1 ULB ଯେତେ ଲୋକ ଦାସତ୍ୱରୂପ ଯୁଆଳିର ଅଧିନରେ ଅଛନ୍ତି, ସେମାନେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା କର୍ତ୍ତାମାନଙ୍କୁ ଯଥୋଚିତ ସମ୍ମାନ ପାଇବାର ଯୋଗ୍ୟ ବୋଲି ଜାଣନ୍ତୁ, ଯେପରି ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ନାମ ଓ ଶିକ୍ଷାର ନିନ୍ଦା ନ ହୁଏ। BSB BSB: All who are under the yoke of slavery should regard their masters as fully worthy of honor, so that God’s name and our teaching will not be discredited.
2 ULB ଆଉ ଯେଉଁମାନଙ୍କର କର୍ତ୍ତାମାନେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସୀ, ସେମାନେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଭାଇ ବୋଲି ଜାଣି ତୁଚ୍ଛ ନ କରନ୍ତୁ, ବରଂ ଅଧିକ ଯତ୍ନ ସହକାରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ସେବା କରନ୍ତୁ, କାରଣ ଯେଉଁମାନେ ସେବା ଦ୍ୱାରା ଉପକାର ପାଆନ୍ତି, ସେମାନେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସୀ ଓ ପ୍ରିୟପାତ୍ର। ଏହି ସମସ୍ତ ବିଷୟ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଓ ଉପଦେଶ ଦିଅ। BSB BSB: Those who have believing masters should not show disrespect because they are brothers, but should serve them all the more, since those receiving their good service are beloved believers. Teach and encourage these principles.
3 ULB କେହି ଯଦି ଭିନ୍ନ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦେଇ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରଭୁ ଯୀଶୁଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କ ହିତଜନକ ବାକ୍ୟ ଓ ଈଶ୍ୱରପରାୟଣତା ଅନୁଯାୟୀ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଗ୍ରହଣ ନ କରେ, BSB BSB: If anyone teaches another doctrine and disagrees with the sound words of our Lord Jesus Christ and with godly teaching,
4 ULB ,ତେବେ ସେ ଅସାରଗର୍ବୀ ଓ ଅଜ୍ଞାନ,ପୁଣି, ବାଦାନୁବାଦ ଓ ଯୁକ୍ତିତର୍କରେ ଲିପ୍ତ; ସେଥିରୁ ଈର୍ଷା, ବିବାଦ, ପରନିନ୍ଦା, ମନ୍ଦ ସନ୍ଦେହ, BSB BSB: he is conceited and understands nothing. Instead, he has an unhealthy interest in controversies and disputes about words, out of which come envy, strife, abusive talk, evil suspicions,
5 ULB ପୁଣି, ଯେଉଁମାନେ ଈଶ୍ୱରପରାୟଣତାକୁ ଲାଭର ଉପାୟ ବୋଲି ମନେ କରନ୍ତି, ଏପରି ଭ୍ରଷ୍ଟମନା ଓ ସତ୍ୟବର୍ଜିତ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର ସର୍ବଦା ବିରୋଧ ଜନ୍ମେ। BSB BSB: and constant friction between men of depraved mind who are devoid of the truth. These men regard godliness as a means of gain.
6 ULB ଈଶ୍ୱରପରାୟଣତା ସନ୍ତୋଷଭାବଯୁକ୍ତ ହେଲେ ପ୍ରକୃତରେ ବିଶେଷ ଲାଭଜନକ; BSB BSB: Of course, godliness with contentment is great gain.
7 ULB କାରଣ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଜଗତକୁ କିଛି ଆଣି ନାହୁଁ, ପୁଣି, ଏଠାରୁ କିଛି ନେଇଯାଇ ନ ପାରୁ; BSB BSB: For we brought nothing into the world, so we cannot carry anything out of it.
8 ULB ଏଣୁ ଖାଦ୍ୟ, ବସ୍ତ୍ର ଥିଲେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଯଥେଷ୍ଟ। BSB BSB: But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with these.
9 ULB ମାତ୍ର ଯେଉଁମାନେ ଧନୀ ହେବାକୁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କରନ୍ତି, ସେମାନେ ପରୀକ୍ଷା ଓ ଫାନ୍ଦରେ, ପୁଣି, ଅନେକ ପ୍ରକାର ଭୁଲ୍ ଓ କ୍ଷତିଜନକ ଅଭିଳାଷରେ ପଡ଼ନ୍ତି, ଏହି ସବୁ ମନୁଷ୍ୟକୁ ଧ୍ୱଂସ ଓ ବିନାଶରୂପ ସାଗରରେ ବୁଡ଼ାଇ ଦିଏ। BSB BSB: Those who want to be rich, however, fall into temptation and become ensnared by many foolish and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction.
10 ULB କାରଣ ଧନଲୋଭ ସମସ୍ତ ମନ୍ଦତାର ମୂଳ; କେହି କେହି ସେଥିରେ ଆସକ୍ତ ହୋଇ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ତ୍ୟାଗ କରି ପଥଭ୍ରଷ୍ଟ ହୋଇଅଛନ୍ତି, ପୁଣି, ବହୁ ଦୁଃଖରେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ହୃଦୟରେ ଦୁଃଖ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. By craving it, some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows.
11 ULB କିନ୍ତୁ ହେ ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଲୋକ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଏହି ସମସ୍ତଠାରୁ ପଳାୟନ କରି ଧାର୍ମିକତା, ଈଶ୍ୱରପରାୟଣତା, ବିଶ୍ୱାସ,ପ୍ରେମ, ଧୈର୍ଯ୍ୟ, ସହିଷ୍ଣୁତା ଓ ନମ୍ରତାର ଅନୁଗାମୀ ହୁଅ। BSB BSB: But you, O man of God, flee from these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness.
12 ULB ବିଶ୍ୱାସର ଉତ୍ତମ ଯୁଦ୍ଧରେ ପ୍ରାଣପଣ କର, ଅନନ୍ତ ଜୀବନ ଧରି ରଖ; ସେଥିପାଇଁ ତ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆହୁତ ହୋଇଅଛ ଓ ଅନେକ ସାକ୍ଷୀଙ୍କ ସାକ୍ଷାତରେ ଉତ୍ତମ ସାକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ଦେଇଅଛ। BSB BSB: Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made the good confession before many witnesses.
13 ULB ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କ ଜୀବନଦାତା ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ସାକ୍ଷାତରେ, ପୁଣି, ପନ୍ତୀୟ ପୀଲାତଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ଉତ୍ତମ ସାକ୍ଷ୍ୟଦାତା ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ସାକ୍ଷାତରେ, ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଆଦେଶ ଦେଉଅଛି, BSB BSB: I charge you in the presence of God, who gives life to all things, and of Christ Jesus, who made the good confession in His testimony before Pontius Pilate:
14 ULB ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରଭୁ ଯୀଶୁଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କ ଆଗମନ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଧର୍ମବିଧି ପାଳନ କରି କଳଙ୍କ ଶୂନ୍ୟ ଓ ଅନିନ୍ଦନୀୟ ହୋଇ ରୁହ। BSB BSB: Keep this commandment without stain or reproach until the appearance of our Lord Jesus Christ,
15 ULB ସେ ପରମଧନ୍ୟ ଏକମାତ୍ର ସମ୍ରାଟ, ଯେ ରାଜାମାନଙ୍କର ରାଜା ଓ ପ୍ରଭୁମାନଙ୍କର ପ୍ରଭୁ, BSB BSB: which the blessed and only Sovereign One—the King of kings and Lord of lords—will bring about in His own time.
16 ULB ଯେ ଏକମାତ୍ର ଅମର ଓ ଅଗମ୍ୟ ଜ଼୍ୟୋତିର୍ନିବାସୀ, ଯାହାଙ୍କୁ କୌଣସି ମର୍ତ୍ତ୍ୟ କେବେ ଦେଖି ନାହିଁ ବା ଦେଖି ପାରେ ନାହିଁ, ସେ ଉପଯୁକ୍ତ ସମୟରେ ତାହା ଦର୍ଶାଇବେ; ଅନନ୍ତକାଳ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ତାହାଙ୍କ ସମ୍ଭ୍ରମ ଓ ପରାକ୍ରମ ପ୍ରକାଶିତ ହେଉ। ଆମେନ୍। BSB BSB: He alone is immortal and dwells in unapproachable light. No one has ever seen Him, nor can anyone see Him. To Him be honor and eternal dominion! Amen.
17 ULB ଯେଉଁମାନେ ଏହିକାଳରେ ଧନୀ, ସେମାନେ ଯେପରି ଅହଙ୍କାରୀ ନ ହୁଅନ୍ତି ଏବଂ ଅସ୍ଥାୟୀ ଧନ ଉପରେ ନିର୍ଭର ନ କରନ୍ତି, ବରଂ ଉପଭୋଗ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ସମସ୍ତ ବିଷୟ ପ୍ରଚୁରଭାବେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦାନ କରନ୍ତି ଯେଉଁ ଈଶ୍ୱର, ତାହାଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ନିର୍ଭର କରନ୍ତି, BSB BSB: Instruct those who are rich in the present age not to be conceited and not to put their hope in the uncertainty of wealth, but in God, who richly provides all things for us to enjoy.
18 ULB ପୁଣି, ଅନ୍ୟର ଉପକାର କରି ସମସ୍ତ ସତ୍କର୍ମରେ ଧନୀ ହୁଅନ୍ତି ଆଉ ମୁକ୍ତ ହସ୍ତରେ ଓ ଉଦାର ଭାବରେ ଦାନ କରନ୍ତି, ଏଥି ନିମନ୍ତେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆଜ୍ଞା ଦିଅ; BSB BSB: Instruct them to do good, to be rich in good works, and to be generous and ready to share,
19 ULB ଏହି ପ୍ରକାର କଲେ ସେମାନେ ଭାବି ଜୀବନ ନିମନ୍ତେ ପ୍ରକୃତ ମୂଳଧନ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ପାଇଁ ସଞ୍ଚୟ କରିବେ, ଯେପରି ପ୍ରକୃତ ଜୀବନ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହୁଅନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: treasuring up for themselves a firm foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is truly life.
20 ULB ହେ ତୀମଥି, ତୁମ୍ଭଠାରେ ଯାହା ସମର୍ପିତ ହୋଇଅଛି, ତାହା ରକ୍ଷା କର; ଅସାର ବକୁଆପଣ ଓ କଥା କଥାରେ ଜ୍ଞାନର ଯୁକ୍ତିତର୍କରୁ ବିମୁଖ ହୁଅ; BSB BSB: O Timothy, guard what has been entrusted to you. Avoid irreverent, empty chatter and the opposing arguments of so-called “knowledge,”
21 ULB କେହି କେହି ତାହା ପାଳନ ନ କରି ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ବିଷୟରେ ପଥଭ୍ରଷ୍ଟ ହୋଇଅଛନ୍ତି। ଅନୁଗ୍ରହ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସହବର୍ତ୍ତୀ ହେଉ। BSB BSB: which some have professed and thus swerved away from the faith. Grace be with you all.
