1 ULB ସେହି ସମୟରେ ପଲେଷ୍ଟୀୟମାନେ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କ ସୈନ୍ୟସାମନ୍ତ ସକଳ ଅଫେକରେ ଏକତ୍ର କଲେ ଓ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲୀୟମାନେ ଯିଷ୍ରିୟେଲସ୍ଥ ନିର୍ଝର ନିକଟରେ ଛାଉଣି ସ୍ଥାପନ କଲେ। BSB BSB: Now the Philistines brought all their forces together at Aphek, while Israel camped by the spring in Jezreel.
2 ULB ଏଥିରେ ପଲେଷ୍ଟୀୟମାନଙ୍କ ଅଧିପତିମାନେ ଶତ ଶତ ଓ ସହସ୍ର ସହସ୍ର ସୈନ୍ୟ ନେଇ କ୍ରମେ କ୍ରମେ ଅଗ୍ରସର ହେଲେ; ଆଉ ଦାଉଦ ଓ ତାଙ୍କର ଲୋକମାନେ ଆଖୀଶ୍ ସହିତ ପଛେ ପଛେ ଅଗ୍ରସର ହେଲେ। BSB BSB: As the Philistine leaders marched out with their units of hundreds and thousands, David and his men marched behind them with Achish.
3 ULB ତହିଁରେ ପଲେଷ୍ଟୀୟ ଅଧିପତିମାନେ କହିଲେ, ଏହି ଏବ୍ରୀୟମାନେ ଏଠାରେ କଅଣ କରୁଅଛନ୍ତି? ତହୁଁ ଆଖୀଶ୍ ପଲେଷ୍ଟୀୟ ଅଧିପତିମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ଏ କ’ଣ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ରାଜା ଶାଉଲଙ୍କର ଦାସ ଦାଉଦ ନୁହେଁ? ସେ ଏତେ ଦିନ ଓ ଏତେ ବର୍ଷ ହେଲା ମୋ’ ସଙ୍ଗରେ ଅଛି ଓ ମୋହର ପକ୍ଷ ହେବା ଦିନଠାରୁ ଆଜି ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ମୁଁ ତାହାଠାରେ କୌଣସି ଦୋଷ ପାଇ ନାହିଁ। BSB BSB: Then the commanders of the Philistines asked, “What about these Hebrews?” Achish replied, “Is this not David, the servant of King Saul of Israel? He has been with me all these days, even years, and from the day he defected until today I have found no fault in him.”
4 ULB ମାତ୍ର ପଲେଷ୍ଟୀୟ ଅଧିପତିମାନେ ତାହା ଉପରେ କ୍ରୁଦ୍ଧ ହେଲେ ଓ ପଲେଷ୍ଟୀୟ ଅଧିପତିମାନେ ତାହାକୁ କହିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସେ ଲୋକକୁ ଫେରାଇ ଦିଅ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାହା ପାଇଁ ଯେଉଁ ସ୍ଥାନ ନିରୂପଣ କରିଅଛ, ସେ ଆପଣାର ସେହି ସ୍ଥାନକୁ ଫେରିଯାଉ, ସେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସଙ୍ଗରେ ଯୁଦ୍ଧକୁ ଯିବ ନାହିଁ, କେଜାଣି ଯୁଦ୍ଧ ସମୟରେ ସେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ବିପକ୍ଷ ହୋଇ ପଡ଼ିବ; ଏଇଟା ଆଉ କାହିଁରେ ଆପଣା ପ୍ରଭୁକୁ ପ୍ରସନ୍ନ କରିବ? କି ଏହି ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ମସ୍ତକ ଦ୍ୱାରା ନୁହେଁ? BSB BSB: But the commanders of the Philistines were angry with Achish and told him, “Send that man back and let him return to the place you assigned him. He must not go down with us into battle only to become our adversary during the war. What better way for him to regain the favor of his master than with the heads of our men?
5 ULB ଏଇଟା କି ସେହି ଦାଉଦ ନୁହେଁ, ଯାହାର ବିଷୟ ଲୋକମାନେ ନୃତ୍ୟ କରୁ କରୁ ପରସ୍ପର ଗାନ କରି କହିଥିଲେ; ଶାଉଲ ବଧ କଲେ ସହସ୍ର ସହସ୍ର, ଦାଉଦ ବଧ କଲେ ଅୟୁତ ଅୟୁତ? BSB BSB: Is this not the David about whom they sing in their dances: ‘Saul has slain his thousands, and David his tens of thousands’?”
6 ULB ଏଥିରେ ଆଖୀଶ୍ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କୁ ଡାକି କହିଲା, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଜୀବିତ ଥିବା ପ୍ରମାଣେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସରଳ ଲୋକ ଓ ମୋ’ ସହିତ ସୈନ୍ୟସାମନ୍ତ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଗମନାଗମନ ମୋ’ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିରେ ଉତ୍ତମ; କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମୋ’ କତିକି ଆସିବା ଦିନଠାରୁ ଆଜି ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ତୁମ୍ଭଠାରେ କୌଣସି ମନ୍ଦତା ପାଇ ନାହିଁ; ତଥାପି ଅଧିପତିମାନଙ୍କ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଉତ୍ତମ ନୁହଁ। BSB BSB: So Achish summoned David and told him, “As surely as the LORD lives, you have been upright, and it seems right in my sight that you should march in and out with me in the army, because I have found no fault in you from the day you came to me until this day. But you are not good in the sight of the leaders.
7 ULB ଏଣୁ ଏବେ ଫେର ଓ କୁଶଳରେ ଯାଅ, ପଲେଷ୍ଟୀୟ ଅଧିପତିମାନଙ୍କ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିରେ ଯାହା ମନ୍ଦ, ତାହା ନ କର। BSB BSB: Therefore turn back now and go in peace, so that you will not do anything to displease the leaders of the Philistines.”
8 ULB ତହୁଁ ଦାଉଦ ଆଖୀଶ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ମାତ୍ର ମୁଁ କଅଣ କଲି? ଓ ମୁଁ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ଥିବା ଦିନାବଧି ଆଜି ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ଏହି ଦାସଠାରେ ଆପଣ କ’ଣ ପାଇଲେ ଯେ, ମୁଁ ଯାଇ ମୋ’ ପ୍ରଭୁ ରାଜାଙ୍କ ଶତ୍ରୁମାନଙ୍କ ବିପକ୍ଷରେ ଯୁଦ୍ଧ କରିବି ନାହିଁ? BSB BSB: “But what have I done?” David replied. “What have you found against your servant, from the day I came to you until today, to keep me from going along to fight against the enemies of my lord the king?”
9 ULB ଏଥିରେ ଆଖୀଶ୍ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଇ କହିଲା, ମୁଁ ଜାଣେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମୋ’ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିରେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଦୂତ ପରି ଉତ୍ତମ; ତଥାପି ପଲେଷ୍ଟୀୟ ଅଧିପତିମାନେ କହୁଅଛନ୍ତି, ସେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସଙ୍ଗରେ ଯୁଦ୍ଧକୁ ଯିବ ନାହିଁ। BSB BSB: Achish replied, “I know that you are as pleasing in my sight as an angel of God. But the commanders of the Philistines have said, ‘He must not go into battle with us.’
10 ULB ଏହେତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭ ସହିତ ଆଗତ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପ୍ରଭୁର ଦାସମାନେ ଅତି ପ୍ରଭାତରେ ଉଠ ଓ ଅତି ପ୍ରଭାତରେ ଉଠିଲାକ୍ଷଣି ଆଲୁଅ ହେଲେ ପ୍ରସ୍ଥାନ କର। BSB BSB: Now then, get up early in the morning, along with your master’s servants who came with you, and go as soon as it is light.”
11 ULB ତହିଁରେ ଦାଉଦ ଓ ତାଙ୍କର ଲୋକମାନେ ପ୍ରଭାତରେ ପ୍ରସ୍ଥାନ କରି ପଲେଷ୍ଟୀୟମାନଙ୍କ ଦେଶକୁ ଫେରି ଯିବା ପାଇଁ ଶୀଘ୍ର ଉଠିଲେ। ଆଉ ପଲେଷ୍ଟୀୟମାନେ ଯିଷ୍ରିୟେଲକୁ ଗମନ କଲେ। BSB BSB: So David and his men got up early in the morning to return to the land of the Philistines. And the Philistines went up to Jezreel.
