରବ ଦିଅ, ସେ ଲୋକଟା ଯେ ପାପୀ, ଏହା ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଜାଣୁ। BSB BSB: So a second time they called for the man who had been blind and said, “Give glory to God! We know that this man is a sinner.”
25 UDB ସେଥିରେ ସେ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲା, ସେ ପାପୀ କି ନୁହେଁ, ମୁଁ ତାହା ଜାଣେ ନାହିଁ; ମୁଁ ଗୋଟିଏ ବିଷୟ ଜାଣେ, ମୁଁ ଅନ୍ଧ ଥିଲି, ଏବେ ଦେଖି ପାରୁଅଛି। BSB BSB: He answered, “Whether He is a sinner I do not know. There is one thing I do know: I was blind, but now I see!”
26 UDB ତେଣୁ ସେମାନେ ତାକୁ କହିଲେ, ସେ ତୋତେ କ'ଣ କଲା? ସେ କିପ୍ରକାରେ ତୋର ଆଖି ଫିଟାଇଦେଲା? BSB BSB: “What did He do to you?” they asked. “How did He open your eyes?”
27 UDB ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲା, ମୁଁ କହିସାରିଲିଣି, ଆଉ ଆପଣମାନେ ଶୁଣିଲେ ନାହିଁ; କାହିଁକି ଆଉ ଥରେ ଶୁଣିବାକୁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କରୁଅଛନ୍ତି? ଆପଣମାନେ ମଧ୍ୟ କ'ଣ ତାହାଙ୍କର ଶିଷ୍ୟ ହେବାକୁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କରୁଅଛନ୍ତି? BSB BSB: He replied, “I already told you, and you did not listen. Why do you want to hear it again? Do you also want to become His disciples?”
28 UDB ତହିଁରେ ସେମାନେ କ୍ରୋଧାନ୍ୱିତ ହୋଇ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଅପମାନିତ କରି କହିଲେ, ତୁ ସେ ଲୋକର ଶିଷ୍ୟ ମାତ୍ର ଆମେ ମୋଶାଙ୍କର ଶିଷ୍ୟ ଅଟୁ। BSB BSB: Then they heaped insults on him and said, “You are His disciple; we are disciples of Moses.
29 UDB ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଜାଣୁ ଯେ, ଈଶ୍ୱର ମୋଶାଙ୍କୁ କଥା କହିଅଛନ୍ତି, କିନ୍ତୁ ଏ ଲୋକଟା କେଉଁଠାରୁ ଆସିଅଛି, ତାହା ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଜାଣୁ ନାହିଁ। BSB BSB: We know that God spoke to Moses, but we do not know where this man is from.”
30 UDB ସେହି ଲୋକଟି ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲା, ସେ ମୋହର ଆଖି ଫିଟାଇଦେଲେ, ଆଉ ସେ କେଉଁଠାରୁ ଆସିଅଛନ୍ତି, ତାହା ଆପଣମାନେ ଜାଣନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ, ଏ ତ ଆଶ୍ଚର୍ଯ୍ୟ କଥା। BSB BSB: “That is remarkable indeed!” the man said. “You do not know where He is from, and yet He opened my eyes.
31 UDB ଈଶ୍ୱର ଯେ ପାପୀମାନଙ୍କ କଥା ଶୁଣନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ, ଏହା ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଜାଣୁ, କିନ୍ତୁ ଯଦି କେହି ଈଶ୍ୱରଭକ୍ତ ହୋଇ ତାହାଙ୍କର ଇଚ୍ଛା ସାଧନ କରେ, ତାହାହେଲେ ସେ ତା'ର କଥା ଶୁଣନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: We know that God does not listen to sinners, but He does listen to the one who worships Him and does His will.
32 UDB କେହି ଯେ ଜନ୍ମାନ୍ଧର ଚକ୍ଷୁ ଫିଟାଇଦେଲା, ଏହା ତ କଦାପି ଶୁଣାଯାଇ ନ ଥିଲା। BSB BSB: Never before has anyone heard of opening the eyes of a man born blind.
33 UDB ଏ ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଆସି ନ ଥିଲେ କିଛି କରିପାରନ୍ତେ ନାହିଁ। BSB BSB: If this man were not from God, He could do no such thing.”
34 UDB ସେମାନେ ତାକୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, ତୁ ତ ପୁରା ପାପରେ ଜନ୍ମ ହେଲୁ, ଆଉ ତୁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦେଉଅଛୁ? ସେଥିରେ ସେମାନେ ତାକୁ ବାହାର କରିଦେଲେ। BSB BSB: They replied, “You were born in utter sin, and you are instructing us?” And they threw him out.
35 UDB ସେମାନେ ଯେ ତାକୁ ବାହାର କରିଦେଇଅଛନ୍ତି, ଯୀଶୁ ଏହା ଶୁଣି ତା'ର ଦେଖା ପାଇ କହିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ କ'ଣ ମନୁଷ୍ୟପୁତ୍ରଙ୍କଠାରେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରୁଅଛ? BSB BSB: When Jesus heard that they had thrown him out, He found the man and said, “Do you believe in the Son of Man?”
36 UDB ସେ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲା, ହେ ପ୍ରଭୁ, ସେ କିଏ କହନ୍ତୁ, ଯେପରି ମୁଁ ତାହାଙ୍କଠାରେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରିବି? BSB BSB: “Who is He, Sir?” he replied. “Tell me so that I may believe in Him.”
37 UDB ଯୀଶୁ ତାକୁ କହିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖିଅଛ, ଆଉ ଯେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ସାଙ୍ଗରେ କଥା କହୁଅଛନ୍ତି, ସେ ସେହି। BSB BSB: “You have already seen Him,” Jesus answered. “He is the One speaking with you.”
38 UDB ସେଥିରେ ସେ କହିଲା, ପ୍ରଭୁ ମୁଁ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରୁଅଛି; ଆଉ, ସେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରଣାମ କଲା। BSB BSB: “Lord, I believe,” he said. And he worshiped Jesus.
39 UDB ପୁଣି, ଯୀଶୁ କହିଲେ, ଦେଖୁ ନ ଥିବା ଲୋକେ ଯେପରି ଦେଖନ୍ତି ଓ ଦେଖୁଥିବା ଲୋକେ ଯେପରି ଅନ୍ଧ ହୁଅନ୍ତି, ଏହି ବିଚାର ନିମନ୍ତେ ମୁଁ ଜଗତକୁ ଆସିଅଛି। BSB BSB: Then Jesus declared, “For judgment I have come into this world, so that the blind may see and those who see may become blind.”
40 UDB ଫାରୂଶୀମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଯେଉଁମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ସାଙ୍ଗରେ ଥିଲେ, ସେମାନେ ଏହା ଶୁଣି ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମଧ୍ୟ କ'ଣ ଅନ୍ଧ? BSB BSB: Some of the Pharisees who were with Him heard this, and they asked Him, “Are we blind too?”
41 UDB ଯୀଶୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ଯଦି ଅନ୍ଧ ହୋଇଥା'ନ୍ତ, ତାହାହେଲେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପାପ ନ ଥାଆନ୍ତା, କିନ୍ତୁ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଦେଖୁଅଛୁ, ଏହା ଏବେ କହୁଅଛ; ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ପାପରେ ରହୁଅଛ। BSB BSB: “If you were blind,” Jesus replied, “you would not be guilty of sin. But since you claim you can see, your guilt remains.”
