1 UDB ସେହି ସପ୍ତାହରେ ଦିନେ ଯୀଶୁ ଯେତେବେଳେ ମନ୍ଦିରରେ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦେଉଥିଲେ ଓ ସୁସମାଚାର ପ୍ରଚାର କରୁଥିଲେ I ସେତେବେଳେ ପ୍ରଧାନ ଯାଜକ, ଶାସ୍ତ୍ରୀମାନେ ଓ ପ୍ରାଚୀନମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସିଲେ I BSB BSB: One day as Jesus was teaching the people in the temple courts and proclaiming the gospel, the chief priests and scribes, together with the elders, came up to Him.
2 UDB ସେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ," ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କୁହ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ କେଉଁ ଅଧିକାରରେ ଏସମସ୍ତ କରୁଅଛ? ଅବା, କିଏ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଏହି ଅଧିକାର ଦେଲା?" BSB BSB: “Tell us,” they said, “by what authority are You doing these things, and who gave You this authority?”
3 UDB ସେ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, "ମୁଁ ମଧ୍ୟ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଗୋଟିଏ କଥା ପଚାରିବି, ମୋତେ କୁହ, BSB BSB: “I will also ask you a question,” Jesus replied. “Tell Me:
4 UDB ଯୋହନ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ବାପ୍ତିସ୍ମ ଦେବା ବିଷୟରେ: ବାପ୍ତିସ୍ମ ଦେବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଈଶ୍ୱର ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଆଜ୍ଞା ଦେଲେ ନା ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ମନୁଷ୍ୟମାନେ ଆଜ୍ଞା ଦେଲେ?" BSB BSB: John’s baptism—was it from heaven, or from men?”
5 UDB ସେଥିରେ ସେମାନେ ପରସ୍ପର ତର୍କବିତର୍କ କରି କହିଲେ, "ଯଦି 'ଈଶ୍ୱର ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଆଜ୍ଞା ଦେଲେ' ବୋଲି କହିବୁ, ତାହାହେଲେ ସେ କହିବେ, 'ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କାହିଁକି ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କଲ ନାହିଁ?' BSB BSB: They deliberated among themselves and said, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ He will ask, ‘Why did you not believe him?’
6 UDB କିନ୍ତୁ ଯଦି 'ବାପ୍ତିସ୍ମ ଦେବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ମନୁଷ୍ୟମାନେ ଆଜ୍ଞା ଦେଲେ' ବୋଲି କହିବୁ, ତେବେ ଲୋକ ସମସ୍ତେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ପଥର ଫୋପାଡ଼ି ମାରିପକାଇବେ, କାରଣ ଯୋହନ ଯେ ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ପ୍ରେରିତ ଜଣେ ଭାବବାଦୀ, ଏହା ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଦୃଢ଼ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ I BSB BSB: But if we say, ‘From men,’ all the people will stone us, for they are convinced that John was a prophet.”
7 UDB ଏଣୁ ସେମାନେ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ ଯେ, ବାପ୍ତିସ୍ମ ଦେବା ନିମନ୍ତେ କିଏ ଯୋହନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ ତାହା ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଜାଣି ନାହୁଁ I BSB BSB: So they answered that they did not know where it was from.
8 UDB ଯୀଶୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, "ତେବେ ମୁଁ କେଉଁ ଅଧିକାରରେ ଏସମସ୍ତ କରୁଅଛି, ତାହା ମୁଁ ମଧ୍ୟ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିବି ନାହିଁ I" BSB BSB: And Jesus replied, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I am doing these things.”
9 UDB ଏହାପରେ ଯୀଶୁ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏହି ଦୃଷ୍ଟାନ୍ତ କହିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ, "ଜଣେ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତି ଗୋଟିଏ ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାକ୍ଷେତ୍ର କଲେ I ସେ ତାହା କୃଷକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଭାଗରେ ଦେଇ ବହୁକାଳ ନିମନ୍ତେ ବିଦେଶକୁ ଗଲେ I BSB BSB: Then He proceeded to tell the people this parable: “A man planted a vineyard, rented it out to some tenants, and went away for a long time.
10 UDB ଯେତେବେଳେ ଅଙ୍ଗୁର କ୍ଷେତ୍ରର ଫଳ ଅମଳ କରିବାର ସମୟ ଆସିଲା, ଆଉ କୃଷକମାନେ ଯେପରି ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଅଙ୍ଗୁର କ୍ଷେତ୍ରର ଫଳରୁ ଭାଗ ଦିଅନ୍ତି, ଏଥି ନିମନ୍ତେ ସେ ଜଣେ ଦାସକୁ ଉପଯୁକ୍ତ ସମୟରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ପଠାଇଲେ, କିନ୍ତୁ ସେହି କୃଷକ ପହଞ୍ଚିଲା ପରେ, ସେମାନେ ତାହାକୁ ପ୍ରହାର କରି ଖାଲି ହାତରେ ଫେରାଇଦେଲେ I BSB BSB: At harvest time, he sent a servant to the tenants to collect his share of the fruit of the vineyard. But the tenants beat the servant and sent him away empty-handed.
11 UDB ସେ ପୁଣି, ଆଉ ଜଣେ ଦାସକୁ ପଠାଇଲେ I ସେମାନେ ତାହାକୁ ମଧ୍ୟ ପ୍ରହାର ଓ ଅପମାନ ଦେଲେ I ସେମାନେ ତାହାକୁ ଶୂନ୍ୟ ହସ୍ତରେ ଫେରାଇଦେଲେ I BSB BSB: So he sent another servant, but they beat him and treated him shamefully, sending him away empty-handed.
12 UDB ପରେ ସେ ତୃତୀୟ ଜଣକୁ ମଧ୍ୟ ପଠାଇଲେ I କିନ୍ତୁ ସେମାନେ ତାହାକୁ ସୁଦ୍ଧା କ୍ଷତବିକ୍ଷତ କରି ବାହାରେ ଫୋପାଡ଼ିଦେଲେ I BSB BSB: Then he sent a third, but they wounded him and threw him out.
13 UDB ସେଥିରେ ଅଙ୍ଗୁର କ୍ଷେତ୍ରର ମାଲିକ ମନେ ମନେ କହିଲେ, 'ମୁଁ କଅଣ କରିବି? ମୋର ପ୍ରିୟ ପୁତ୍ରକୁ ପଠାଇବି, କେଜାଣି ସେମାନେ ତାହାକୁ ମାନ୍ୟ କରିବେ I' BSB BSB: ‘What shall I do?’ asked the owner of the vineyard. ‘I will send my beloved son. Perhaps they will respect him.’
14 UDB ତେଣୁ ସେ ଆପଣ ପୁତ୍ରଙ୍କୁ ପଠାଇଲେ, କିନ୍ତୁ କୃଷକମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖି ପରସ୍ପର ତର୍କବିତର୍କ କରି କହିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ, 'ଏ ତ ଉତ୍ତରାଧିକାରୀ, ଏହାକୁ ବଧ କରିବା, ଯେପରି ଅଧିକାର ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ହେବ I BSB BSB: But when the tenants saw the son, they discussed it among themselves and said, ‘This is the heir. Let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.’
15 UDB ପୁଣି, ସେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଅଙ୍ଗୁର କ୍ଷେତ୍ରର ବାହାରେ ଟାଣି ନେଇ ବଧ କଲେ I ଅତଏବ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିବି, ଅଙ୍ଗୁର କ୍ଷେତ୍ରର ମାଲିକ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି କଅଣ କରିବେ? BSB BSB: So they threw him out of the vineyard and killed him. What then will the owner of the vineyard do to them?
16 UDB ସେ ଆସି ଏହି କୃଷକମାନଙ୍କୁ ବିନାଶ କରିବେ ଓ ଅନ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅଙ୍ଗୁର କ୍ଷେତ୍ର ଦେବେ I ଯେତେବେଳେ ଲୋକମାନେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ଏହି କଥା ଶୁଣିଲେ, ସେମାନେ କହିଲେ, 'ତାହା ନ ହେଉ I' BSB BSB: He will come and kill those tenants and give the vineyard to others.” And when the people heard this, they said, “May such a thing never happen!”
17 UDB କିନ୍ତୁ ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏକଦୃଷ୍ଟିରେ ଚାହିଁ କହିଲେ, "ଏହିପରି ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କହିପାର, କିନ୍ତୁ ଏହି ଯେଉଁ ବାକ୍ୟ ଲେଖା ଅଛି, ତାହାର ଅର୍ଥ କଅଣ ତାହା ବିବେଚନା କର, 'ଗୃହନିର୍ମାଣକାରୀମାନେ ଯେଉଁ ପଥରକୁ ଅଗ୍ରାହ୍ୟ କଲେ, ତାହା କୋଣର ପ୍ରଧାନ ପଥର ହେଲା? BSB BSB: But Jesus looked directly at them and said, “Then what is the meaning of that which is written: ‘The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone’?
18 UDB ଯେ କେହି ସେହି ପଥର ଉପରେ ପଡ଼ିବ, ସେ ଖଣ୍ଡବିଖଣ୍ଡ ହେବ, ପୁଣି, ସେହି ପଥର ଯାହା ଉପରେ ପଡ଼ିବ, ତାହାକୁ ତାହା ଚୁର୍ଣ୍ଣବିଚୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ କରିବ I'" BSB BSB: Everyone who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces, but he on whom it falls will be crushed.”
19 UDB ଏଥିରେ ଶାସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଓ ପ୍ରଧାନ ଯାଜକମାନେ, ସେ ସେହି ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ଦୃଷ୍ଟାନ୍ତ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଲକ୍ଷ୍ୟ କରି କହିଥିଲେ ବୋଲି ସେମାନେ ବୁଝିଲେ I ତେଣୁ ସେହି ମୁହୁର୍ତ୍ତରେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଧରିବାକୁ ଚେଷ୍ଟା କଲେ, କିନ୍ତୁ ସେମାନେ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଭୟ କଲେ I BSB BSB: When the scribes and chief priests realized that Jesus had spoken this parable against them, they sought to arrest Him that very hour. But they were afraid of the people.
20 UDB ତେଣୁ ସେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଧ୍ୟାନପୁର୍ବକ ଲକ୍ଷ୍ୟ କଲେ I ସେମାନେ ନିଜ ନିଜକୁ ଧାର୍ମିକ ବୋଲି ଛଳନା କରୁଥିବା ଗୁପ୍ତଚରମାନଙ୍କୁ ପଠାଇଲେ I କିନ୍ତୁ ସେମାନେ ପ୍ରକୃତରେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଅଭିଯୋଗ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ସୁଯୋଗ ଖୋଜି ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ କଥାର ଭୁଲ୍ ଧରିବା ପାଇଁ ଚେଷ୍ଟା କରୁଥିଲେ I ଯେପରି ସେମାନେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ରାଜ୍ୟପାଳଙ୍କ ହାତରେ ଓ ଶାସନକର୍ତ୍ତାଙ୍କ ଶାସନର ଅଧିନରେ ସମର୍ପଣ କରି ପାରନ୍ତି I BSB BSB: So they watched Him closely and sent spies who pretended to be sincere. They were hoping to catch Him in His words in order to hand Him over to the rule and authority of the governor.
21 UDB ସେଥିରେ ଗୁପ୍ତଚରମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଜଣେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ପଚାରିଲେ, "ହେ ଗୁରୁ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଜାଣୁ, ଆପଣ ଠିକ୍ କଥା କହନ୍ତି ଓ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦିଅନ୍ତି I ପୁଣି, ଆପଣ ସତ୍ୟ କଥା କହନ୍ତି ଯଦିଓ ତାହା ପ୍ରଧାନ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଭଲ ଲାଗେ ନାହିଁ I ଆପଣ ମୁଖାପେକ୍ଷା କରନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ, ମାତ୍ର ସତ୍ୟ ରୂପେ ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ପଥ ବିଷୟରେ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦିଅନ୍ତି I BSB BSB: “Teacher,” they inquired, “we know that You speak and teach correctly. You show no partiality but teach the way of God in accordance with the truth.
22 UDB ତେଣୁ ବିଷୟରେ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ଚିନ୍ତାଧାରା କ'ଣ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହନ୍ତୁ: କାଇସରଙ୍କୁ କର ଦେବା ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଉଚିତ୍ କି ନାହିଁ?" BSB BSB: Is it lawful for us to pay taxes to Caesar or not?”
23 UDB କିନ୍ତୁ ଯୀଶୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଚତୁରତା ଯେପରି ସେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ସମସ୍ୟାରେ ପକାଇବେ ତାହା ବୁଝିଲେ ଆଉ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, BSB BSB: But Jesus saw through their duplicity and said to them,
24 UDB "ମୋତେ ଗୋଟିଏ ଅଧୁଲି (ମୁଦ୍ରା) ଦେଖାଅ I ମୋତେ କୁହ ଏଥିରେ କାହାର ମୂର୍ତ୍ତି ଓ ନାମ ଅଛି?" ସେଥିରେ ସେମାନେ ଗୋଟିଏ ଅଧୁଲି (ମୁଦ୍ରା) ଦେଖାଇ କହିଲେ, "କାଇସରଙ୍କର I" BSB BSB: “Show Me a denarius. Whose image and inscription are on it?” “Caesar’s,” they answered.
25 UDB ସେଥିରେ ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, "ତେବେ ଯାହା କାଇସରଙ୍କର, ତାହା କାଇସରଙ୍କୁ ଦିଅ; ପୁଣି, ଯାହା ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କର, ତାହା ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କୁ ଦିଅ I" BSB BSB: So Jesus told them, “Give to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s.”
26 UDB ଏଥିରେ ଗୁପ୍ତଚରମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଉତ୍ତରରେ ଆଶ୍ଚର୍ଯ୍ୟ ହୋଇ ନୀରବ ରହିଲେ I ସେମାନେ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ସାକ୍ଷାତରେ ତାହାଙ୍କ କଥାର ଭୁଲ୍ ଧରି ପାରିଲେ ନାହିଁ I BSB BSB: And they were unable to trap Him in His words before the people. And amazed at His answer, they fell silent.
27 UDB ଏହାପରେ ପୁନରୁତ୍ଥାନକୁ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରୁ ନ ଥିବା କେତେକ ସାଦ୍ଦୂକୀ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସିଲେ I BSB BSB: Then some of the Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection, came to question Him.
28 UDB ସେମାନେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ଗୋଟିଏ ପ୍ରଶ୍ନ ପଚାରିବାକୁ ଇଛା କଲେ I ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଜଣେ ପଚାରିଲେ, "ହେ ଗୁରୁ, ଯିହୁଦୀ ଯେ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମୋଶା ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଲେଖିଅଛନ୍ତି ଯେ, ଯଦି କୌଣସି ଲୋକର ଭାଇ, ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଥାଉ ଥାଉ ନିଃସନ୍ତାନ ହୋଇ ମରେ, ତାହାହେଲେ ତାହାର ଭାଇ ତାହାର ସ୍ତ୍ରୀକୁ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରି ଆପଣା ଭାଇ ନିମନ୍ତେ ବଂଶ ଉତ୍ପନ୍ନ କରିବ I BSB BSB: “Teacher,” they said, “Moses wrote for us that if a man’s brother dies and leaves a wife but no children, the man is to marry his brother’s widow and raise up offspring for him.
29 UDB ଆଚ୍ଛା, ଗୋଟିଏ ପରିବାରରେ ସାତ ଜଣ ଭାଇ ଥିଲେ; ପ୍ରଥମଟି ଗୋଟିଏ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀକୁ ବିବାହ କଲା, କିନ୍ତୁ ସେ ନିଃସନ୍ତାନ ହେଲା I ପରେ ସେ ମଲା, ସେହି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀକୁ ବିଧବା କରି ଛାଡିଗଲା I BSB BSB: Now there were seven brothers. The first one married a wife but died childless.
30 UDB ପରେ ଦ୍ୱିତୀୟଟି ସେହି ନିୟମ ପାଳନ କରି ସେହି ବିଧବାକୁ ବିବାହ କଲା, କିନ୍ତୁ ସେହି ସମାନ ଘଟଣା ତାହା ସହିତ ଘଟିଲା I BSB BSB: Then the second
31 UDB ପରେ ସେହି ତୃତୀୟ ଭାଇ ତାହାକୁ ବିବାହ କଲା, କିନ୍ତୁ ପୁନର୍ବାର ସେହି ସମାନ ଘଟଣା ଘଟିଲା I ସେହି ପ୍ରକାର ସାତ ଭାଇ, ଜଣେ ପରେ ଜଣେ ସେହି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀକୁ ବିବାହ କଲେ, କିନ୍ତୁ ସେମାନେ ସମସ୍ତେ ନିଃସନ୍ତାନ ହୋଇ ଜଣେ ପରେ ଜଣେ ମଲେ I BSB BSB: and the third married the widow, and in the same way all seven died, leaving no children.
32 UDB ଶେଷରେ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀଟି ମଧ୍ୟ ମଲା I BSB BSB: And last of all, the woman died.
33 UDB ତେଣୁ, ମୃତମାନେ ଦିନେ ପୁନରୁତ୍ଥିତ ହେବେ ଏହା ଯଦି ସତ୍ୟ ଅଟେ, ତେବେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ସେ କାହାର ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ହେବ? ସାତ ଜଣଯାକ ତ ତାହାକୁ ବିବାହ କରିଥିଲେ!" BSB BSB: So then, in the resurrection, whose wife will she be? For all seven were married to her.”
34 UDB ଯୀଶୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ଏହି ଜଗତର ସନ୍ତାନମାନେ ବିବାହ କରନ୍ତି ଓ ଲୋକମାନେ ଆପଣା କନ୍ୟାକୁ ବିବାହ ଦିଅନ୍ତି I BSB BSB: Jesus answered, “The sons of this age marry and are given in marriage.
35 UDB କିନ୍ତୁ ଯେଉଁମାନଙ୍କୁ ଈଶ୍ୱର ସେହି ଜଗତ ଓ ମୃତମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ପୁନରୁତ୍ଥାନ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହେବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଯୋଗ୍ୟ ଗଣିତ କରନ୍ତି, ସେମାନେ ବିବାହ କରନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ I BSB BSB: But those who are considered worthy to share in the age to come and in the resurrection from the dead will neither marry nor be given in marriage.
36 UDB ପୁଣି, ସେମାନେ ଆଉ ମରି ପାରନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ, କାରଣ ସେମାନେ ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଦୂତମାନଙ୍କ ପରି ଅଟନ୍ତି ଯେଉଁମାନେ ଅନନ୍ତକାଳ ଜୀବିତ ରୁହନ୍ତି I ସେମାନେ ପୁନରୁତ୍ଥାନର ସନ୍ତାନ ହେବାରୁ ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ସନ୍ତାନ ଅଟନ୍ତି I BSB BSB: In fact, they can no longer die, because they are like the angels. And since they are sons of the resurrection, they are sons of God.
37 UDB ମାତ୍ର ମୃତମାନେ ଯେ ଉଠିବେ, ଏହା ମୋଶା ମଧ୍ୟ ବୁଦାର ଘଟଣାରେ ଲେଖିଛନ୍ତି I ସେହିଠାରେ ସେ ଲେଖନ୍ତି, ସେ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ,' ଅବ୍ରହାମଙ୍କ ଈଶ୍ୱର, ଇସ୍ହାକଙ୍କ ଈଶ୍ୱର ଓ ଯାକୁବଙ୍କ ଈଶ୍ୱର' ବୋଲି କହି ସୂଚନା ଦେଇଅଛନ୍ତି I ମୋଶା ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦର୍ଶାନ୍ତି ଯେ ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ନେତାମାନେ, ସେମାନେ ମଲେ, ତଥାପି ଏପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ସେମାନେ ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଉପାସନା ଓ ଗୌରବ କରନ୍ତି, କାରଣ ସେମାନେ ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ଏପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଜୀବିତ ଅଟନ୍ତି I ଏହିସବୁ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଏହା ପ୍ରମାଣିତ ହୁଏ ଯେ ମୃତମାନଙ୍କୁ ପୁନର୍ବାର ଜୀବିତ କରନ୍ତି I BSB BSB: Even Moses demonstrates that the dead are raised, in the passage about the burning bush. For he calls the Lord ‘the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.’
38 UDB ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ସେ ଜୀବିତମାନଙ୍କର ଈଶ୍ୱର ଅଟନ୍ତି I ସେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପରି ମୃତମାନଙ୍କର ଈଶ୍ୱର ନୁହଁନ୍ତି! କିନ୍ତୁ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଜୀବନ ପାଇଛୁ ଯେପରି ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ସହିତ ରହି ପାରିବା, ଆଉ ଯେବେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଅଛୁ, ତେବେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଗୌରବ ଦେଇ ପାରିବା!" BSB BSB: He is not the God of the dead, but of the living, for to Him all are alive.”
39 UDB ସେଥିରେ ଶାସ୍ତ୍ରୀମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ କେତେ ଜଣ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, "ହେ ଗୁରୁ, ଆପଣ ଠିକ୍ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ!" BSB BSB: Some of the scribes answered, “Teacher, You have spoken well!”
40 UDB ତା'ପରେ ସେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କୌଶଳରେ ଧରିବା ପରି କୌଣସି ପ୍ରଶ୍ନ ପଚାରିବାକୁ ଆଉ ସାହସ କଲେ ନାହିଁ I BSB BSB: And they did not dare to question Him any further.
41 UDB ପରେ ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, "ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହୁଅଛି ଯେ, ଯେବେ ଲୋକେ କହନ୍ତି ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କ ସନ୍ତାନ, ସେମାନେ ଭୁଲ୍ ଅଟନ୍ତି! BSB BSB: Then Jesus declared, “How can it be said that the Christ is the Son of David?
42 UDB କାରଣ ଦାଉଦ ନିଜେ ଗୀତସଂହିତାରେ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କ ବିଷୟରେ କହନ୍ତି, ଈଶ୍ୱର ମୋହର ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ (ଯୀଶୁ) କହିଲେ, ଏଠାରେ ମୋହର ଦକ୍ଷିଣରେ ବସ, ଯେଉଁଠାରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ମହାନ ଗୌରବ ଦେବୁ I BSB BSB: For David himself says in the book of Psalms: ‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand
43 UDB 'ଆମ୍ଭେ ଯେପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଶତ୍ରୁମାନଙ୍କୁ ତୁମ୍ଭର ପାଦପୀଠ କରି ନାହୁଁ, ସେପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଏଠାରେ ବସିଥାଅ। BSB BSB: until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet.”’
44 UDB ଅତଏବ ଦାଉଦ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କୁ(ଯୀଶୁ) 'ମୋ' ପ୍ରଭୁ' ବୋଲି କହନ୍ତି! ତେବେ ଯୀଶୁ ଦାଉଦର ସନ୍ତାନ ହୋଇ ପାରନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ! ଯାହା ମୁଁ କହିଲି ତାହା ପ୍ରମାଣ ଦିଏ ଯେ ସେ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କଠାରୁ ମହାନ ଅଟନ୍ତି, ଏହା କି ସତ୍ୟ ନୁହେଁ?" BSB BSB: Thus David calls Him ‘Lord.’ So how can He be David’s son?”
45 UDB ପରେ ସେ ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ଆଗରେ ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, BSB BSB: In the hearing of all the people, Jesus said to His disciples,
46 UDB ସାବଧାନ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଶାସ୍ତ୍ରୀମାନଙ୍କ ପରି ଆଚରଣ କର ନାହିଁ I ସେମାନେ ଲମ୍ବା ପୋଷାକ ପିନ୍ଧି ବୁଲିବାକୁ ଓ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ଆପଣାକୁ ପ୍ରଧାନ ବୋଲି ଦେଖାଇବାକୁ ଇଛା କରନ୍ତି I ପୁଣି, ହାଟବଜାରରେ ଆଦରର ସହିତ ନମସ୍କାର ପାଇବାକୁ ଇଛା କରନ୍ତି I ସମାଜଗୃହରେ ପ୍ରଧାନ ଆସନରେ ବସିବାକୁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କରନ୍ତି I ଭୋଜିରେ ପ୍ରଧାନ ସ୍ଥାନ ପାଇବାକୁ ଭଲ ପାଆନ୍ତି I BSB BSB: “Beware of the scribes. They like to walk around in long robes, and they love the greetings in the marketplaces, the chief seats in the synagogues, and the places of honor at banquets.
47 UDB ସେମାନେ ବିଧବାମାନଙ୍କ ଗୃହ ସବୁ ଗ୍ରାସ କରନ୍ତି I ସର୍ବସାଧାରଣରେ ଛଳନାରେ ବହୁତ ସମୟ ଧରି ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କରନ୍ତି I ଈଶ୍ୱର ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଗୁରୁତର ଦଣ୍ଡ ଦେବେ I BSB BSB: They defraud widows of their houses, and for a show make lengthy prayers. These men will receive greater condemnation.”
