1 UDB ଯୀଶୁ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ କଥା କହିବା ଶେଷ କଲା ପରେ, ସେ କଫର୍ନାହୂମ ସହରକୁ ଗଲେ I BSB BSB: When Jesus had concluded His discourse in the hearing of the people, He went to Capernaum.
2 UDB ସେହି ସହରରେ ରୋମୀୟ ସୈନ୍ୟଦଳର ଶତସେନାପତିଙ୍କର ଜଣେ ଦାସ ଥିଲେ ଯିଏ ତାହାଙ୍କର ପ୍ରିୟପାତ୍ର ଥିଲେ I ଏହି ଦାସ ଅସୁସ୍ଥ ହୋଇ ମଲା ଭଳି ହୋଇଥିଲା I BSB BSB: There a highly valued servant of a centurion was sick and about to die.
3 UDB ଯେତେବେଳେ ସେହି ଶତସେନାପତି ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ବିଷୟରେ ଶୁଣିଲେ, ସେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ଯିହୂଦୀମାନଙ୍କର କେତେକ ପ୍ରାଚୀନଙ୍କୁ ପଠାଇ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଅନୁରୋଧ କଲେ ଯେ ସେ ଯେପରି ଆସି ତାଙ୍କ ଦାସକୁ ସୁସ୍ଥ କରନ୍ତି I BSB BSB: When the centurion heard about Jesus, he sent some Jewish elders to ask Him to come and heal his servant.
4 UDB ଯେତେବେଳେ ସେମାନେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସିଲେ, ସେମାନେ ଶତସେନାପତିଙ୍କର ଦାସକୁ ସାହାଯ୍ୟ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ବିଶେଷ ବିନତି କଲେ I ସେମାନେ କହିଲେ, "ଆପଣ ଯେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଏହା କରିବେ, ସେ ସେଥିର ଯୋଗ୍ୟ ଅଟନ୍ତି, BSB BSB: They came to Jesus and pleaded with Him earnestly, “This man is worthy to have You grant this,
6 UDB ସେଥିରେ ଯୀଶୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଉଚ୍ଚ ପଦାଧିକାରୀଙ୍କ ଗୃହକୁ ଗଲେ I ସେ ଘରର ଅଳ୍ପ ଦୂରରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହୁଅନ୍ତେ, ଶତସେନାପତି ବନ୍ଧୁମାନଙ୍କୁ ପଠାଇ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ପ୍ରଭୁ, କଷ୍ଟ କରନ୍ତୁ ନାହିଁ; କାରଣ ଆପଣ ଯେ ମୋ ଘରେ ଆସିବେ, ମୁଁ ଏପରି ଯୋଗ୍ୟ ନୁହେଁ I BSB BSB: So Jesus went with them. But when He was not far from the house, the centurion sent friends with the message: “Lord, do not trouble Yourself, for I am not worthy to have You come under my roof.
7 UDB ଏଣୁ ମୁଁ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଯିବାକୁ ନିଜକୁ ଯୋଗ୍ୟ ବିଚାର କଲି ନାହିଁ; କିନ୍ତୁ ପଦେ ଆଜ୍ଞା କରନ୍ତୁ, ମୋହର ଦାସ ସୁସ୍ଥ ହେବ I BSB BSB: That is why I did not consider myself worthy to come to You. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed.
8 UDB ମୁଁ ଜାଣେ ଯେ ଆପଣ ଏହା କରି ପାରିବେ କାରଣ ମୁଁ ଜଣେ ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ଓ ମୋ'ଠାରୁ ଉଚ୍ଚ ପଦାଧିକାରୀଙ୍କ ଆଜ୍ଞା ପାଳନ କରେ, ଆଉ ମଧ୍ୟ ମୋହର ଅଧୀନରେ ସୈନ୍ୟମାନେ ଅଛନ୍ତି; ଆଉ, ମୁଁ ଜଣକୁ ଯାଅ କହିଲେ ସେ ଯାଏ; ଅନ୍ୟକୁ ଆସ କହିଲେ ସେ ଆସେ; ପୁଣି, ମୋହର ଦାସକୁ ଏହା କର କହିଲେ ସେ ତାହା କରେ I" BSB BSB: For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell one to go, and he goes, and another to come, and he comes. I tell my servant to do something, and he does it.”
9 UDB ଯୀଶୁ ଏସମସ୍ତ କଥା ଯାହା ଶତସେନାପତି କହିଲେ ତାହା ଶୁଣି ତାହାଙ୍କ ବିଷୟରେ ଚକିତ ହେଲେ I ଆଉ ସେ ବୁଲିପଡ଼ି ତାହାଙ୍କ ପଛରେ ଆସୁଥିବା ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, "ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହୁଅଛି, ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଏହି ବିଜାତି ସଦୃଶ ଏଡ଼େ ବଡ଼ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ପାଇ ନାହିଁ!" BSB BSB: When Jesus heard this, He marveled at the centurion. Turning to the crowd following Him, He said, “I tell you, not even in Israel have I found such great faith.”
10 UDB ଯେତେବେଳେ ଶତସେନାପତିଙ୍କଠାରୁ ପଠାଯାଇଥିବା ଲୋକମାନେ ଘରକୁ ଫେରିଲେ, ସେମାନେ ଦାସକୁ ସୁସ୍ଥ ଦେଖିଲେ I BSB BSB: And when the messengers returned to the house, they found the servant in good health.
11 UDB ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ଯୀଶୁ ନାଇନ ନାମକ ନଗରକୁ ଯାତ୍ରା କଲେ I ଆଉ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନେ ଓ ବହୁସଂଖ୍ୟକ ଲୋକ ତାହାଙ୍କ ସାଙ୍ଗରେ ଗଲେ I BSB BSB: Soon afterward, Jesus went to a town called Nain. His disciples went with Him, accompanied by a large crowd.
12 UDB ଯୀଶୁ ନଗରଦ୍ୱାର ନିକଟରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହୁଅନ୍ତେ, ସେ ଏକ ବଡ଼ ଲୋକଦଳ ଜଣେ ମୃତ ମନୁଷ୍ୟକୁ ବୋହି ନଗରରୁ ବାହାରକୁ ଆସୁଥିବା ଦେଖିଲେ I ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ତାହାର ମାତା ବିଧବା, ଆଉ ସେ ଆପଣା ମାତାର ଏକମାତ୍ର ପୁତ୍ର I ସେ ଲୋକସମୂହ ସହ ଥିଲେ ଓ ସେମାନେ ତାହାର ପୁତ୍ରକୁ କବର ଦେବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଯାଉଥିଲେ I BSB BSB: As He approached the town gate, He saw a dead man being carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow. And a large crowd from the town was with her.
13 UDB ଯେତେବେଳେ ପ୍ରଭୁ ତାହାକୁ ଦେଖିଲେ, ସେ ତାହା ପ୍ରତି ଦୟାରେ ବିଗଳିତ ହୋଇ ତାହାକୁ କହିଲେ, "ରୋଦନ କର ନାହିଁ!" BSB BSB: When the Lord saw her, He had compassion on her and said, “Do not weep.”
14 UDB ପରେ ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଗଲେ ଆଉ ଯେଉଁଠାରେ ସେହି ମୃତ ଦେହ ଥିଲା ସେହି ଖଟିଆକୁ ଛୁଇଁଲେ I ପୁଣି, ବୋହି ନେଉଥିବା ଲୋକମାନେ ଠିଆ ହୁଅନ୍ତେ ସେ କହିଲେ, "ଯୁବକ, ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ କହୁଅଛି, ଉଠ!" BSB BSB: Then He went up and touched the coffin, and those carrying it stood still. “Young man,” He said, “I tell you, get up!”
15 UDB ସେଥିରେ ମୃତ ଯୁବକଟି ଉଠି ବସିଲା ଆଉ କଥା କହିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲା! ପୁଣି, ଯୀଶୁ ତାହାକୁ ତାହାର ମାତାର ହସ୍ତରେ ସମର୍ପଣ କଲେ I BSB BSB: And the dead man sat up and began to speak! Then Jesus gave him back to his mother.
16 UDB ସେଠାରେ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଭୟ ଖେଳିଗଲା ଆଉ ସେମାନେ ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ପ୍ରଶଂସା କରୁ କରୁ କହିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ, "ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଜଣେ ମହାନ ଭାବବାଦୀ ଉତ୍ଥିତ ହୋଇଅଛନ୍ତି" ଏବଂ "ଈଶ୍ୱର ଆପଣା ଲୋକଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି କୃପାଦୃଷ୍ଟି କରିଅଛନ୍ତି!" BSB BSB: A sense of awe swept over all of them, and they glorified God. “A great prophet has appeared among us!” they said. “God has visited His people!”
17 UDB ପୁଣି, ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ବିଷୟରେ ଏହି ସମ୍ବାଦ ସମସ୍ତ ଯିହୁଦା ଦେଶ ଓ ଚାରିପାଖର ସମସ୍ତ ଅଞ୍ଚଳରେ ବ୍ୟାପିଗଲା I BSB BSB: And the news about Jesus spread throughout Judea and all the surrounding region.
18 UDB ପରେ ବାପ୍ତିଜକ ଯୋହନଙ୍କ ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନେ ଏହି ସମସ୍ତ ବିଷୟ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଜଣାଇଲେ I BSB BSB: Then John’s disciples informed him about all these things.
19 UDB ସେଥିରେ ଯୋହନ ଆପଣା ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଦୁଇ ଜଣଙ୍କୁ ପାଖକୁ ଡାକି ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଯାଇ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଏହା ପଚାର: "ଆପଣ କଅଣ ସେହି ବ୍ୟକ୍ତି ଯାହାଙ୍କର ଆଗମନ ହେବା ବିଷୟରେ ଈଶ୍ୱର ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞା କରିଅଛନ୍ତି, ନା ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଅନ୍ୟ ଜଣଙ୍କ ଅପେକ୍ଷାରେ ରହିବୁ?" BSB BSB: So John called two of his disciples and sent them to ask the Lord, “Are You the One who was to come, or should we look for someone else?”
20 UDB ଯେତେବେଳେ ସେହି ଦୁଇ ଜଣ ଲୋକ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସି କହିଲେ, "ବାପ୍ତିଜକ ଯୋହନ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଏହା କହି ପଠାଇଅଛନ୍ତି, ଯାହାଙ୍କର ଆଗମନ ହେବା ବିଷୟରେ ଈଶ୍ୱର ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞା କରିଅଛନ୍ତି, ସେହି ବ୍ୟକ୍ତି କି ଆପଣ, ଅବା ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଅନ୍ୟ ଜଣଙ୍କ ଅପେକ୍ଷାରେ ରହିବୁ? BSB BSB: When the men came to Jesus, they said, “John the Baptist sent us to ask, ‘Are You the One who was to come, or should we look for someone else?’”
21 UDB ସେହି ସମୟରେ ଯୀଶୁ ଅନେକଙ୍କୁ ରୋଗ, କଷ୍ଟ ଓ ମନ୍ଦଆତ୍ମାମାନଙ୍କଠାରୁ ସୁସ୍ଥ କଲେ, ପୁଣି, ଅନେକ ଅନ୍ଧଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖିବାର ଶକ୍ତି ଦେଲେ I BSB BSB: At that very hour Jesus healed many people of their diseases, afflictions, and evil spirits, and He gave sight to many who were blind.
22 UDB ଆଉ ସେ ସେହି ଦୁଇ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତିଙ୍କୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, "ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯାଇ, ଯାହା ଯାହା ଦେଖିଅଛ ଓ ଶୁଣିଅଛ, ସେହି ସବୁ ଯୋହନଙ୍କୁ ଜଣାଅ: ଅନ୍ଧମାନେ ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ଦେଖି ପାରନ୍ତି, ଖଞ୍ଜମାନେ ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ଚାଲି ପାରନ୍ତି, କୁଷ୍ଠୀମାନେ ସୁସ୍ଥ ହୁଅନ୍ତି, ବଧିରମାନେ ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ଶୁଣି ପାରନ୍ତି, ମୃତମାନେ ପୁନର୍ବାର ଜୀବିତ ହୁଅନ୍ତି, ଦରିଦ୍ରମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ସୁସମାଚାର ପ୍ରଚାରିତ ହୁଏ I BSB BSB: So He replied, “Go back and report to John what you have seen and heard: The blind receive sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is preached to the poor.
23 UDB ଆଉ ମଧ୍ୟ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କୁହ, ଯେଉଁ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତି ମୁଁ ଯାହା କରେ ତାହା ଦେଖେ ଓ ମୁଁ ଯାହା ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦିଏ ତାହା ଶୁଣେ ଓ ମୋ'ଠାରୁ ବିମୁଖ ହୁଏ ନାହିଁ ଈଶ୍ୱର ତାହାକୁ ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦ କରିବେ I" BSB BSB: Blessed is the one who does not fall away on account of Me.”
24 UDB ଯୋହନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରେରିତ ଲୋକମାନେ ଯିବା ପରେ ଯୀଶୁ ଯୋହନଙ୍କ ବିଷୟରେ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ I ସେ କହିଲେ," ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କଅଣ ଦେଖିବା ପାଇଁ ମରୁଭୂମିକୁ ବାହାରି ଯାଇଥିଲ? କଅଣ ପବନରେ ଦୋହଲୁଥିବା ଗୋଟିଏ ନଳ? BSB BSB: After John’s messengers had left, Jesus began to speak to the crowds about John: “What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed swaying in the wind?
25 UDB ତାହା ନ ହେଲେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କଅଣ ଦେଖିବା ପାଇଁ ବାହାରି ଯାଇଥିଲ? କଅଣ ଦାମୀ ପୋଷାକ ପିନ୍ଧିଥିବା ଜଣେ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତିଙ୍କୁ? ଦେଖ, ଯେଉଁମାନେ ସୁନ୍ଦର ପୋଷାକ ପିନ୍ଧନ୍ତି ଏବଂ ସୁଖରେ ସମୟ କଟାନ୍ତି, ସେମାନେ ରାଜପ୍ରାସାଦରେ ଥାଆନ୍ତି I BSB BSB: Otherwise, what did you go out to see? A man dressed in fine clothes? Look, those who wear elegant clothing and live in luxury are found in palaces.
26 UDB ତାହା ନ ହେଲେ କଅଣ ଦେଖିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ବାହାରି ଯାଇଥିଲ? କଅଣ ଜଣେ ଭାବବାଦୀଙ୍କୁ? ହଁ, କିନ୍ତୁ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ସତ୍ୟ କହୁଅଛି, ଯୋହନ ସାଧାରଣ ଭାବବାଦୀ ଅପେକ୍ଷା ଅଧିକ ଶ୍ରେଷ୍ଠ ଭାବବାଦୀ ଅଟନ୍ତି I BSB BSB: What then did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I tell you, and more than a prophet.
27 UDB ଯାହାଙ୍କ ବିଷୟରେ ବହୁ ପୂର୍ବରୁ ଜଣେ ଭାବବାଦୀ ଲେଖନ୍ତି: "ଦେଖ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ଦୂତକୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଆଗରେ ପଠାଉଅଛୁ, ସେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ପଥ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ କରିବ I" BSB BSB: This is the one about whom it is written: ‘Behold, I will send My messenger ahead of You, who will prepare Your way before You.’
28 UDB ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହୁଅଛି, ସ୍ତ୍ରୀଗର୍ଭରୁ ଜନ୍ମ ହୋଇଥିବା ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଯୋହନଙ୍କଠାରୁ ମହାନ କେହି ନାହାନ୍ତି; ତଥାପି ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ରାଜ୍ୟରେ ଯେ କ୍ଷୁଦ୍ରତମ, ସେ ଯୋହନଙ୍କଠାରୁ ମହାନ I BSB BSB: I tell you, among those born of women there is no one greater than John, yet even the least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.”
29 UDB ଯୀଶୁ ଯାହା କହିଲେ ତାହା ଶୁଣି ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକ, ଏପରିକି କରଗ୍ରାହୀମାନେ ସୁଦ୍ଧା ଯୋହନଙ୍କ ବାପ୍ତିସ୍ମରେ ବାପ୍ତିଜିତ ହୋଇଥିବାରୁ ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କୁ ଯଥାର୍ଥ ବୋଲି ସ୍ୱୀକାର କଲେ I BSB BSB: All the people who heard this, even the tax collectors, acknowledged God’s justice. For they had received the baptism of John.
30 UDB କିନ୍ତୁ ଫାରୂଶୀମାନେ ଓ ମୋଶାଙ୍କ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା ଶାସ୍ତ୍ରଜ୍ଞମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ବାପ୍ତିଜିତ ନ ହୋଇ ନିଜ ନିଜ ବିଷୟରେ ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଯୋଜନା ଅଗ୍ରାହ୍ୟ କଲେ I BSB BSB: But the Pharisees and experts in the law rejected God’s purpose for themselves, because they had not been baptized by John.
31 UDB ପୁଣି ଯୀଶୁ ଆହୁରି ମଧ୍ୟ କହିଲେ, ତେବେ ମୁଁ କାହା ସାଙ୍ଗରେ ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ପୁରୁଷର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ତୁଳନା କରିବି, ପୁଣି, ସେମାନେ କାହାରି ତୁଲ୍ୟ? BSB BSB: “To what, then, can I compare the men of this generation? What are they like?
32 UDB ଯେଉଁ ପିଲାମାନେ ହାଟବଜାରରେ ବସି ପରସ୍ପରକୁ ଡାକି କହନ୍ତି, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ବଂଶୀ ବଜାଇଲୁ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ନାଚିଲ ନାହିଁ; ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ବିଳାପ କଲୁ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କାନ୍ଦିଲ ନାହିଁ, ସେମାନେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପରି I BSB BSB: They are like children sitting in the marketplace and calling out to one another: ‘We played the flute for you, and you did not dance; we sang a dirge, and you did not weep.’
33 UDB କାରଣ ବାପ୍ତିଜକ ଯୋହନ ଆସି ସାଧାରଣ ଖାଦ୍ୟ ଖାଇଲେ ଓ ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାରସ ପିଇଲେ ନାହିଁ, ଆଉ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଅଗ୍ରାହ୍ୟ କଲ ଓ କହୁଅଛ, 'ସେ ଭୂତଗ୍ରସ୍ତ!' BSB BSB: For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine, and you say, ‘He has a demon!’
34 UDB କିନ୍ତୁ ଯେତେବେଳେ ମନୁଷ୍ୟପୁତ୍ର ଆସି ସାଧାରଣ ଖାଦ୍ୟ ଖାଇଲେ ନାହିଁ ଓ ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାରସ ପିଇଲେ ଯେପରି ଅନ୍ୟମାନେ କରନ୍ତି, ଆଉ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଅଗ୍ରାହ୍ୟ କଲ ଓ କହୁଅଛ, 'ଦେଖ, ଏ ଜଣେ ପେଟୁକ ଓ ମଦୁଆ, କରଗ୍ରାହୀ ଓ ପାପୀମାନଙ୍କର ବନ୍ଧୁ!' BSB BSB: The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and you say, ‘Look at this glutton and drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’
35 UDB ମାତ୍ର ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଜ୍ଞାନ ଆପଣା ସମସ୍ତ ଅନୁସରଣକାରୀଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଉଚିତ୍ ବୋଲି ପ୍ରମାଣିତ ହେଲା I BSB BSB: But wisdom is vindicated by all her children.”
36 UDB ଆଉ ଫାରୂଶୀମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଶିମୋନ ନାମକ ଜଣେ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତି ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ଆପଣା ସହିତ ଭୋଜନ କରିବାକୁ ନିମନ୍ତ୍ରଣ କଲେ I ସେଥିରେ ଯୀଶୁ ଫାରୂଶୀଙ୍କ ଗୃହରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରି ଭୋଜନ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ମେଜରେ ବସିଲେ I BSB BSB: Then one of the Pharisees invited Jesus to eat with him, and He entered the Pharisee’s house and reclined at the table.
37 UDB ଆଉ ଦେଖ, ସେହି ନଗରରେ ଜଣେ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଥିଲା ଯାହାକୁ ସମସ୍ତେ ଜଣେ ବ୍ୟଭିଚାରିଣୀ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ବୋଲି ଜାଣିଥିଲେ; ଯୀଶୁ ସେହି ଫାରୂଶୀଙ୍କ ଗୃହରେ ଭୋଜନରେ ବସିଅଛନ୍ତି, ଏହା ଜାଣି ପାରି ସେ ଗୋଟିଏ ପାତ୍ରରେ ସୁଗନ୍ଧି ତୈଳ ଆଣିଲା I BSB BSB: When a sinful woman from that town learned that Jesus was dining there, she brought an alabaster jar of perfume.
38 UDB ଆଉ ଯେତେବେଳେ ଯୀଶୁ ଭୋଜନରେ ବସିଥିଲେ, ସେହି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ପଛଆଡ଼େ ତାହାଙ୍କ ପାଦ ପାଖରେ ଠିଆ ହୋଇଥିଲା I ସେ ରୋଦନ କରୁଥିଲା, ଆଉ ତାହାର ଲୁହ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ପାଦ ଉପରେ ପଡୁଥିଲା I ସେ ଅବିରତ ତାହାଙ୍କ ପାଦ ନିଜ ମସ୍ତକର କେଶରେ ପୋଛିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲା, ଆଉ ତାହାଙ୍କ ପାଦକୁ ଚୁମ୍ବନ କରୁ କରୁ ସେହି ସୁଗନ୍ଧିତ ତୈଳ ଲଗାଇ ଦେବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲା I BSB BSB: As she stood behind Him at His feet weeping, she began to wet His feet with her tears and wipe them with her hair. Then she kissed His feet and anointed them with the perfume.

40 UDB ଯୀଶୁ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, "ଶିମୋନ, ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ମୋହର କିଛି କହିବାର ଅଛି I" ସେ କହିଲେ, "ଗୁରୁ, କୁହନ୍ତୁ I" BSB BSB: But Jesus answered him, “Simon, I have something to tell you.” “Tell me, Teacher,” he said.
41 UDB ଯୀଶୁ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଗୋଟିଏ ଦୃଷ୍ଟାନ୍ତ କହିଲେ: "ଜଣେ ମହାଜନଙ୍କର ଦୁଇ ଜଣ ଋଣୀ ଥିଲେ I ଜଣେ ପାଞ୍ଚଶହ ରୌପ୍ୟ ମୁଦ୍ରା, ଓ ଆଉ ଜଣେ ପଚାଶ ରୌପ୍ୟ ମୁଦ୍ରା ଋଣ କରିଥିଲା I BSB BSB: “Two men were debtors to a certain moneylender. One owed him five hundred denarii, and the other fifty.
42 UDB ଋଣ ଶୁଝିବାକୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କର କିଛି ନ ଥିବାରୁ ସେ ଉଭୟଙ୍କର ଋଣ କ୍ଷମା କଲେ I ଏଣୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ କିଏ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଅଧିକ ପ୍ରେମ କରିବ? BSB BSB: When they were unable to repay him, he forgave both of them. Which one, then, will love him more?”
43 UDB ଶିମୋନ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, "ମୁଁ ଜାଣିବାରେ, ସେ ଯାହାର ଅଧିକ ଋଣ କ୍ଷମା କଲେ, ସେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଅଧିକ ପ୍ରେମ କରିବ I" ଯୀଶୁ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, "ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଠିକ୍ ବିଚାର କଲ I" BSB BSB: “I suppose the one who was forgiven more,” Simon replied. “You have judged correctly,” Jesus said.
44 UDB ଆଉ, ସେ ସେହି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ପ୍ରତି ମୁଖ ଫେରାଇ ଶିମୋନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ଏହି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଯାହା କରିଅଛି ତାହା ବିଷୟରେ ବିବେଚନା କର! ଯେତେବେଳେ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଗୃହରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କଲି, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମୋ ପ୍ରତି ତାହା କଲ ନାହିଁ ଯାହା ସାଧାରଣତଃ ଆପଣା ଅତିଥିମାନଙ୍କୁ ନିମନ୍ତ୍ରଣକାରୀମାନେ କରନ୍ତି I ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମୋ ପାଦ ଧୋଇବା ପାଇଁ ପାଣି ଦେଲ ନାହିଁ, କିନ୍ତୁ ଏହି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଆପଣା ଲୁହରେ ମୋର ପାଦ ଓଦା କରି ନିଜ କେଶରେ ତାହା ପୋଛିଦେଲା I BSB BSB: And turning toward the woman, He said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? When I entered your house, you did not give Me water for My feet, but she wet My feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair.
45 UDB ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମୋତେ ଚୁମ୍ବନ କଲ ନାହିଁ, କିନ୍ତୁ ମୁଁ ଭିତରକୁ ଆସିବା ସମୟଠାରୁ ଏ ମୋହର ପାଦ ଚୁମ୍ବନ କରିବାକୁ ବନ୍ଦ କରି ନାହିଁ! BSB BSB: You did not greet Me with a kiss, but she has not stopped kissing My feet since I arrived.
46 UDB ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମୋହର ମସ୍ତକରେ ଜୀତ ତେଲ ଲଗାଇଲ ନାହିଁ? କିନ୍ତୁ ଏ ମୋହର ପାଦରେ ସୁଗନ୍ଧିତ ତୈଳ ଲଗାଇଲା I BSB BSB: You did not anoint My head with oil, but she has anointed My feet with perfume.
47 UDB ଏଣୁ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ କହୁଅଛି, ଏହାର ଅନେକ ପାପ କ୍ଷମା ହୋଇଅଛି, ସେଥିପାଇଁ ସେ ବହୁତ ପ୍ରେମ କଲା I କିନ୍ତୁ ଯେଉଁ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତି ଆପଣର ଅଳ୍ପ ପାପ ଅଛି ବୋଲି ବିବେଚନା କରେ, ଓ କ୍ଷମା ଦିଆଯାଏ, ସେ ଅଳ୍ପ ପ୍ରେମ କରେ I BSB BSB: Therefore I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven, for she has loved much. But he who has been forgiven little loves little.”
48 UDB ଆଉ ସେ ସେହି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀକୁ କହିଲେ, "ତୋହର ପାପସବୁ କ୍ଷମା ହୋଇଅଛି I" BSB BSB: Then Jesus said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.”
49 UDB ସେଥିରେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ସାଙ୍ଗରେ ଭୋଜନରେ ବସିଥିବା ଲୋକମାନେ ମନେ ମନେ କହିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ, "ପାପ ସୁଦ୍ଧା କ୍ଷମା କରୁଅଛି ଯେ, ଏ କିଏ?" BSB BSB: But those at the table began to say to themselves, “Who is this who even forgives sins?”
50 UDB କିନ୍ତୁ ସେ ସେହି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀକୁ କହିଲେ, ଯେହେତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମୋତେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କଲ, ଈଶ୍ୱର ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ରକ୍ଷା କରିଅଛନ୍ତି I ଈଶ୍ୱର ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଶାନ୍ତିରେ ଯିବାକୁ ଦିଅନ୍ତୁ I BSB BSB: And Jesus told the woman, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace.”
